Can we PLEASE discuss how people either see C!Philza as either bad dad or good dad?

Mate. Phil is a ying yang character, he has layers he has complexity, he has development, he suffers changes, he suffers alternations from the ambient he lives. Do people simply forget he is also ALL Philza's characters aside from OriginsSMP? Like, THAT explains a lot of his behaviors. Putting C!Phil as just the DSMP material makes him "meh" but in the WHOLE picture he is such a complex character, ESPECIALLY in the paternal subject.

People say he was a deadbeat dad, HOW. Like *how* and I'm not even talking about the QSMP or anything, "C!Philza killed C!Wilbur" did he have a choice? Did he show indifference? Like, my man was just finding his son went insane and blew up a nation, AND *and* if I'm not mistaken, Phil came WORRIED that Wilbur stopped giving him updates and proper answers, SO HE WAS MORE OF A LEFT IN THE DARK PARENT.

We don't know much from C!Wilbur's childhood but there's NO indicator Phil was neglecting C!Wilbur, he actually IN DAY 1 looked for ways to revive his son and GRIEF changed him completely.

People also tend to forget TOMMY IS NOT HIS CHILD. WHY SHOULD PHIL CARE FOR A KID THAT ISN'T HIS TO BEGIN WITH??? Phil cares for Techno because of ✨ long term trust and friendship✨ not in "I'll adopt you" way. Yes Phil has violent tendencies but those were displayed in an ambient were violence IS NORMALIZED!!?

Did he fuck up? Yeah, C!Fundy is an example (even if I say justified answer but ehhh-)

Can we please accept he fucked up MANY points but wasn't deadbeat? Insane? A bit Violent tendencies? Yeah. Morally chaotic? Also yeah

It's Ouroboros time!!! Yet again my artstyle has shifted and honestly just expected that- I don't care much for trying for consistency anymore.

Anyways, this time I present concepts for all the younger members of the smp (or at least the early smp)

Thatcher (Tommy) - Skywing/Hivewing - I've shown Thatcher off before but he appears again, everyone's favorite bright and annoying when you first meet him guy. Nothing has really changed with his design or my plans for him.

Bee? (Tubbo) - Sandwing - I am not set at all on his color palette I'm gonna be honest, so if anyone has ideas for a more 'CTubbo' palette please give it to me. As for other facts I plan to probably give his design some sort of striping to match up with my idea of potentially naming him Bee, as well as making sure his design keeps it's similarities to my plans for Schlatt in this au since I am going the route of them being family. This design test is also pre-smp so no scars just yet.

Verglas? (Ranboo) - Icewing/Hivewing - Now I know that everyone who dragons CRanboo makes him an ice-night but not me!! Hivewing blood supplies both a black other half, the ability of green or red accents AND better fits their lanky body type compared to the bulk of icewings and nightwings. Oh and it also supplies a secret third thing :)

Purpled - Silkwing/Hivewing - Purpled's name isn't changing, but anyways everyone's favorite angsty teen is a Silk-Hive who never went through any metamorphosis, he lacks wings entirely and possesses an extra set of arms, giving him a more 'alien' vibe. He can produce silk though, and his UFO in this case is more like a single dragon hive structure that took several months to build considering he is just one young dragon. He lacks venom but still has stinger like extensions on his claws and tail tip that can be used as natural blades, also he's gonna have some fun background lore that I'm not gonna get into just yet.

okay if i dont get this out i will explode but

the white half of c!ranboo is a shapeshifter. they don't know how to like activate it or anything and don't even know it exists but when they feel comfy or something then they will subconsciously shapeshift into something more similar to the other person.

so like enderman/ram/human hybrid when he's married to tubbo. during the artic commune / syndicate stuff he's a enderman/piglin/human hybrid or an enderman/crow/human hybrid. his skin becomes pinker and he grows tusks when he's with Michael. when he hangs out with tommy he grows flowers in his hair.
