📚 = What sorts of books do the mun and muse like to read? Do they have a favorite author or book?

I used to be a huge reader. Usually I'd read fantasy or romance books. Things like the Unwanteds, The Story Thieves by James Riley, Harry Potter... But I didn't know bigger stories like Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson, or other famous stories like that. Despite loving to read, I was pretty picky with what I consumed, especially since a lot of books contain very... descriptive scenes of blood, war, and sometimes sex. And of course, my sensitive heart couldn't take such things, so I often judged books by their covers. If they weren't colorful or cute, and their descriptions or titles weren't appealing enough to me, I'd put them back on the shelf and move on. That being said, I do read a lot of manga and manhwa, though I'm careful about consuming those, too. Since they're graphic, I don't like when they're overly dark or bloody. But the art is incredible!

Sylvia is a more avid reader than I am. Her repertoire is wider, and she reads anything as long as it's relevant to what she's doing at the moment, since she loves to do research on things for her art or, in the case of Pokemon, case studies. Often Sylvia finds herself not knowing what's going on, so she relies on books to give her knowledge on what she's missing. In Fire Emblem, she has no memories, so she searches through Altean and Archanean history records to get the context of where she is and what's happening. In Pokemon, she documents and reads up on Pokemon as she meets them, expanding her understanding of their nuances and capabilities. In Persona 5, she dives deep into learning Japanese and its history, as well as learning more about phantom thieves in literature, since people online draw connections between the Phantom Thieves and their respective "representative" thieves (little do they know they actually are Personas).

In other words, Sylvia's more of a bookworm than I am. But I'd like to get where she is someday.

As for Jack, he's a theatre kid through and through. Usually, he doesn't read stories as much as he listens to them, and retells them orally, be it through his bardic endeavors in Fire Emblem (or any fantasy verse, really), or through dramatic retellings in Pokemon. Even in Pokemon, Jack has a penchant for the dramatic, and loves teasing and having fun. He has a strong memory, which makes him great as a backup actor in a pinch, because his improvisational skills are off the charts. So, for fun, he'd read theatre scripts, and on the side, some sci-fi novels here and there.

He does also absolutely read yaoi. My man desperately wants a boyfriend but can't get one smh

This just wasn't her day. Getting injured in PE, embarrassing herself in front of classmates, forgetting assignments... It wasn't like her to forget assignments. She always, always made sure to be as careful and punctual as she could. It was a miracle no one looked down on her for what she did.

It wasn't like it was the end of the world or anything, but every little inconvenience came closer and closer to setting off her waterworks. She grew more and more frustrated, especially with herself. Her failure was what caused this.

While she struggled to comfort herself, surrounded by people in Shibuya, she was surprised to find a familiar face among the crowd. Teddie seemed rather jolly today. Perhaps it was a bit selfish, but she was too stressed to care right now, and immediately made a beeline for him.

"Teddie! Teddie!" she called. The moment the bear turned around, she enveloped him in a tight hug. "Thank goodness you're here... I really needed this..."

Momina is someone who tries their best to get along with everyone! That said it doesn't always work for a number of reasons, partly because she is loud and excitable. But the person who she really struggled with was none other than Gokudera Hayato! As always, she tried to be friendly and open but, of course, Gokudera isn't one to accept that sort of treatment easily. He found her suspicious! And made snap judgements on her. Momina, kept trying but made sure to keep distance because she didn't want to make him uncomfortable until he accused her of stalking him! They're neighbours...something he found "convenient" which finally made Momina snap back. "Why the hell would I follow your weird ass!?" The reveal they were neighbours was also annoying for her due to his smoking! Her health issues worsened due to the smell coming into her apartment. That's when the bickering between them really started. That said, despite being quick to temper, Momina is also quick to calm down. She began noticing he doesn't eat properly so she decided to make a peace offering: making him a meal! Of course she asked if he had any allergies first and his response was "mind your fucking business" so she went "die, then" in her head and gave him some of the pasta she made. He didn't trust it until she ate some and then he devoured it. That's when their relationship began to improve as she took it upon herself to watch out and care for this troubling youth! [Yeah they're the same age except Momina really holds it over his head that she's 2 months and one day older. "As your elder--!" ] More time passes and they come to rely on each other a lot and are very [over]protective of one another. A summary of their relationship for you, dear! ✨️

Graveyard Rumors - @electricea

"Supposedly, the ghost that haunts Shujin's halls at night rests here, and becomes visible on foggy nights in October," Sylvia explained, lifting her flashlight to get a better view. The light reflected from the wispy clouds surrounding the dark graveyard, leaving a somber and eerie mood. "I say it's probably just someone visiting their loved one, but they can never be sure. The teachers got worried these rumors would scare other students or distract them from their classes, so they asked student council to look into it. Buuuut, then student council didn't want to, so I volunteered instead."

It seemed like a silly rumor, but the area was located near Aoyama-Itchome, which made a lot of people nervous with the upcoming spooky season. Sylvia was never a fan of Halloween because she got easily frightened by jump-scares from Halloween decorations, so thankfully, this Halloween was rather tame in comparison. Being in Japan, after all, it seemed the holiday wasn't celebrated nearly as fervently as in the United States, something she was actually grateful for.

Still, it seemed the Halloween spirit persisted in other ways, and even Ryuji, whom she had thought would have been a bit braver than her, seemed nervous.

She turned to him with a gentle smile.

"It's okay if you're scared, Ryucchan. You can hold my hand; I don't mind. Just remember, there are no ghosts." Despite what she said, a heavy weight pressed down on her conscience. Sneaking into a hallowed ground in the middle of the night wasn't exactly honorable. Or legal. But the school asked her to do it, so she had no choice. She prayed that if any spirits really did exist in this area, they would forgive her, and did her best to move as respectfully as possible.
