synopsis: In the city of Vallum, once a haven for art, music, and freedom, a brutal, authoritarian regime has taken control. The oligarchs exercise strict control over the population, imposing strict moral codes. Clipes que não saem da minha cabeça

Oioi! Meio aleatória essa postagem de hoje, mas estava afim de comentar sobre, como vocês viram no título, clipes que não saem da minha cabeça. Não são necessariamente os meus MVs favoritos, e sim, alguns lançamentos recentes que de certa forma se tornaram especiais :D Bora lá:

Tunnel Vision - Melanie Martinez

Até agora é o meu favorito da era atual da Melanie, Portals. Algumas pessoas consideram ele mais simples ou sem graça comparado com os demais, mas na minha opinião a mensagem dele é uma das mais tocantes. No clipe, a criatura é uma personagem inserida numa espécie de videogame, e são seus fãs que a controlam: "faça o cabelo dela crescer", "deixe-a magra e alta", "persiga ela para tirar fotos", "dê flores a ela", "mande as flores embora", entre outros.

No final, a criatura desaparece ao entrar num túnel, ao som de "show me how far obsession goes, could've been more, now we'll never know" e uma tela de game over aparece.

É uma crítica bem interessante à forma que muitos artistas são tratados, e foi abordada de uma forma lúdica e bonita. Adoro as coreografias aqui.

Dancing in Babylon - MGMT

Mas é óbvio que MGMT faz parte dessa mini lista! <3 Acabei de ver aqui, e o single (e o clipe) de Dancing in Babylon foram lançados há um ano e alguns dias. Nossa, lembro que estava no polo da faculdade quando lançou e comecei a assistir ele enquanto esperava minha mãe.

Essa, sem dúvidas, é uma das letras mais bonitas do MGMT. Já me acostumei com as letras psicodélicas e ditas como "sem sentido" deles, e de certa forma aqui não foi diferente. Mas essa é explicitamente uma música sobre amor, e não uma daquelas que talvez quem sabe possa ser sobre amor. O clipe retrata uma história de amor dentro de um videogame (outro clipe de videogame!) e das pessoas do outro lado das telas, com alguns cortes para a banda tocando.

Acho bonita a reconciliação do casal no final, em uma cena em que todos começam a cantar e dançar enquanto Andrew repete "I wanna tell everyone I know I love you". Pode ser uma música sobre amor em todas as suas áreas. O próprio Andrew comentou, se não me engano, que esse trecho tem significado ambíguo, podendo ser o eu lírico dizendo para as pessoas que conhece que ama alguém específico ou que o eu lírico diria às pessoas que ele conhece que as ama).

Butterfly - MARINA

E teremos um lançamento super recente na lista, sim! Butterfly, da Marina, é tudo de bom. A música é maravilhosa, e o clipe, mesmo que um pouco mais simples que os dessa lista, é muito agradável. Você se sente nos anos 60, e essa estética nas obras da Marina são muito nostálgicas: o clipe de Oh No e o álbum Electra Heart inteiro tem esse pique. Mas aqui é diferente de certa forma.

As cores no clipe começam frias e azuladas, passando por efeitos p&b até, enfim, chegarem em diversos tons coloridos e saturados. Essa mudança vai acontecendo ao longo da letra, e a partir do primeiro refrão, "I'm a butterfly, you've just never see my energy, I'm already high, floating on a breeze", é como se Marina parecesse mais livre e feliz, podendo mostrar suas cores - até porque essa é a mensagem da música. Borboletas representam liberdade, e ela parece muito animada para essa nova era que está chegando em sua carreira!

Esses são os clipes que não saem da minha cabeça, hehehe. Vocês também têm clipes que alugam um triplex na cabeça de vocês? Eu tenho um montão, mas aqui só falei de 3, que são mais recentes, pra não estender muito o post :)

Ok so im going to like, do hms as the first 3 marina albums, because i feel like it.

This is heart, he is now Electra heart, i might write lore for this but idk cause my only ideas is "heart bottles all that shit up execpt for love and obsessions and explodes as a result"

side note, the outfit he is wearing is semi based on the outfit the cj Fandom usually draws him in and the outfits Marina wears in the music videos.

Im going to be doing mind (mind jewels?) as the family jewels( so stay tuned for that)

When I finish the sketches for all of them ill put them together and color and line them.
