'We all die a little sometimes - it's alright.'
Sometimes Macaw has a moment of sudden self awareness. And sometimes - those moments when he has that clarity, he scares himself.

At the Mouth of Tartarus
Understood to be the deepest part of Hellmouth, Tartarus is unexplored and untouched by those on the surface. It’s believed that the first celestial body to have fallen resides there, presumably dead and feeding those willing to partake. Others believe the depths are so immeasurable that Tartarus is simply an opening into the cosmos. Leviathan lurk at the gaping mouth of this abyss as they guard the communion of the deep, having already received their blessings.

The humidity is awful to have to exist in, but it does make for some nice atmospheric lighting.

Had to wait until the end of episode 2 then my boy rolls into town along with a dramatic thunder storm looking as mean as fuck.
Shoujo Cosette 2007
Mini Review
So far I'm enjoying this adaptation even though it's done very differently to others especially the order of the story. But I understand this was aimed at younger people/kids so it's probably for the best they did it this way.
Madame Thenardier is enormious and Monsieur Thenardier is a bloody stick insect. Also Madame reminds me of Ursula from The Little Mermaid for some reason.
Infant Gavroche is cute, and the other little lad, Alain, cheeky little bugger but still adoptable.
Love Valjean so far (we're still in the Mayor Madeline era atm) but he's bodily very square. Love little Cosette she's very sweet and they have done the abuse/bullying of her by the Thenardiers, Eponine and Azelma very well without it being too much for kids/young people to watch.
One of the first things that got my attention about this adaptation is the artistry especially the buildings and backdrops. It's like looking at old oil paintings in the different scenes. It's lovely.
