First off, I love cringe and I love giving age regression headcannons to EVERY kind of person/character so don’t ever doubt yourself in my inbox again. I love you. I love this creativity. Keep it going. This is fantastic. This is what fandoms are about.

Regressor!Dottore — The Doctor

Genshin Impact Agere

—Each part of himself that he split into a new segment/clone regresses into a different age range; toddler, baby, middle, etc.

—Even though each clone is a difference regression age they still play together

—They do little things like designing new masks or outfits for each other or challenging each others knowledge regarding medical/god/power trivia or something (spoiler: they all know the same things and no one ever wins. yet they all win because they’re entertaining themselves)

—Splitting himself into segments causes a bit of wear on his brain and regression is a way for his brain to help deal with that stress

—He learned about agere from observing a patient long ago.

—He doesn’t view regression as a waste of time to him since it gives him a different perspective on the world. Or that’s what his adult headspace explains it as anyway.

—Regression is secretly a way for his brain to take a bit of a break from the constant obsessive thoughts regarding his desire to turn people into gods. Agere allowed him to just… take a moment for his brain and body so he doesn’t get overwhelmed or run himself into the dust.

—It’s like a momentary cool down period where afterwards he feels refreshed and blooming with new ideas.

—He’s strong enough that “he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants.” (this thought process really makes him sound like a brat but… no one would say that to him since he’s nearly a god). Which means he also doesn’t consider regression a weakness since even when he’s in this more vulnerable headspace.. he can still be worry free since he’s practically “invincible.”

—He makes his own toys. Whether they’re robots made/powered by people and their souls… that’s for Dottore to know and Dottore to be disturbingly pleased with.

—Since he can shapeshift, that’s how he plays sometimes. He changes into someone else and either just goes about in that body

—Or he conducts “child friendly” experiments on others. Such as social experiments and sometimes other things.

—Dissecting isn’t for most kiddos but his personality doesn’t change too much when little so he has a great time.

—Everything seems so much more unique and interesting when little.

—He likes learning. Especially about people/illnesses so he reads and colors on medical coloring books.
