This is more, like, broaching the topic of your first time. It's not my best work imo but I need to set this down before I keep fiddling with it. Also the keep reading break keeps moving stop that.

So, we all know Rika fucks. Even though I've characterized her as someone who's secretly a disaster behind closed doors because fuck she loves her girlfriend, she's gotten plenty of action before getting with you.

To Rika, sex is just all about making each other feel good. She's had many partners before, a casual fling or two here and there. It's not a big deal to her, but she understands that not everyone feels that way. So when you draw boundries at touches that were too close and intimate for you to handle, she backs off, careful to not pressure you into anything you aren't alright with.

It starts with a simple make out session, her body practically glued ontop of your own on the couch. The proximity, her warmth, the tongue exploring your mouth, it's all so much, your head buzzing, above the clouds. You can't help but want it to continue forever. That is, until, you feel her hand, the one previously perched upon your hip, travel down, finding a new home on the waistband of your pants.

Rika pulls back the moment you pull your lips away from her own, face flushed, clearly nervous. It takes her a moment to realize that she took things a bit too far. She apologizes quickly, cupping your cheek gently, asking if you're alright with moving any further, and when you say no, that's that. She presses another kiss to your lips, this time chaste and quick, content to cuddle for the rest of the night (not before taking care of herself in the bathroom first).

She was dissapointed that things ended early, sure, but youre her girlfriend. Her sweet, lovable girlfriend. And the last thing she'd want to do is make you uncomfortable, push your boundries in a way you wouldn't enjoy. She gives you a bit of time, a few days or so, before bringing the topic up again, wanting to understand where you fall on all of this.

It's a simple question, really. "Why didn't you want to go any further?" No bitterness, no upset, just your girlfriend wanting to know where your boundries lie so she understands how to best navigate the intimate aspect of your relationship.

When you tell her you're a virgin, she really isn't surprised. Again, Rika's been with many people before, some who are wise beyond their years with experience and other's having none. Your shy touches whenever she was so close, the clumsiness in your actions and uncertainty of where to place your hands, it all was a give away, honestly. Not that she'd tell you, though. The last thing she wanted was to make you feel ashamed for something that really wasn't a big deal.

So she waits. She tells you as such. She'll wait for you to feel ready before trying to press forward again, but she does let you know that she'll be treating you to the best night of your life if you came around to the idea.

She doesn't show you but honestly she's so fucking excited. Being your first time? Setting the standard for any of your future partners, should you have any past her? Corrupting you? It's kinda hot to her. She wouldn't bring up the last part, though. Rika Corruption kink is real to me, but she's not going to spring that on you. Your first time should be sweet and gentle, about you and your pleasure. So she'll reserve that idea for when she gets off on her own.

The day you tell her that you think youre ready, she is over the moon. It's a little sudden on your part. You had been thinking about it for days, and wanting nothing more than to feel her all over you, over the most intimate parts of you, but were just too anxious to actually make the push. What if it wasn't all that you thought it would be? What if you messed something up? What if you did something really gross and it turned Rika off so much that she didn't even want to touch you? But your want eventually outweighs your worries.

It's a stammered confession, holding her hand, playing with her fingers as you get the words out, embarrassment burning up your face, thoughts going a million miles per minute, but you try your best to focus on Rika, the way her face brightens up at your words, the way she grabs your hand and squeezes it tight, her lips pressing on your forehead, the reassureance in her voice as she tells you that tonight she'll take care of you. Pamper you like you deserve.

Maybe telling her in the morning was the wrong decision, because you go through the rest of the day completely distracted, overthinking and worrying about what will happen when you get home, yet still excited at the prospect, left pressing your thighs together while trying to get any meaningful work done.

You get home before her that night, as you typically will, trying to act normal. Make some dinner, get cleaned up, don't overthink ever little thing. Normal nightly activites. Your heart stammers in your chest as you move around your apartment, but practically stops when the front door creeks open, a call of "I'm home!" echoing through the halls. She finds you quickly, pulling you into her arms, kissing you gently, complaing about the work day. You mention dinner, her face brightens, quickly returning to the kitchen to eat. Your normal nightly routine.

Rika's demenour is normal, but youre fidgeting and anxious. Bouncing your leg as you eat, trying to ignore the heated pit in your stomach. You can't think straight, simply nodding and humming along as Rika talks. How can you focus on her words at a time like this? She notices, obviously. She knows you, although anyone could look at you and tell something was up just by looking at you.

You're snapped out of your thoughts when her hand touches your thigh, not heated, just gentle, enough to make you look at her in the eyes for the first time since this morning, worry evident on her face.

"Do you still want to go through with this?" It's soft and quiet, for your ears only. You can only nod, placing your hand on top of her own. You were ready for this, you were tired of running away from what you wanted from overly anxious thoughts. A smile works it's way back onto her face, soft on the surface, but laced with an unmistakble heat, quickly standing up, ready to wisk you away to the bedroom. As much as she'd like to take you, taste you, right then and there, she was going to give you a proper first time.

Okay, so I didn't draw every month. Who cares. I actually had a lot of fun with my art this year, did so many full color illustrations, and managed to start one of my long-time projects. I think that joining Art Fight really helped. Not only has it encouraged me to explore creating and developing my own characters, it was so rewarding to gift art directly to people who spent so much love and time on their OCs!

I think that because of the shock from the events of my 2023 and trying to fill the void in my heart after the pokemon anime with satoshi ended, i cycled through quite a few fandoms this year. It's been fun, and really pushing me to adapt to and try different styles. My fundamentals still need work, but I'm working on not avoiding difficult poses/compositions and instead attempting them even if they end up wonky!

Also...I'm aware I didn't post more than half of these on tumblr...maybe I should just for archival purposes ^^; I've kinda gotten over my 'if it doesn't perform numbers on sns, it's not good' mindset, but I think I'm still trying to get over the 'people know me for one thing, and idk how they'll feel if i stop making content for that one thing' mentality. NGL, I still want that external validation from having my art recognized, but making art that I'm personally proud of is still my main priority. Bah, add that to my goals for next year.

A lot of life events (mostly positive!) in 2024 also led me to do some other artistic pursuits like...

sewing (i made that!!! and it has pockets!!!)

cosplay (even managed to squeeze in a last minute casual tifa cosplay lol)

and even video editing!!! (I won't post...for now... but if you know my youtube, you know... lol)

Anyways, I hope to continue this creative energy and motivation into the next year. I realized that I'm not gonna get anywhere by just standing still, so even if I don't show that progress publicly, I want to keep practicing and improving! Rather than only moving with bursts of inspiration, it'd be nice if I could go back to consistency, because I know that ultimately, that's the only way I'd be able to tackle my larger projects. I'm also very likely to join Art Fight again in 2025, so maybe...flesh out a story or design for an OC?? Quite ambitious, but cautiously optimistic for the future!

didn’t finish the Pokemon clean drawings yet but I was to proud of this to not post so!!!! here’s my violet-pokesona! a little goober of a kid who was basically raised by Miraidon in the woods. They live in a huge hidden cave forest lake area. they don’t understand human society <3<3<3 i did have to change up the timeline bc I made the concept before finishing violets plot so! spoilers and explanation under cut!

other trivia:

Arden’s Tera orb is a repaired version with a Tera shard stufffed haphazardly inside. It’s unstable but more powerful

They stole their rotom phone (what is a property ownership)

they will eat practically anything (including Pokemon berries which are not normally considered edible)

they got warped because they were raised by Pokemon and have limited abilities. For example, if desperate enough they can use TMs for a one-time use of that move, though this more often than. Not injures them as the human body isn’t adapted to using moves and can’t stand the power

they do visit the outskirt towns but none of the big ones, but will go to Pokemon centers. They have a steady supply of league points from Pokemon meteoals that they use instead of money since they hide from ost trainers, though they do sell stuff to the pokemart

their team is family to them and they defend them (especially Miraidon and Andromeda) with a ferocity few trainers have

they can read, they’ll find books and stuff people left behind (or just Borrow them forever)

wants to collect as many relics of human culture as possible, so they end up seeking out gyms solely for the badges, not the accomplishment, they just need to collect Things ok

miraidon ran away from area zero and the original Turo much earlier, and Arven never met it before it escaped, as this version of turo kept it secret

It stumbled upon the tiny toddler Arden who’d been sperated from their parents with only a fiesty Eevee for company. It took both in and serves as an impromptu father figure for Arden and their team

years later, arven is exploring while trying to figure out if he should go to area zero or not (this occurs before mabosstifs injury, more on that later) and stumbles upon a kid his age making flower crowns with a group of Pokemon. They quickly go on the defensive and Miraidon pins him down (think httyd 1 toothless gets out of the net scene)

Arden surprises him by eagerly interrogating him. They speak an unusual mishmash of English/common? and as many Pokemon words/sounds as they can make. As such they understand Pokemon much better than any trainer but can’t maintain a full conversation, though they can practically do so just out of knowing their team very well (they don’t consider them a team, to them they’re family)

they steal the Violet book and run off. Arven chases them and ends up losing them. The two end up colliding again, sparking an unlikely friendship and beginning an adventure where the who seek out the truth behind Area Zero, turo’s disappearance,and the terastal phenomenon

So, in my mind, I’m conceptualizing a Touhou based Pokemon Region, so I’mma post the starters (in their unevolved forms) to see what people think.

As a quick baseline thing, I decided against doing a fire/water/grass trio in favor of a flying/fighting/rock trio since that felt more interesting. Also they’re all at least mostly based on Touhou characters, obviously.

Brellapole

The Tadpole Pokemon

Flying type

Dex entry: Brellapole are creatures with a natural buoyant body, similar to a balloon, which they use to float around the region. They steer themselves using the umbrella like horn on their head. They catch prey using their long tongue which is covered in a sticky saliva. Brellapole are known for their habit of trying to scare passersby’s for fun, though they aren’t very good at it.

Abilities: Intimidate/Jumpscare (which is just special intimidate).

Hidden Ability: Sticky Hold

Rough Stat concept: Fast Hp tank. Good defenses, Really high HP (Like base 90 in this stage), and unreasonably high speed for a tanky starter.

The Masking Pokemon

Fighting Type

Dex Entry: A strange species of bird like pokemon that hangs around towns in the Gensokai region. Maskimote always wear masks over their face, to the point that nobody has ever seen a Maskimote without their mask. Given the mask, Maskimote are not very expressive facially, but rather express themselves through dance. Maskimote are very anti-social animals, not liking crouds. Their tail is tipped with a long blade they use for hunting prey and self defence. Despite the wings on their body, they lack any form of flight.

Abilities: Oblivious/Long Reach

Hidden Ability: Own Tempo

Rough Stat Concept: Fast mixed attacker. Higher Physical attack then special, though they are very close.

Jiprentice (I spelled the name wrong on the drawing lol)

The Statue Pokemon

Rock Type

Dex Entry: Jiprentice are a Pokemon known for hanging around frequently used forest roads and trails. People of the Gensokai region frequently make offering of food and money to Jiprentice they find in the wild, due to the belief that these offerings will bring them good fortune. While Jiprentice are very sedentary creatures that move from their position very infrequently, they are far from inactive, practicing their magic day and night in order to improve.

Abilities: Solid Rock/Sap Sipper

Hidden Ability: Stall (Thankfully all these starters have their hidden abilities change on evolution lol)

Rough Stat Concept: It's a rock type. High Defenses, Low speed, the only real stand out thing is that it's a special attacker rather than physical. (It's physical attack isn't BAD per say, but it is worse than its special.)

So yeah, there's the starters! Based (loosely) off Kogasa, Kokoro, and Narumi respectively. Maskimote also takes loose inspiration from Yippees/Austism Creatures for no reason other than my inability to think of a better way to make the collection of 66 masks into a creature. I have actually designed the evolution to Bellapole (that was actually the first pokemon I drew for the whole dex), but I'll not post it now.

(Jack and Lucy aren't in 5D's sadly ^^;;; they're mostly here for Persona, Pokemon, or Fire Emblem. I have a couple other Yu-Gi-Oh! OCs I'm considering adding, though. I have two characters for ZEXAL and one for GX, though GX muse is a bit on the fence tbh. I'm only recently rewatching ZEXAL so my memory on things is kinda bad, but I would like to try adding some ZEXAL muses sometime later :3c)

Crow watched intently as the line from Sylvia's digital pen moved. Pixels shifted color to her whims, moving or blending with just one tap of her finger. She grabbed colors from the canvas, picked new colors of her own, undid and redid certain changes with all the practice of a pro.

She hummed something under her breath, intently focused on her drawing. Then she pulled it back, and suddenly he realized she was working on a new Duel Runner design for a client.

Briefly, his mind flashed back to Sylvia's own Duel Runner. Unlike most Runners, it had a very rounded, streamlined design. It had a different style from, say, his or Yusei's Runners. Did she design that one, too? What was she thinking as she drew? How did she know what changes to make, or what colors to pick?

A sigh escaped her lips. She leaned back, reattaching the magnetic stylus to the tablet. "I've been staring at this too long," she lamented. "Nothing looks right. What do you think?"

Crow froze, glancing down at her drawing. He thought it looked amazing. Like he was getting a peek at a real artist at work. He didn't know anything about colors or shapes like she did. But if he mentioned that he thought it was perfectly fine the way it was, she wouldn't be satisfied. He didn't have an answer for her.

So, in lieu of a real answer, he stood from the couch and stretched. "I think you need some soda, and maybe a ride. Wanna Turbo duel?"

Sylvia smiled at the suggestion, setting her tablet aside for the moment. "You're on."

Crow grinned. After all, he was one of very few people who could keep up with Sylvia's Weather Painters. Maybe clearing her mind a bit with a duel would help sort things out. Besides, he was getting bored of just watching.

Time for some action.

"'Scuse me," said Higuchi, drawing attention to herself again.

Izuku attempted to refrain from fidgeting, but... there was just so much going on. So much new information about quirks, about his friends, about One for All... it was all he could do to keep from fidgeting, either with his own hands or with One for All's hands. He wanted to whip out his notebook and start writing, but the seats in the Demonstration Hall were close together, and Kacchan was nearby and some memories from junior high were deep...

One of the hands of One for All (Nana's, maybe?) fluffed his hair in a vaguely chiding way, and he muttered an apology.

"Okay," said Higuchi, "now that y'all've got that, some other housekeeping details. First off, none of the quirk manifestations will take much in the way of weight. More'n a few extra pounds per square inch, and they'll go poof. As long as it's within my three day time limit, they'll reform, but they'll take the energy to do that from you. In fact, y'all might be noticing that forming them in the first place took something out of you. Other things... don't try to feed them. Don't set 'em on fire - that always gets weird, even if they don't poof."

Izuku wasn't the only one to look at Todoroki's already-on-fire bird.

"Don't try to eat them... And don't try to get to far away from them. That can cause them to disperse and reform, too, and how far away you have to get for that is different for each person. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's it." She gave the students a little wave. "Have fun with your quirks, everyone!"

"Wow," said Izuku, "I wonder why she didn't become a hero with such a convenient ability."

"What do you mean, Midoriya?" asked Mineta. His change was subtle, just a moving ooze-like pattern over his hair balls.

"Well, it sounds like her ability could be used to create instant weak spots. Even for a quirk like Kirishima's, if you can keep making the manifestation, um, poof, then you can eventually wear down the person."

"It's because she wanted to teach elementary school," said Aizawa. Izuku jumped. He'd somehow forgotten he was there.

He blamed all of the fascinating physical quirk manifestations around him. Yaoyorozu, sitting just on the other side of Mineta, glowed. It really added to her image as a goddess!

"Oh," said Izuku, "I bet it's really useful there, too." Especially with early quirk counseling. Well... That assumed she had an occupational use license... not that the lack of one had stopped the teachers at Aldera...

Anyway! No time to think about that! He had quirks to study! Including, and especially, One for All!

Principal Nezu got back up on the stage. "Please take the rest of the day to familiarize yourself with your quirks," he said. "Starting tomorrow, we will be running special lessons that take them into account."

And with that, the were dismissed. 1-A naturally gravitated to Ground Alpha, where they were sure to have lots of room for practice... or just to spread out and compare quirk effects.

"Alright!" said Kaminari, grinning at them and holding up his quirk manifestation, a long, pale yellow creature with long ears that was otherwise somewhere between a weasel and a hedgehog. "Who else has a new little animal bestie?"

"Me! Me!" said Ashido, jumping up and down. "Look at this cutie!"

Izuku... didn't know if he'd call that cute, exactly, but it was visually interesting. Like a wide, flat sea slug that folded over Ashido's shoulders like a cloak.

Other than her and Todoroki... yeah, that was it, actually.

"Do you think we could battle them like Pokemon?" asked Kaminari.

"Hm," said Todoroki, glaring lightly at his two birds (which were still fighting). "Pass."

As Kaminari and Ashido tried to battle each other, Izuku turned his attention to his other classmates. Some hardly looked changed, but for others... Kirishima had patterns on his skin that were reminiscent of what he looked like when he activated Hardening. Jiro's showed lines leading from her jacks and ears that went all over her body. Aoyama had both glitter and sickly-looking cracks radiating out from his stomach. Tokoyami's Dark Shadow had become much more solid-looking, almost like a double following him around.

It was amazing, it was fascinating, it was--

A bit strange, the way that he wasn't able to get a closer look at anyone.

"Todoroki, do you feel like... people are avoiding us?" asked Izuku. One of the hands patted his shoulder in a reassuring way. Absentmindedly, he patted one back.

"No," said Todoroki, who was staring intently at One for All's hands.

"Must just be a coincidence, then," said Izuku. His eyes wandered over to Aizawa and All Might, who were supervising them. Both of them were looking at him.

Coincidence.

Maybe there was something unusual about his quirk manifestation? He hadn't even thought about that, really, and he should have. He missed too much when it came to this quirk, like when he hadn't realized that All Might had been quirkless. What if he gave away the secret of One for All?

Another reassuring pat made him take a deep breath. No. Surely, hands weren't that unusual.

He looked at them. Seven pairs and one extra, for a total of fifteen hands. He brushed his fingers over the golden extra, the one he was sure corresponded to All Might. The shape was right.

What would they do if he activated One for All...?

He pulled up Full Cowl, and the grip of the hands became firmer. He could feel them, ready to lend him their strength. All Might's hand wrapped around his right wrist, giving the aching bones just that little bit extra relief.

He smiled, and whispered his thanks.

He loved quirks, and he was going to make the most of this one.

Class 1a are hit with a quirk that cause them to show ways of how their quirks effect them like aizawa's hair floats and eyes stay permanently red while bakugou's palms glow and momo's skin glows(like a goddess)

but ofa manifests like 8 pairs of glowing hands wrapped around izuku like a hug or pat on the back

feels re assuring for izuku, looks really creepy for everyone else

Izuku has a hand ruffling his hair, a fist pressed to his heart, a splayed palm on his back pushing him forward, a pair on his shoulders in reassurance, hands wrapped around him in a hug, some holding to his arms to balance him, some around his legs to lift him up. It's strange, but not uncomfortable- it feels nice, even

Except Class 1A, who've all seen Shigaraki in his full Hands McMike outfit at USJ, are having flashbacks and nervously trying to figure out why a strength quirk looks like that.

im looking for a proper job, but its not been going too well for me thusfar, largely because places ive applied have found more fitting people to fill the roles. and thats ok! i just need some way to make money in order to buy groceries and Supplies for My Boys and generally. live, lol! i also want to take some burden off of my roomates shoulders, considering hes been doing wonders to help support me, but im not really able to provide much in return. job places are also a bit hesitant to hire me considering my aforementioned health issues.

when was the last time you cried? - this morning!! nothing 2 be concerned about i got woken up by the fire alarm (also nothing to be concerned about it just needs the battery replaced) and was so tired & upset i started crying, which happens. more often than i would like. hm. maybe i named myself after the wrong afton kid

do you have kids? - nope!! i do like interacting with them though but only like 3 max at a time JFJRJFNG

what sports do you play/have played? - did soccer when i was a little kid (Hated It), was on a swim team for a while, and did marching band for the longest (which is my favorite and yes it counts as a sport and you cannot say it doesn't until you've been in marching band. cunt)

what's the first thing you notice about other people? - typically clothes and then hair! i have a relatively mild (but still pretty bad compared to ppl without it) case of face-blindness, and i CANNOT tell people apart by their faces at all unless they have smth like a bunch of facial piercings or a scar or smth Noticable so i tend to look at other things first.

favourite subject in school? - by the material probably math! it is sometimes difficult for me to get a concept but once i do it's Easy. i also do have an advantage (parent has math degree and is good at explaining) but i try and make up for it by helping everyone else as much as i can jfjdndjf. by the Class def band/music class if that counts. both of my music teachers have been both very scary yet very nice to me and i loved their classes so so much and i extremely enjoy playing instruments with other people (when they behave)

dream job? - sorting pokemon cards in a comfortable chair as a day job with a 4 day workweek, being a freelance renowned fiction editor on my own time, with occasional music-related gigs (tutoring, repairing stuff, playing in concerts, etc). i give you no shit if i could do that for the rest of my life and get paid well enough to live on my own or with roommates i like, have a cat, and have enough time and energy to homecook a meal 3-4 nights a week i would be so happy. that's all i want in life. Hello, I have drawn another pokemon, this time an Azurril, it has many flaws, but it's a nice try to get used to draw again. I painted it doing soft circles motions to practice that technique of painting.

I thought of many things to write alongside to this drawing, but the best idea of all is to put all together the Spanish pokedex entries where Azurril appears, since I'm from Latam and I thought it would be nice to share some information that might other pokedex from other places don't have...

Azurril is a Normal and Fairy type pokemon, it has a kind of rubber ball on its tail that bounces and contains all the necessary nutrients to grow, it coilts it up as if it were a ribbon and then unfolds it as far as it can, in this way, an Azurill can launch itself up to 10 meters (32.8 feets).

It lives near the water, using its tail as a float. On land it moves very fast, bouncing on its long tail. It's easy to see this Pokémon frolicking by sitting on top of its tail and playing bouncing on it. On sunny days, he joins others at the water's edge to play splashing games.

It is a calm Pokémon, but if it is angered, it will attack using the huge ball on its tail. In combat it throws its tail, which is larger than itself, to attack, waving it in the air from side to side to deal with and fight larger enemies.

Long read ahead sorry. Seriously do think the WOC fandom in general just has a problem with cliques. Its annoying. Genuinely I think the only nice people I've met here and actively talk to are the people in Haunted's server, my mutuals, Haunted themselves, and my ex's cars server. Hey, im not sure if you are the best person to go to for this but i thought you'ld atleast find it interesting.

Ive been having this issue with my mudkip. Recently she has been starting fires while unattended. It started out when i was babysitting my friends charmeleon who had a knack for accidently starting fires, and my swampert would put them out. My mudkip copies pretty much anything my swampert does and started putting them out herself.

At first i thought it was good and gave her treats to encourage her to put out fires. While the charmeleon was with us it was fine, but when they went back to their trainer, i was still finding fires which she would then put out. At this point i realised my matches were disapearing, so i stopped giving her treats and stowed my matches more carefully. I didnt really want to encourage her to not put out fires and this prevented any more instances for a while.

But a month later i found a draw open, baby lock broken, matches missing, and myterious scorch marks around my house. Soon after i found her staring at a fire, match box next to her. Once she realised i was there she put it out, sat on the burn mark and gave me puppy dog eyes. Ive hid the matches but this is has escalated and no matter where ive hid them she finds matches, even when i dont have any.

I've tried looking into it but i cant find any cases of this outside of fire types, and even there its extremely unusual behaviour. It seems to be the fire that interests her as she is doing this even without the treats. Ive talked with a doctor at the local pokemon hospital and will be seeing a behavioural specialist next month (apparently theyre busy and a water pokemon starting but proficently putting out fires isnt to high priority), but also wanted to get your opinion on this.

So like, If you came to me with this, you’re going to get my personal opinion, which would be to encourage safe fire practice. Hear me out.

Mudkip are pokemon that have been known to have heritage of species that can learn fire moves. If they have a garchomp, a marowak, maybe rhydon, or even exploud in their family, there’s a chance they have a small potion of fire wielding capabilities, even if it’s just the affinity with it. Because of their body however, they have no ignition to utilise this. They can however store great volumes of fluid within their mouth, and expel it over long and short range. You should take your buddy to go watch some fire breathers, and maybe even book a class with some if you get a chance, that you can do either in support of, or with your buddy. These folks are incredible performers that use flammable liquids in safe and controlled ways to wield fire. This is a teachable thing your mudkip might find interesting. Classes however start with safety training, often both the fire breather and their Pokemon being able to explain the dangers. Hearing that fire can be great but also dangerous from other Pokemon may help your partner realise there’s a time and a place (also helps with the language barriers). Being as safe as possible, but still doing what you enjoy, is a totally doable. This is where regular training with this must be accommodated for. A battle safe area with no trees or items, or flammable buildings are present. Local parks have em, gyms, even pokecentres usually have a practice pitch close by for people to use. Schedule in practice, put a little chart up on the fridge at their height, so they know the days and times they get to let loose and practice their skills. Investing in professionals time to tutor them is wise, but this is an unusual case of a water type just loving fire, and I for one couldn’t bring myself to fully squash that love, just make it safer, more focused. Encourage it in other areas. By the end, once they get the hang of it, they’re allowed the matches during non-regulation fights and practice times, they can use them to train, and they get given back to you when you go home, to be put in a safe location.

Even if they’re 100% mudkip, there’s a literal flame in that Pokemon, channel it, help it use that passion in a controlled manner. I’ve seen water Pokemon practice safe fire breathing before, It’s not unheard of, and you should give some thought to it as an option. Should you ever battle with this technique, it’s a real game changer to pull out.

The alternative is to try to go spend some time at a fire station open day. Kids and young Pokemon get given tours for fun, and to learn about fire safety. It might be that the little dude can’t fully grasp human language yet, and doesn’t understand the severity of what fire is. Again, other Pokemon will do a better job at explaining something quite complex than a human, language is hard sometimes, not every Pokemon will get it fully, or as easily as others. I guess try a child safe lighter instead of matches too, mudkip don’t have thumbs and find these difficult to use.

There’s something in my gut that says do it, just do it safely. Invest in extinguishers, fire blankets, good smoke alarms, and lessons for your mudkip, who clearly has an interest.

RPG Tumblr was a building block for communication and alter development. But befor that was deviant art, where we had the current host of that time create this "city". Where "characters" would be able to upload their art and stories. Since than it got built upon as a place we, the characters, could live and be part of life.

Since we had moved away from our friends and the internet was such an important part of our life growing up, used as an escape mechanism, a lot of our lives are online. Yet we have been spared to much of the big struggles a lot of younger systems are currently facing.

We don't like debating, thinking about, arguing about discourse. We have a lot of triggers around Anger. Navigating this shit makes us angry. It feels like tiptoeing an abusive house. Please respect our boundaries to not involve us in debating. We love learning and correcting wrong information, but application of morals and preferences as "rules" to navigate life is just not helpful for us.

our world was developing threw the lenses of our longest running host. Insuring we learned a lot of lessons with minimal trauma (this doesn't mean no trauma, just reduced/ spread out to try and keep functional). Aforementioned long ask post please excuse me while i try to figure out tumblr's new text editor. I’ll get into the art meme questions first and then the rest at the end.

Ok first of all thank you all for sending in questions! Giving me an excuse to talk hehe. I’ll address these in number order. Here’s a link to the ask meme for reference but also I’ll restate the question for ease of reading.

1. When did you get into art?

Super cliche answer but I don’t remember a time where I WASN’T the weird art kid! I started keeping a dedicated sketchbook when I was about 12? But here’s a page from my kindergarten journal about what I want to be when I grow up.

2. What art-related sites have you ever signed up for? 

LOL this is a weird question. Not sure why so many people want to know. Anyways I definitely had a dA. more than one dA account. I used to browse oekakis when I was a kid but I think I was only signed up to some small ones that internet friends owned. What else...? Mangabullet,Tegakie, Paintberri, iscribble back when that was a thing, instagram if that COUNTs, I used to post art on livejournal and dreamwidth too. Patreon, I guess. Gumroad, inprnt, bigcartel, storenvy all for selling stuff.

In terms of resources.. I have a schoolism account that I’m sharing with friends. Used to take classes on coursera for free. I signed up to textures.com for work recently haha. I can’t remember if I ever had an account on posemaniacs. Did they have accounts...? I definitely used to visit all the time.

3. Show us your oldest piece of art you have on hand.

Alright here’s me actually logging into my old deviantart account. These are from September 2008 So I was 13 years old. I don’t have a deviantart account from before then because 13 was the required age for having an account and I didn’t want to lie about my age because I wanted people to be impressed by how young yet clearly incredible at art I was LOL.

4. What defines your artistic style?

You guys are probably more equipped to answer this than me but uh... I wanna say... Focus on colors. And... a slightly heavy hand? Like confident... not always well-considered mark making HAH...

Also I think I have a pretty healthy mix of american comics/manga influences. I feel like people who are into american comics always think my art is too manga and people who are into anime/manga always think my art is too american. And I’m taking that as a good sign.

5. Do you practice other styles/have you tried other styles in the past?

I like to think I switch it up a bunch! I mean, these are pretty different, right?

I think I’ve mentioned this before but one thing I really took away from art school is that, for an illustrator at least, art style shouldn’t be consistent. Your greatest weapon is changing the aspects of your style based on the task, the emotions and message you want to illustrate etc. So depending on the project I’m working on, the fandom I’m drawing for, whether I want something to be funny or serious or dramatic, I’ll change things about my style all the time.

One thing I don’t rly post on here is really tight polished work and that’s because I do that for my day job haha. If you’re not paying me... I’m probably not gonna color in the lines.

6. What levels of artistic education have you had?

I have a whole ass diploma LOL. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. from the Rhode Island School of Design. And I had a great college experience tbh. Besides the student loans. 8. What is your favourite piece that you have done?

Well, obviously this is gonna change all the time and generally it’s gonna be my most recent piece LOL. So yeah, why the hell not. I’ll say it’s this one. I have a pretty short memory which I count as a blessing for an artist. I don’t dwell that long on older work and it keeps me moving forward.

10. What do you like most about your art?

I like that it’s something that only I would make! I had this thought fairly recently and I wrote it down in my sketchbook, it’s pretty cheesy and rambling but it felt revolutionary at the time:

So yeah. I like my art best when it’s the most me and for me. And I like it least when it feels like I’m just making something for social media or for other people’s expectations or whatever.

14. What do you like drawing the most?

Kids in baggy clothing are like my go-to LOL idk if that’s obvious. but also I like being challenged so lately I’ve really loved drawing multi-character compositions, environments, weird angles, etc.

oh i LOVE drawing the underside of shoes lol. And bandages. People that are kinda beat up.. I think it comes from getting a bunch of cuts all the time. I’m always patching myself up and I want to patch characters up too.

15. What do you like drawing the least?

mmm I try to find something to like in every drawing but lets see... I don’t like doing commissions of people’s dogs. Just because it’s normally like... a family friend and my mom volunteered me without my consent and I don’t even really know what they’re expecting me to draw and I don’t even get to meet the dog. Also I’m not that great at dog anatomy. Trying to learn though.

18. What is your purpose for drawing?

This could have a million answers! Uhhh to GIT GOOD??? But also to express myself... and also to make money... I mean it depends on what the drawing IS. I draw fanart mostly to connect to people in the fandom so if you ever see me drawing fanart please take it as like an open invitation to talk to me about the character haha. 

20. How would you rank your art? (poor, mediocre, good, etc.)

Good!!! I have a lot of self-confidence primarily born out of ignorance and a short attention span. If I don’t think too hard about how many other artists are mindblowingly unfathombly good... its easy to think I’m good too! LOL

In all seriousness though, I think the opinion a person has of their art is like a crazy balancing act, right? Like you have to think you suck enough to want to get better but also you have to think you’re good enough to not want to give up. I think we’re all walking that line, I know I am! But also I’m a glass half-full type of person so. Most of the time I feel good about it.

22. List at least one of your “artspirations.”

This is a good question because I’ve been trying and failing to put together one of those “influence map” memes for like a full month now. What’s giving me a hard time is I feel like none of these are actually really obvious “““influences”““ in my art? Like it’s hard to see a lot of them in the work I make...? But idk maybe you guys’ll see what I can’t.

And these are just a couple! God there’s so many more. I could talk about other artists for ages, from all different genres of art. Daumier, Rockwell like every illustrator out there, Dana Gibson, Alex Toth, Hiroshi Yoshida, a lot of the Brandywine School. Lots of current working artists too, Karl Kerschl, frikkin Masashi Kishimoto lol, Jake Wyatt, Richie Pope, Edouard Caplain, Matt Cook, Sachin Teng, - lots of big internet artists, Sophie Li, Freddy Carrasco, Milliofish, Angela Sung... like all my friends from art school too. I could just keep going but I’ll stop for now lol.

24. Do you have a shameful art past? (recolour sprite comics, tracing art, etc.)

I mean if that’s how we’re defining shameful?? sure LOL. It’s not sprite comics but I used to do pokemon sprite recolors all the time. And I used to trace manga panels and color them... Granted this was all when I was like under 12 yrs old so it’s not even embarrassing. Can you really call it shameful when a 7 year old wets the bed or whatever? Not really. In fact some of these are cool as fuck. Look

I think a lot of artists on social media talk about the struggle of making art but imo not enough people talk about the joy! Like I know it’s corny but. I really meant what I said at the beginning of that sketchbook about re-contextualizing art around process and progress > product and perfection. I think its super important..! The strength of messy, unfinished, and energetic art! For the feeling of it, for the love it!

so I've tried doing research about Johto before writing about her since I have little information about Johto.

Johto is based off from Japan (it's more eastern qualities) while Kanto was a more westernized Japan (if you watched Geisha, it shows the transition from Japan transitioning to more western style after the war.)

So the name Katsumi was given. I believe her name meaning is "eternal beauty" but I'm not sure.

If I were to describe Katsumi, she'd be a Ninetales or a Fox. She has this air about her that draws her in, it's soothing even. But as she battles, she's more two faced than she seems, being more mocking and maybe even animalistic than her kinder self.

She does restrain herself from her more dark side, because a common rule as a maiko and geisha, is to always look and be pretty to capture the attention of others.

Katsumi is based off from the Kimono Girls in Johto, the Kimono girls are actually Maiko's as they tie their obi's sash long while normal is tucked in or tied short (same with a Geisha's) however, in Pokemon, they don't wear heavy makeup that way they can battle appropriately while still maintaining looks.

Since I'm basing Katsumi from Maiko's, she learns various arts, from dance to music to cooking. And of course, even when away from Johto, she still practices dancing (she prefers dancing over music) which has caught several pokemons attention in the past.

Her Johto team consists of:

Lucario

Gyrados

And Chansey.

Her Galar team will be:

Gyrados (from her Johto team)

Eevee (who will evolve into Umbreon)

Deino (who evolves into zwelious then Hydregion)

Munchlax (evolves into Snorlax)

Kirlia (evolves into Gardevior)

And Puncham (evolves into Pangoro)

I won't disclose when she catches them (which will be in the story I'm writting) nor their abilities and move sets. I can tell you that Katsumi favors Dark Types.

Katsumi makes her first appearance in the Gym Battle Opening Ceremony! Her exotic looks catching many of the people's attention.

Having to fight the Yell team since they were blocking Budew Inn, she does her first official Pokemon Battle in Galar with her Gyrados who swept them away with Twister!

Katsumi calls out her pokemon rather eloquently. Like, "Let's dance amongst the water, Gyrados", Katsumi is a lover of drama and theatrics, so she likes to put on a show which is apart of her two faced-ness.

If I were to place Katsumi as a Game Character, she'd be an Easter Egg and a very Hidden Boss. The main Characters wouldn't be able to fight her unless level 100 as the final boss is also level 100, meaning she's far more challenging than she looks in the beginning.

You'd be able to fight her in the tournaments after becoming a Galar Champion (beating Leon) but because she makes rare appearances, it's hard to fight her. If Leon and Katsumi ever get matched up, it usually ends in either Katsumi winning or a draw depending on ALL of your Pokémon level. (All 100 = Katsumi winning)

Her relationships would mostly be the children of the house she moved to as a tenant (which is in the same place for the Opening Ceremony hence why she hasn't caught any other pokemon in Galar yet)

Katsumi prefers pokemon over people. People means maintaining herself to appear appropriately and having to be more polite than she wants to do to etiquette. While with pokemon, she can bond with them more easily through being herself (her more rougher side).

As for her league cards, she has two special league cards which is dependent on which version you're playing.

Sword version is her more wild side, showing her face during her battles (more on Leon or Raihan's battle since her face shows more during their fight)

Sword version notes: seeing the ever so gentle Johto girl being fierce to rival Raihan is an odd sight, but pleasant to finally see a crack in her ever so pretty mask.

Shield version gets her more softer side, showing her dancing in a field without knowing about the picture.

Shield version notes: A picture that was taken in secret, you can see how gentle she is with how she stands, the pokemon around her watching her still form. How can someone be this elegant?

Her normal League Card is just the standard card but she angles herself towards the left (our left mind you) with her head angled towards the camera with a serene smile.

As for her relationship with Raihan and Piers, Raihan was intrigued by her, knowing the Dragon Type master in Johto, and seeing her appear on Pokegram every once in awhile (until she got Kirlia) sends a shiver down his spine since he can sorta get a feeling that she's hiding more than she seems.

Piers never met her, but has heard of her from Team Yell and Marnie when they met up in Spikemuth. When Katsumi appeared herself, he nearly choked seeing a "Pretty lil' dainty thing in this dump". his words, not mine. But because Piers oh so happens to be a dark type gym leader, Katsumi had immediately grew attached to him which shocked a lot of people.

Katsumi, the goddess from eastern lands, paired with THE Piers? The shock was an understatement.

Piers did appreciate her adoration to dark type pokemon though. And her need to be on the same level as him in battle as it was the Johto way to be fair.

If we wanna dive into the romance interests then:

Raihan is absolutely clingy to Katsumi and always wants to fight her. It's his way showing how devoted he is to her by challenging her to fights often after training and resting. And he hopes Katsumi would notice. If we went into a more NSFW style, Raihan is the epitome of clinginess. Because he's so tall compared to Katsumi, he'd use his jacket and put it over her, forcing her to either poke her head out to see or to try and escape which ends up him wrapping his arms around her. And when he does capture her, Raihan would drag her to a more secluded area and start marking her neck with bites and hickies. If he gets REALLY worked up (specially after a battle against Katsumi) he'd take his coat off, wrap it around her, tie the sleeves and then sling her onto his shoulder and with his long ass legs, he'd be heading to his apartment.

For Piers, he's not really affectionate or seen as affectionate, but he would often be near Katsumi whenever they were both free. Whenever he is affectionate he'd wrap an arm or two around Katsumi and bring her closer to him. For NSFW, Piers would be slightly clingy, but not as bad as Raihan since Piers is busy with being an artist (music artist btw) and training Marnie to be a gym leader. But whenever they're together, Piers would be resting his head on Katsumi's shoulder or head depending on their sitting position. Anytime Katsumi gets a call or goes to escape somewhere, Piers would grab a hold of her chin and kiss her rather passionately, which would leave Katsumi breathless since Piers literally has a long tongue, and he uses it. If Katsumi is still out of it (or continues to try to escape), Piers would take her to his place or to the campsite.

Katsumi has long black hair which reaches to her lower back, having four beauty marks total on her face, two right below her right eye (our left), one below her left eye (our right) and one at the right corner of her lips (our left).

She has black eyes (whenever in an intense battle, her eyes darken with no highlight making her appear soulless but it just means her facade is cracking) and thick eyelashes, her lips are painted red on her bottom lip while the corners of her eyes are touched with a rouge since she is a Maiko Trainer.

(I made up that Kimono Girls are Maiko Trainers, meaning they wear less makeup and have a battle/formal kimono, a traveling kimono and sleep wear. Normal Maiko's wears the standard makeup and wears more formal kimono's. Maiko trainers require to wear a sort of eye shadow at the corner of their eyes in replacement for the lack of white makeup on their face, it is to signal other Maiko's what status they are. If they wear red/rogue eye shadow, then they are an advance/master maiko trainer. If blue, then they are an intermediate. If pink then they are a beginner. Maiko trainers also have to wear certain color palettes to signal what stage they are which often correlates to their eye shadow. Since Maiko's in general wear lighter colors, they wear pastels or just a light shade.)

Katsumi wears a light pink kimono that fades to a light red at the ends of her kimono. Her obi sash being a deeper red while her obiage is white. Her nagajuban is red as per tradition, her pocchuri buckle is silver flowers, while her okobo shoes still maintains the red straps and still contains bells in them.

Fun fact about Maiko's, Maiko's are usually 16-20 years old mainly because Maiko's would choose to marry around that age, while Geisha's would have to retire or runaway (depending on time period) to marry. Geisha's aren't allowed to have a spouse, the most they can have close to a spouse is an escort.

My mother is constantly saying that they is only two gender and is always dead naming me, the one time I get her to say my preferred name she rolls her eyes and scoffs as she says it.

My mother has told me my whole life that she owns me and that I don't get to make any decisions for myself, she was dressing me until I was disowned at 14.

My mother would threaten to k!ll herself is I ever did something she didn't like, this includes: having a panic attack, dealing with over stimulation, trying to dress myself, telling her to stop walking in on me while I was showering/changing, going to bed early, going to bed late, saying I was hungry, asking to be allowed to go outside, wearing my headphones, not being strictly christian/not eating kosher, ect.

My mother got rid of my pet hermit crabs without telling me and was constantly trying to release my turtles even though they would die in the wild and they were being taken care of very well with a large, clean tank and plenty of food and hiding places, a special light that was good for their shell, and a great water to land ratio.

My mother slut shamed me because I was wearing shorts that went above my knees (they were perfectly appropriate btw).

My mother would scream at me for hours if I got anything less than a 100% on a test and even if I did get a 100% she would ask me why I didn't get any extra credit even if there was none available and even if I'd did get extra credit she would ask why I didn't get MORE extra credit.

My mother nearly beat me to unconsciousness because she was very drunk, I had bruises all over me the next morning but I was to afraid to say anything because I new she would scream at me and hurt me more.

She molested me daily, forced me to change in front of her, forcefully spooned me in bed for hours even after I said no, and would "playfully" spank me.

I wasn't allowed to wear anything that revealed my shoulders, that was low cut, shower any part of my stomach or back, short that went above my knees, ect.

I wasn't allowed to get my hair cut below my chin because it " wasn't feminine enough"

I wasn't allowed to have anything that was "for boys" this included clothes, toys, books, stickers, blankets, posters, movies, ect.

She forced me to watch R rated movies with her even if I didn't feel comfortable watching them.

I wasn't allowed to have any friends over and I wasn't allowed to go to any friends house, the one time I did have friends over she judged all of them and tried me to stop hanging out with them after they left. My friends are all very good people and are the only reason I'm still alive rn, she was just mad that I was talking to people who weren't her.

She screamed at she because I got one (1) drop of dark green ink on her black coffee table that she got for free.

I wasn't allowed to draw any male characters because she was afraid I would get off to them or something idk (this was before I was forcefully outed)

She bought me a triple chocolate cake for my birthday once. I'm allergic to chocolate. She forgot my birthday the next year.

Anytime I would tell her about the terrible bullying that was going on she would tell me to get over it, even after I had been thrown to the ground and strangled by one of my classmates.

If I got into a new game or hobby she would either take it away or shame me for playing it.

She spent all day on the computer playing Sims 3 to the point where I had to feed myself, take care of myself, and play by myself as young as 5.

She screamed at me because while talking about Pokemon lore I mentioned how Arceus is the god of the Pokemon world and she said I shouldn't say that because it would "make god mad" ( I have nothing against christians or christianity btw, just the people who shove it down your throat like she does)

I wasn't allowed to eat or drink the last of anything (finishing a bag of chips, taking the last soda, ect.) If I did she would scream at me and slap me as punishment.

She threatened to forbid me form seeing my cousin (who for the first 11 years of my life was my only friend) if I ever "talked back" to her.

She wod frequently strangle me as a form of "tough love".

When I was 2 she tried to teach me how to swim by holding me under water over and over again, drowning is now one of my greatest fears. Luckily I did learn to swim with the help of cousin and granny and even enjoy swimming but it is hard for me to do things like wash my face in the shower or stay under water for more than a few seconds without panicking.

She never taught me how to cook but then would scream at me because I didn't know how to cook.

Her smoking inside and while driving has caused me to have some lung issues, she denies that she ever smoked near me.

She tried to take me away frome everyone in my life including my family and friends so that I could only spend time with her.

When I was in fifth grade she homeschooled me and forced me to do college lever reading, learn how to code, learn at least two other languages that weren't english, learn how to play guitar, do gymnastics, do jujitsu (japanese), do soccer, learn to sing (keep I mind I had no interest in music, but she did), do a digital homeschooling program set at a highschool level, and learn a bunch of useless skills like knot tying and making friendship bracelets because it was "feminine". This was in FIFTH FUCKING GRADE.

We didn't have a washer or dryer and she would never go to to town to get laundry done so I never had clean clothes.

If I had more that $10 I had to give the rest to her.

She tried to kidnap me once.

One time on accident I stood in a bull ant hill and got stung all over (if you don't know ants all sting at once), I was swollen all over and screaming in pain and she did nothing, not even give me ice or ointment, she just told me to be more careful.
