Jonathan Crane is a college graduate pursuing his masters degree in pharmacology. He shares an apartment with Pamela Isley, who is pursuing a masters in botany. Jonathan likes to visit a small flower shop where the owner will sell plants they rescued from garden centers of surrounding retail stores. Occasionally he will bring a plant home for Pamela. One day at the flower shop he comes across a small withering flytrap looking plant. Thinking that Pamela might have the green thumb to fix it, he brings it home to her.  Despite her best attempts she is unable to rescue the plant, however by accident she and Jon discover that the plant is receptive to blood… Out of curiosity Pamela and Jon feed the plant its carnivorous diet, quickly growing it to a considerable size.

Their new unique plant begins to gain them much attention from their teachers and classmates. As the attention expands to begin the school they keep secret the plant’s blood thirstiness (a thing harder said than done as Jon has begun daring people to put their hand near the plant to sadistically watch their fear as they get bitten). Managing to keep the plant sustained on animals and other less ethical ways the plant eventually gets big enough that they cannot continue feeding the plant, especially as it becomes disinterested in their animal offerings. The blood must be human.

Pamela is about to give up because at this point they’d need to feed the plant an entire human, something she is unwilling to do. Jon, on the other hand, seems much less defeated by this moral boundary and eventually convinces Pamela to sacrifice Joseph King, a dental student who is addicted to nitric oxide, and infamous boyfriend of Harleen Quinzel.

Harleen is a psychiatry student at their college and shares a couple classes with Jon, and Pamela has a crush on her. Joseph is outwardly abusive to Harleen and the reason Pamela is convinced into killing him by Jon.

They off him. Feed him to the plant. Harley joins the gang. That’s all I got at the moment. Maybe the plant can me named Ivy, idk

We have seen Scarecrow experiment on Riddler? But what about the other way around. Has The Mighty Scarecrow ever gotten himself locked around in one of Riddler’s puzzles? Perhaps as revenge for the experimentation

"Well, well, well! Tick-tock, tick tock. Now the Scarecrow is really on the clock."

The modulated voice rang through the nearby speaker with a tinny edge as the unnecessarily loud volume added another component to his punishment given that its owner stood behind a window only a few feet away.

Bile hanging low in his throat, Jonathan swallowed it down with a bitter snarl as his shaky gaze centered on the green-clad and cowardly figure who hid behind the glass despite being in no real physical danger.

"Edward, when I free myself of this contraption your days are numbe-ARGH!"

Pulled from his threat by a fresh jolt of electricity, the strength of it enough to make his limbs stiffen and clench as pain radiated from the shock collar around his neck, Jonathan's vision fully blacked-out for a moment. Slowly blinking back his sight, another low growl escaped him as he struggled against the bindings which held him in place against the metal chair that housed his thin frame.

"Such a simple puzzle will not solve itself." Edward scolded him like a man disciplining a particularly petulant child. "You have two more minutes before the time between the shocks shortens once again. Eventually, your incompetence will see you fry."

Jonathan Crane did not feel fear.

It simply did not happen and especially not for Edward Nygma.

But he did feel rage and he felt it as keenly as the blade he wanted to slip between Edward's ribs as the other man smiled at him in open mocking while his slender fingers danced over the raised controls to the peraonalised shock collar.

"Be thankful, Jonathan. For his betrayal, Judas found himself disembowelled and hung for his sins. You only have a single puzzle to solve, one a child could complete, and you will be free."

Betrayal.

It had been a betrayal, that much was true, but Jonathan's only regret was lowering his guard enough to allow Edward to get the drop on him. It was a mistake he wouldn't make twice and one which would be satiated when Edward fell to his knees before him to play victim to his fears for as long as Jonathan pleased.

Another shock rocketed through him, his head snapping back against the headrest of the seat as his breath faltered. It was the sensation of a million needles, stabbing into his neck as one and branching out across his skin to spread its agony. His muscles ached with the strain as the consistent stimulation cruelly forced them as taut as steel and his ankles were also sore from hitting the legs of the chair.

Edward would not kill him, he was certain of that, but the man's stubbornness would prove more troublesome than he would like.

As would his revenge.

A week’s vacation starts tomorrow. Minus Halloween, of course, because I love working Halloween at the store enough I requested to work it. I’m up to two kids who already are clearly living in their costumes: one in a Sonic Onesie with matching yellow crocs decked in sonic-themed jibbitz, and one Batman with the built-in foam muscles on a maybe…seven year old and five year old respectively? Best part of Halloween for me, honestly, seeing the kids who are going to *be* Spider-Man or whatever until Thanksgiving when their parents finally go TAKE THAT OFF WE HAVE COMPANY COMING.

Got cleared for the Jedi costume as long as I’m bladeless and the saber stays on the belt, so that’s…honestly, easy, but also feels a little weird because it’s like “oh cool what do I do with the time, now?” Like, I debated making a togruta headdress for it but decided not to just in case it’s “scary” for the real little ones.

Car’s still needing to go to the shop because it won’t start and the hood latch is broken, and my sick time from the Week of Mystery Dysentery has come up mysteriously short a hundred bucks from my already not so great paycheck, and car insurance had to be paid.

So it looks like I’m spending a week inside cooking two big meals to make use of the pantry stuff that just got cleared, with MAYBE a third if mom feels like eating chopped liver with me if I make it, and seeing how many paper cranes I can make to contribute to the thousand.

…It’s so weird working so hard to get full time for so many years, and now the benefits are slightly annoying and way less helpful than the guaranteed hours—especially since the home situation is so toxic and I’m trapped, unable to go anywhere.

-Erik can be overwhelming in his affections even when he isn't worried for your health, and he wants to be perfectly attentive to your every need, but of course he is prone to deep distraction if a melancholy or genius strikes him. It may be wise to have a loud bell or something to draw his attention back to the world of the living. Luckily, if you don't mind the intimacy of using his bathroom, he's probably the only guy with actual running water (heated, even) around.

-Otto is similarly torn between his affection and ambitions, thus his bedside manner is largely dictated by the pressures of his current scheme. If he has time, he'll gladly keep you cozy and comfortable. He may read to you if you're not well enough to keep entertained, and thanks to his arms he can give you some physical comfort even if you're horribly contagious. Even if he's busy, he'll be sure to keep you supplied with whatever you need to get better, and woe betide anyone who tries to disturb you while you're healing.

-Jonathan doesn't have much experience playing nursemaid, or supplies to coddle you with, but he is very experienced in tracking and controlling physical symptoms in his subjects, and his home pharmacy is pretty hard to beat. It may be a troubling recovery period, but it'll be over quickly and he'll be glad to see you back on your feet. He may get a little too interested in any fever dreams that trouble you, however...

-I hope you haven't given Edgar your credit card information because he is going to order every comfort and curative he can find on the internet, rush delivery. He doesn't really understand what sickness is like, but he understands distress and has both documentaries on the effect of sickness on frail human bodies AND every sitcom or soap episode ever written about sick days to "research" from. He will try to keep a cheerful attitude for your sake, but it's clear he's panicking. He will try to sing to soothe you, but his eagerness supercedes his volume control so it'll take a little adjusting to learn soft and sweet instead of boisterous and headache-worsening.

Do Sandy and Kana exist in this universe? If so, were their basis changed so as to keep faithful to the series' British roots? (for example, Sandy being changed from a Motorcar/Rail Speeder into a BR Class 15)

Hi, Sandy and Kana do exist in my au. Sandy is a fairmont mt14 rail speeder/inspection trolley built by the current CME at Crovan’s Gate Dr. Ruth Bell who has also built Philip and Cleo, thus becoming siblings like and best friends. She is currently owned by the works though Sandy loften shunt at the big stations but usually is seen doing track repairs and maintenance on all of the others as well alongside the works gang/crew with her ability to switch her tools.

Sandy also acts as Ruth’s main personal inspection trolley since Cleo isn’t that use to the busy railway life. Also fun fact, both Sandy and Cleo can switch their gauges from miniature-narrow-standard (though this might change for Cleo) sandy especially to help out with maintenance on all the railways (except the cfr though knowing how much spunk and a bit of a daredevil Sandy is, that’s probably for the best.)

Kana on the other hand, works on the Peel Godred Branchline alongside her twin Akira, Riff and Jiff (who’s names are changed) Stafford and a bunch of ocs having been introduced during my take of the International Railway Show Competition in the 90s-early 2000s. Kana and Akira are high speed electric engines (they are either Class 951 Shinkansen built in the 1970s or my take of the BR Class 93 (InterCity 250) billy by Hitachi Rail (so they’re a A-train). that works on the Peel Godred Branch Line extension from Peel Godred to Barrow-In-Furness. They’re both very good friends with the CFR engines.

Once Ruth attempted to make them and some of the other electric engines independent from electricity albeit via power charging stations hence to why Kana tries to go about the island more while the other were content being in one place, mainly to the earl’s estate railway despite her battery draining quicker though they have charging stations in the museums since she’s rechargeable like Stafford as Ruth helped install it at Crovan’s Gate Works, there’s also charging stations at both Ulfstead, Vicarstown and of course Peel Godred itself.
