A one-off character from Issue 18 of the IDW DT comics who definitely  couldn't have been a hint-giving stand-in for another character who has shared traits with her! 😊 And it's not like you should totally read that story and others from the series to see if there are any interesting parallels to a ssignificant event or certain story beats that match up the show! 😁

Ducktales Pt.3

What began as a quick diversion from writing about selling reissues to Americans has become a relatively long discourse on the UK government's 'small boats' narrative, hey but I'm enjoying it

I've not clarified the point I wanted to make about narrative yet, that is, narratives don't do well under scrutiny. There's no limit to the amount of stories you can tell about something and they have a tendency to contradict each other. The legitimacy of your whole argument is open to being trashed if a part of your narrative is proven to be a lie. But as we're about to see this can also be engineered to your advantage, it's a risk politicians are increasingly willing to take

This is where politicking has been cosying up to conspiracy theorists

On the 8th March 2023 the daily mail publishes an article written by Home Secretary Suella Braverman that puts in black and white "likely billions" of people are eager to come to the UK. It's difficult not to laugh at this. 'Billions' implies at least 2 billion, that's a quarter of the planets population Ms Braverman is saying are "eager" to come to the UK. That this is ridiculous doesn't matter, it would have been checked before publication, it was intentional. So why make yourself look so stupid? What Braverman wanted was for us to take two things for this article, 'a very big number', and 'coming to the UK.' The article received a 'backlash' from across the media spectrum (with right-wing papers reporting focusing on the 'backlash' itself,) the backlash was expected, 'a very big number' and 'coming to the UK' were talked about in every 'backlash' piece in the newscylcle for the following days. The original article has been changed to "tens of thousands" that's a reduction to 0.001% of the original claim. Remember the fuss over Diane Abbot getting some figures slightly wrong? well 'billions' was off one hundred thousand times. Even replaced with a more believable figure it still looks like a big number (still not as big as the difference between the two figures, not even close). This wasn't the first time Suella Braverman had flirted with faked figures, the day before (7th March 2023) she told parliament “There are 100 million people around the world who could qualify for protection under our current laws. Let us be clear - they are coming here.” This is also entirely misleading https://fullfact.org/immigration/suella-braverman-100-million-claim/

Loaded language is popular with all tory MPs, it's as if they've been on a training course. Braverman stands out though, perfectly legal asylum seekers are called "illegal", last year she outraged people by likening asylum seeking to an "invasion", and in 2019 Ms Braverman went full far-right, anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.  "As Conservatives, we are engaged in a battle against Cultural Marxism," she reportedly said. (imagine if Jeremy Corby or a member of his shadow cabinet had done that!)

Jean-Paul Sartre wrote “Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

Sports presenter Gary Lineker becoming the story is interesting for many reasons, most importantly the politics of offence effectively stopped all conversation about the government's illegal Illegal Bill at a critical time. The 47 words of Lineker's 'tweet' became column inches, some wrote-off the comparison he made to the language of 30's Germany as an example of Godwin's Law, but "there's no easy way to form a unified theory of Godwin's Law in the age of Trump and the alt-right."

We live in an age of mega-conspiracies that accommodate all different perspectives. 'Cultural Marxism' is linked to 'The Great Replacement Theory' with believers also weaving together conspiracies like 'climate change denial', 'anti-vaccination', 'anti-trans rights', and 'anti-5G'. When I've spoken to far-right protesters, protesting vaccinations, They've begun with 'The Mayan Calendar' and 'The Great Reset Conspiracy'

An Update on The Depths of “Gander”: Issue 18!

(Continued from here)

Back in December, I speculated about Issue 18 possibly giving us hints about a future situation regarding Della's return. I observed Cover B and noticed how the moon was present and how the mysterious submarine pilot had a space-vibe about her appearance despite being someone from underwater.

I've been anticipating to read it ever since. (And apparently many others did too, due to the fact that the issue is sold out on Atomic Empire as I’m typing this!) Now that it’s finally released...oh boy, do I have some things to say.

(Please read the comic book first. Lots of spoilers ahead.)

We find out early on that the Mysterious Submariner is a queen named “Diane”. Her name begins with a “D” and it has Greek origins in relation to the Moon. Amusingly enough, I was misled into thinking her name was “Stella” based on the way Atomic Empire listed the comic, yet she still ended up having a Space-related name.

It’s implied that she’s a tough girl who’s skillful with weapons, such as swords, and she enjoys taking risks. Launchpad thinks of her when he looks into the night sky.

Every time Launchpad brings Diane up in conversation he gets ignored. It’s a trend in the show that whenever he constantly gets ignored about something, it leads to something else worth paying attention to: Constantly being ignored about being a pilot led to helping to save Scrooge after he struggled to stop Pixiu and played a part in discovering why Scrooge was being so ignorant of the word “pilot”. LP's constant fear about one of the children being evil was disregarded even though Magica was nearby. If it weren't for Launchpad being determined to let Scrooge know about getting his driver's license, Fenton may have never become Gizmoduck.

Whatever Launchpad “knows a lot about”, there’s a good chance that he’s going to be ignored at first, but then the others realize how relevant he is.

There was a lot of focus on the Sun in the “Toth-Ra” episode, another example of Launchpad proving to be important. Could this have been alluding to him doing something surprising when the Moon is involved?

The comic takes place ENTIRELY at night despite Cover A taking place during the afternoon. This gives Cover B even more significance.

The story takes place in a dark environment with a body of water, just like “Gander” and “Depths”. As I brought up in my previous post, multiple comparisons can be made between being in space and being underwater. The show highlighted this when Fethry referred to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge as “liquid space” and LP called it “the underwater sky”.

I’m intrigued by the artists seeing Diane as so important, that they placed her on one of the covers instead of keeping her design hidden within the story. This is the first time we've seen any of Launchpad’s reboot exes up close; let alone get to meet any of them. The show never gave us a glimpse of Ziyi and we still don’t know what type of mermaid Oceanika is. This comic could definitely be hinting that the next lover we see on screen will be just as close. (Or even closer.)

Diane caused such a commotion, a tsunami warning was issued out.

Multiple people were alerted by her arrival, could Della contact Earth and it causes enough interference that a lot of people end up receiving her message?

Scrooge isn't fazed by the tsunami warning at all, he sees it as an opportunity to go out surfing.

This reminded me of my speculation about Scrooge being so busy doing other things that he doesn't pay attention to Della’s call. I wondered if the bet he made with Glomgold would be the distraction.

In an out-of-context quote, Roxanne Feathery talked about a storm forming over the mansion. Could the tsunami have been alluding to that?

The idea of Scrooge planning on riding the tidal wave kind of reminded me of what Della was trying to do with the cosmic storm.  Is there some sort of loose parallel going on? There was a vehicle, a pilot, a natural disaster and Scrooge's involvement.There’s also the idea of the Money Bin being threatened as a result: Scrooge assumed Diane wanted to steal his money and Scrooge almost causes himself to go bankrupt by using his money to search for Della.

Later on in the story, we find out that Diane came to Duckburg to save Launchpad. She was told that he was kidnapped and enslaved by Scrooge, but this, of course, was just a misunderstanding.

In another post of mine, I speculated about Launchpad possibly being part of Della's motivation for taking the Spear due to his lack of input on her decision. Even after “Last Crash” when we find out that he knows why everyone was moving out, he doesn't bother to weigh in on the situation. His reactions to the family crisis are hardly focused on. If he doesn't blame Scrooge and he doesn't seem to want to blame Della...then who does he blame?

Could Launchpad have actually been in trouble years ago and Della took the Spear early to save him? Was she baited into space travel by being lied to and fell into someone’s trap?! LP’s character has a history of space travel and he’s been abducted by aliens in the original Darkwing Duck series.

Lᴀᴜɴᴄʜᴘᴀᴅ ᴡᴀs ғᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇᴅ ɪɴ ғʀᴏɴᴛ ᴏғ ᴀɴ ᴀʟɪᴇɴ ᴘᴏsᴛᴇʀ ɪɴ "Tᴇʀʀᴏʀ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ Tᴇʀʀᴀ-ғɪʀᴍɪᴀɴs".

If Launchpad was the reason for taking the Spear, could the natural disaster be in reference to Della's disappearance disrupting the family?

I’ve been holding on to the theory that Dewey could be reminding LP of Della for the longest time and this comic just increases that belief.

Their friendship is being highlighted in the same issue we find out about one of Launchpad’s previous lovers and Dewey is said to be a lot like Della.

After learning about the tsunami warning, he was quick to snatch up Dewey to take him to safety instead of snatching up both him and Webby at the same time.

In the show, Launchpad’s attachment to Dewey feels like it came out of nowhere. He suddenly revealed that Dewey was his best friend in “Terror” without having much interaction prior and even after Huey was kind enough to check on him after the snake trap Dewey set off and Louie being the first to consider Launchpad as family. (Hm, but I guess to be fair, LP was dazed on both occasions.)

In “Shadow War”, Launchpad was more upset about Donald and the boys moving away than Webby and Dewey was at the base of most of his concerns.

In “Jaw$”, Dewey wasn't the only one to get eaten by the Money Shark, but Launchpad rushed towards him for a hug. (And then later scooped up Huey and Louie.)

Dewey is always the one chosen to ask Launchpad about his mysterious, romantic adventures. Perhaps their friendship was sparked by Dewey checking on Launchpad after his search for Ziyi, but with all these other facts surrounding this, I can’t help but think that something more is going on.

I’m so baffled by Diane and LP’s relationship status. They both still have strong feelings for each other, so why did they split? Why did she go back home so quickly instead of sticking around for a visit? Because she had a kingdom to attend to? Because he couldn't stay underwater with her? What got in the way? And what could this tell us about Della’s relationship with Launchpad if she had one?

LP kept referring to her as just a friend rather than an “ex-girlfriend” or a “special friend”. So they dated briefly? Or he just doesn't want anyone to know their status? Is it because even though they’re not together, they’re not entirely done with each other, so “friend” is the best way he can describe her? Why is his love-life so dang secretive?!

They didn't even hug. I’m sad.

Donald’s exclusion from this story makes me wonder about his role in any episode that could reveal Launchpad having a connection to his sister...reminds me of when I tried figuring out why he was excluded from the news report and if it’s indicating the possibility of him being pushed back during a space adventure in some way.

Since Dewey and Webby are the kids featured in this comic, I wonder if they’ll be the first to question LP’s history and start doing an investigation.

Taking a small step away from Della: In the B Plot of the story, Huey is having trust issues with Louie in the Money Bin. He things his younger brother made up the tsunami warning as an excuse to dive into Scrooge’s gold coins instead of cleaning up the treasures like they promised.

Is this hinting towards a situation where his family doesn't believe him about something important? And could it tie in with Della in some way?

Keeping track of the occurrences that took place before the issue’s released was almost as interesting as the story itself:

The issue was originally set to release on February 13th, a day before Valentine’s Day, but it got pushed to later in the month, the 27th was considered according to Amazon but the 20th was ultimately decided and every outlet switched to this date.

(Fʀᴏᴍ Lᴇᴀɢᴜᴇ ᴏғ Cᴏᴍɪᴄ Gᴇᴇᴋs)

iTunes released a three-page preview a week before the 20th. (I suppose it was queued with the original date.) None of the other sites had a preview available until the day before the issue came out and it was during the later half of the day. Usually, previews are available in multiple places at least a few days before the comic’s release date. I'm probably jumping the gun a little with this, but it seems like there could have been some hesitation over releasing any part of this comic... it's not unusual for comic dates to change, but if it had stayed on the 13th, maybe that would have been too suggestive. Maybe they were trying to figure out the best way for people not to catch on too quickly? Whatever the situation may be, the fact that we're getting this comic not only in a month associated with romance, but a date that isn't too far from the premiere of “Whatever Happened to Della Duck?!”, feels a little too intended.

I was originally planning to holding off on all my Issue 18 thoughts on this blog until the new episode, but wow! This comic gave us so much potential hinting, I couldn't keep quiet about it! Perhaps I'll make another “Gander” update picking back up on some of these points and what interesting things the episode has to offer.

Green Eggs and Ham: “Train” Review or A Little Better Now (Patreon Review for Emma Fici)

Hello you happy people and all aboard! We’re back on the Green Eggs and Ham Train for a Train themed episode. Train. As you can tell I like trains... admitely I don’t see enough episodes et on them and I don’t buy books or obess on them but I like the idea of a train, the comfort, the use of a mode of travel that was once common but is now simply used on occasion with the dawn of air travel, and it confining our heroes to a smaller space with limited room to move. it’s good stuff. I even tolerae the band train... I mean yes their music is okay at best, but the lyrics.. are wonderfully delightfully insane. Who else would use a garbage bag as a genuine romantic metaphor?

When last we left off things ere a bit ehhhhhhhhhhh: Sam went from delightfully quirky with some issues ot adress to annoying, and Michelle went from kin dof a bitch ot ENTIRELY THAT BITCH. Outside of Guy’s mental breakdown/heatstroke episode involving hallucinations of green eggs and ham, yes that did in fact happen, it wasn’t much to write home about and I worried the series simply had a good PILOT but the series itself wasn’t going to be fun sit through.

So we pick up where we left off with Guy hurtling into a lake. Eh I dunno i’ve heard being naked ina  lake is pretty neat. 

All you’d have to do is take off the hat and your there. But Sam saves him wiht the weird train of hats he put at the end of the car for some reason, and our heroes are saved.. but down a vehicle. Oh and Sam’s vehiclular neglgence costs a bunch of fish their home.

And our heroes are without a car and Guys at the end of his rope with Sam.. I mean granted he’s been there since he met the guy but it’s down to like the tiniest thred, not helped by Sam casually stealing his wallet to pay for train tickets depsite Guy , UNDERSTANDABLY, not wanting to hang out with the guy who has stolen with him, gotten him implicate din animal trafficing and dosen’t really respect personal space. Also it’s taken me embarassingly long to remember Micheal Douglas played my boy Hank Pym in the Ant Man and the Wasp films. Seroiusly I don’t know HOW I forgot that, him being aged up and thus unable to do ANY of the things he is constnatly denied credit for in canon (Founding the avengers, being the first ant man.. and the first goliath and the first yellow jacket and the first giant man.. and the only doctor pym...).. but instead the film kept his troubled nature and ego, but removed the domestic abuse (which is something I will not go into but needless to say the comics version went above and beyond to try and make up for that and redeem himself soley because it was the right hting to do) and by making im older still gav ehim a roll as Scott’s mentor. What i’m getting at is I freaking love Hank Pym and I could’ve been making hank pym jokes for several episdoes now. That’s a mistake I itned to recitfy.. right away as Guy looses his suitcase as a result of it and whie he lcaims not to be bothered his voice says otherwise. Eh i’m sure the world can wait for ultron Guy. 

So anyway, Guy reluctantly agrees to the train travel idea and being parked across from Sam on the grounds he has no real other options. Meanwhile the BAD GUYZ.. and i’ve also decided to drop spoilers as the series is two years old, most people reading this have probably seen the series, and it makes analysis rough when I have to dance around spoilers. So yeah the BAD GUYZ aren’t villians.. kind of a dickhead on the blue guys part, but not EVIL. They figure out their going by train it’s a whole thing.

ON the train we run into michelle again...

Yeahhh for the first half she’s as inusfferable as she was the last two episodes and it lead me to believie the rest of the series was going to be constant suffering as she’d be in every episode, likely because they DID get Diane Keaton for this and you don’t waste Diane Keaton. You just don’t. But while they got their money’s worth in having her on screne wise they just..w asted her for the first 2 and a half episodes: Michelle is a judgemental, unpleasnt suffocating bitch and it’s going to take a lot , even if this episode helped, to make me truly like her as a person. 

Case in point her first two scenes this episode are just.. dragging her daughter past a play place uncarring about her feelings because while I DO get she cares about her child’s saftey and is terrified afte rloosing her husband.. it dosen’t EXCUSE her actions. It dosen’t forgive her locking her daughter up constanlty, not talking to her like a human being and oh yeah PUTTING A FUCKING LOCK ON HER SHE CAN CONTROL.  I mean my god I don’t think they INTENDED for her to come off as abusive as she does, and i’ve seen far worse inteitonally and untietionally, but it’s still not remotely plesant. There is a larger issue baked into that the episode brings about, but we’ll get to that. 

And naturally at breakfast.. she procedes to top herself. ONCE AGAIN she treats guy like trash as guy UNDERSTANDABLY didn’t want to talk to her after her previous layers of bullshit which, just as a refresher, involved insulting his invention constnatly (even if it turned out ot be dangerous she did not know that till the last second) then refusing to help a man BAKING in the desert and mocking him to his face. 

So yeah unsuprisingly instead of you know, APOLOGIZING for that episode or anything else she mocks him again and calls him sad. I just.. I get they were trying to have her come off as a jerk and then slowly develop.. but you can’t overdue the jerk part. It has to be juts the right amount and if it is this much there has to be a commpuance. There is none as far as I can tell because god is a spiteful two faced prick. 

So naturally Sam forces the two parties together, and orders green eggs and ham for everyone, except guy who refuses. We do get a really great bit though as EB turns down the idea and we get a tremendous rant from Micheal Douglas as he talks about how a girl in his clash, veyr likely just him, got a rash from tring new things and you shouldn’t and to watch out for the scarlet beetle he’ll steel your ants and try to conquer your planet and is not a guy in a costume but in fact an actual beetle. EB naturally tries it. 

We get a brief interlude with Snerz that’s funny enough: he outright calls his visotrs flunkies, they enter to the song money, and his minon throws dollar bills at their feet. I imagine this is what visitng Mar a Largo is like. They turn up his noses until he mentions getting a chickarffe for his animal crutelty wall. And i’m torn about Snerz. On one hand he can be generally entertaining in his dickery.. but ont he other I do question why he’s in EVERY episode. We don’t NEED him in eveyr one and I feel he’s only in them because Eddie Izzard was expensive so they had to get him as a regular to justify the cost. We really DONT’ need this scene funny as it is and it adds nothing so far. Maybe i’m wrong and these guys end up being important. I don’t know. 

So yeah so far this episode was miserable getting through and I expected it to be another long sit... I was wrong. The second half.. is really damn good and reminded me why I liked this series so much. No really. We get two stories,both really good following one half of each pair teaming up. As for why their split Guy is annoyed with Sam, as well as dosen’t want him letting the chickaraffe out because you know lots of people dosen’t want ot go to jail and leaves to find a quiet place to work on watching paint dry while Michelle tucks a sleeping EB in, her first really truly humanizing moment, which should NOT have taken three episodes but hey, i’ll take it, and goes to find the same.

So starting with Sam and EB, naturally Sam takes all of a minute to let his buddy out and it gets loose on top of the train. EB hears the familiar sound and gives chase and the two meet properly. After Sam covers for his buddy and realizes the creature is asleep in his car safe now, he properly talks to EB and we get a truly magical sequnece: The two talk with Sam whoelheartdly supporting her free spirit and finally giving the girl what she badly needed: someone who treated her not as something to be tied down but you know.. a child who just wants some expression and as she literally lets her hair down, It’s truly adorable and it just has a magical quanitity as they enjoy the beautiful view from the train top. 

Granted this takes at urn later when EB brings up her mom, and Sam.. supports her mom, pointing out she’s just looking out for her.. which she is but in a deeply unehalthy way and I don’t like the show just.. brushing over Michelle’s terrible actions because “she’s her mom”. But it’s also hard to tell if they are: Sam’s mom left him as we’ll find out, so he likely colors his memories of her rosey and simply envys EB still HAVING hers. It’s not BAD stuff but I don’t like a work saying “You should love your family just beacause your related”. Instead of because they lovea nd support you and if they dont’ love you or treat you remotely well or don’t give an ass about you fuck them. Thankfully I DO love my family and have no issues with them, my immediate family at least, but i’ve had friens with downright abusive or neglectful parents. It’s not that black and white. Ducktales also hammered in the family theme but was transparent in how it can me messy, harm each other and that it took true love and consideratoin for it to work at it’s core. 

It’s still not a terrible scene and what comes next is neat as earlier it was shown the train has loops, because Seussworld, and now that’s a problem because their on top of it. Michelle’s jail braclet thing ends up coming in handy the first loop, as while she can’t unstick it means she and sam can suririvie it. They do get it loose, turns out the password was indeed password, because of course, and they end up narrowly suriving a roller coaster bit of track, with the help of MR. Jenkins who I can finally name because EB names her in the next scene. Understanding her need for a pet, Sam deputizes her, and gets her back in bed in time for the next plot. 

Speaking of which winding back a bit as these two go back and forth, Guy goes through two rather hilarious cars: First a bath car that has a bubsby berkely style water number and then a model train car.. with the train on the track showing guy watching guy watchin gthe train etc. 

It’s great. Guy ends up finding the quiet car.. and Michelle. And in her first scene of acting like a human being and not if julie powers was a soccer mom, Michelle, while standosfish as usual, not only unites with guy to shush a loud guy in the car, but is genuinely apricative when Guy helps her get her place back, she was doing some literal bean counting. 

The two genuinely hit it off, first with some adorable silent bits and then by talking, with Michelle appreciating his now safer job and warming up to him. Keaton and Douglas have GENUINE chemestry and it annoys me itt took the series this long to use that instead of wasting Diane Keaton on being 

It’s really great stuff and i’m actually rooting for the two.. once she gets her shit together obviously. Guy does make the mistake of lying abotu knowing about the chikcaraffe.

This ends up being bad as he finds out EB knows the next day and after she leaves the car RIGHTFULLY tears the fuck into same for getting him accused of crime, stealing from him and now puttin ghim in a precarious situation. While Guy DID lie, he idd so well meaningly and trying to impress someone whose ineherntly judgmeental. Douglas also does REALY well in the scene, calling sam out but it dosen’t feel cruel.. it’s justified. While guy is miserable and does need to work on himself.. Sam also needs to work on himself and is putting guy in serious danger just by forcing him into his animal smuggling scheme. 

So Guy leaves.. and naturally given the unvierse hate shim runs into the BAD GUYZ, who aren’t much better. No really they refuse to belieive guy might be innocent, use excessive force on everyone. They have better GOALS than sam but I woudln’t really call them good people. Smash to black and we’re out. 

Final Thoughts:  This one was better. As I said the first half or rather third drags slightly but once we get to the two seperate plotlines it’s REALLY damn good stuff and reminded me what the series was capable of in character in creativity. Hopefully it keeps this up

(stranger things) Season 3 Chapter Seven: The Bite, okay like the Robin coming out scene, just Steve and Robin being the best in general, Alexei being an absolute treasure like he’s so cute when he’s trying out carnival games, also Murray and Alexei so good, and in the end where I get to see all of my children meet up and my actual 1 second of stonathan.

4. What’s your favorite season of 5? (bob’s burgers) hmm this is hard probably season 7 it’s the one I’ve probably watched the most but I also love the new season a lot too.

6. Who’s your favorite couple in 2? (andi mack) T.J and Cyrus obviously, one they are adorable and have the cutest relationship build up and the first gay disney couple uh yeah.

(bojack horseman) um like I’ve said I’ve watched this show a thousand times and I guess the ones I skip the most is s2 ep 11: Escape from LA, it’s just ugh bojack is so gross in it like obviously that’s the point but when I do watch it I have to stop before the end because it makes me sick. Also s3 ep 11: That’s Too Much, Man! because I mean Sarah Lynn’s death so.

8. Favorite episode of 5? (bob’s burgers) oh god there are so many episodes, um it might have to be season 6’s season finale, Glued: Where’s my Bob? most of my favorites all have songs because I love song episodes and this has like the best song ever as well as I love Louise and Bob’s relationship so.

9. Favorite Season of 2? (andi mack) probably season 3 because the most T.J and like I liked the storylines in that season the most

10. How long have you watched 1? (bojack horseman) Since season 3 maybe or like right before season 4 came out

11. How did you become interested in 3? (ducktales) Um when I found out they were doing a reboot I had seen some og Ducktales and I love Donald and the nephews so I got into from the beginning

12. Favorite actor in 4? (stranger things) um i mean maybe david harbour he’s just so iconic but i also love joe keery and maya hawke obviously and wynonia ryder and just all of them.

13. Which do your prefer, 1, 2, or 5? Bojack, I love Andi Mack and Bob’s Burgers a ton but Bojack will always have a special place in my heart and I can always rewatch it.

14. Which have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? I’ve seen all of both but I’ve rewatched Bojack more then any other show like ever. I rewatch it constantly.

15. If you could be anyone from 4 who would you be? (stranger things) oh boy like I’m most like Robin (was in band, played soccer, dc comics, and muppets fan) , but I have a really strong connection with El and relate to them a lot so one of them I guess.

16. Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Ducktales and Stranger Things like not really unless they some how got to do an animated bit and it made sense like in supernatural but probably not they both deal with abnormal occurances so that’s kind of all

17. Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? (bojack horseman) this is hard because like none of the characters really work together but I thought about this a lot and like maybe Gina and Diane like I would kind of like to see it.

Overall which show has a better storyline, 1 or 3? omg you can’t do this too me ughh my two absolute favorite shows and like ummm i don’t know they both have really good plot lines I mean I guess bojack has more of an overarching theme but that’s just because it’s over and ducktales has that too it’s just not as intense even though it is i don’t know they both have so much character development i can’t choose

19. Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? I mean it’s both very different theme music but soundtrack over all I’d say stranger things but andi mack has some jamming original songs talking about your stuff asher

City of Monsters part 2 was a phenomenal episode!

However I was kinda disappointed with the arc as a whole. It had moments (Hiro confronting Diane at the conference was downright cinematic and probably up there with the best scenes in the show) and I enjoy the ideas and character development but something about it just feels underwhelming despite the show getting much darker in tone and the animation becoming much more consistently impressive. I still love season 2 so far but I'm hoping the second arc will be just as amazing as the last few episodes of season 1 (I am actually kinda worried nothing in the future can top Countdown to Catastrophe which is easily one of the best cartoon episodes of the decade).

I don't know, maybe this underwhelming feeling just comes from the fact I see a new BH6 episode immediately after a new Ducktales episode.

Only other thing I'm gonna say is High Voltage don't deserve to go back to jail. I want to see them either get the normal life they want or start using their powers for good (like Globby).
