Every Saga has that One Song
The one that you listen to more than the others. The one that you played on repeat when you heard it for the first time. What were those songs for you? These are mine:

I've got a theory about the wisdom saga that I haven't really seen anyone else talking about.
(please keep in mind that I studied biology and not literature)
I've seen everyone talking about what happens to Athena at the end of God Games, wondering how hurt she is or if she died. I know the pop culture image of Zeus, that he is a hot head narcissist who cannot see past his own pride and would absolutely attack his favorite child for winning a game. However, I recently read the Iliad and the Odyssey and the vibe I got was more like a Good Omens style "ineffable plan" type personality. He had a plan for everything even if nobody else totally knew what it was.
He would get mad at the other gods who tried to trick him, like Hera distracting him so Poseidon can help the Greeks in the Iliad, but he was never quite so unreasonable as he is in God Games.
I think he lied to Athena about what the game is. He says, "But if he's worth the risk of going under, why not make it a game" and then set up a game in which Athena risks nothing. He told her to prove that Odysseus was worth her losing everything, but she has nothing to lose if she cannot convince the other gods. The only thing at stake is Odysseus' freedom.
I think he knew that she would be able to convince the other gods easily (and she did) and the real test would come when she reached him. When he started getting mad Athena could either back down, beg for forgiveness and admit defeat or risk everything and continue begging for Odysseus' freedom.
I think the reason the song ends when it does is because that is when she really won Zeus' game. By continuing to beg for Odysseus after being attacked, she proved that she really felt so strongly about this that she was willing to lose everything to help win him his freedom.

Epic!Athena (post-Telemachus) would be seriously disappointed in the way PJO!Athena treated Annabeth imo

Scrapped Warrior of the Mind reprise:
Telemachus: Sounds like I’ve won! Mother and son, this will be fun!
Athena: Oh my gods, what have I done.

"you're a good kid" he's a kid telemachus is a kid
yes odysseus was a "boy", but the implication was always that he was going to be a warrior of the mind, a general, a child king, a leader
telemachus is not a tactician-- he does not fight because it is the only logical outcome, he does not fight because he knows he'll win, he does not fight because he needs to or because antinuous overtly threatens him, not at first. he fights to defend his mother. more than anything else, he fights for someone he cares about.

We’re afraid others will see our flaws, weaknesses and insecurities. We’re afraid if others really knew us, they would reject us. We feel like fakes and frauds in a world that seems to have it all together.
