Much Ado About The Clone Wars

Obi-Wan of the Jedi and Satine of Mandalore are the proud bickering couple who loudly protest that they'll never fall in love, while Obi-Wan's stepbrother Anakin and Satine's cousin Padme of Naboo are the young couple in love with each other and ready to marry right away

as they prepare for their wedding, they scheme with their family and friends to try to trick Obi-Wan and Satine into confessing their admiration of each other

Palpatine, however, is furious at the idea that Padme's marriage to Anakin will ensure a clear line of succession for the royal family of Naboo, removing him from the role of heir presumptive as Padme's cousin and mentor; he bribes an old friend of Padme's, Rush Clovis, who is courting Padme's handmaiden Dorme, to help him trick Anakin into believing that Padme is cheating on him

Anakin, believing the deception, flies into a rage

when he confronts Padme the next day, he chokes her, and leaves in a fury

Padme is left injured, heartbroken and barely alive, while her kinsmen rage

Sabe, pissed at this dishonor to her lady, demands that Obi-Wan kill his brother and avenge Padme's honor on her behalf

Obi-Wan, broken hearted himself at seeing Anakin's jealous ire, insists that he cannot kill his brother, but agrees to go and confront him anyway

hearing this, Satine demands that Obi-Wan not kill Anakin if he loves her; Obi-Wan goes anyway, insisting that he will not be able to kill his brother

fortunately, during Obi-Wan's confrontation with Anakin, Jar-Jar Binks blunders into the scene, dragging Clovis behind him, who he overheard confessing to the scheme with Palpatine

after discovering that Palpatine has fled, Anakin flies to his fiancee's bed and begs her forgiveness; Padme, being stupidly in love herself, immediately gives him that forgiveness, and they marry as soon as she is recovered enough for the wedding

Dormé ~ handmaiden and the most devoted confidant of Senator Amidala

Dormé, formerly known as Dorra, was a handmaiden in the service of Senator Padmé Amidala during the Separatist Crisis and the Clone Wars. After Amidala's death, she joined the Amidalans, named after the late senator.

Dormé worked as the wardrobe mistress amongst the handmaidens. But as every handmaiden had also other talents, which are presented on the painting in a subtle way. Dorme was a amazing pilot (by the senatorial shuttle on the left) and fighter (by Naboo royal pistol).

Dormé was also skilled at wood carving, having learnt from her great grandmother, this is symbolised by wood figure of Naboo Elders.

You know what'd be great? A story about Padme's former handmaidens keeping her spirit alive during the Empire's reign. Padme really got the short end of the stick and she deserves to be fucking remembered. Plus the handmaidens were badass.

New keychains! These are going to keep coming because I want to have cute merch for all our faves. These are for the Padmé and Handmaiden girlies, sort of a tribute to Padmé’s role in the formation of the rebel alliance, but also to Sabé and the Amidalans who had their own rebel cell on Naboo.

These have a Naboo starfighter and a Naboo royal crest as charms. The lanyard says “we are brave, your highness” in Aurebesh.
