ftr my thoughts on jin guangyao portraying himself as being small and weak and harmless and vulnerable are essentially that it isn't an act, because an act in this context implies a duplicity and/or disingenuousness that i don't think is present. but i do think it is a performance--it's just a performance that he has to play given the power disparity between himself and the rest of the cultivation world, at least until he becomes chief cultivator. in short, jin guangyao is performing the role of the non-threatening, subservient retainer that is expected of him to ensure his own survival in a world where he knows that the only person he can rely on to put his needs first is himself.

I love the title of angsty heist wip (edited to add: it’s called The Court of Rogues), but that's mean, because I haven't revealed it yet. I picked it because it sounds cool and encompasses the entire cast of characters rather than prioritizing just one.

I also love the title of an as-yet-unwritten chapter of TQOL (so let's hope I don't change my mind about it, lol) for being one of the only (if not the only - we'll see when we get to the end) literary reference titles, and it's to a play that's so very close to my heart and such an apt allusion for this particular story. Can you guess the play? I picked it because it's tragictragictragic.

I love Allan Armstrong Dale's stupid name. It's nothing but Robin Hood references. Alan-a-Dale the minstrel, Joe Armstrong who played him in 2008, and Jonas Armstrong who played Robin Hood in 2008. I make myself laugh.

I love an upcoming TQOL chapter title, "The Mark of Thieves." It's cute, moving, symbolic, foreshadowing, AND a joke, too.

I love a lot of my TPOT chapter titles, which sadly got killed in the new version, but my fave has to be Ch. 49, "Connected Far Beyond a Miracle." Love the song I poached it from, but I also frickin love how it encompasses the running thread of the whole "we were meant to meet" thing flowing through the book. And it goes so nicely with Will's angst in that chapter. And it foreshadows the end. *chef's kiss*

I could think of no better way to share the news than this!

So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.

Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.

Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!

Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)

He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!

I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!

By uncritically supporting her, by loudly voicing the fact across every social media platform that you’re going to vote for her, and even straight up saying with your whole chest that you’re putting your interests first before the Palestinians (seriously you guys have no shame. Like it is actually shocking to me how unbelievably cruel some of you are), and most especially by DONATING to her lmfaoo….you are letting her know, you are literally EXPLICITLY telling her, that the Palestinians are fair game. You are telling her she can kill as many Palestinians as she wants, drop as many bombs on the Middle East as she wants, and it’s ok because you will still vote for her anyway.

For the love of God, if you are in the USA, PLEASE try to understand the power of your vote. Your vote decides if someone in another part of the world dies. Please at least try to feel the gravity of that. Please at least TRY to put pressure on your politicians. This uncritical and loud support is the worst thing you can do. You are signing a death sentence for the people of Gaza with your actions.
