Just giving a formal hiatus announcement due to my diagnosis. I’ve already made an appointment with the oncologist, so we will be discussing my upcoming surgery with him in about a week. Afterwards, we will have to schedule when I’m coming to the hospital and go over how long it looks like I might have to stay there. General estimated recovery will be 6 to 8 weeks (or more, seeing as it’s an invasive AND complicated surgery), so I’ll probably be out of commission for awhile…

I just want to thank everyone who sent me kind words earlier, your support IS greatly helping me process this turn of events.

I’m honestly scared.

I’ve never had a major surgery of this magnitude before, but I do have a history of having a high tolerance to strong opioid painkillers (like… I can DRIVE while under the influence of oxy or hydrocodone) and anesthesia.

I will warn them about that, so hopefully it won’t be another hurdle in an already difficult looking surgery plan.

I’ll keep you posted and thank you again for helping me through what’s proving to be a very difficult time of my life.
