Based on the stream where c!techno was hiding c!tommy in his house and had to cover for him when c!dream appeared looking for c!tommy, stumbling upon c!tommy's "c!techno's" goals

Oh and on a rivals duo note, (not sure if anyone has talked about this yet either but) I found a couple of those books Dream gave to Techno in prison in a hidden chest in his house. One has the title information and that one just has the coords for their meeting place where the blueprints were buried, but the one labeled Dream just says this

and that’s it… I know, very exciting lol… though to be fair they told us the books were blank because they were going to fill them in later, but technically they lied lol. ;)

Write about. A little potato.

"Once upon a time," Techno says, "there was a little potato."

Dream rolls his eyes. There's already a grimace on his face under layers of grime and exhaustion. "Boo," he says, "tomato, tomato. This story sucks."

Techno has the gall to look affronted. "Not all of us write popular fanfiction, Dream," he replies, mock-haughtily, "some of us write original stories, alright. Be nice."

With a huff of air, Dream mutters something along the lines of my fic is better, and buries himself back under Techno's coat. It's filthy, as is he, and it's way too warm for a heavy fur coat like this, but Dream's less twitchy with it, so Techno's not complaining. Exaggerating his ahem! as he starts again, he continues:

"Once upon a time, there was a little potato. There was nothin' unique about this potato at all other than it had a weird smiley face someone had carved into it, and, uhhh... It was green."

"Oh, great." Dream mumbles. "A parable or something. What's the lesson at the end of this?"

"The potato lived with all its potato friends, until something - oh, wait, hang on." Struck by sudden inspiration and creative genius, Techno reaches for one of the gradually moulding potatoes they'd yet to eat. At the rate it had turned purpley-blue, they wouldn't be eating it at all. "The potato lived in harmony with its potato friends. Everything changed when the L'Manburg nation attacked."

Dream fake-snores.

"Hey, pay attention." Techno scolds. "Not all of us get this kinda quality entertainment in prison, y' know. This is one of a kind. Real special stuff."

"...I'm not watching your puppet potato show thing." His friend grunts, but his eyes dart up anyway. Despite his irritation, there's a faint smile stretching over scarred lips.

Techno grins back, chucks the potato over to Dream, and keeps going.

(He makes sure to give the potato a happy ending, even when Dream calls it trite, and carefully pretends he doesn't see Dream carving a crown onto another potato beside his own.)

It's the first time he has smiled in months! ^_^

Honestly we just don’t get enough c!Punz for me to master how he talks, not to mention his dynamics with certain other characters. It’s infuriating… it really makes me realize just how distinct c!Techno’s, c!Dream’s and c!Quackity’s speech patterns are compared to just about everyone else. Even c!Badboyhalo and c!Philza have a certain like flow to it, but man c!Sam and freaking c!Punz and even c!Sapnap… they kill me… then again maybe I just write so much more c!Techno, c!Quackity and c!Dream that it’s slightly easier… :]

i have wonderful news tumblr user @bubble-popping and that is that the bigger the size difference is between c!dream and c!techno the funnier it is and you only saw them sitting down

i don't actually know how characters communicate via in-game chat but i do know the start of the visitor stream wouldn't be the same without it, so c!techno gets his phone in prison
