(WARNING: Please read description before you do anything with this post)
REASONS WHY I LOVE THE MOVIE, DRAGON RIDER (aka FIREDRAKE THE SILVER DRAGON):
Tumblr media
- I like the character designs.
- The villain is pretty epic.
- It has an all-star cast, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Felicity Jones, Freddie Highmore, and Patrick Stewart.
- It has revived my interest in dragons and other fantastic creatures.
- I fell in love with the three main characters, Firedrake, Ben, and Sorrel.
- It has throwback magic.
- It is based on a book that was published in 1997.
- It is NOT a rip-off of "How to Train Your Dragon."
- I ship Ben and Sorrel.
- It helped me realize what I want to do for my future.
- It is similar to "The Land Before Time."
- I think Sorrel is super cute!
May you please give this movie a try, and let me know if you have seen it already or when you have, so we can start a fan base on it, please? And if you have seen the movie, please fave, or reblog this post. Thank you.

Could you do Elodie of Damsel who is saved by a dragon rider PLS
Y/N and Firestorm swoop into the cavern and land between Elodie and the dragon…
Y/N: stand down! This maiden is not part of the royal family.
Dragon: she wears a royal gown
Firestorm roars out an explanation in the draconic language…
Y/N helps Elodie to her feet…
Y/N: are you alright?
Elodie: (blushes) I am now
Dragon: deceivers! We must not allow their insolence to go unanswered!!
Elodie: do we have a truce then?
Both dragons roar in agreement…
Y/N takes Elodie’s hand, earning a smile from the maiden…

Rewatching HTTYD 2 and RTTE made me realize how badly they fucked everyone over in HTTYD 3. Like. Did they just look at all their character development and go “Yeah, we can flush this down the drain”, or

I can't stop thinking about how Astrid says to Hiccup "Figure out which side you're on", and a short while later, after bonding with Toothless, he goes to the cove with the full intent of running away with Toothless. He chose his side and it wasn't Berk or his father, it was Toothless, a dragon that he was taught to fear his entire life. It's really sad to think about the fact that Hiccup had been treated so terribly his whole life that he was going to run away with a dragon that he had known for maybe a month. And it didn't even seem like Hiccup had any difficulty choosing Toothless over Berk/Stoick

I love the concept of the dragons and riders being soulmates. They’re best friends, and they have found one another at last. It’s why I love how Hiccup assigned each of his friends a dragon based on a specific aesthetic. And I think I love the design choices for the second film, too. Main example is actually Hookfang & Snotlout and Hiccup & Toothless. The dragons each have additional bits of facial appendage (Hookfang on his chin and Toothless along his jaw “to show his age”) to mirror their riders’ own facial hair. So fucking neato.

Okay so I talk sometimes about wanting to watch someone react to the HTTYD shows for the first time and in case anyone else has that same problem I just wanted to tell everyone that there actually is a youtuber doing it on youtube rn, C BLOOM, which is really really awesome and the first person I've seen react to the shows so far. (He's partway through Defenders of Berk right now)

Chief of the Shivering Shores (HTTYD/Riders of Berk)
Hello, my fellow Furians! Welcome to another article for the HTTYD Fandom. Today’s topic will dive into an interesting scene of dialogue in “Dragon Flower” in Riders of Berk. In this one scene, we hear Stoick say this:
“I’m heading off to my yearly meeting with the Chief of the Shivering Shores...”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, the interesting thing about this is that this is literally the only mention of this “Chief of the Shivering Shores” fella in the entire franchise. Neither the rest of the DreamWorks Dragon series, nor Race to the Edge, nor the short films, nor the other films, not even the comics or video games ever mention this guy after this episode. The Shivering Shores is used as the setting for the comics and video games when it comes to dragon root and dragons and the like, but after “Dragon Flower” there is no more mention of the Chief of the Shivering Shores or the Tribe he heads.
Personally, I think this was rather stupid and bad writing. One shouldn’t introduce us to a character or a place that’s apparently “important” for the plot, and then never have them show up again. The guy literally was a straw-man plot-warmer whose only function was to get Stoick out of Berk so that the dragon flower incident would happen for THIS episode. And they had the audacity to make this guy sound like an important guy as well! Like, to the level of a jarl/earl or something. In writing, you NEVER introduce us to a person or place via mention or appearance unless they’ll be important to the plot later on. It’s just a waste of story and a plot hole.
Now, perhaps I might be a bit biased because I personally wanted to see this “Chief of the Shivering Shores” and see what the guy’s like. (I say this, but there’s no way I would’ve accepted him if he was in the comics or video games, since they’re inaccurate as catapults. XD) But oh well... I suppose I shall have to do it myself, eh? ^_^
Anyway, I’m digressing.
What’s really interesting to take note of is the only info — literally — we get on the Chief of the Shivering Shores is this:
“The last man who showed up without a gift left without a head.”
Tumblr media
I mean, this may be the only info we get, but this is probably the most important piece of info we will probably get on the guy. Why? Because this gives us some insight on the politics in HTTYD, as well as to the implied importance that this character holds, if only in the Inner Isles or the Western Archipelago.
Tumblr media
In HTTYD 2, Stoick mentions “a great gathering of chieftains” which was assembled to discuss the topic of the dragon scourge which plagued the Inner Isles/Western Archipelago. Essentially like the Assembly at the Thing, a historical gathering during Viking Times where Norse communities came together with markets and the like, and leaders discussed important topics and settled legal matters. Think of it like a combo of a festival, congress, and court system all at once.
In this case, this is probably purely just a gathering similar to an individual community’s Council of Elders, but with the gathering of Chieftains, with the possibility of their own Elders and Heirs attending as well. However, based on the events of Stoick’s story, it’s implied that it was just the Chieftains and they all died except for him, leaving the Heirs, which had remained unscathed, to pick up the mantles of their fathers’ chiefdoms and pick up their lives again. Obviously, Osvald the Agreeable wasn’t in this Gathering, since he died several years later after this event — either implicating that Osvald was unable to attend, or Berserker Island isn’t part of the Western Archipelago or Inner Isles (which, in fact, would be canon, since the Island of Berserk in the Books is in the Eastern side of the Archipelago).
Now, as to why what Stoick said in “Dragon Flower” concerning the Chief of the Shivering Shores is so significant is the fact that he was able to behead someone simply for not coming with a gift — and with no repercussions, at that — and that Stoick had to go to the annual meeting with the Chief of the Shivering Shores, as in actually go to the Shivering Shores at-location. And he does this annually!
“I’m off to my yearly meeting with the Chief of the Shivering Shores. The last man who came without a gift left without a head.”
From this, we know 2 things from the implications of this statement:
1) Vikings coming to the gathering are expected to come with a gift to present to the Chief of the Shivering Shores.
2) This gathering of chieftains happens every year, and is always held on the Shivering Shores.
With these two points, we can assume, then, that the Chief of the Shivering Shores must either be a High Chieftain, Jarl, or Petty King of the region, and holds a significant amount of power and influence in the political sphere of the Inner Isles/Western Archipelago. He would have to be in order for these meetings to always be held on the Shivering Shores AND to have the right to kill whomever he pleases if they don’t come with a gift or some other offense — to the effect of affecting other Chieftains, particularly Stoick, to take gifts with them when they travel to Shivering Shores.
Another reason to support this theory is the scene in the flashback we see in HTTYD 2 as Stoick tells his story with his encounter with Drago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Obviously the quality is rather blurry regardless, as it’s a flashback, and it’s difficult to see clearly, but the one detail we can see clearly is a bearded Viking sitting on an elaborately carved chair / throne of two dragon heads intertwined. When you compare the throne to the others in the rest of the cutscenes, you’ll notice that they’re not as elaborate as the one that one Viking is sitting.
Even Stoick’s throne is rather simple in nature compared to the “Dragon Throne”. Then there’s the dozen or so Vikings that are sitting on tables, though we can’t be certain whether they’re chieftains or retainers belonging to those chieftains. No details are said nor shown.
Regardless, this scene, if we take what we’ve gleaned from “Dragon Flower” and HTTYD 2 thus far, both in quotes and in scenes, we can make an educated guess/assumption that the Viking in that elaborate throne might possibly be the Chief of the Shivering Shores.
Due to this, I headcanon that the Chief of the Shivering Shores rules over either the Inner Isles or the Western Archipelago, and the other chieftains are his subordinates. Or, at the very least, has enough strength, influence, power, and charisma to cause other chieftains to defer to him as an authority-figure. Because there is no way in Helheim that he can decapitate a man for not bringing a gift without retribution unless he’s a powerful authority-figure who can get away with it.
I also headcanon that the reason — or one of the reasons — for the gift-giving is as a security measure. Since Drago came along and killed all the chieftains at the gathering 10 or so years before, and with dragons no less, and did all of this without presenting any gifts, it’s obvious that from now on, anyone who comes without a gift is obviously a spy working for Drago, and thus should be eliminated. And the others, who also lost their predecessors, would mostly likely agree to this, not wanting a repeat of what happened last time.
There’s also the possibility that the Chief of the Shivering Shores knows about Berk living with dragons, since Stoick was able to fly to the Shivering Shores and back on Thornado unscathed, without any Vikings trying to kill them. Though, whether this means that they know and accept (or tolerate) this or Stoick hid Thornado and kept the fact that he flew to the Shivering Shores on a dragon a secret will never be known. Though I’m not sure how he’d be able to do so without anyone raises a few eyebrows. But whatever. I guess it’s up to us to decide on what happened there.
Anyway, that’s all I have to say about the Chief of the Shivering Shores. I had a fun time writing this article and I hope you enjoyed it, too. Thank you for reading. ^_^
What do you guys think? Who do you think the Chief of the Shivering Shores is as a character? Do you agree with what’s written in this article, or do you have a separate idea of what he’s like?
If you have any theories, headcanons, ideas, etc, concerning the Chief of the Shivering Shores, please reblog and give us your two-pence. ^_^
See you in the next article! Have a marvelous New Year!
Long Live the Night!

Firedrake the Silver Dragon (2020)
Tumblr media
Firedrake the Silver Dragon a.k.a. Dragon Rider may have good intentions and serve as passable entertainment for young children but I can’t recommend it. Any way you look at this film, it’s just an inferior version of How to Train Your Dragon. Even it knows this, which is why it makes direct references to the 2010 DreamWorks production.
Ages ago, the world’s dragons were forced into hiding. As mankind approaches their home in the wilderness, Firedrake (voiced by Thomas Brodie-Sangster) and his friend, a forest brownie named Sorrell (Felicity Jones), decide to go searching for the legendary “Rim of Heaven”, where all winged firebreathers will be safe. Mistaking a common thief named Ben (Freddie Highmore) for the fabled “dragon rider”, they have no idea that Nettlebrand (Patrick Stewart), a mechanical dragon-eating monster, is on their trail.
The creatures in How to Train Your Dragon all looked unique when compared to every dragon we’d seen before and to each other. The ones in Firedrake are completely forgettable. They might as well be stock assets they’re so bland. It’s not necessarily a damnable flaw. In cases like this, I always go back to Hoodwinked, which looks super cheap but made up for it with songs, humor and a clever story. "Firedrake" is a wet noodle of a film not because of the passable-at-best visuals. It's the screenplay that makes it fall out of the sky like a parachute made of cement. The villain, for instance. He sucks. Nettlebrand is never intimidating. He’s an utter buffoon that any protagonist who was worth their weight in bricks would overcome effortlessly. The fact that Firedrake can't makes you angry.
I don’t want this whole review spent comparing this film to How to Train Your Dragon but it can’t be helped. Maybe director Tomer Eshed is a big fan of DreamWorks and they wanted to pay homage. Maybe they knew the comparisons would be made by audiences so they decided to roll with it. Whatever the reason, there is a movie-within-the-movie called Dragon Rider and when you see the billboards for it, they are basically stand-ins for “How to Train Your Dragon”, complete with the same font. It’s been modified since we first saw the "Easter Egg" in the trailer but in the movie itself, it’s still unmistakeable. We get another reference later when we see a bootleg of Scrat from Ice Age frozen in a glacier. These references are so glaring it’s kind of funny in a way but at best, they are temporary distractions from the profound boredom you will feel.
None of the characters have anything resembling depth and the jokes are lame. The gags are so bottom-of-the-barrel that most of them don’t even make sense under scrutiny. Nettlebrand is on a dating app that allows its users the option of enhancing their photos. Wouldn’t that just lead to loads of bad dates? and yes, I know it’s a gag and isn’t meant to be taken seriously, but it isn’t funny so why should I give it a pass?
I guarantee that even if you see Firedrake the Silver Dragon “for free” on a streaming platform and make it all the way to the end credit scene that brings back the most unfunny of all the unfunny characters we encounter on this global adventure, you won’t remember this picture down the line. To me, that makes it worse than if it left audiences angry. Seeing "the worst movie ever" makes for a good story. This? It’s just diet water. (April 15, 2022)

Alicent and Criston have every right to be together.
I’ve read a lot of posts regarding their non-existent hypocrisy and I’d like to clear some things up.
First and foremost, stop using Alicent’s “Where is duty, where is sacrifice?” line against her or Nyra’s outrageous “Exhausting, wasn’t it?” speech because you think you’re eating when you’re, in fact, starving. Alicent has done her duty and sacrificed herself. It’s the only thing she’s been doing for the past 20 years. She gave the man she was forced to marry four children and she took care of him despite all the shit he put her through. She has lived all her life based on her principles and now her husband is gone. She mourned him, she buried him, it’s been more than 10 days since his death (confirmed that E1 S2 takes place 10 days after Lucerys’ death) and she is finally fucking free. She deserves a sliver of comfort. Alicent is the only one in this series that’s been faithful and dutiful to a T, yet look where that got her. If someone has the right to break the law a little bit, it’s definitely her.
That being said, I don’t know when it was decided that Alicent is a pious saint that can do no wrong, but I need to remind y’all that following a religion does not magically prevent you from sinning. Is she committing fornication? Obviously. However, you are all under this impression that this is hypocritical on her behalf because she berated Rhaenyra for it when they were younger, without considering that her anger was justified for a myriad of other reasons, such as (but not limited to): 1) the fact that Rhaenyra’s freedom to marry whomever she pleased was a privilege granted to her thanks to Alicent’s efforts, who supported her even if Rhaenyra hated her, yet her friend casually threw that away, 2) the fact that Rhaenyra lied to her by swearing on her morher’s grave and never even mentioned Criston, 3) the fact that Rhaenyra had the guts to call her “sister” while lying to her face, 4) the fact that her lies resulted in Otto getting fired since Rhaenyra misled Alicent so that she speaks to Viserys in favour of her friend and betraying her own father by siding against him (a decision she wouldn’t have made if she knew the truth), leaving her completely alone and friendless at court, even if he was right all along and finally 5) the fact that Rhaenyra is the most sought after bachelorette in the whole world and by having sex she undermines herself (Rhaenyra knows this well, hence why she denies these accusations) and literally endangers herself, because had she been married to any other man but Laenor and had this man found out his wife and future queen is not a virgin, imagine the fucking horrors she could have been subjected to. Like, I hate to break it to you, but a 40-year-old widow, who’s had four kids and has completed her duty to the point where she is actually no longer needed and could leave the palace to go live the rest of her life in peace somewhere else and no one would notice her absence (literally though, she has birthed heirs, her husband is dead, her son is a grown adult king, her job is done there), having sex, is not the same as an 18-year-old princess and future heir in her prime, whose purity is linked to her worth, getting caught drunk in a brothel, hooking up with her uncle and losing her virginity to her guard, all in one night. Viserys himself was outraged. There’s lows and then there’s lows, y’all.
By the way, the crazy assumptions that Alicent has been cheating on Viserys with Criston for a while now need to stop. When Olivia Cooke said that they had filmed a messy sex scene with Fabien Frankel in a recent interview, she never said this was for S1 of HOTD. I don’t know where y’all got that from, but even if it was true, that scene has been scrapped so it is not canon. And don’t make me laugh about Daeron, a dragon rider who canonically has Valyrian features, potentially having brown hair. You’re all so blinded by your hatred for Alicent that you want her to be a lying hypocrite in order to make yourselves feel better about Rhaenyra’s mishaps, that you don’t get that the whole point of her and Criston getting physical is that she is a tortured woman who is finally able to break free, not that she has been a hypocrite all along. You’re heavily misunderstanding her arc.
Finally, when it comes to my good man Criston, y’all have lost it completely. No, Alicent is not raping him, unless he tells her to stop and she closes the door behind her like Rhaenyra did that is. No, Criston did not lie about how important his honour is to him. There’s a whole article on how Clare Kilner, the director of E4 S1, decided that Cole removing his armour slowly was necessary because it symbolises his inner conflict and uncertainty over breaking his vow: should he soil his cloak for the sake of the woman he loves? And he does soil it, because he thinks she loves him back. But that honourable man dies the day Rhaenyra tells him that he’ll never be anything more than a side piece to her. This man stops giving a flying fuck about his honour, oath, position and life. He is trying to kill himself. And you know what stops him? Alicent. Alicent is the only thing between him and death, the only person to show him kindness and understanding, to pull him up from the lowest point in his life. I don’t think you heard Alicent in E7 S1: “No, you’re sworn to me!”. Y’all. His life is hers. He doesn’t care about Rhaenyra, his job, Viserys, anyone else at this point. Only Alicent exists in his mind, Fabien himself has said time and time again that his loyalty to her is unwavering. He only exists for Alicent’s sake. He’s who you wish Daemon was. Crying that “Criston is a bad knight and a liar because he broke his chastity oath yet again!” is so pointless because that knight has been dead since Rhaenyra’s marriage to Laenor. What does an oath mean when you find out the people you swore it to have betrayed you? Why should he keep his promise to the people who abused him?

Let's clear things up once and for all. The real canon is the books written by GRRM. George may have sold his soul to HBO, but HOTD is still nothing more than poorly written by Ryan and Sara fanfiction. The events that take place in the show are not truly canon. This is more like a filmed AU fanfic.
The real canon is:
Viserys loved Alicent.
Alicent and Rhaenyra were not friends.
Alicent was eighteen years old when she married Viserys. Viserys was not yet thirty at the time.
Helaena is not a dreamer.
Aegon the Usurper is not a depressed boy who was disliked by his parents.
Mysaria and Daemon had a child together who died before he was born.
Criston did not have sex with Rhaenyra or Alicent.
Laena was twenty-two years old when she married Daemon.
In order to become a dragon rider you need to have Valyrian blood in your veins.
Whether Daemon cheated on Rhaenyra or not, he never tried to usurp her or scheme behind her back.
Killing Luke and killing Jaehaerys were not misunderstandings or accidents.
When the war began, the people of the Riverlands immediately supported Rhaenyra, except for the Tully and Brackens. But the Tully were initially neutral, and then supported Rhaenyra, and the Brackens were looking for a reason to fight the Blackwoods.
Corlys eldest illegitimate son is Addam, not Alyn.
Vaemond is Corlys nephew, not his brother.
Rhaena Targaryen's dragon is the Morning, not the Sheepstealer.
Alys charms had no effect on Daemon.
Rhaenys Targaryen has black hair. Rhaenys was not present at the coronation of the Usurper, and she was the one who proposed to attack the capital with all the dragons that the Blacks have.
Daemon really killed Laenor.
After his wedding to Rhaenyra, Laenor lived almost all time in Driftmark.
Daenerys's dragon eggs were laid by Dreamfire, not Syrax.
The marriage of Laenor and Rhaenyra lasted six years, and Rhaenyra and Daemon ten years.
Daemon didn't kill Rhea.
Rhaenyra was never cheated on Daemon.
And as a special aside, Jaehaera Targaryen died before she was ten years old. She and Aegon III have no children together. And Daenerys Targaryen is not a descendant of Aegon III, but his younger brother Viserys II. I'm writing this because at least forty green fans of the show wrote to me who were smart enough to Google that the war would end with the marriage of Aegon and Jaehaera, but not smart enough to Google what would happen after.

Cannibal hiding reader with his tail Reminds me of HTTYD Second film with Toothles moves his tail to protect Hiccup, such a cutie!! And he is like a overprotective dog but also a cat tbh.
He totally can see the not pure intentions towards him and reader!! In my opinion i believe he would not engage in the war unless Reader asks him too and even at that Point he would do the minum and make sure to protect reader.
No one matters, just reader!!
Cannibal doesn’t care if anyone’s else dies in the war, he just wants him and reader to be left alone but knows that nearly impossible, so he’ll keep reader at a safe distance from those who want to use them as an asset for war.
He’s not about that life. He’s finally found his rider and he be damned if the realm plunged them into war for a -in his mind- selfish, entitled, narcissistic, vile house known as house Targaryen.
Also I like the idea that cannibal hates anyone who’s from any house that is a direct descent from those of Old Valyria, he doesn’t want anything to do with those incest dragon fuckers. He wants a normal rider.
And even if the realm forced Cannbial to partake in the war, he’d only protect reader like you said, he doesn’t care if Rhaenyra or Aegon dies cuz as long as reader is alive and well, he’s a happy dragon.
Also god forbid anyone hurts reader, may the old gods and the new have mercy on their soul.

In fact, if you forget all these jokes about bilingual Sunfyre, this whole situation once again shows how incompetent the screenwriters are. They literally don't understand how the world they're filming the show about works, what the rules there are. They tell us that the rider doesn't know Valyrian, but then the dragon shouldn't obey him. However, Sunfyre is a very obedient boy, and what does that mean then? Either he has such a strong connection with Aegon that he understands him without words, or Aegon taught him English. Both options show Aegon as cool, and like what??? The creators of HOTD aren't serious people.

I'm trying to count how many times Hiccup is captured/kidnapped throughout both series, the movies and the short films, so here's my criteria:
Any time he is unwillingly moved from one location to another by a dragon, viking or other character.
This includes any dragons picking him up and flying off somewhere, even if he is okay with it later.
This does not include when Toothless/his friends drag him off to show him something.
Any situation that prompted the dragon riders to rescue him.
Any plans that involved him giving himself up or joining up with a villain/antagonist.
This does not include the time he and Dagur were trapped on that island together.
Any time he is tied up and led somewhere or locked up/held in place with a guard.
Here is the list of situations I have compiled in (hopefully) chronological order:
HTTYD
Congratulations, no captures or kidnappings.
GIFT OF THE NIGHT FURY
When Meatlug (accidentally) brings Hiccup along to the Rookery.
RIDERS OF BERK
S1E6 - Hiccup gets taken to Dragon Island.
S1E16 - Hiccup is captured by the Outcasts on their island.
S1E19 - Alvin Captures Hiccup and Toothless at the "Isle of Night".
DEFENDERS OF BERK
S1E20 - Hiccup gives himself up to Dagur as part of his plan with Alvin.
RACE TO THE EDGE
S1E1 - the Dragon Riders get captured by Daugr on a hunter ship.
S1E7 -The twins put him in prison (this one's just here because I think it's funny).
S2E6 - The Dragon Hunters capture him.
S2E11 - The Dragon Riders get captured trying to save the Skrill.
S3E1 - Hiccup is captured by Dragon Hunters while trapped on an island with Dagur.
S3E8 - Hiccup and Toothless get caught in a Dragon Hunter Trap and are kidnapped and forced to participate in dragon fights.
S3E12 - Viggo captures all the Dragon Riders at the auction.
S3E13 - The Defenders of the Wing capture the Dragon Riders.
S4E3 - First Hiccup is caught by Amos and Berthel.
S4E3 - Then he's caught by Savage.
S4E3 - Then Krogan gets him after Throk saves him.
S4E3 - Ryker captures him for the tiniest bit right before the riders arrive.
S4E10 - Hiccup is caught with Ruffnut when he tries to rescue her from Viggo's trap. Unlike the other traps, he needs the other dragon riders to rescue them.
S5E2 - The Sandbuster captures Hiccup and Snotlout.
S6E8 - Viggo hands Hiccup over to Krogan as part of their plan.
HTTYD 2
Valka kidnaps Hiccup and Toothless.
HTTYD 3
Grimmel captures the dragon riders.
HOMECOMING
Once again, no captures of kidnappings
Up For Debate:
There are a few situations which technically fit the criteria, but I'm not sure if they fit considering the context of the show:
S5E5 - the riders are stuck on Vanaheim, guarded by the Sentinels. (Rtte)
S1E3 - This is a technicality, but when Hiccup joins up with Dagur to keep him away from the other dragons. (Dob)
EDIT: I forgot that even though my criteria says that the time Dagur and Hiccup are trapped on that island together (S3E1 of RTTE) doesn't count, because he is joining up with an (at the time) antagonist, there is a moment when Hiccup is captured by Dragon Hunters near the end of the episode.
After careful discussion (aka me ranting at my roommate) S4E10 of RTTE is also moving from "up for debate" to the official list. These changes are reflected above.
This brings our official count to 22 captures/kidnappings!
Honestly, the hardest part about this was finding the distinction between being captured or being trapped and what I wanted to count. When Hiccup isn't captured, he spends a lot of time in traps.
