Ageless Badass - if you hold stuff in, if you suck it up, if you put your life on hold in the hopes of things changing, if you say things like "When you're happy, I'm happy" or "I'm finnnnnnnnme" even though you're screaming inside you need to understand that you will pay a price. It might come at the expense of your health. It might come with a hefty price tag of having a meltdown at work. It may cost you respect. It might lose you relationships. I often see the results of holding feelings in, of playing the martyr, of trying to keep up the good girl or Superwoman act - call it whatever you want - and it often results in a heaping mess that simply didn't have to be. If you see yourself in any of this AWESOME ! Now is the perfect time to start letting the pressure out BEFORE you explode. Begin with finding your true voice. We can sometimes convince ourselves we're okay when we're not so it can take time to unearth reality to ourselves before we can even speak it. A very simple way to do this is to journal this question: "If I was completely fearless I would ...." And then write down 20 things you would do. Even if it's difficult to get to 20 make your brain sweat. Then look at the list. Your responses will give you some good fodder to start connecting with YOU. For example take one of the things on the list and then describe a day in the life of you doing this particular thing fearlessly. What would it look like to do this? What would it feel like? What happens is when you start speaking your truth (without being forced into screaming it) you will find daily life is a miracle not a mission. Everything - your health, your career, your relationships, your reason for being here- will heal. BUT you must be the one to start getting real first. NO ONE will do it for you.
