Not really comfortable exploring his part of his charater since its a bit too close to home for me but it's common for patiants with brain cancer to become violent and agressive depending where their turmor is and what it's hiting/ the way your brain is physically reacting to it's changes.

In the comics, there's lots of reference to domestic abuse from Wade and sometimes towards him in return and this is not a "Logan should have to deal with Wades overly agressive behavior" but I can see how utterly terrifying this would have been for his non regenerative partners.

Wade's LITERAL brain chemistry is changing and fluctuating all the time so it wouldn't be uncommon for him to come home and suddenly be acting very weird for him. That's the thing though. Everyone knows that Deadpool is unpredictable, its one of his largest charater traits. He's so unpredictable that even Task Master wants nothing to do with him.

Though I think about this being an easy fix for Logan, where else it might not be. Sure, before he figures it out he definitely would be pissed and confused, maybe even emotionally hurt.

Yeah they fight, yeah wade hit him a lot during those fights but it wasn't really the same. It's like those fights were unwrittenly consensual but hes been angry for no reason all week, cursing up a storm. The things Wade said never usually were this hurtful. But it was starting to get to him. His last straw is when he has the audiacity to kick puppins out of the way.

A 'There is NO way that's Wade' moment before stabbing him in the head.

Theres a fuss, some wrestling, but ultimately this fixes the problem. No you idiots not because he beats wade into submission Tch you could never actually do that. One of his second biggest traits is resiliency. He was literally deprived of air for al.ost 3 days straight and still managed to beat the fuck out of people, had his chest put a huge hole through, and then proceeded to run off. There is no "breaking him like a horse" or even a dog. His spirit is far to strong and he hates himself so much that nothing you say will truely hurt him, only hurt his trust in you cause he trusts you not to say those things but have been thinking the same thing about himslef for years.

It's when Logan finally hits the tumor (and or digs it out) when Wade's brain tissue regenerates and therefore removes the presssure/chemicals causing the problem. Wade also has a ton of memory issues because of stuff like this and honestly I can see him not even remembering that he did all thess things so when Logan tells him he was being an ass to him, how he called him a useless good for nothing, how he hit him when they weren't even play fighting, how he kicked puppins(?!)

He would be extremely over apologetic and probably cry because he himself knows what its like plus he can't control it and knows this will not be the last time.

Wade is toxic. He is extremely abusive in the eyes of healthy normal non regenerative non mutant relationships. And theres nothing he can do about it.

Yeah, Wade gets bitches. But keeping them is harder then making Al stop doing coke. It's never going to happen. Unless somehow someway someone removes his cancer without him dying, he will forever be like this. Ofc he dosn't want to be. It's why Vanessa probably left him. DV is hard enough but "Sorry I punched you in the face I had a huge tumor in my brain" is one of the very very very very very VERY few excuses for it. Because he CAN'T change though and often falls into manic depressive episodes as well, It's too much for a human.

It's impossible to handle if you don't have the correct tools.

Fortunately for Logan, He has 6. And won't let Wade get too out of hand. I can actually see him beating the fuck out of him the second he even tries to swing at him, sit up from all the blood on his face and hands, tumor between his teeth or something. "Better?"

It takes a few seconds for him to kick back, but it's one of those things where it can't be helped without ripping your boyfriends skull open.

"Better... I'm sorry, Logan.."

"You better be. I had a black eye for about 3 seconds, and I was really pissed about that."

"I bet you looked hot tho.."

"Shut up. You're introuble. Now clean up your brain juice before Al slips and dies."

Later that night, Wade tries to cuddle with Logan as an apology, curling into his back and snaking an arm over his waist.

A growl comes from Logan but he dosn't do anything about it. As mad as he is, he knows Wade cant help it and Wade was never angry at him when he blacks out and attacks him so why should he stay angry at him?

Honestly, he's more pissed about the name calling because it kinda hurt his trust with him. It hurts far more coming from his mouth than his own.

hibiscia!!! Sorry if youve explained before but is there something specific about reset-remember fics that you hate? I don't really like them either but for me it's just because I feel like a lot of authors type sans in very ooc ways

They're completely antithetical to Sans' character arc for the sake of cheap and easy angst. The nature of his brand of cosmic horror isn't in reliving his life again and again, that's Flowey's. Sans knows OF the anomaly, knows that it's manipulating time and knows it's a threat to the entire universe, but he doesn't know how or why, because he doesn't remember.

And that's crucial! him being mostly in the dark in spite of the MANY warning signs about us... because it's in that doubt that he remains hopeful. YES we could potentially end the world... but what if we don't? yes we have unimaginable power over everyone else and we can bring back time, but what if we're just.... sad? he needs that gap in his knowledge so he can take a leap of faith across it, it's his entire character arc in the pacifist run. sans THINKS he's given up, he wants to have given up, he chose to do it because there's a comfort in that. in contenting yourself with good food and bad laughs. there's peace. but he hasn't given up, not really. on himself? maybe. but not in us.

there's no way to have that arc if he remembers resets.

hellooo. i try to keep my blog free from this kind of discussion for a multitude of reasons, but i am quickly finding myself unable to hold my tongue and recently, this has become impossible to ignore.

i am fully aware as a writer that i will unavoidably create characters, situations, and plots that not every reader will agree with or like all of the time. i love this part of it! i love to hear what you think, who you're vibing with, what you hope or even fear might happen. so long as we're respectful about it, open conversation (kindness and constructive criticism!) is one of my favorite parts of reading and writing.

but, please, let me make one thing very, very clear:

if your reaction to a decision that any of my characters make, is to comment telling me that you want to physically assault them over it - remove yourself from my blog. exit the fic, unfollow me, block me if you think it'll stop you from commenting something so repulsive and downright triggering.

i've deleted i think seven comments so far across both tumblr and ao3 which, at best, were plain rude, and at worst, were pretty fucking triggering to read. these comments were all, incidentally, directed at only the women in the fics. zero of my male characters have ever been attacked with such vitriol and hostility. i'm not cool with that. do not come on my blog with that attitude.

i have no problem with anyone disagreeing with something in my fic, but please remember that things like physical violence are not jokes, they're not quirky reactions to silly twists in stories, and they're not fucking welcome on my blog.

today's menu, once again: regarding the logistics of hxh duos relationships

so. ging and pariston. paying a little bit of attention to how they interact, we bump into what can be seen as a contradiction, namely their closeness (or lack thereof)

regard:

pariston about ging

his internal monologue seems to imply he is learning/confirming (note the 'do' in 'we do think alike) something for the first time. this isn't the sort of thing you'd expect someone to figure out after having spent a great deal of time together. it sounds a lot like pariston is finding this out as the reader is too, which is peculiar. perhaps the zodiac meetings weren't great for getting to know ging (especially if he's usually absent)

on the other hand, however, ging about pariston...

complicated. note, this translation is unfortunate in that it leaves out a crucial detail (which is that ging is actually referring to pariston as the shortened 'paris') that just furthers this sort of contrasting view they have of their relationship; ging calls him by a nickname, pariston politely and perhaps professionally goes with the distant 'ging-san'. going back to the screenshot, however... this is interesting. if it were just that they were coworkers like any other zodiacs, calling it a complicated history seems a bit much. so what gives?

the type of scenario i can picture is one in which they know of each other a lot longer than they have actually interacted (like a summer friendship, across many years but only ever meet occasionally) which is fascinating. was communication done through netero (who might've enjoyed the idea of these two butting heads -> actually the 'we do think alike' might very likely be a confirmation of something netero himself told pariston), building an image of the other up in their minds. were they constantly throwing a wrench in the others plans without direct contact? potentially, ging and pariston both seem to agree the latter really wanted ging's attention for ages, so was the fact ging is so distant a factor in fueling pariston's strange focus on him? much to ponder.

final sidenote: there might also be a difference in how confident they are of having understood the other. pariston seems to strongly believe in ging's qualities and skills (duh), but be more cautious about making judgements about the man himself too early, meanwhile ging, while having a good grasp on paristons modus operandi...

...might be a bit overconfident...

(also hehe note the smug-fruity pose in ging's mental image of pariston. definitely much to ponder)

EXCERPT, Chapter 6:

Louis leans in then, his tone callous, and says, “Well, maybe your feelings don’t matter as much as you think.” Harry trembles, suddenly feeling nauseous. How often had he felt that way because people constantly dismissed him? His concerns were always brushed off, sometimes with dire consequences…Voldemort, Draco, Snape, Finley…it’s all rushing back to him now. It’s as if he’s reliving the same frustrating experiences, only this time, it was in a sterile, suffocating room filled with strangers. The anger, the sense of betrayal, the helplessness—all hits him at once. “Fuck you,” Harry hisses, a cold anger threatening to settle in the centre of his chest. “It’s clear you don’t care about what I think, but guess what? We would all be fucking dead had I not acted out on my paranoia! So you listen to me, Louis. You have no idea what it’s like to be in my bloody shoes, constantly being doubted and called crazy! I’ve saved lives because I trusted my instincts. And I’m sick of people like you belittling me—!” “Freeze!” Sarah nearly shouts, startling Harry. She steps forward. “Okay, let’s take a breather; try to diffuse that surge of anger. Count to four while you inhale, hold your breath for four counts, then exhale for four counts, repeat. Both of you.” Harry shifts his weight from one foot to the other, closing his eyes as he tries to focus on breathing. He goes through a few rounds before the sharp edge of his anger begins to dull. He opens his eyes, noticing Louis' expression seems softer. Sarah nods. “Excellent. Unfreeze!”

Mary Bell Radiation Authority: Testing Incident Report #1251:

While running tests on Patient #2314 "Euphemine 'E' Aikido", our scientists observed that their wings were an entirely different tissue from their body. Further testing was ordered to simulate what they could and could not handle. This upset Patient #2314, but we continued on the account of #2314 being difficult in the initial testing. Our scientists simulated what amount of mass they could carry, if they could fly, and the wingspan of their wings (among other things detailed in their file). We concluded that because their wings were a different tissue from the rest of the patient's body, they would need to be removed. Head of the MBRA Medical Department [REDACTED] authorized use of a new medication that was in the process of testing for incidents such as these. Patient #2314 was given this medication, which they hesitantly accepted and consumed. The medication took approximately five minutes and thirty-two seconds (5:32) before effects were shown. The subject began showing signs of weakness and considerable pain, as well as their back becoming inflamed. #2314 fell to the ground in excruciating pain approximately seven minutes (7:00) after the medication was consumed. Our scientists initially concluded that there was a mistake made on their part as the medication was only supposed to numb their dorsal (back) area. Shortly after, the medical staff administered #2314 an injection of numbing agent (barbiturate) we had on hand, causing them to be numb to the procedure. #2314 fell unconscious after approximately forty-five seconds (00:45). Whilst the subject was unconscious, our medical staff amputated their wings which were kept for further testing and wrapped their dorsal area to avoid extensive blood less.

#2314 is currently unresponsive and being contained in a holding chamber and being monitored for any adverse effects of the medication, as well as how their body is reacting their wings, or lack thereof. Further information will be provided when the subject is responsive.
