DR s3 predictions 💪 (contains s2p2 spoilers)

First of all. I’m so so excited for Ras manipulating Arin… i want my boy to be some sort of okay in the end, but narratively ohhh this is gonna get SO interesting im so so so so exciteddd… right now, Arin only intends to use Ras to find his parents. But I can definitely see Ras holding this information out of reach for as long as it takes to convince Arin of all sorts of fucked up shit. And Arin won’t be able to do shit about it even if he realizes he’s being toyed with, because of my favorite thing abt Ras as a villain: he is fucking Ruthless.

Although, I’m not 100% on Ras even knowing where Arin’s parents are. I don’t really buy the whole “anything Jay Walker knows, i know” thing. It’s entirely possible that IS true though. Ras is pretty decent at covering his bases. WHETHER OR NOT RAS KNOWS, though, won’t matter. Bc he can clearly be pretty convincing. And this is something Arin is extremely desperate about.

I feel like Arin will spend a lot of time (like, perhaps all of next season or even longer) grappling with the idea of helping Ras reverse the merge. There’s no way doing that will end well (since overarching themes have been unity and coping with change) but I love when characters fruitlessly reach for a past they can’t return to. I hope he gets to meet different people that give him different perspectives on the merge— some people who’ve had a rough time adjusting and have lost a lot (paralleling Arin) and people who have been okay with or even benefitted from it (paralleling Sora). I hope it helps him make the right decisions when it comes right down to it.

I wonder if they will show Sora’s grief. I hope they do because hourhrhghrrhghhghgrheghregrvrhegrgehgegrhehegrhrghgrgrhgghhhhhhhhrgrrhgrhgh. I mean because hhrgrgjeghhghrgg. I mean. Because yes he’s not dead but she would have no idea if she’ll EVER see him again at this point. This probably felt relatively out of the blue for her. The last interaction they had was a fight. Ohhhgghghhrgghh. Oh god. Listen. My roommate and I are tight as fuck. We are Sora and Arin for real. It has hurt both of us so much being apart from eachother this summer. And we only lived with each other for 1 school year. ARIN AND SORA HAVE BEEN INSEPARABLE FOR MULTIPLE YEARS, YEAR-ROUND. She’s got to be dying. She’s got to be feeling like he’s dead. She wants him back… it literally makes my chest physically hurt to think about. She doesn’t remember how to go about her day without him around. And vice versa for Arin honestly. Urggrghhgg i know it’s not that deep i know she doesn’t like Need him to survive she’s her own person and it’s not like she can’t stand alone as a character . And they aren’t genuinely codependent (im not trying to make it out like they are. I hope i never come across that way) they’re just. They belong together ok

I have Arin brainrot so most of my thoughts are Arin-centric as yall can see but. What ever (i also have more shit bouncing around my brain than this but this post is already long enough)

This is why a lot of us were pissed off about what happened in Singapore. Charles agreed to play second fiddle because he felt he didn't do as well as he could've in qualifying and the polesitter should get the preferential strategy/teammate protection. He went off and worked to find a solution and qualified on pole in Austin and still somehow ends up with this impossible strategy and gets team ordered out of his teammate's way after the pitwall fumbled his race with their decisions. When even pole isn't enough to secure those privileges, that's just demotivating and insulting.

AHHHSHFBTKFNTLFKGNFMDM SONIC 3 TRAILER SONIC 3 TRAILER SONIC 3 TRAILER IM LOOSING MY SHIT RN

here’s some things i noticed/wondered/loved:

- i think in that scene where tom is on the ground yelling for sonic, he is wearing a special forces suit. maybe he upgraded from cop to working with gun?? if so i think that’s a really good use of his character actually! he wanted to save a life and raise a family above all else yes, but he still got his previous dream of doing more serious cop work!

- shadow just. has a big ass portal?? like holy shit he’s just suckin the life outta earth and ig that’s one way to do it (or maybe it’s just a ring and i’m stupid idek)

- i’m sure we’ll learn more about this in the actual movie so i’m not too worried, but i’m super confused at the very beginning scene. apparently sonic didn’t change his heart…but he did tho? like he learned what being a true hero meant in the last movie. tbh i feel like that’s enough but hey i’m not against more character development for our boy so!! (also that bit where he’s like “in my lungs” was actually really funny to me, ben schwartz’ awesome delivery caught me off guard)

- GERALD ROBOTNIK ALIVE HUUUUH?! tbh i would’ve preferred if maria was alive, i feel like that would be an interesting dynamic. but also ig that would make it harder for shadow to learn anything so i totally get it. anyways i’m just glad they’re putting a little twist on the story, it keeps it interesting. they already sorta did that with the knuckles and iblis thing actually! (even if that show sucked ass and although that probably wasn’t intentional 😭)

- even tho bro only got like… 3 lines, i really think keanu fits shadow. he’s very soft spoken in comparison to the rest of the case which feels nice. also he’s like the “really bad” guy so ofc he’s not gonna be yappin on and on like sonic or robotnik and he’s gonna take things uber seriously.

- where was my girl maddie :( i think she was only in like a singular frame. hope shes in the movie a somewhat significant amount. i heart pretzel lady!! could live without wade tho like pls im so sick of his bowling soap opera 💀

- FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK FAT ROBOTNIK!!! after fucking 3 movies they finally fulfilled jim carrey’s wishes!! let the man get creative like please i love jim carrey sm aughdfhfnfmschxj. also love how we got so much stobonik content within that short scene like jesus come get y’all’s food

- shadow at one point says something along the lines of “when we’re done, there won’t be anything left.” maybe i’m reading WAY to into this but what does the “we’re” part mean?? is he working with others? i feel like this is either gonna be team dark or some new movie exclusive character(s). edit: someone made a valid point that he’s actually probably referring to gerald (look at reblogs!)

-CHAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lowkey wonder if the room therye in is like an amusement park or somethin like that

- no sign of amy :( but honestly my prediction now is that she’s gonna be the post credit scene teaser cus they always do a new character reveal there. first tails, then shadow. and honestly now i think it might be better that way so shadow can have a chance to breathe and show his story in full. i’m pretty sure i vaguely remember colleen (tails’ VA) being kinda mysterious about amy’s appearance when asked, and also the fact that it was confirmed that this isn’t the end of the movie franchise/universe. but ig we’ll just have to wait and see!

so sorry i stated this yesterday morning to give my initial thoughts but then got busy and completely forgot to post/finish it. and today i started (and am close to finishing) a very long edit of the trailer, so be on the look out for that too!

genuinely i feel like this movie is gonna somehow be even more record breaking than any of the previous movies and i am so here for the hype 🙏

Aventurine's Next Appearance Post-Penacony

You know, I honestly don't need a lot. I don't need him to be a main character in the next few arcs. I don't need him to even be tangentially plot relevant.

All my little Ratiorine-loving heart needs is a single tiny cameo. Maybe just a few small mentions...

We get to Amphoreus. Trailblazer's enjoying the beautiful scenery. Dr. Ratio is showing us around hell, even if it's not his planet, he's just there randomly. Dude drops the Hoyo classic for signaling he's not alone: "Ah, if only my home were this quiet presently. I've quite missed the sensation of serenity."

Astral Express family is confused. Ratio does not elaborate.

Later, in the background of a totally unrelated scene, Aventurine just randomly strolls through. It's obvious he's living his best life. He's got a cocktail in one hand, sunglasses on his head. He's wearing a Hawaiian print shirt without a single explanation for where it came from.

He waves to someone off-screen. Ratio wanders into the frame, arms already crossing, clearly scolding Aventurine for something which is immediately laughed off. Despite trying to act all huffy, when Ratio ends up walking off-screen again, it's with a smiling Aventurine in tow this time.

The Trailblazer continues on as if this entire background tableau never happened. It has no impact on the plot. No one at miHoyo ever comments on it.

But the fandom lives off it for the next six months.

Eye of Time

On one of the planets overseen by the Lanterns, a strange object manifested. Circling, trapped in a dome, Hal swore it was a red eye and it was watching him.

The eye caused different alterations in time, causing the planet to be in a state of pause (kinda) and everything to happen very slowly. All the inhabitants were affected by this effect, something they did not notice for a long time. They asked the lanterns for help (although the message arrived very late), and the lanterns decided to protect the object. It would be dangerous if power could be harnessed and fell into the wrong hands.

When said changes and temporary alterations happened in their headquarters, they gave the "eye" to Hal and told him to take it to the League to be studied, unfortunately they did not have enough knowledge of cursed items, and perhaps one of Hal's companions should know something. Diana almost fell out of her chair when she recognized that the eye belonged to Kronos, even though he was long dead.

As they began to discuss where to put the eye, Justice League Dark was summoned, and Fate informed them not to worry, as someone would claim the eye soon (which didn't alleviate anyone's concerns.) Though it would be a few months before they could.

Discussions continued until a rip in space made itself known. And a teenager saw them furious, showing his fangs. How could they display Clockwork's eye like a decoration and argue like it had no owner? It took him years to find out where the Observants had left it, damn it!

Of course, the League had forgotten that the eye altered time, and a few months was the equivalent of a few seconds.

I think you guys are worrying over nothing (2.2 spoilers be warned)

Ok, I see a lot of people confused about this line because Ratio was with him the entire time, and Jade should know about it considering Aventurine asked for his help way before they went to Penacony

However, I don’t think this is a plot hole or Ratio is some mysterious entity only Aventurine and the astral express can see or something, he quite literally reported Aventurine’s receiving of Sunday’s death sentence back to the IPC, so they know he’s with him.

So what is Jade referring to?

Well, it’s simple, the real Penacony.

I mean, she immediately mentions Dreamflux reef right after, so I assume Jade is referring to Aventurines time on the other side of that manifestation of IX, which brought him to the real Penacony.

There, he truly was alone.

We can assume Aventurine had told her about it earlier in their conversation, but we can also assume he left a lot of stuff out, including his meeting with Acheron.

This isn’t negative character development, Aventurine does want to live now, something which gets further confirmed by his text messages to us. So why bet his life? Well, there’s a lot of things Aventurine clearly didn’t tell her, and his change of heart is one of them.

“…may your schemes be forever concealed”

Aventurine is planning something, and it involves climbing the IPC latter

He’s willing to bet his life on Diamond promoting him, and if he didn’t believe or well, want that to happen, Aventurine wouldn’t make that bet.

Now, what exactly he wants to do with this promotion becomes a lot more clear when someone else walks into the room…

…and demands the location of one Oswaldo Schneider, the man behind both the operation on Sigonia and the destruction of Boothill’s planet

So i gave in and looked at the sonic 3 leaks (mainly stobotnik related leaks) and I just need a moment to ✨express myself✨

Below is my predictions on what those leaks could lead to/mean. (All opinionated)

First off TF! Stone is tied up AGAIN! (bro cannot catch a break🤣). There better be a reference to Snapcubes "I'm back in the fucking building again!?"

But it got me thinking WHO tied Stone up. Since he's shirtless it's likely to take place after Robotnik's transformation/preparation scenes (like shown I the trailer), I'm thinking it could be Robotnik himself. (Insert shocked face)

Why??

Prediction: I'm just thinking of Robotnik telling Stone to stay on the Crab, but Stone is refusing to leave Robotnik alone with Sonic and the crew. There's a bit of a Stone speech of how he's bound to protect and serve Robotnik, regardless what happens. But Robotnik is insisting Stone stays on the ship to protect/watch over it. Agent Stone doesn't budge (Stone wasn't bothered to put on a replacement shirt, hence, shirtless at this point). Cut to Robotnik tying Stone to a chair and then leaving.

Then sometime later Robotnik is doing a solo thing or whatever (the wall pic) and then is suddenly jumped scared by Stone behind (now wearing a shirt), referencing the 1st movie Stone jumpscare.

Robotnik goes on to question Stone on how broke out and found Robotnik. Yadayadayada

I also find it hilarious that whilst tied up and shirtless, Stone has a tie on🤣
