Scene 5

--Edith sat in the kitchen, waiting for Sam to tell her when it was ready. She and him already cleaned up the little mess there was from them making a strawberry pie.

--It started when Sam asked her what favorite pie was, and she said she never once had pie. It befuddled him for a moment before he recalled what type of past she had.

--So there the two were, basking in the sweet aroma that the pie was creating. The moonlight was entering the kitchen, and the stars shone, Edith stared at the stars.

--"Pie's nearly ready." Sam groaned out as he checked inside of the oven. When he looked over at Edith, he saw a somber look, he walked up to her and gently nudged her.

--"Yes?" She didn't bother to look away from the stars, Sam chuckled a bit before he turned to look at the stars with her.

--There was silence, it was nice to have this type of silence, Edith looked at Sam. His grey eyes brought comfort but a different comfort than William's own.

--She smiled, and looked back at the stars, she felt truly at peace with the two vampires she knows. The only vampires she knows actually, the other people she know are Healers, but they never stay long, and two Demons, Rigel a Sadism Demon and Camelopardalis a Serenity Deamon.

--Although RIgel just lurked around her, and Camelopardalis was just a therapist for her. So her only family right now was Sam and William. She laid her head down on her arms and closed her eyes.

--Edith felt herself being shaken carefully, she stretched her arms in front of her and yawned. Edith looked up at Sam and had a questioning look.

--"It's done, want somethin' to drink with it?" Sam asked in a whisper, trying to keep quiet for Edith who just grumbled out tea. Sam began to prepare some for Edith.

--Edith looked at the window, and swore she saw something move, but shook it off with the thought her mind was still groggy from waking up. Edith hopped of her chair, bare feet hitting the cold floor, and carried the chair to the cupboard where the cups were.

--She climbed the chair, and climbed up more to open the cupboard, grabbing a cup for Sam and her cup. It was a white cup with a red rim and was decorated with bats and wolves.

--She set hers and Sams on the counter top, then climbed back down, put the chair back in its rightful place and finally carried hers and his cups to the table.

--Where Sam already had a slice of pie already on a plate for her, and waiting for her cup. She smiled and gave his firsts, he poured, then Edith gave her cup, he poured.

--She drank her tea first, nervous to try something new, but she tried the pie and absolutely loved it. Edith asked for more when she finished her first slice, Sam chuckled and gave her a second slice.

--In total she had four slices, after that she was full and happy. Edith, first felt William's Core, then heard his footsteps on the porch. Edith perked up and hurriedly went to find her shoes.

--By the time she came back William was inside with a cup of tea, and a smile on his face. Edith foot tapped in excitement and she rushed over to him and gave him a hug.

--"Ready to go home, MoonDrop?" William whispered and she nodded.

--Waving goodbye to Sam as they headed to the car, William opened the backdoor for her and she climbed in. He got inside as she buckled herself.

Now, I don't pretend to tell you how to find happiness and love, when every day is a struggle to survive. But I do insist that you do survive, because the days and the years ahead are worth living for!
