Hello,, I've been a silent spectator for a while, liking and reposting everything that makes my heart and lower heart flutter in excitement ✨
I also really love your silly posts and I'd like to join your group of anonymous horny spectators, that scream at you in excitement for your wonderful fantasy monsters <3
May I be your 🌚 (pervert moon) Anon? :)
Ps. I hope you'll have a wonderful night filled with sweet dreams ✨
It is my pleasure to have you and everyone else in this family, anon. Speaking of everyone else...
I have included some of the anon proposals in this post, just as a way to keep things somewhat organized within the household.
To ☁ anon, I thank you for the recommendation. I have never heard of this Epic; I'm an old man, you must understand. All I have as a reference when it comes to Homer's Odyssey is the book itself. It's nice to know it has a musical adaptation
💕 anon, feel free to speak your mind. You'll notice most people don't exactly hold back here.
👁 anon, have a good day. Skibidi toilet rizz.
🔮 anon, if you look closely at my tray of cookies, you will notice I've included a little surprise. The future is now.
💥 anon, rest assured, your spark has not been taken. Maybe don't stand too close to the furniture, though.
Lastly, a rather fun coincidence to see two dragon anons. 🐲 and 🐉? Is that how it works?
It should be rather obvious that I'm also grateful for everyone's kind words. If I'm slow to answer or scatterbrained, my awkwardness is to blame. Pretend I'm a goldfish who requires a little extra patience to cooperate. It does its best.

Zuko's banishment journey so far: A Recap of LTF
A comprehensive summary of each part leading up to the latest, Ripples Make Waves, as requested by Anon. For an added bonus, a visual timeline of where each part falls! Huh, wonder what's happening at the end of autumn year 3...
Year 1
Zuko is banished and healing from the Agni Kai on his ancient warship, the Sazanami. First stop is the Western Air Temple, where he discovers a hidden room dedicated to his ancestor, Princess Akari, and a mysterious egg kept warm in a magical fire. The room is obviously made by Avatar Yangchen, who he was taught had betrayed Princess Akari which led to her death. But the dedication to Akari in Yangchen's home doesn't line up with that... Zuko takes the egg and keeps it a secret, but the seeds are planted to start doubting what he knows about history and the world.
On the way to find the Eastern Air Temple, Zuko starts connecting with his crew, first step is starting medical lessons with the ships medic, Koji. In their first port stop before the EAT, Zuko blows up on the port's commanding officer in defense of his ship's acting captain, Major Hifumi. This solidifies the crew's support of Zuko but oops making enemies in the FN Navy.
At the Eastern Air Temple, Zuko meets Guru Pathik. From him, he learns that Yangchen and Akari were childhood friends, brought together by Akari's spirit dreams. He also learns that Akari died protecting Yangchen, along side Yangchen's earthbending master, Huizhong. This knowledge makes him uncomfortable and he does his best to ignore it, instead focusing on Akari's spirit dreams. He bulldozes his way through his chakra with Pathik in hopes of connecting with the spirits and learning more about his mysterious egg. He can't complete them because his sound chakra is too obstructed by lies. Guru Pathik advises Zuko to discover the truths of the world on his own to eventually unblock his sound chakra.
Zuko decides he's not going to learn any more from the Air Temples and doesn't gun it for the next one. He wanders for a bit, not sure what to do next when he meets Zhao, who gives him a "lead" on the Avatar. The lead, of course, is false, but in the process Zuko is faced with the uncomfortable reality that people of occupied and neutral towns will be distrusting and scared of him if he presents himself as himself. This primes him to be willing to adopt an Earth Kingdom adjacent disguise when Zhao returns to give him another lead for Wan Shi Tong's library.
(He also bonds more with his crew and becomes besties with two of the youngest crew members, Ju Long and Bun Ma. They're from the colonies and open Zuko's eyes to more of the injustices he's been ignorant of.)
In his search for information about the Spirit Library, Zuko creates the identity of Huizhong (aka Hui), a colony-born, aspiring scholar named after Avatar Yangchen's earthbending master who is interested in researching Avatar Yangchen due to his namesake. As Hui, Zuko meets Professor Zei who is more than happy to share his research of Wan Shi Tong's library. Zei also shares his controversial research of ancient civilizations centered around original benders that could bend two elements. One of his theorized animals happens to be a fire/air dragon...
Armed with all he needs to know to search for the Spirit Library, Zuko and Iroh head into Gaoling to hopefully make contact with a sandbender tribe Zei recommended. Zuko meets Toph and they become fast sparring buddies. Toph helps Zuko meet the sandbenders, who were doing business with her father and weren't leaving the Beifong estate. Due to time constraints (and Zuko self-centered recklessness) Zuko strikes a deal by himself with the sandbenders for them to help him search for the library and leaves Iroh behind in Gaoling.
Sarnai and Ghashiun, the sandbender chief's children, are tasked with taking Zuko around on a sand sailer. Sarnai discovers Zuko firebending his egg and promises to keep his bending a secret. In exchange, they tell Zuko a secret about the Si Wong: they aren't just Earth. Once, they were earth and air, and they learned how to bend from giant flying jerboa who bent both elements. But the jerboa have been extinct for so long that they and sandbenders of air are more myth than history.
Ghashiun also learns Zuko is a firebender after he uses his fire to save them from a sand shark. He only agrees to keep it a secret if Zuko and Sarnai accompany him and some of his friends on a raid on a FN caravan. Zuko reluctantly agrees. During the raid, things almost go VERY south, but Zuko, in an act of desperation to help and not expose himself as a firebender, somehow bends the heat out of a firebender's attack.
With the help of Sarnai, he develops a new firebending technique that harnesses the heat of the world around him to bend. It allows him to use a sand sailer by himself, which is fortunate because a Knowledge Seeker appears and he has to leave by himself to follow it.
Finally at Wan Shi Tong's library, Zuko befriends the Knowledge Seekers. He researches the Avatar and comes to the conclusion they're stuck in the spirit world or something. He also researches airbenders and comes to the realization that the Air Army is a lie and the FN was in the wrong. However he's still very conflicted and has deluded himself into thinking that Sozin was tricked somehow, and that the royal family isn't aware of the truth.
While reeling from this discovery, not so giant flying jerboa appear! Wan Shi Tong has been giving them refuge all this time and they enjoy Zuko's heatbending, perhaps why they chose to show themselves to him. Zuko starts doing more research into Yangchen in hopes of learning more about his egg, and eventually is given Yangchen's memoirs by one of the knowledge seekers.
Zuko learns all about Yangchen's life and her friends. In the process, he also learns that his egg is a remnant of a fire/air society, a fire/air dragon called a lóng, and has been waiting to hatch for millennia! Wan Shi Tong cryptically tells Zuko that the lóng will only hatch when freedom has returned to the world...
World view shaken and a new quest on his shoulders, Zuko leaves the spirit library with the jerboa in tow. He leaves them for Sarnai to find and returns to Gaoling. After a quick visit to catch up with Toph, Zuko returns to Iroh and gets a serious lecture. Also learns that Sarnai and Ghashiun lied to their dad that Zuko was an airbender to explain him taking a sand sailer.
Iroh is surprised by Zuko's admiration for Yangchen and hopes this means Zuko has uncovered the truth of the war by himself... but in his probing, he freaks Zuko out. Thinking he'll be branded as a traitor to the FN, Zuko lies that all his research outside of Yangchen was done in the FN wing of the library. So he might admire Yangchen, but the airbenders changed since her time and became the army that threatened the FN in Sozin's time. Iroh backs off... willing to wait for when Zuko is ready to digest the truth.
Zuko wants to go off the spirit gateways and test his theory that the Avatar is lost in the spirit world. Iroh is adamantly against that lol. So Zuko is stuck wandering around for any sort of lead on spirits or the Avatar. To assist his search and identity as Hui, the crew banded together to get him an Earth Kingdom style sailing boat, which Zuko names the Air Lantern after Akari and Yangchen's fire/air bending form.
(Also, Zuko has started writing letters to the girls back in the FN after sending them presents he got while in the desert.)
The anniversary of Zuko's banishment comes around and he has a little bit of a freak out about it. Zhen, the head engineer of the ship, helps him talk through his emotions and in the process learns the truth about the Agni Kai, something that has been a well kept secret from the public despite Zuko thinking otherwise. Zhen has no qualms about spreading this secret now that she knows... Fuck Ozai.
Continue to Year 2&3 in next post :3
#learning to fly#gonna break this up by year lol#anon this is probably way more detailed than you want but LMAO i got started and i dont do anything by halves#gotta make sure all the important plot threads are touched on!!!#a recap of 400k is gonna be big LOL

SINI! I have a thot, that’s also somewhat sad!
Ok I’ve been thinking about the dragon reader ask you had earlier and I thought about something that’s been in my brain since 7am this morning.
What if Zhongli met this female nature eastern dragon (who had antler shaped horns because she symbolizes the wildlife) that he met before the archon war and slowly fell in love after her almost tearing him a new one after invading her sacred pool in the forest. She then fights by his side only to die while taking a shot meant for the geo archon. He held her as she passed, whispering to him “Do not cry my beloved, our lives will always intertwine. I will see you again.” Before giving him one last smile as she took her last breath.
He waited centuries for her soul to reappear, he would scout the entire region just to feel a sliver of her soul. However over the years he never found her, until one day he finally returned where they had first met. To be greeted by a woman who resembled his love from so long ago.
At first he was skeptical, until the woman finally turned and as the light became a halo and a glimpse of antlers ghosted her crest. With a gentle smile she took in a breath before speaking.
“Oh my beloved, how I’ve missed you~”
I apologize if this is erratic, but the adhd is strong rn. I love your writing even the short stories! Much love MWAH~
- Antler Dragon anon!
AAAAAAA omg how cute and bittersweet and lovely!! Waiting thousands of years for his darling to return, never once losing hope, always ready to have his arms open and waiting for her...
And when the fated moment of reunion arrives at the brink of an innocent dawn, she's there to continue her place in the story of his heart, as if the pages hadn't been left blank for millennia.
He remembers everything about her like it was only yesterday they were frolicking in the fields of Dihua, only yesterday they were glazing jade pendants for prosperity...only yesterday she had sacrificed herself for him.
This time, though, wrapped in serenity against the backdrop of a more peaceful Liyue, history would not dare to repeat itself.
(She'll have to get used to calling him Zhongli, because his other names and titles would raise eyebrows in this day and age, but trifling matters am I right?)
Thank you for sharing, it's such a sweet headcanon~ much love to you too!! ♡

Is there anything good (positive achievement) about the Valyrian/ghiscarian empires? I feel GRRM didn't bother giving them nuanced and interesting history beside mass slavery, rape and genocide, esp the ghiscarians they are mash up of the all the racist oriental tropes you can think of
Hi anon, this is a really good question. I think you can look at it two ways.
On the one hand, if we're analyzing the books from a literary perspective, GRRM's portrayal of the entire continent of Essos is pretty Orientalist and doesn't hold up that well. And we can blame this to some extent on GRRM being a white boomer who clearly did not think all that deeply about the stereotypes he was playing into when he created his "exotic" eastern continent. 90s fantasy was rife with this stuff (even my beloved Robin Hobb is not completely immune-- I'm looking at you, Chalcedeans), and at the time Orientalism was, much like critical race theory or decolonization, a grad school level concept, unless you ran in activist circles. You didn't have Tumblr and Twitter and TikTok and Youtube generating Discourse, you had to actively seek out different perspectives. And ex-hippie liberal white boomers often assumed that they already had the right perspectives, that they knew what traps to avoid, and so you'd get 90s SFF authors thinking they were very cleverly subverting these tropes by going, "I know, I'll have an intensely misogynistic culture of desert dwelling nomads who have harems and slaves but I'll make them white." It was pretty bleak. Luckily for all of us, fantasy has come a long way since then.
And yeah, once you see the Orientalism in ASOIAF, you can't unsee it. Lys is basically the fantasy version of the "pleasure planet" trope, the Dothraki are a stereotype of the Mongol armies without any of the many positive contributions the Molgols made, Qarth is like the Coleridge poem come to life with people riding camels with jeweled saddles and wearing tiger skins, with its women baring one breast and it's sophisticated assassin's guild, and Mereen has its pyramids. The entire continent is brimming with spices and jewels and pleasure houses and people saying "Your Magnificence." It is also a place of blood magic and dragons and Red Gods and shadowlands. It is everything exciting and "exotic," juxtaposed against what appears to most readers to be very mundane--septas and pseudocatholicism and maesters in the citadel. So yeah, it's an Orientalist's fantasy world, and the point of all this is not necessarily to cast it as evil per se, but to cast it as "Other" (and to be clear, Orientalism is harmful and GRRM deserves the criticism he gets for leaning into stereotypes). Valyria and the Valyrians are certainly included in that-- they are explicitly Other as foreign born ruling family in Westeros, and they are treated that way both in-world and by the narrative.
The question then becomes, although GRRM's depictions of Essos lean heavily and inelegantly into Orientalist tropes, why did he create these worlds the way he did? Why is Valyria an "Other" and what significance does it have to the story? And I think that some of this is GRRM's shorthand for something magical that is lost and forgotten and fading away, just like Valyria itself is in the memories of the Targaryen family. It is the Xanadu of Coleridge's Kubla Khan, not just the East viewed from the West, but the past viewed from the present, a nostalgic yearning for a place that only ever existed in the imagination. When the narrative does visit these places in person, rather than telling us about them secondhand, they become ugly and brutal, the jeweled facade hiding a rot underneath. In ASOIAF we have Dany ripping that facade off of Meereen and Yunkai, but she idealizes her own Targaryen heritage, and that is not insignificant, and as readers, we are invited to idealize it right along with her, in spite of plenty of hints that perhaps we should not (like the aforementioned slavery). We even hear Astapori and Yunkish slavers speaking to Dany echo sentiments about the even older Ghiscari empire, also lost, "Ours is the blood of ancient Ghis, whose empire was old when Valyria was yet a squalling child." Old Ghis and the Valyrians who conquered them are both long gone at this point, and yet their descendants are clinging to the legacies of cultures that would be wholly foreign to both of them. Because if Valyria is Xanadu, the Old Valyrians and Old Ghiscari are also Ozymandias, the mighty who have fallen, their once grand civilizations nothing but forgotten ruins. The Targaryens don't yet realize that they are that "half-sunk shattered visage," that they are yearning for something that is gone and never returning, something they never really knew in the first place.
Westeros is not immune to this either. I think it's a consistent theme that GRRM plays with is the ways which the past is glorified and distorted and romanticized. Even in a meta-sense, his entire medieval world is, in many ways, a half-remembered medieval fantasy, the medieval world as imagined by people who read Ivanhoe, rather than a medieval world as actually was. And GRRM simultaneously presents this romanticized world alongside the brutality of the past (and to drive that point home, George's medieval world is much more brutal than the real medieval world was), and so he asks us, just like Dany must ask herself at some point, is the past really all that romantic? Or are we simply yearning for something unnamable and Other? And if we yearn for that, why?
On the other hand, from an in-world perspective, if you are Westerosi, are there any redeeming qualities to Valyrian culture? And I think we can answer that question by asking ourselves, is there anything salvageable from the past, even if the past was terrible? Even if what we perceive of Old Valyria wavers between a horrific empire based on conquest and slavery, and an idealized homeland full of magical dragonriders, depending on who is doing the telling, if we accept it as a fully fleshed out world, then I think we can remember no cultures are monoliths. Old Valyria had art, architecture, fashion, music, literature, and I like to imagine that there were good freeholders, perhaps even Valyrian versions of the Roman Stoics and the Cynics, who raised moral objections to slavery. Certainly the Valyrian "freeholder" government itself, a kind of proto-democracy, similar to that of Athens, was innovative for its particular time and place, even if it was not as democratic as our modern democracies are, and that model of government is replicated throughout Essos, where strict hereditary monarchy seems to be relatively uncommon. Valyria also had a great deal of religious freedom, which persists throughout Essos as well. And as with any empire, it's important to keep in mind that the ruling class made up only a small percentage of actual Valyria, and we know there were Valyrians who were not dragonlords but just normal people, going about their lives who had nothing to do with the atrocities committed, and those people were telling stories, creating art, writing songs, and producing culture too. So I think, tying back into how GRRM uses Valyria and Essos in his narrative, we do not have to discard the past entirely, nor do in-world Targaryens, but it's the romanticization that's the problem, and I think that's something that both in-world characters and readers are cautioned against.

If the targaryens did exist in the castlevania universe would they be considered just a myth or legend and not real? or would the Belmonts have books on the family and their dragons and maybe even some petrified dragon eggs in the Belmont hold?
Because I can totally imagine sypha going on a passionate rant about "how the targaryens are a myth and metaphor spread by the church to show how evil and hellish magic is. Because clearly it is humanly impossible to have purple eyes and silver or silver gold hair together , be immune to fire and the ability to hatch, raise and control dragons? There is no evidence of dragons ever existing and those alleged dragon eggs in the hold are very obviously just carved stone, Their house words are fire and blood for gods sake they are very clearly just a story and metaphor if they were truly real the speakers would know about it "
Then the next day targ reader pulls up from the sky with her 3 large dragons daenerys styles to see if the Belmont hold really does have so petrified dragon eggs she can bring back to life and hatch, the dragons belong to her family so if there are any eggs they were clearly stolen by the monster hunters family as trophys(like they could ever kill a dragon 🙄) and to try to find a way back to westros and leave this strange world she and her dragon has found themselves in with the knowledge in the hold
That’s a really good question, Anon!
I think it all depends on how cynical/realistic you want to be in terms of viewing the Castlevania universe and its supernatural/religious properties themselves. Much of the religious/Christian legends in the show are talked down to religion as a joke, just a means of control for the masses meanwhile supernatural elements like angels, devils, and gods are real. (This is classic Warren Ellis so it’s not surprising, but it can be a little reductive.)
[[A good example of this would be the scene with Isaac facing the evil wizard in Season 3. The wizard’s mind control is symbolized by a glowing green crown of thorns which is a reference to the crown of thorns Jesus was forced to don on the cross as he was mocked by the Roman Soldiers as the ‘king of the tribes of Israel’. They wanted to humiliate him as un-kingly, not believing he was the Messiah. It’s just related enough, but it sort of misses the mark. The crown is interpreted oppositely within the Catholic faith (which seems to be what Ellis truly means to reference whenever the ‘church’ monolith is discussed within the show; Christianity was actually much more diverse across Eastern Europe). It’s a symbol of Jesus’ devotion to humanity: he suffered so humans could have eternal life in heaven. However, in the show, this crown is used backwards: Issac’s newfound devotion to humanity and morality is symbolized by him using his forgemaster blade to BREAK the wizard’s crown of thorns, rather than embrace it as a badge of honor. It’s all flip-floppy.]]
So I think, just off the bat, it’s a balancing act: where do we draw the line between human stupidity (i.e. excuses for cruelty based on superstition) and the actual supernatural (i.e. divine powers beyond reason or understanding, not meant to be in the hands of regular human souls)?
In the Belmont Hold, we see what looks to be a dinosaur skeleton hanging from the ceiling:
Now this could mean one of two things.
My guess is, that this was another subtle way to sort of mock or disparage the superstitious beliefs of the masses (while making a in-game reference to The White Dragons). Because, whereas the uneducated simple folk would see the bones and go 'Oh no, monsters!', Belmonts see them and know they’re really just skeletons of ancient animals from before humanity’s time
Alternatively, this is, as you say, a way to clue us in that the Belmonts, being the infamous monster hunters they were, have tracked the myth of dragons, and in doing so battled one successfully, or at the very least, found the remains of one, and collected this fossil as evidence such beasts exist.
I think YOU NAILED this dynamic with Sypha btw. Because she’s a Speaker, she’s kind of the closest thing an in-universe character has to acting with audience-level insight. She’s aware of the stories, but also of the science- and this has enabled her to walk the line between bs myth perpetuated by the church and actual fire-wielding Speaker magic.
So let’s say for the sake of our Targaryen Reader Universe- Dragons are real, BUT they’re understood to be a ‘myth’ by the time Adrian, Trevor, and Sypha come along because they’ve since died out/left this mortal plane.
Trevor insists his family has a record of them existing, and that those petrified “stones” as Sypha calls them are dragon eggs. Sypha doesn’t buy any of this because it just seems overly far-fetched. I mean hell, she’s a Speaker Magician, but do you see her running around with purple eyes and snow-white hair, being totally immune to all fire? No! Just because she can wield it, doesn’t mean it’s not a threat to her. So obviously, these ‘Targaryen people’ must be a metaphor for hubris or flying too close to the sun/God or something.
Sypha reasons it’s similar to the story of The Tower of Babel (in which she argues God created division amongst human language to prevent human cooperation) but in the case of the Targaryen myth, it’s the Church trying to prevent human progress.
So when our Targaryen!Reader does show up with her dragons, all fancy like, I imagine Sypha probably speedruns the five stages of grief lol before coming into acceptance.
It takes a few days, but as she gets to know Reader, Sypha’s disbelief and distrust are replaced by curiosity and kinship. Sypha is fascinated by Reader’s abilities and unique features- she wants to see everything in action for herself. Cue Reader constantly pranking people as she shows off her fire-resistant ability 🤣

In all the pearl clutching about the paris olympics, someone posted this screenshot as a way to sum up for their feelings for the art in the opening ceremony or whatever and well, I love the artistic implications of this. The person who posted it probably doesn't get this but like...
...
I don't think the Crude Statue of a Guy Sucking Himself Off was placed next to Anon's Dragon by *accident*
I doubt his bizarre contempt for everyone else was hidden, and I imagine the placement is the artistic equivalent of *dismissive jerking off motions* in response to his attitude. Anon got PLAYED.

I fucking hated everyone in my department. To this day, symbolism as a concept pisses me the fuck off. No, your badly painted vagina does not symbolize the plight of middle eastern dirt farmers. Just shut the fuck up. It represents a fucking vagina. That's it. And not even well.
Pic related. I spent days in the sculpture hall, hand carving a whole fucking tree into a goddamn dragon. Every fucking scale chiseled by hand. (I ran out of time, thus the unfinished tail)
Come the senior "exit gallery" what is my painstaking labor displayed next to? A crude sculpture of a guy sucking himself off.
Fuck artists, every single one of em. When someone calls me an artist I get offended. That's the equivalent of being called a drooling (r slur)

Your fanfic pushed me to set up a trip to Prague. I'm going soon, and I'm really excited.
Hey anon! Honestly this blew my mind when I found your message in my inbox last night because I didn't expect someone to actually get so interested in travelling to Prague from just reading Sing to Me but omg I hope you're having tons of fun there!
I sat down and made you a list on google maps for all the locations mentioned in Chapter 5 and 6 together with notes where what exactly happened + some locations from the Eastern Europe Chapter of MGS4, in case you want to check these places out yourself.
I do recommend walking or taking public transport instead of a taxi or car to explore the city, Prague is extremely walkable and all these locations are within walking distance from each other. Yes, I walked to all of them when I first went back in 2021, but for someone who isn't used to walking much it might be a little more. Luckily I was in Prague as well back in March this year together with @cyborgdumptruck and took tons of photos and videos for the revisions of those chapters that I still got on my to do list and I thought I could share some with you :]
From left to right:
Náměstí Míru Metro station (Line A)
Bazilika sv. Ludmily at Náměstí Míru (Peace Square) that Sam wanted to take a photo of but Raiden didn't let him, saying that they weren't in Prague for sightseeing
Arkada Hotel, the hotel that they were staying at which is just a few hundred meters walking distance away from the square
I didn't mention the exact location of the restaurant that Sam ordered himself some dinner while Raiden just waited impatiently for him to finish eating, but I imagined it being somewhere near Staroměstské náměstí (Old Town Square) where you can also find the famous Pražský orloj (Astronomical Clock). The restaurant in that scene I made up because honestly the area is a very popular tourist spot and therefore the prices are ridiculous compared to other places in Prague where you could get something to eat. This is also why I wrote in the current version of Chapter 5 that it's a less busy street near the square and not directly at it, but it's also a point that I have on my revision list of things that will be changed about the chapter. They definitely walked through this place though, and Raiden gets annoyed at Sam wanting to take photos of the area since it's overall a nice spot with beautiful old buildings that even have hand painted walls.
Popular tourist spot aside, it's absolutely possible to get good photos and videos of the clock and the area overall and we were there during warm weather on a sunny day around Easter, so it was quite packed with people already.
Karlův most (Charles Bridge) with Pražský hrad (Prague Castle) in the background. Raiden took Sam across this bridge to show him around the Malá Strana (Lesser Town) district, but then started to heavily dissociate on their way there and began 'acting strange' in Sam's eyes.
This is, by the way, also close to the location where Liquid Ocelot massacred all the joint army-marines unit trying to stop him at the end of the Eastern Europe Chapter in MGS4, and also where EVA (Big Mama) died.
Maybe you'll get an idea now why Raiden might have dissociated so heavily when they crossed the bridge, although he wasn't present at those events... it's not because of those, but they're connected (¬‿¬)
This is Kellyxír! (Maps Link) The bar that Raiden dragged Sam into, and then got shitfaced right in front of him. I also took Sam's diary with me that I got last year to take a photo for the @mgsr-sing-to-me blog that ended up becoming a GIF instead (I love the Live Photo function of iPhones ngl). I had also ordered the same drink that Raiden had, The Breath of Uroboros, the Dragon (costs 333 Kč which would be around 14 USD). Sadly I had to crop the video because I am not comfortable sharing my face on Tumblr for now.
I have to say that in the revision of Chapter 5, I'll try to make that scene a little more elegant than it currently is.
On their way back to the hotel, Raiden nearly pukes on Sam from having absolutely overdone it with alcohol at the bar. I imagined this happening when they just reached Malostranské náměstí where they could take a tram back to Náměstí Míru to get back to the hotel.
Fun fact, when I was checking the locations that I mentioned in my fic, we coincidentally found the church in which Solid Snake (Old Snake) met EVA (Big Mama) in MGS4 and it's literally around the corner to Malostranské náměstí. And yes I am pretty sure that it was that exact church given the photos on Maps showing the insides of it. Unfortunately we didn't manage to go inside due to it only being open for visitors for an hour per day.
This is a really funny coincidence if you ask me, I was in tears when I noticed it 😂
The agreed rendezvous point with their client Tomáš Růžička in Chapter 6 is the Bazilika svatého Petra a Pavla located inside the Vyšehrad fortress. Getting up there takes a little while, especially when you're getting there from the Vyšehrad Metro Station (Line C), you'll be walking at least 20 minutes when you aren't familiar with the area 😅 But it is a really nice walk! Also there is a beer garden (Na Hrádbach) at the fortress where you can get something to eat and drink without paying tons of money. Just please take cash in CZK with you just in case, I am very unsure if they let you pay with card.
Lastly, here are some photos of Magistrát hlavního města Prahy (Prague City Hall). Sadly the building had construction work done when we went back in March, so those aren't the prettiest pictures. I will change the scene in revision of Chapter 6 where they get here because I am not really happy with it ಠ╭╮ಠ Getting to the place though helped a lot with making decisions for what exactly will be changed.
Anyway, hope you're having tons of fun in Prague and thank you so much for letting me know that you're reading my fic and got inspired to travelling there because of it. It really made my day :3

This originally was for PoR and Radiant Dawn. That Aquatic Laguz anon had my mind running a mile a minute for a solid few days. So one of the Dragon Laguz, specifically the Blue Tribe's leader, didn't appreciate Ashunera flooding the world she created. He dumped into the rising sea in a desperate attempt to save the Laguz and Beorc drowning. I came up with a description, that huh, might be counted as body horror?
"As the great dragon flew through the waters, he embraced each life that still drew breath. Wrapping his body around the survivors, he paid not to the screaming currents that cut his scales. He stood fast as falling debris shredded his wings, instead grateful the fragile mortals were kept safe under his shadow. Roiling waves turned crimson as the Goddess's Wrath fractured the world, drowning great nations and bearing down on the waters."
He lost his wings, and most of his scales, essentially turning into an eastern style dragon. The blood loss caused him to hibernate for a century, and ended up giving anything that was exposed to it the ability to survive in the ocean. When he woke up, he found a budded civilization and quickly realized he accidentally created a few new races. The Laguz had turned into more sea faring races: Whales, sharks, squids, basically all the larger aquatic species. They mostly lived in the deeper parts of the ocean, while the Beorc gained webbed hands and feet, gills, and some scales on their back. They lived in the shallower waters, where they could tell night from day. Neither really knew the other existed because of this. And were somewhat struggling because of their limited habitat.
So what does this extremely sympathetic and protective dragon do? Raise them of course! He establishes himself as ruler, and starts trying to integrate the two races. That proves difficult... Tensions are high, trade deals are taking forever, and he really wishes Ashunera was here to help. Very conveniently, the "Branded" starts being born around this time. Blue Dragon Dad realizes they can safely exist in both the dark trenches and the lighter corals. If his faith was wavering, it sure isn't now. Dragon Dad thinks this is Ashunera's apology, basically "Sorry I flooded the world, here's someone who can thrive in it." The Branded of the sea aren't called Branded, they're called something else, but I haven't come up with a name yet. Help.
So while the Beorc and Laguz of the surface are tearing each other apart, the ones in the sea are just chilling. Now, the whole "Laguz losing their powers" does cause some issues and tensions. Leading to some abandoning their kids despite Dragon Dad saying to welcome them. Thankfully, Whales are very intelligent and empathetic beings who will gladly adopt the tiny baby left in the open sea. The Hierarchy of the sea looks like this: Dragons, Whales, Beorc, Sharks, "Branded", and then everything else.
Dragon Dad moved his power to a pearl(aka Dragon Stone), so he can mingle with his followers kids better, and hand that power to his descendants if necessary. He can control the currents, which are important in connecting the various kingdoms. Grow coral reefs, restore old ruins, control most types of magic, and teach everyone about the (outdated) history of the world.
Whales are similar to Herons, only because they have power similar to Galdr. Whale Songs control the waves, restore coral, ward off harm, can communicate across nations, and can function similarly to Galdr, just deeper. Because of their duties, using their songs to help balance the ocean, escorting people between the lighter and darker waters, taking care of orphaned kids, regardless of race, and healing any damage that still lingers from Ashunera, they rank second. Despite the fact they strictly adhere to pacifist ways.(Unless you threaten their kids.)
"Branded" are basically mermaids. Their tails are completely random, regardless of which Laguz variant they descend from. Oh, and they can go on land if you combine Whale Songs with Dragon Dad's magic. But that doesn't happen very often. They connect the upper and lower parts of the seas, delivering different resources when needed, carrying messages, and just making sure everything runs smoothly. They're decently strong, but are relatively rare, and often need guidance on how to use any abilities inherited by their parents.
Aquatic Laguz anon, have fun with this.
These guys are also in the seas of our world because the DM really liked the idea. So thank you!

Not an ask for any of the dragons, but are you planning on adding any other Sanses like the Star Sanses? I just think it'd be so cool to see what dragons you make them into! /nf
Also, your art is amazing, and I wish I could eat it--
HAVE A COOKIE BECAUSE YES. 🍪
-Snuff Anon
I Do plan on adding more dragons if i ever get to that point and chances are it would be the Star sanses. It isn't set in stone yet tho so the best i could give you is a very good chance. when or if i do dragonify the stars these are the types of dragons i would likely turn them into Dream: probably a type of eastern/long dragon like Nightmare is. Ink: I was thinking an amphithere or quezalcoatl looking dragon. something snakelike with colorful feathers and a pair of wings. Blue: european dragon, i thought it was a fun connection since Blue gives me Knight vibes and all the stories with knights slaying dragons. Ive also concidered somehow dragging error into all this and makeing him sort of a wyvern. thx for the cookie :) <3

Bunny Anon, That’s a wonderful piece of artwork right there (made my whole day with that)
I hope Gamigan is ready for us dragon lovers to come swarm him, speaking of dragons
I wonder if he’ll have an actual dragon form, and if so, what kind? Wyvern? Wyrm? Eastern or Western Style? So many different choices
Oooooooo maybe they’ll throw us off and give him a demonic dragon form (I just gave myself an art idea for that)
🦩
You heard them, 🐰! Your dicks are a masterpiece and a godsend to all the monsterfuckers out there. We have been fed and our crops are watered.
As for if he has an actual dragon form... I hope so. Satan and Ppyong get a big monster form, so why not the actual dragon? He'll probably be Eastern style, given his fashion choices being very heavily influenced that way? POINT IS THAT WE DESERVE A DRAGON FORM FOR THE DRAGON MAN!

Hello, it’s the dragon anon from that little rant post from awhile back and I just saw that you said you wanted more info
Regarding my last comment, I was super upset and not really in the right mindset to talk. What I was trying to go on about for “the fandoms” changing the image of a dragon, was mainly about the furry fandom having a very bland idea of ‘dragon’ and since the furry fandom and the otherkin community are so intertwined, they can rub off on each other
All the dragon fursonas I’ve seen are under two archetypes. 1 being a western dragon, and 2 being an eastern dragon. That’s it…
Lots of fandoms (not just furry, I just used that one as an example) see them as “a big flying reptile” and they don’t care to explore what different kinds of dragons means. I’m not saying if you are a dragon that is in any way similar to how most people view them then you are “faking it” I’m just saying that a lot of how the media portrays any mythical creature can affect how we nonhumans view them, and it could most definitely throw us off
Ahhh, yeah, that makes more sense. I can definitely agree with that. (I thought I wasn't getting a good picture of what you actually meant. Thank you for clarifying!)

Hi, so i was thinking for awhile might switch this to a more closed off account from the rest! If i do so could i make a small request? I never fully got the idea down of what I could've looked like i know it was
eastern dragon but more cat like and VERY big claw paws, bigger ears (Not to long but also really fluffy around the base) and a tail that has fur at the beginning goes skinny and puffs out at the end like an eastern dragon.. patterns like a snow leopard pattern mixed with a fox But on the green scale of colors?? (paw claws) that go up to the knees these are mostly from dreams, and i know it was in space since it was usually connected- i also think it had dark green bug antenna, it was some space- dragon, cat thing hybrid alien?? I dont remember much.. but yeah thats what i know from my dreams!!
(DON'T HAVE TO DO!! AT ALL!! THIS IS ALL /POS!)
hey there anon! I RACED to fulfil this request because this was one of the most unique and awesome descriptions of a dragon kintype I have ever heard, and I haven’t met another space dragon yet!! I tried my best to follow all your requests but I may have misinterpreted (and i’m not sure what you meant by the paw claws that go up to the knees, sorry!) so i apologise if not everything is accurate! I also had to take some creative liberties on stuff like the eyes that were not specified, but i can change the colour of anything incredibly easily so feel free to message me for a correction!
I really hope you like it! 🐾❣️
