here are the two leaders of a possible warrior cats story of mine, eaglestar of blue-eagle clan, and tanagerstar of red-bromelia clan!
lots of political tension between these two, with eaglestar being more cocky and impulsive (and more willing to just sling insults when she can), and tanagerstar being a lot more introspective and cautious (although still being quite vicious when they so desire). They don’t necessarily hate each other, more what the other represents due to the differences in how their clans operate - constantly bringing them to the brink of war.
also this story takes place in the araucária moist forest!

Haven't been catting it out as much as I've liked, so as compensation here's all four leaders + some lore about the clans: Thunderclan
Tumblr media
Born a kittypet named Christian, Eaglestar initially joined Thunderclan after being cast out onto the streets by his twolegs and the leader taking pity on him. However, Eaglestar proved to be incredibly cunning, working his way up the ranks and using his connections to eventually take the reins of the clan altogether. With this newfound power, Eaglestar naturally abuses it for all its' worth through using it to solve petty disputes and get out of hunting for the day. He has deep-rooted beef with the Shadowclan leader who he's been rivals with since apprenticeship, constantly taking any opportunity he can to one-up or antagonize her.
Riverclan
Tumblr media
The youngest of the four leaders at just 23 moons, Reedstar was far from the first pick for leader in the eyes of his clan. After a flood destroyed most of their camp and took the lives of both their leader and deputy in one fell swoop, the clan waited with bated breath for the medicine cat to announce the decision of their new leader. To every cat's surprise however, the medicine cat chose to appoint the easygoing Reeddance of all people, much to the shock and outrage of most of the clan who saw him as unfit. Reedstar tries his best to meet the needs of these agitated cats, but his inexperience just leads most of his efforts to be used as more fuel for the hate mob as rumors of a possible civil war in Riverclan began to spread around like wildfire. Shadowclan
Tumblr media
Azaleastar took up the mantle of leader many moons ago after the former deputy was mysteriously found dead in their nest, and she just so happened to be the next best cat to take on the new position. Being one of the best ambush-fighters in her clan, Azaleastar had always had a knack for spotting points of weakness she could exploit... and what better opportunity was there than a broken, divided clan with a hare-brained idiot for a leader? After the flood, she's been picking at Riverclan bit by bit, giddily exploiting their lack of unison for free territory with the intention of taking over their entire hunting grounds and putting her name in the history books. The only thing keeping her from invasion is the threat of Thunderclan, who've been making advances on her territory while they're busy with Riverclan. Windclan
Tumblr media
Not wanting to engage with the other three clans, Mangrovestar keeps Windclan in a strict state of isolation. He doesn't care to involve himself in the conflict between Riverclan and Shadowclan, instead just wanting to maintain the prosperity that's reigned in his clan for these past few moons. Of the four leaders currently active, he's easily the most popular amongst his clan for his amicable nature and appearing (mostly) morally good in comparison. However, Mangrovestar tends to be very biased and easily swayed in regard to his judgement which can rub cats the wrong way whenever they're forced to clean the elders' den for a moon while his favorites get little more than a slap on the wrist.

🕸 Laureldapple?
OKAY I FINALLY GOT THIS ONE sorry is a little messy! Laureldapple is from neighboring Valleyclan, but left really early almost as soon as her apprenticeship started. She hasn’t really seen her family since, and doesn’t think they’d really want to see her either. She’s also honor sired, her actual parents are her moms Swift and Parsley, but Eaglestar wanted to continue the Falling-line and organized the whole affair for Bearjaw to be the sire.
Tumblr media
Fallingstar was one of the first leaders of the clan, and integral to a lot of their lore surrounding Starclan and internal clan politics. It’s a heavy basket to carry, having to hold up their lineage.

Finally finished drawing Wildflower, my main bitch Warrior Cats oc of the series I’m working on that has its own clans, characters and framework divorced from the actual series. She’s not actually a Clangen oc, I just used that format for her descriptors for brevity’s sake and for fun. She actually sprung from my forehead like Athena and I very loosely based her design on a stock photo of a cat that I got off of Pinterest, as God intended.
Wildkit was born to mother Rosethorn and father Timberstar alongside a sister, Mousekit. They were the pair’s second litter after two other mollies; a well-respected young warrior named Dappleshade, and the disgraced Shimmersand, who already walked with Starclan by the time her younger sisters were born. Timberstar had a long-standing rivalry with his half brother Shrikethorn, and the clan’s deputy had kits in the nursery at the same time as Wildkit and Mousekit were born, so shortly after their birth Shrikethorn launched a coup against his brother using the kits as leverage. When a furious Timberstar lunged at his brother instead of immediately ceding leadership of the clan to him, Rosethorn was the one to knock him aside, terrified that his resistance would mean the death of her two kits. The deputy ran to protect his own mate and kits instead of aiding his leader, and Shrikethorn and his small band of followers tore Timberstar apart, ripping away all of his nine lives at once. Rosethorn became unmoored, rarely leaving her nest and too consumed with guilt and reckless, mutinous fury to care for her two kits, so Dappleshade acted as Wildkit and Mousekit’s primary caretaker, even as she and her mate, Eaglesight, began drawing up plans to overthrow their tyrannical leader. Dappleshade had been Shrikestar’s apprentice and had suffered under his mentorship due to his hatred of her father, so when the time came for Wildkit and Mousekit to be apprenticed, she agreed to help Shrikestar abduct kits from a band of traveling rogues if he would let her choose their mentors. Dappleshade mentored Wildpaw herself, and assigned Mousepaw to the molly Rabbitear, as both of them were hard of hearing due to past infections. While out on patrol one day, Dappleshade noticed that her and Wildpaw were being followed by one of Shrikestar’s lackeys, who she guessed meant to do away with them and pin it on a fox or a rogue attack. The two managed to turn the tables on their attacker, and Dappleshade stayed behind to finish him off, telling Wildpaw to go find Eaglesight so the retaliatory coup could begin. During the battle, Dappleshade launches herself at Shrikestar, sending them both tumbling off a precipice and into the raging river below. Unfortunately, Shrikestar is the only one to resurface, and Wildpaw has to be held back from attacking him in her grief. Despite this, and thanks to Eaglesight’s ingenuity, Shrikestar and his followers are driven from the clan, but Wildpaw sneaks out of camp to try and track them down, intent on taking revenge for her sister. Seeing as she is only a new apprentice, Shrikestar makes short work of her, disfiguring her and leaving her for dead as a message to his former clan. The clan’s only medicine cat, Cricketsong, is only two moons older than Wildpaw, with her own mentor having been murdered by Shrikestar after openly defying him, but she does manage to save Wildpaw’s life with some help from the elders of the clan. Eaglesight becomes Eaglestar and appoints Rabbitear as deputy, a controversial choice as she was not clanborn, which some cats view as an indicator of disloyalty backed up by the last deputy’s failure to defend his leader. Wildpaw and Cricketsong bond over their shared losses and insecurities about their respective places in the clan, growing close enough to incite murmurs of disapproval from some other members of the clan, who fret over the rule about medicine cats not being allowed to take a mate. Wildpaw is further devastated by Mousepaw’s reaction to her injury; instead of supporting her through her recovery, Mousepaw determinedly avoids her sister, furious with her for risking her life and putting her and their mother through more grief so soon after Dappleshade’s death.
That’s everything concrete that I have so far, though every character mentioned has their own deal going on and I already know how Wildflower’s story eventually plays out. Hopefully this gets some engagement and people will be curious to learn more; I’m still hammering out the details, like a separate warrior code for each clan that will probably have some determination on their clan name.
