it's 2023 and i haven't participated in dsmp discourse in over a year but i want to drop one take for the sake of it — doomsday discourse is (rightfully) a joke now but sometimes i wonder if people remember what we were actually critical of
i'm rereading old dsmp discourse posts rn... who wants to reminisce with me about my days as a l'manberg apologist/dsmpblr discourse blogger
#because it wasn't that we hated fun and anarchy#(sorry. was rereading old doomsday discourse posts and agreeing with them.)#my text

Who would like to live in the world's largest Doomsday Bunker Community located in Edgemont, ND. (I don't see any neighbors, but there are supposed to be 100s of homes. I guess they're all underground.) This is Lot E 103 Bunker Rd. (not very original). Notice the big E - 103 over the door, so visitors will easily find you. Price for the 1945 bunker is $69,900.
The front door (there is a rear exit somewhere). The Black Hills Army Base was originally built by the Army Corps of Engineers as a fortress to store bombs and munitions, from 1942 to 1967, when the base was completely retired.
I don't know what this is. Maybe some sort of ventilation?
It looks like some of the dirt has sloughed off the building. There're some mounds of dirt to cover it back up.
It's pretty clean inside. All bunkers feature a standard 26.5 foot interior floor width, with lengths of 60 feet and 80 feet, each with a 12.5 foot high ceiling to the top of the interior arch.
This bunker has flooring in place, water hookup and air filtration/blast valves.
There's some sort of trench dug on the right. Each bunker includes a concrete floor and steel blast door, that seals to stop any water, air or gas permeation; air and exhaust ventilation shafts, and a secondary emergency exit.
Lease is owned by Vivos XPoint. (The community organization.) Potential buyer will need to make application and Owner must approve all purchases and leases. They're pretty choosy about who buys them.
The Vivos Community means business.
Vivos says: Away from Riots, Violence, Targets and Submersion Zones. The yellow circles represent Anarchy Zones. This former military base is no longer a target, having been retired since 1967.
It's difficult to capture the enormous scale of Vivos xPoint, nearly 3/4 of the size of Manhattan, NYC. Standing at one end of the complex, you cannot see the furthest bunkers on the horizon.
Massive. Safe. Secure. Isolated.
This is what it could look like.
You must visit the Vivos website. I was fascinated. They have a survival gear shop and you also would want to apply for membership in Vivos.

YOU/ME, for those don't know, is an original video game-turned written story idea I've had since I was fifteen years old back in 2016.
The story follows You, an 11-year-old child who was kept locked away all of their life. Not knowing anything, they are one day released when their mother, the single queen Konsanus, falls ills to a mystery disease simply called 'The Decay'. She has been hunting down her wife, the queen Disonus, for years after the death of their firstborn, and time is running out to find the missing Queen before Konsanus passes and their kingdom of the Fjallo Island falls.
You is given one objective: "Find the queen, or never return." Tossed out into the wide open world, You is made to learn about the Island, it's inhabitants, what has gone on in the years to lead the island to live in anarchy, and how to use this all to find a woman who hasn't been spotted in over a decade, in a world You does not know who they are in, or what they are meant to be.
Intended for mature audiences, YOU/ME is a story that deals in concepts of self-identity, family, trauma, morality, and much more --- Y/M also deals in possibly triggering topics, including: child death and assault, grooming, physical and emotional abuse, parasites, doomsday, pregnancy, and unreality/distorted reality.
Y/M has been both my baby project and my detested long-term investment, and I'm both excited and very scared(!) to finally make it real, even if it's not in the medium I wished for it. There is no exact release date for the first chapter (besides early 2025, around Jan-Mar), but I hope everyone enjoys meeting the cast of Y/M and following them on this journey 8 years in the making.

You know, honestly the LoV should have won the Paranormal Liberation War and annihilated most of the Class 1A and the hero society as a whole. I didn't like Class 1A because nobody died and plot armor saved them too many times so I want the LoV to win in the PLF War Arc.
While I can't say I’m a big proponent to any of the kids dying, especially when they…used to be…the best chance the story had at changing things in the next generation. (Definitely should’ve killed more pro heroes though, especially Endeavor.) But that other stuff?
Yeah, yeah I think the first war should’ve ended in a far more decisive villain victory. Especially one where they get to be in charge a bit.
Like, people came away from the first war thinking the heroes lost, and certainly it was their worst showing of an operation in living memory. But did they lose? Certainly not. The villains lost over 99% of their forces including many of their power players that could’ve taken on pro heroes solo and won. Sure they picked up more later for the 2nd war, but most of these replacements were USJ-tier nobodies at best. Meanwhile the heroes only lost half their numbers...and most were just due to cold feat in the aftermath. Actual casualties were, as I recall, a few dozen or so? Maybe in the low hundreds?
And I think that’s quite a missed opportunity. I’d have loved to see what things could’ve been like with Shigaraki on his rubble throne; let the PLF put their money where their mouths were and make the easier-to-live-in world Toga kept talking about. I think it could’ve been a great way to show the flaws that were supposed to be in their approach, maybe see why things can’t get better through their kind of violent upheaval or what ways they aren’t equipped to govern; but maybe also highlight some more flaws in the existing system by having the PLF focus hard on fixing them or maybe fixing a few easily. Just one "man, why didn't we do that?" situation could've been really cool & interesting.
Instead we got a period where nobody was in charge…well, actually more accurately the heroes and their government were still in charge in theory, but they were doing it badly because they failed once so a bunch of people lost so much faith that they stopped listening and chose to live in localized effective anarchy instead. But then the heroes prove themselves again and it all went back to normal.
(Man, putting it like that makes the hero system seem like the stock market if it was law enforcement.)
Anyway, because we didn’t really get to see what the villains’ world would be like, I still kind of think a resolution where Shigaraki triumphed over everyone and came out on top as ruler would’ve been the 2nd best ending for everything we could’ve gotten. (1st was of course one where heroes and villains work together for a best of both worlds resolution. 3rd by a wide margin is the one we got where everything goes back to as it was and trucks along to doomsday. And 4th was the one where AFO pulls a win out his ass.) Because, considering how aware the PLF are of the existing system’s flaws and their want to correct them; I can’t think of much solid criticism for their hypothetical governance that are not themselves purely hypothetical worst-case assumptions. I mean, besides ‘it’s wrong to get there through such violence’…and this is a shonen action manga where All Might ushered in an age of peace after beating up enough of AFO’s goons. A message like that’d always read a little hollow.
I can’t help but think that’s not the impression I was supposed to get towards the idea of the League being in charge and trying to make their easier world, but it’s the one I got anyway because there's not much to disprove it. Whoops.
Besides, the Paranormal Liberation War arc really was the villains' arc; if anyone had earned a true win by the end, it was them.

Do you have any analysis on c!techno I have always struggled understanding him
Not sure if this counts as a take or analysis, but here are some Techno and Dream thoughts I’m having this morning after watching old streams the other night. (In general, just as an aside, I don’t often do just blatant character analysis without a jumping off point or angle so giving me something specific about Techno you are curious about is often easier for me to answer :) … ya know, too many thoughts, gotta narrow things down lol <3)
What’s interesting between Techno and Dream is that while both are against oppression and abuse of power, and strive for a society of harmony, Techno is for absolute freedom versus Dream who wants people to be free to do what they want as long as they are being reasonable and respectful to others. What interesting too is I think part of what Dream strives to do especially more so in the beginning is counter any power imbalance, but he ironically does so by projecting an authoritative position therefore being part of the power dynamic. (Hopefully, that makes sense…) I believe Tubbo and Sapnap are ones to point this out, that Dream’s means to remove the tyrant end up with him more so resembling a tyrant. Perhaps this is why he made a king in the first place to shift the heat off of himself but note the king is never given all power sort of preventing him from becoming a tyrant…
Additionally, it is worth noting that Dream is not anti-government like Techno is even if he is anti-tyrant and abuse of power, he even suggests an election back in the early days before they even made a courthouse to settle the disputes [clip]. LIkely some of the reasons he is anti-L’manberg is that they 1) built a their nation on the foundation of pissing off the green boy and 2) their separation as well as the the power they gave Wilbur to enact rules for everyone to follow no questions asked. Had Wilbur wanted to run an election for the whole server then Dream might not have liked it but there wouldn’t have been as much of a problem, unlike the country barring people from entering due to their race. In fact, with Wilbur’s policy of no armor, Dream would have probably been more or less fine with him being the president (if it was more like Eret was as king) because his power is only that which they give him, the moment he starts to abuse his power it can easily be revoked by the people whether via a coop like with Schlatt or just abdication like Eret.
Techno on the other hand is for anarchy and a world without government, where people have freedom to govern themselves. What I think he perhaps realizes after the war of Pogtopia though is that that freedom should perhaps extend to people’s right to form a government. Something he doesn’t agree with, but again he is for people’s right to do as they please even if that is to do something he disagrees with. I think that’s perhaps why he lets Las Nevadas and Snowchester form even though they are nations and he vowed to dismantled any government. But wanting everyone to have freedom for themselves even if it’s to form a government, does not extend to governments taking away people’s freedom like L’manberg did to him by not allowing his retirement.
Though I think when it comes to Doomsday a lot of that was also self protection. I think Dream knew about the plot they had to kill him at the green festival and there’s the attempt they made to kill Techno, so the pair had to take down L’manberg as self defense otherwise what’s to stop the country from continuing to come after them. Though both things can be true, I think going after L’manberg was both self defense as well as destroying something people continued to use as an abuse of power against their citizens as well as others…
#government?… enjoy my half baked morning thoughts… don’t mind me stressing about the election. :/#c!rivals duo#c!rivals#c!technoblade#c!dream and c!techno#I had more thoughts on this I think but they have since washed away oh well#dreblr#c!dream#dsmp#this is fine#dsmp analysis?#hello there#doomsday#rivalsduo#rivalsblr

tw:"blood"
quick sketches of these silly boys, I'm still trying to draw something, but I don't know. (I'm trying to figure out if I want stylization or not)
Since I'm finishing reading the manga "My Hero Academy", I've been thinking about what Techno and Dream would be like in the mha universe. Well, they would have broken the 4th wall, there was an attempt to arrange doomsday and anarchy. A quirk of Techno-type obsession, it manifests itself in a halo over the head reacting to it. He uses a quirk, so to speak, the "eyes" take over, can control blood, but the more he uses blood, the more he falls into a state of insanity(I'm addicted to Techno, which controls the blood) The dream quirk of the "admin panel"? Literally causes a quick panel of 9 cells, as in Minecraft, in which 9 mysterious objects are embedded, divided into support items and for combat (Something like a pocket dimension) He can shuffle them, but each item has its own limitation (I didn't develop it further, lol, so I don't know what kind of items) Sorry lll.

(that post was so banger it finally made me register an alt) Honestly, you are so correct about L'Manberg
I remember regularly lurking around mcytblr and reading analysis and I think I only saw coherent L'Manberg nationalism analysis from, like, Xephyr and a c!Dream blogger/fan. Which is crazy in retrospect, because the ease with which most of the fandom leaned into fictional country hardcore patriotism was/is kinda insane
And the ensuing anti Doomsday stance -- like we all know that terrorism is bad and shit, but absolute refusal to acknowledge that maybe Doomsday trio and co were not punished by the narrative for having done that was because they were right was. sure something!
omg that's very flattering thank you :D
By Xephyr I assume you mean @considermygenderminecrafted ? Because yes, xe has some of the best L'Manburg critique out there, as well as some of the best c!Wilbur critique, everybody should absolutely check it out immediately (altho frustratingly, I just tried to find some of their posts as an example but Tumblr's search function is still absolute garbage (Xeph, do you have some of your great posts at hand and if so, can you just link some of them in the reblogs or something?))
And yes. There are valid criticisms that can be made of the Doomsday Trio's tactics (which even Techno himself sort of acknowledged later), but at the end of the day, they were on the right side of history
(Well Dream's character less so, but I can't even be bothered to try to analyse him at this point because none of his plans make sense to me)
Also nobody ever seems to acknowledge that Doomsday Trio were acting in self-defence, since L'Manburg had already gone after both Techno and Phil, and was at the time trying to kill Dream as well, although he kinda beat them to the punch (possibly because he already knew they were planning to kill him? idk, I'm not sure if that was ever confirmed or not)
But yeah, the argument about them needing to be punished by the narrative was always absurd to me, and it just betrays the fandom's belief that L'Manburg was supposed to be objectively good, despite all the evidence that it very much was not, not even to its own citizens! And possibly also the unquestioned assumption of "state good, anarchy bad"
Meanwhile the actual narrative repeatedly shows that L'Manburg always ends up becoming toxic, corrupt and ultimately oppressive, even under the Good President, while on the other hand the anarchist commune eventually turns into a sanctuary for all sorts of people who need a safe place to stay (even arguably the aforementioned former Good President when he needs somewhere to hide his son from kidnappers)
And yeah, this is why I did get pretty heated about some of the debates at the time, and I kinda still do, because in the process of assuming that L'Manburg was always the good guys, they ended up repeatedly justifying just absolutely horrific state violence as well as excusing early L'Manburg's xenophobia (as comedic as it initially was), which unfortunately mirrors a lot of real world authoritarianism and xenophobia
To be fair a lot of this was probably also protagonist-centric morality, since most of these people also saw the L'Manburg side as the main characters, but then again what is nationalism if not a form of protagonist-centric morality where you see your own country as the protagonist of the world lol
I might actually need to make a proper post now since multiple people have shown interest, unfortunately I'm also very lazy and kinda made my main points in that low effort post already
Which would mean that it would actually have to be a high effort post to justify its existence

Isa my darling! Happy Birthday, albeit a couple of days early.
Seeing you screech in Philza's streams because Apollo hit you with that dodgeball yet again makes me giggle a lot.
How about since headcanon's for qPhilza's past/pre island relationship with qFit. How they got to know each other, and how quickly they became friends?
Idr if I said this on Tumblr yet but deadass I asked Apollo on my pendulum if qPhil is his blorbo and he said yes. He's been as invested in shit as me and it's been hilarious. I literally have crows yelling at me irl to keep writing rn but I'm answering headcanons first.
The entire time I've been distracted between writing these, crows have been yelling at me about it. Which. Is how Apollo communicates with me when I'm not actively talking to him through readings LMFAO.
Also thank you for the birthday wish :D [desperately hoping nothing else horrible happens this weekend please god]
Anyway qPhil headcanons masterlist let's go
Disclaimer that I didn't know of Fit before QSMP (I've only been in mcyt for 4 years monkaS) so these are gonna be largely pulled out of my ass and a lil repetitive.
These two both have experiences in anarchy and war, they've definitely brushed shoulders a couple times bc of it
They admired each other's work ofc. Phil is a macro scale kinda guy, total annihilation and victory that makes a statement. Fit's more of a micro scale kinda guy, zeroing in on one person or group individually and making their lives hell until the end in the name of surviving a little longer
On that note, I think we all sleep a little bit on the fact that Fit is Also a survivalist like Phil, just in a very different set of high stakes conditions. These two are equally skilled in it and equally sharp strategists
On that note, anyone who knew them from the past would fear the idea of them coming together to create a plan of any kind, especially of the anarchist-fueled variety. If the Federation has done their research right, they should know full well how terrifying this duo could be in an effort to dismantle their authority
Btw by brushing shoulders I don't just mean brief passings by, I mean they've like. Camped out for a night together, temporarily truced for the sake of safety in numbers, etc. More than a few conversations have been had even if the time they've spent together totals to less than a week.
However, even when they weren't actively paired together, they'd still occasionally trade or gift each other surplus resources. It was a genuine kind act, even if it simultaneously served as a reason for each of them to not come after the other. I scratch your back, you scratch mine.
Like why do you think Fit was one of the first threats on Phil's mind in Purgatory. He Knew(tm). And he knew Fit has an affinity for picking off the weak first, like a lion after a herd of antelope. To him, Purgatory was the awakening of a monster who'd been dormant for a long time.
See, present day they're QPR as fuck, they'd never do this now without 10x the pressure Purgatory put on them, but back in the day they took close notes on each other's strengths and weaknesses. Just In Case, yknow? They could very much kill each other. Back in the day they would've if it came to it, no matter how good an ally they were.
Something about how these two used to be so cold and hard to the world. Be it to self-preserve or some other reason. Something about how now they've both softened and warmed after becoming parents. They never could've imagined the other would "weaken" like this, especially back then.
Phil 🤝🏻 Fit - Phil being a historian of the deities/builds of his Hardcore World, Fit being a historian of 2B2T
A lot of this boils down to mutual respect, common interests, and secret admiration tbh. And what's more homoerotic than that?
They're both crisis preppers. Not doomsday type shit, just. Being ready for shit to hit the fan. They both come from places where life is significantly more dangerous than it is in other realms.
The crazy thing is though? Despite the above, they can't imagine being from each other's realms. Phil would LOATHE 2B2T and Fit would hate the absoluteness of Hardcore. Isolation is absolute, death is absolute. There's no wiggle room or margin for error.
With how adaptive the two of them are due to their origins, they could probably acclimate to any conditions. They'd complain about having to, especially if it was inconvenient, but they could. They used to swap tips & tricks with each other on how to improve their adaptability too.
Fit would've 100% been down to join Phil on Doomsday in DSMP. He was thoroughly impressed when Phil told him the story.

So like, why do the Death Valley cultists worship bill? What do they hope to get out of it, or what do they want from him in return?
They're an apocalypse cult. He's convinced them that society is on the brink of falling apart into complete anarchy (think doomsday prepper beliefs) and the human race will die—unless, of course, Bill gets to Earth in time to save humanity from self-destruction. He'll liberate them from unjustly restrictive laws, from false religions, from oppressive governments, from poverty and disease and death, and rebuild a new better world where everything is possible.
He's, like... not technically lying.
These are people who were jaded about their lives and the modern world; Bill exploited that, leaned into their worst fears about humanity, and convinced them that society wasn't just flawed but doomed. The best thing for this world would be to end it before it ends itself so a better world can be built, and in the meantime to withdraw completely from this flawed soul-crushing world.
In the inevitable confusion of the transition period to Bill's brave new world, the humans who are already informed about what's coming and who have already let go of their past lives will obviously be the most prepare to roll with the punches, embrace the new world, and flourish. He's told just about all of them that they have a personality uniquely suited to thriving in the world he's building. And of course, a few of the humans best suited to this new world will have to help the other humans adjust—which means leadership positions. Plus, naturally, Bill himself will be so grateful to the humans who have honored and supported him all these years, he simply must reward them when he meets them in person.
So they think it's in their best interests. Obeying Bill will keep them safe and help them flourish in the coming apocalypse/revolution. They'd be stupid not to follow his commands, because everything he commands is for their own good.
They know about Weirdmageddon by the name "the Age of the Triangle."

real quick headcanon I wanna solidify before I go to bed: the existence of the Doomsday district is Alastor's doing. when he began to kill Overlords, it resulted in his eventual takeover of the district for which they often fought. when he finally cemented his rule in the area, he decided to then free its inhabitants of the possibility of being extorted by neighboring overlords - by leveling the entirety of it. the district now exists in a perpetual state of anarchy, destruction, and death, thanks to Alastor's disregard for the importance of something as simple as 'territory'. he sees what he did as an act of "kindness" to the Sinners within; he maintains that there is nothing redeemable about the area and is pleased that he has left nothing for overlords to bicker over in terms of the district's control. the old, abandoned home where Alastor once held his broadcasts before his disappearance (and the home which he often invited Vox prior to their falling out) is located within the Doomsday district and while the old radio tower no longer stands - just metal fragments of what was - the house was left mostly intact. personal items of Alastor's still exist within.

c!Technoblade- a What If take on his backstory.
Technoblade, for many, both as a cc! and a character has always been enigmatic and someone we are drawn to. In contrast to this, many people fail to understand fundamental parts of his character as well as his motives.
I feel, personally, the reason many people do not fully understand him is because we do not have a solid backstory for him. It is common knowledge that the Antarctic Empire was canon, that he and Phil are old immortals with a long history, but what about before? What came before his days as a conqueror, his days as an emperor, and, of course, his days as an anarchist? When did he become associated with the Blood God? Surely one could not be born with a connection such as that. Unless... No, aus are for another day- this is about headcanon, not aus! (I'll talk about Blood Demigod Techno another day, promise /j)
I remember reading a post by @becauseplot that questioned what made c!Philza and c!Techno go from being emperors, kings, conquerors with power beyond our imagination, to anarchists. The points in that post were incredibly well thought out and I thought about it for quite a long time, scoured Techno's dynamics and even went back to watch a few EarthSMP episodes to get a better view on Emerald Duo as a whole. The notion that they fell so far from that had always been shocking to me, someone who favored them as characters, but hadn't been around to see the Earth SMP.
Now? It's not so hard to believe.
Sometimes, when I think about this post, I also think of Passerine.
Yes, the fic- but what occurs in this fic? Philza and Techno, as they had on SMPE, were at one time co-leading an empire. One thing that I often associate with Philza is that with such a long life, with no death in sight, he often loses track of time- any mortal love hes had is a mere blip in his timeline and his children aren't any different. One day, the Angel of Death vanishes from their kingdom, and never returns. Technoblade is left to himself, stumbling in this similar feeling of Philza being gone as suddenly as he arrived. What if something of this volume had occurred? Or, perhaps, even something worse. Betrayal? Bloody wars bringing loss of people important to him?
Whatever ended the Antarctic Empire is up to interpretation. I'm not especially interested on touching that- I have my personal headcanons about that, but it's really what comes before and after SMPE that really counts. There's unaccounted time in both periods, depending on how long the time between SMPE and DSMP is. (Keep in mind, SMPE isn't considered canon to a lot of character's stories- but it IS canon for Philza and Techno. This is IMPORTANT and I will die on this hill.)
Let's start from the beginning of my headcanon for c!Techno.
He is old- as immortals are- old enough to have seen a world that was calm, peaceful, before governments. As a child, or a teen, or whatever he happened to be- in his early years, Techno got the grand privilege of enjoying a world with little conflict, full of cooperation and kindness. Over time, though, of course, human error comes into play. There are no perfect people, and so, anarchy in its purest form becomes chaos.
(The factual definition of anarchy: the organization of society on the basis of voluntary cooperation, without political institutions or hierarchical government; anarchism.
NOWHERE does this say that anarchism is about chaos. C!Techno's goal isn't chaos, it isn't to kill everyone on the server, it is to BRING COOPERATION WITHOUT CONTROL. His ideals are based upon the factual definition of anarchy, as are Phil's. In their eyes, the things that they did in Man vs. Pog, Doomsday, etc- they're just forms of revolution. They're not revolting to create their own government like the L'Manbergians. They're revolting to abolish them.)
Lighthearted anarchy is the optimal condition for humanity. But, human error naturally creates people who desire control, and all it likely took was one person for things to begin to snowball. Conflict sparks, the world begins to tear apart- his strength, the fact that something is different about him (his immortality, given later, will set him even further apart), it makes him someone the people of this old and fresh out of the schism world want on their side. They want him as a weapon. And, so, the Blade is born, figuratively. As time goes on, government solidifies, this condition of desiring control, power, death, blood- whatever it happens to be- it spreads, becomes commonplace. Techno is pulled along for the entire ride, his views, as everyone else's were, becoming warped as he is compelled to fight and conform to the more popularly accepted norms.
With that out of the way, let's talk about the Blood God.
Technoblade fights, he fights for everyone, a weapon of human error's creation, a solider (a true conqueror) that only continues to douse his hands, his blade, his arrows in blood as he moves forward, becoming a figure so haunted by death that voices of those he'd bloodied begin to fight for his attention within the confines of his brain.
Such a daunting man, hoglin, pigman- whatever your personal headcanon of Techno and his species happen to be- would not escape the notice of the Gods, and especially not one so engraved with war. The Blood God, reaching down from wherever the gods happen to be at, has to meet this conqueror that has been bathed in his favorite substance.
At first, as anyone would be, Technoblade, still young in his long, endless life, was unnerved, bothered by this deity coming specifically to him. But, perhaps, he realizes, it's not so hard to believe. He's infamous, a conqueror so powerful and renowned that he is on the same level as the Greek hero Achilles, or even Hercules, to be more accurate. It's natural for him to feel prideful about that, at the time, when he considers being a conqueror a good thing, and it's natural for a God to take notice of his abilities and seek him out.
Essentially, where this headcanon ends up going is as follows:
The Blood God, impressed by Techno's abilities, makes him immortal. Immortality comes at a dire price, and Technoblade must take the god as his patron deity for as long as he walks the earth, and he adopts both the phrasing "Technoblade never dies" and "Blood for the Blood God". This gift, his immortality, floods him with more pride, more dedication- and it also quadruples his value to any rulers that could have him in their army. A warrior beyond death, with more knowledge and intellect than any architect, philosopher, or strategist in any land. As time passes, progressing quickly, endlessly for Technoblade, he learns of the way people view him as a weapon, something to use to further their reach and power.
In retaliation, he begins to take his title as a conqueror very literally.
And, so, the reputation of Technoblade being a noble, grand soldier of the old times twists into him being a man capable of butchering entire armies, strolling through towns and cities and leaving wreckage claimed in his name behind. Technoblade is no longer a tool, a weapon, yes, but only for himself and for the God of Blood. He becomes an Emperor, a conquerer comparable to those we know such as Alexander the Great, or any others that have managed to spread an empire across a vast amount of land and still maintain control of it.
Surely, before the schism of the world, when everything was peaceful, early on, he had a family- mother, father, siblings, grandparents, even- but over the centuries he begins to forget, the memories of things before the deity granting him immortality becoming a grey sludge, fading further and further into nothingness.
He loses himself in human error, in leadership, in the blood-
The Blade is solidified as a legend, a legend of death, blood, war, and conquerors. His name is whispered across the old world, known truly, by some, but feared by all.
There is only one who is equally as feared as he, in this early time of conflict- The Angel of Death. Rumors and whispers he has heard are quite similar to those about he, himself, and this is both intriguing and threatening.
One day, they meet.
And the rest is history. ...Literally, they're old LMAO
THAT WRAPS IT UP FOR TONIGHT
this headcanon is based around the thoughts of @becauseplot , but it also takes some ground from the Passerine fic by blujamas and thcscus.
(heres a link if you havent read passerine, gogoggogoggogo!!!! ^^)
i didnt end up having the energy to finish the bit thats gonna elaborate on the time between SMPE and DSMP so if youre interested on further elaborations of my headcanons lmk!!!!!
(i say this like anyone will read it)
this is going out to like. hardly anyone but I FELT THE NEED TO RANT OKAY SO ENJOY IT /j
some thigns may be mildly innacurate but i wrote this wild tired and its been fueled by two cans of orange fanta. read /j
edit because i missed something: the primary idea of this hc is that the reason technoblade ends up becoming a total anarchist after the failure of the antarctic empire (for whatever reason it ended- this also contributes to his reasoning obviously) is that he vaguely remembers a time before governments, before conflict and war- peace through the dictionary definition of anarchy, not chaos. hes old enough to have seen a world before all of these things, and he ends up wanting it back after everythign goes so horribly wrong.
and hes not afraid, and hasnt ever been, to use force /j
THE ACTUAL END NOW- /j
