Gotta admit, looking back at some of my old posts and I weirdly feel accomplished for having pissed off the bobs to the point where a Twitter thread to bash me was created because I wrote a eddietaylor with a supportive bucktommy fic.

For @911-rarepair-week prompt 1: beginnings/endings ✨️
Pairing: Eddie/Taylor
Rated M for some smut
Read on ao3 or under the cut!
Eddie was...confused. For many reasons.
When Buck told him he and Tommy were back together he was ecstatic for him, the obsessive baking had stopped and that genuine smile returned– and then she was suddenly around. Not during any time he hung out with Tommy or them both together, but Eddie would pull up to Tommy's to see her leaving, or try to make plans and sometimes get told he already had plans with her.
He reformed his friendship with Tommy two months before he and Buck reconciled, but had no idea that Taylor fucking Kelly somehow wormed her way into Tommy's life until then.
Eddie nearly crashed his car into Tommy's mailbox when he saw her walk out of the house for the first time, wearing a sweater that was way too big to be hers and what looked like an overnight bag.
Then nearly died choking on his beer when Tommy informed him he and Taylor were friends.
"I won't make you hang out with her Eddie, but she's not going anywhere either just so you know."
So Eddie did the logical thing–he drove straight to Buck's after.
"Yeah, I know they're friends now," Buck looked at Eddie pacing his loft with clear amusement. "They ran into each other not too long after our breakup."
"I just-" He stopped pacing and turned, placing his hands on the table leaning forward. "How?! And why aren't you weirded out by your boyfriend and ex-girlfriend being good friends!"
Buck shrugged from where he was leaning against the island. "She's rarely around when I'm with Tommy, we've talked sure but at this point she's more his friend then my ex. As for how...I don't know what to tell you Eddie, Tommy didn't go into details and I was just happy someone was there for him."
Eddie flinched at the words. Buck never told him to stop talking to Tommy yet he did so anyway, and so did everyone else. It wasn't until he came back from a trip to Texas and a scolding by Chris that he called. "But does it have to be her?" He huffed.
"She's not some demon Eddie," Buck laughed.
"A witch then," He grumbled. "She put a damn spell on Tommy."
Buck shook his head, chuckling. "Is this you hating Taylor or you being annoyed that she's stealing time with Tommy?" He said, a teasing glint in his eye that had Eddie refusing to answer.
It's about hating the she-devil, obviously.
It was a Friday night when Eddie actually spoke to Taylor for the first time.
Having missed Tommy's birthday while they were broken up Buck insisted on a late celebration, and Tommy despite not seeming too excited for it, couldn't say no when hit with a pleading pouting Buck.
Eddie realizes how worth it it is when he sees the look on Tommy's face walking over to the section of the karaoke bar they were at, seeing everyone who came to a late celebration for him.
Tommy deserves it, even if he did take a large swig of his beer to cover his scowl when Taylor hugged him, kissing his cheek after they pulled away. He glanced at Hen and Chimney to see their reactions, but there was nothing and as the night went on he saw them be polite with her anytime they interacted– in fact everyone but him seemed to be fine with her.
Eddie kept drinking, eventually finding himself leaning against the bar, watching a tipsy Tommy and Chimney belt out some song from a movie half of them probably didn't know but everyone was enjoying.
It was then that Taylor walked up to him.
"Eddie."
He glanced at her quickly before turning back to the stage.  "Taylor."
"Okay, what's your issue with me?" She sighed, sitting on the stool closest to him, her knee brushing against him making his body tense for a second. "I know I needed to apologize to the others, so I did and we're on okay ground, but I don't recall doing anything to make you hate me this much." Taylor glanced over at Buck where he sat with Maddie hollering towards their men on stage. "Is it because I was a crappy girlfriend to Buck or-"
"You're selfish. You only care about yourself and your career and you'll throw anyone under the bus if need be," Eddie snapped at her, frustration and something else he couldn't place rising.
"I admit that was me, but do you really think Tommy would have become my friend like he has if that was still me?"
"Oh you suddenly changed into a better person huh?"
She frowned, and crossed her arms over her chest. Eddie averted his gaze and shfited on his feet, not looking at the dip of her shirt. "People can change Eddie, it's been two years."
He said nothing and took another sip of his drink. He didn't want to admit she was right, people can change– and deep down he knew he was holding onto his dislike because hating her was easier than dealing with the opposite.
Taylor nodded her head, accepting his silence as she got up and left.
His eyes were glued to her walking away even as Buck suddenly was at his side, throwing an arm over Eddie's shoulders.
"Man, Tommy is hot." Buck said beaming, gaze locked on Tommy who was playfully bowing on stage as the song ended.
Eddie watched Taylor step onto it, genuinely laughing at something Tommy told her, his next words slipping out of his mouth before he registered them. "Taylor's hot."
Buck's eyes snapped to him, wide and shocked. "What?"
"I need another beer," Eddie groaned, shoving Buck away to get another.
"Wait wait! Taylor's what-"
"I didn't say anything!"
"That's why you hate her so much!" Buck bounced next to him, grinning, tipping slightly with his own drinks getting to him. "You like her!"
"I don't like her man!"
"Okay fine you think she's hot."
"Go away Buck." Eddie practically whined, cradling his beer to him and dropping his head against the bar a little too hard. "I'm not into the she-devil. I had too many beers that's all!"
"Whatever you say!" Buck said with a laugh, ruffling Eddie's hair like he was a child much to his displeasure before running off, yelling for Tommy and tackling him the second he walked off the steps.
His gaze went back to Taylor. Her eyes met his as she finished singing her line and the song ended. He didn't look away until she walked off the stage.
Eddie would take the information to his grave, but he had one or two dreams about Taylor in the past. At least one while she was with Buck that left him making an excuse to not hang out when they were off shift, terrified of running into her and too guilty to look at his best friend.
None of it compared to the real Taylor who laid naked in bed beside him as thoughts of last night filtered in through the haze of alcohol.
Eddie let his eyes and hands wander over her, a little obsessed with the way she moved her hips to match his thrusts, with the way her body was flushed from her first orgasm, and the look of pleasure he was causing.
"Eddie.." She moaned out, nails digging into his back "Get on your back." The words sounded breathless, but the demand behind them was clear. Eddie groaned and wrapped his arm around her, flipping them so she was on top.
Taylor sat up, and Eddie wished he could take a mental picture. Her sitting on his cock, body flushed with a slight sheen of sweat, hair a mess...–damn he was screwed wasn't he?
She grabbed for his wrists, his eyebrows raising as she pinned them above his head. Her eyes locked with his as she started riding him. Eddie moaned when she sunk back down on him the first time and the feeling of her holding his wrists down, both of them knowing full well he could easily move them.
Eddie kept them there. It was the first time in this position for him–and he couldn't deny how much he was liking it.
"Next time I'll have to tie them up," Taylor told him, mouth inches from his. Eddie's hips thrust up at her words making her chuckle.
Eddie dragged a hand down his face. Fuck.
Beside him Taylor shifted making him tense up.
"Stop thinking so much," Taylor huffed. "We had sex, so what?"
"You're my best friend's ex, that's what! And we hate each other!"
Taylor shifted up, the sheet falling more off her body. Eddie inhaled sharply and looked away, missing her amused smirk and wandering eyes. "You hate me Eddie, remember, I have no issue with you."
"That's not- I mean-" He swallowed roughly, mind halting as his eyes trailed downwards.
Half of him wanted to wipe that smirk off her lips...the other flashed back to the night before when those same lips were wrapped around him.
Taylor shifted onto her side, pulling the sheet off her body. He felt annoyance spike at the knowing glint, but it did nothing to dim the desire coursing through him. Eddie cursed under his breath before rolling on top of her as she grinned.
Oh yeah he was so completely fucked.

wait wait wait WAIT. eddietaylor has so much potential and would be fucking hilarious.
they have to hide their relationship from buck when its starting out bc it’s awkward and eddie is 1000% breaking the bro code and “how am i supposed to tell him i’m sleeping with his ex? is that illegal? it feels illegal.”
one day buck just collapses into bed and goes “i think eddie’s hiding something from me”
and tommy’s like “… okay?”
“yeah he keeps blushing when he looks at me and then looks away quickly and he keeps running when i try and talk to him and- oh my god.”
cue buck driving over to eddie’s and bursting into eddie’s bedroom like: “eddie do you have a crush on me because i REALLY don’t feel the same and if you do its gonna make work awkward and-”
and then taylor fucking kelly walks out of eddie’s bathroom having CLEARLY just taken a shower and pulls out the “not everythings about you, buck” line
eddietaylor would be 10x more interesting and fun to watch than buddie going canon
josie you’re starting off with a bang i see 👀 !!!! listen, eddietaylor would be soooooo hot. the enemies with benefits to friends with benefits to lovers storyline they’d have would be so good and i’d eat up every moment of it. kinda wish they brought taylor in for eddie and not buck to begin with, or at least, the second time around. ughhhh

Eddie: Why did you ask me to meet you?
Taylor: Because I thought Buck coming out meant that you two would finally be together.
Eddie: What? Why would you think that?
Taylor: Really? Buck, who pretty much became Chris' second dad from the day he met him? The same Buck who's been with you through thick and thin?
Eddie: Yeah, he's my best friend. He doesn't like me like that though, besides he's dating Tommy.
Taylor: I've spoken to him a lot these past weeks, so trust me when I say this. If you're interested, let him know.
Eddie: Why would I trust you?
Taylor: Because I don’t care enough about you to lie.

I respect rarepair shippers so much. Lowkey feel like yall are the backbone of fandom. When everyone else is falling apart yall are like, “what if I put these controversial or people that no one else really thinks about together.” And then you go and make some beautiful content. It’s great. Thank you for your service.

Okay okay if they’re going to make Eddie’s endgame relationship with a woman I think it should be Kim. Like it can’t be some perfectly nice perfectly normal AnaMarisol 3.0 it needs to be a woman who is insane that’s the only way you can get me behind straight!Eddie and Kim is the only woman on the show to date who is insane enough

For @911-rarepair-week day 2: found family ✨️
Pairing: Eddie/Taylor
Rated E for some smut
Read on ao3 or under the cut!
It's been a week since Taylor slept with one of the last men she ever expected to– and she had yet to say a word to anyone, or more specifically Tommy.
She wanted to tell him, the words sitting on the tip of her tongue the day after it happened as she brought him and Buck a late breakfast knowing they drank way more than she did. She sat at the kitchen table picking at her own breakfast burrito, unable to focus on the conversation they were having, her mind shifting to the way Eddie looked at her when he left her place– eyes intense gazing at her coming out of the shower wrapped in a towel, looking like he was going to suggest another round.
It had been a while since a decent man not only looked at her like that, but made her keep wanting more and more.
Taylor wasn't blind. Eddie was always attractive to her, but the want was so new her head spun. Sure there were a handful of sex dreams featuring the man—some with Buck included some not—but never had she actually wanted him in reality. Until now that is. Taylor knew she was more on the dominant side in bed and a lot of men she met had egos that couldn't handle not being in that role, but Eddie? He let her take control and liked it, not tolerated it as others did. The last man who let her have that control was Buck, but she didn't remember him readily surrendering to it as Eddie did– and that was before she factored in the mind-blowing sex in general.
So she sat at the table, itching to say something about it, but held back.
What was she supposed to say to the man who not only became her best friend but her family?
Taylor knew Tommy wouldn't have a problem with her having sex with one of his best friends, but there was a small thought in her head of how easily this could be made messy and complicated for Tommy so she shouldn't.
It was one night and morning after all.
Two weeks. Two weeks of going about her days as if nothing happened. She hasn't heard from or seen Eddie since, and she knew that's the way it had to be, seeing as how anything with them both could only end in disaster, and the man hated her. She certainly couldn't take into account the way he saw her with no makeup on, looking as if she took his breath away. It was all one heat of the moment occasion.
Only, the nagging feeling to tell someone kept gnawing at her. But Taylor didn't have anyone to tell except Tommy, and she couldn't do that.
She sat in her office at the news station that was more a closet than an office, and went back to what Eddie said that night at the bar. She was selfish before, and right now proved it. Any friendship she had she burned in one way or another for her career or self preservation. Tommy was it and maybe Buck now– and wasn't that a sad thought?
Taylor sighed and closed her laptop, gaze turning to the only picture on her desk that was the latest addition to the few things lined along it. It was only taken in the last week, but it made her feel less alone so she made a physical copy for her desk—fuck her life has become sad outside of her career hasn't it?—she was in the middle of laughing in the photo, Tommy with one arm around her shoulders looking seconds from laughing himself, and a beaming grinning Buck on her other side that had his arm around her laying on Tommy's. Taylor looked small between the two men but the happiest she ever looked. Ever since the late birthday celebration, Buck made his appearance anytime she was at Tommy's and Taylor found she didn't mind. There was no awkwardness, no animosity, only a friendship growing again between her and Buck with zero sexual attraction lingering in the background.
At first she wondered if Eddie told him, but there were no hints at that being a possibility. She couldn't tell if it was a relief or disappointment.
A whole month passed before Taylor saw him.
There was a big extended-118 barbecue being held at Bobby and Athena's in celebration of the house finally being done, and Taylor was shocked to learn she was invited, but couldn't say no to Buck who told her and seemed excited about making her favorite dish as he was determined to make everyone's favorite with Bobby.
Sure Taylor was invited to some 118 things when dating Buck but it had nothing to do with any of them liking her, she was the girlfriend that was it. Now, she was Buck and Tommy's friend and she felt the genuine nature of the invite.
A week before the barbecue Taylor felt determined to settle things between her and Eddie once and for all.
Or at least that was the plan.
Taylor found the moment when Eddie went inside to grab a beer as the coolers outside were all non-alcoholic drinks. She grabbed his arm and dragged him into the bathroom, ignoring his protests.
"Taylor what the he-"
"We need to talk."
Eddie raised an eyebrow. "Do we?"
"Yes!" She rolled her eyes at his dismissive tone. "Look it was just sex and that's fine, but Buck and I have become friends again so I have a feeling this whole keeping our friendship with them separate thing isn't going to work much longer."
"Just worming your way into everyone's lives aren't you?" Eddie said with a scoff. "First Tommy now Buck, and you're invited to a 118 barbecue and not just a plus one, what's your plan here, Taylor? Waiting around for material on the next book?"
Taylor sucked in a breath and backed away. Hurt clear across her face for only a second before she caught herself. But she wasn't quick enough to hide it, as Eddie's scowl dropped.
"Taylor I'm sorry it just slipped out-"
"You hate me, I know." She clenched her jaw and met his gaze head on, refusing to let him see her as weak. "But I don't want it to cause problems for Tommy and Buck, which is why we need to talk about that night."
"I just- I don't know what there is to talk about. We had sex, we both had a good time, but it's out of our system and that's all there is to it."
"Is it?" Taylor stepped back into his space, the charge in the air having been consistent even with Eddie's harsh words. "Because I don't believe me using my vibrator thinking of that night, of you, means it's out of my system."
Eddie's eyes locked on hers, surprise evident on his face at her admission. She...hadn't meant to say that out loud. Shit.
Fuck it she decided.
Taylor reached behind her and locked the door. This wasn't the plan, but she couldn't deny it was a thought she wanted. "Tell me you haven't been thinking about it, about me, and I'll unlock this door and go."
"So much for talking about it huh?" Eddie said, taking another step, their bodies so close she could smell the faint traces of cologne and feel his breath on her skin.
"Shut up." Taylor huffed, hand reaching to the back of his neck, pulling him into a kiss. Eddie groaned into her before returning it, placing his hands on her hips to pull her body flush against his own.
Taylor gasped when Eddie grabbed her, lifting her into the bathroom counter. Eddie's eyes were enough to show her how much he wanted this. It made her head spin seeing the effect she had on him, a man who claimed to dislike her but in heated moments treated her better than most of the men she's spent time with.
She dropped her purse from around her shoulder, letting it hit the counter not caring that it dropped into the sink as Eddie pulled her more towards the edge, hands sliding up her thighs and under her dress, fingers tracing over the lace before pushing them aside. Taylor couldn't stop the whimper breaking free when he touched her. Eddie muttered a curse under his breath, and her face flushed knowing he discovered just how wet she was already. Usually she would make a snarky comment to show how unashamed she was, but something about Eddie Diaz threw her off balance.
"Is this something you thought of?" He asked, his voice sending a shiver down her spine, her legs opening wider on their own accord.
Taylor nodded, gasping out a moan when two fingers slid into her with ease. "One of the things."
Eddie kept talking as he moved his fingers, fucking her with them as his thumb found her clit. "What else huh? Me getting on my knees for you? Letting you tie me up in my bed? Riding me like you did that night?"
Taylor gripped his arm, nails digging in as the pleasure built with every word and movement. She loved and hated how much her body reacted to him, getting her close so damn easy that she wondered if he put a spell on her of some sort. "Fuck," She moaned. "Thought of you inside me a lot, t-the way you fit just right-"
"Yeah?" He sounded breathlessly, like he couldn't possibly be hearing her words. "You felt so damn perfect around my cock-"
Taylor kissed him hard to cover up the sounds crawling their way out of her throat as she clenched hard around his fingers, body shuddering as her orgasm crashed into her. Eddie let her ride it out before pulling his hand from beneath her dress.
Taylor wasted no time after that in undoing his pants, yanking them down, an ache growing as she needed him again.
"Taylor I don't have-" He cut himself off, chuckling as she reached for her purse, depositing it back in the sink without a care as she pulled the condom out.
She smirked and ripped it open, keeping her eyes on his face as she put it on him. Eddie groaned and grabbed for her, Taylor on the edge of the counter and him standing between her open legs as he finally pushed inside her.
"Now fuck me like you mean it, Diaz." She told him, one hand on the counter for leverage, pushing herself down the length of his cock before he could move.
Eddie moaned and looked at her, the eye contact causing flutters in her stomach for reasons she didn't know and wasn't sure she wanted to know.
They stayed in her stomach even when Eddie listened and gave her what she wanted.
They left the bathroom separately after making sure the condom was covered in the trash and Eddie helped her clean up–something she would not be thinking about right now because how could the man who gently took care of her despite her protests be the same man who thought she was using them all?
When Taylor got back to the backyard, she breathed a sigh of relief seeing everyone crowded around Buck happy about something.
Tommy walked up beside her, and Taylor schooled her expressions as his eyes roamed her. "You know, I expect that fancy chocolate you like as a thank you."
Taylor whipped her head around, eyebrow raised. "Excuse me?"
"You see everyone's attention focused on Evan right now?" Tommy threw his arm around her shoulder with a smug smirk, pointing at where Hen and Maddie were hugging Buck. "I told them I asked him to move in with me, to distract them when you two were gone for too long."
Taylor's body tensed. "Tommy-"
He laughed under his breath and removed his arm from around her so he could face her. "Tay, I saw you two leave the bar together and the next day you were distant and had a hickey. When I saw Eddie later that day, he was completely out of it, which to anyone else could have been blamed on a hangover. But it wasn't much of a stretch to put two and two together."
She flinched. "Did anyone else see?"
"They were a little distracted by Lucy and Jordan practically stripping on stage during their song." Tommy told her, shaking his head with an amused grin at his drunk off their ass coworkers before he sighed and grabbed her into a hug. Taylor settled against him, tense shoulders dropping. "I can't tell you what you can and can't do Tay, but if Eddie hurts you I don't care I will kick his ass."
"Why are you so sure it won't be me who hurts him?" Her voice mumbled against him, it was usually her who did the hurting wasn't it?
"Eddie doesn't have the best track record let me just say that, and he won't mean to hurt you but it's a possibility. He's one of my best friends but I'm not blind to his faults either." Tommy pulled her away, his hands going to her shoulders, making sure she looked at him. "You're not the same person you were and you know that, you worked to become better and you've proved that over and over." His words washed over her, over the cracks in her armor Eddie's words caused. Tommy had a habit of knowing what she needed to hear without knowing. It was refreshing and frustrating all the same.
Taylor gave him a grateful smile just as Eddie came outside with the beer he intended to grab when he first went inside.
Tommy gave her shoulder a squeeze and walked off towards the group, wrapping his arms around his sitting boyfriend and kissing the top of his head.
Eddie stood beside her and cleared his throat. "Everything okay?"
She debated for a second on not telling him, but she was trying to show him she wasn't the same Taylor Kelly wasn't she? Eddie held out a beer for her, his eyes on everyone else and avoiding looking right at her.
Taylor took it and breathed out. "Tommy knows, he saw us leaving together that night..and when we were both gone, well."
Eddie sucked in a breath. "And?"
"Has no issue with it," She told him, keeping to herself the comments on Eddie possibly hurting her.
"Good..that's good."
Taylor sent him a small smile and opened her mouth to say more, to tell him she didn't want that to be the last time, when Chimney called her over shouting across the yard jokingly asking if she was moving into Tommy's too.
She left Eddie standing there, turning back for a second to see him watching her before she got roped into the conversation. When he came over to join them, Taylor felt his hand brush over her back sending tingles across her skin.
Oh yeah she was so completely fucked.

I actually need more EddieTaylor in my life so 😤😤😤 your Make Me Write game!
I don't know what it is about this pairing that's invaded my brain*, but ever since that EddieTaylor fic got published a couple of months ago I can't see Eddie with anyone else now 😂
No one at the 118 was unnattractive. They were all firefighters, after all. Buck has always been her favourite - or had been, before they'd broken up. She's always been drawn to the golden boys, the ones with puppy dog energy and sunshine smiles. And those were the ones who always seem drawn to her too; the ones who have the patience to put up with her personality, at least for a little while. But there's no denying that Eddie Diaz is a catch. Objectively, he might even be hotter than Buck. His hair is perfeclty imperfect, celebrity dishevelled with dark strands falling down over his forehead, strands that she can just imagine reaching out for, to brush away. She could let her fingers linger, soft against the skin behind his ears, and maybe their eyes would meet and he'd falter for a second before looking away, thinking about his friendship with Buck and how nothing could happen between them...
*Actually I could have a pretty good guess, but that would be a long and rambling essay. Maybe another time.
