I feel like Percy ultimately falls into the trap that many main characters in shows and books do where they get blamed for every little thing, even though they literally have/had no control over the situation or reacted in a way that, to fans, who sometimes have more knowledge than them, didn't like even though in the moment it makes sense. Don't even get me started on when you start adding side characters, because then that really gets the fandom going on trying to find ways to hate the main character for no reason, it's wild (eg. So uh. How are you going to do Draco in this AU? His Dragon rider form specifically. (Also I realized that in this AU, being named 'Draco' is probably the same as being named 'Boy' (I have two uncles named that...))

At the moment, I'm not exactly sure 🤔 I've settled on a few possible contenders, but I really don't know since Draco is such a specific case of a brawler that's literally a dragon rider?? However! I have 3 possible ideas:

Draco could be a hybrid / half humanoid who rides a more primal dragon. This is unlikely, though, as this feels too... hm. It's too different to what I want my AU to be.

Another option is that Draco is a classic wyvern (based on his canon dragon companion), which then transforms into a hydra (3 headed dragon) during his super transformation. This is possible, but I need to think more about how the actual transformation would work. Genetic? By magic? A facade via some inflatable / enchanted object 🤔🤔 Alternatively, he could just transform into a larger dragon that looks like his mount rather than a full scale hydra.

My current favourite idea is simply a dragon riding a dragon. Again, being that primal "summon" that he brings into battle similarly to Nita and Bruce. However, instead of a spirit summon that's connected to his being, it's more like a tamed animal. At the moment, this one is my top contender 👀👀 I do need to flesh out how exactly it could work, but I'll do that slowly along with everything else 🙏🙏

i think that with dracos early friendship with harry and being reluctantly surrounded by people who dont believe in blood purity will atleast kickstart his doubts at the things hes been taught, esp when he has way more context at harrys background than what he had in canon

for harry i wanted him to be in slytherin cuz i believe in the sorting hat when it said that he wouldve done well in slytherin, in a case of hed have a better way of understanding people who have wildly different beliefs than him, as well as learning how to deal with people who are not outright honest. hed have the reputation of being a reckless slytherin, but being in the house does help him to not immediately follow his knee jerk reaction. and also cuz i want his relationship with snape to be confusing af LOL but theres more understanding bw them than if harry was just in gryffindor

bottom left edge (flowers): these are lilies. partly to complete the circle of mothers saving sons saving the world, and partly because i wanted to fill space. (theyre fucking terrible to draw tho i do not recommend)

bottom left (hand in hair): well harrys hair is very luxurious as you can see and i imagine during cuddles draco cards his hand through it and teases out snarls and such. (i know hair pulling is something that can be seen as sexual, this isnt that and it isnt meant to be that and please dont see it as that :(

bottom right (shoes): just a subtle way they can touch, not always big. just under the table or sitting on the sofa together, just to feel the other person there.

i knew i wanted a warm scheme and i knew i wanted orange and blue to play a big part in this. i was going to have warm colours on blue and cool colours on orange as a sort of contrast but that didnt end up working out.. the wand scene is an attempt at it except i mixed it up and made it cool on cool, its so washed out and i didnt bother to fix it

Mattheo and I started dating about 3 months ago. Athough I was a slytherin I didn't really talk to his group until Mattheo introduced me to them, I clicked with them, specially with Pansy. There was a small gathering going on at Draco and Blaise's dorm. Pansy and I were walking there, both of us carrying some snacks and stuff that we were probably going to need. When she lifted up her hand to knock on the door the blanket she was carrying fell, we giggled a little both of us mentally noting that it probably wasn't a good idea to preparty before this. As our giggling died down my ears perked up at the muffled sound of my name. After a few moments of silence which appeared to be confusion the convesation went on.

"Did you do it?" Theo asked him.

"I can't pick the blanket up-" Pansy interrupted. I quietly put my finger to my mouth telling her to be quiet.

"Did you sleep with her?" I couldn't recognize the voice this time.

A few seconds went on and I could only assume Mattheo nodded before they started cheering.

"She was a virgin, that's what made her so easy"

"You just earned yourself 5 more galleons" Someone else said in between laughs.

I didn't need to hear more to understand what was going on. I felt the alcohol drain out of me in a second. Was this true? Was I only a bet to him?

I heard how coins were passed around before Mattheo chuckled.

"That pussy was worth bearing her for 3 months"

I froze, I don't know for how long. Everything around me started spinning. I felt how a tear lightly ran down my cheek, followed by many more. Lifting my hand up to wipe them away a bottle fell from my grasp, shattering on the ground. I felt disgusted, weak, vulnerable, my knees felt weak, giving in I fell onto the ground with a thud, making some glass shard dig into the thin skin of them. A few moments later a streak of dim light replaced the hallway's darkness, making me look up directly into Draco's stare. The tears in my eyes indicating I heard everything.

"How long have you been there?"

I looked down at the broken glass, only now noticing how the alcohol and my blood were slowly mixing on the floor and the burning on my knees, feeling dead inside. I blinked a few times making a few tears fall directly onto my lap. I could hear my name being called in the far distance and two hands suddenly holding onto my shoulders. I looked up, I looked up directly into the eyes that I fell in love with, the eyes that shined whenever they saw me, the eyes that talked me through my first time, the eyes that told me they loved me, the eyes that betrayed me. There he was, kneeling right in front of me and all I could see was how all he ever did was lie to me.

"You're not who I thought you were"

I put my hands on the ground, some other pieces burrying themselfs into my skin and pushed myself off of the ground. Feeling heavy I took a step, almost falling in the process, I felt like my heart was just ripped out of my chest, after that much more steps were followed, turning into a sprint to my dorm. I locked myself and let all of my emotions flow. His words replaying in my head in a loop. I slowly felt my eyelids grow heavy, comforting myself while the tears and blood slowly dried, drifitng away on the floor.

I don't remember much after that, only the void he left. I trusted him. I thought he was different. And now I knew I was a fool for ever thinking so greatly of him.
