David King:

2023, for me, was the year of the robot. Early last year I listened to DP's entire discography, and while in the middle of listening to HAA their 10 year remaster of RAM released. There's so many things I could say about this year, how incredibly humbling but exciting it was, how much I've grown and learned this year. But I want to say thank you. I do not mean to be holier than thou and I understand everyone is smart in their own way but I was watching a youtube vid about a DS game and the guy said "this game ran on 8MB of RAM! that's crazy, because my outro music is 8.1MB" and I could not stand to watch 2 hours of this guy afterwards

i do legitimately think that they should remove casual mode from future FE games and have infinite turnwheel mode instead. you don't get really really awkward story moments thanks to nobody ever having the chance of dying, and it makes people play better without making the game inaccessible. casual mode was an understandable bridge for the DS and 3DS where there was not the same amount of available RAM, but on modern systems, there's not really a problem with it.

if anyone has a particularly good argument for why casual mode should stay instead of infinite turnwheel, i'd like to hear it, but i personally can't see a good reason for it at the moment (i've played every fe game and completed all of them except fe1, but i started with awakening, so it's not like i'm some grognard from the early 00s.)
