When Olrox asked Mizrak to come with him to America, Mizrak’s reply was “And spend a lifetime running from her?”. It wasn’t a flat-out “No” but a hypothetical scenario, where they would be pursued by Erzsebet and her followers, always on the run. This implies in the few short seconds between Olrox’s offer and his reply, Mizrak had already considered a life with Olrox and decided a life of a fugitive wasn’t what he wanted. But the point is he had considered, maybe even before Olrox asked, since the moment Olrox told him he’d go back to America.

(In short, it’s not that Mizrak didn’t want to be with Olrox; he just didn’t want to run.)
