Also, considering the fact that two of them are described as physically similar to the Count, some have suggested they're his sisters, daughters, or otherwise blood-related. And I agree. That makes more sense.

Fun Fact for new readers: The vampire women are never referred to by the book as “brides”—the whole “Brides of Dracula” name for them doesn’t show up until a good 3+ decades later.

That being considered, I invite you to conceptualize them as Dracula’s Roommates with me, who refuse to do any chores and keep trying to eat his food out of the fridge.

My roommate are really starting to get on my nerves, I've told them multiple times now that he's my food that I specially ordered but their welcome to the leftovers when I'm gone, they they are still trying to eat him! How rude is that?!

I recall that the blond one had a bigger tomb than the rest, so I think that the blond one is his wife and the other two are their daughters.

They are not Dracula's wives in canon. They are more likely his children.

Yes that's true they could definitely be his children probably vampiric rather than when he was human. Joanthan does call them the weird sisters! I can't seem to break the habit of referring to them as his wives for some reason even though I think it's definitely more of an adaptation thing.

I think the women being his children (blood related or not) would add an interesting dynamic to Dracula's character. If he turned them why and why did he then keep them around? I think he has a deep loneliness to him even though he seems to care only about being on top. How his need for connection conflicts with his need for control and domination. He also keeps Jonathan longer than he might prove useful after all which we can theorize a lot on why he does so.

The women by this point clearly don't care for him much although they do obey him to a certian extent. I love that they aren't cowed by Dracula the blonde laughs in his face! They have so little in the book dedicated to them that their backstories and relation to Dracula is is wide open for interpretation I think.

The reason she wasn't in the set of bat doodles with the others was because that was for a bad ending AU I have where they failed to kill Dracula at the end and got turned and Lucy at that point is doubly-dead, so she's not currently in that story.

Him being excited about working his first real case for Mr. Hawkins but also feeling nervous and Mina telling him it's going to be okay and reminding him of how capable he is... Mina helping him choose what to pack... Jonathan saying goodbye to her and to Hawkins before getting on the train to Munich... i am not okay
