So I've been reading more about fasting, and I was pretty much surprised that fasting is really healthy!

So, there's this cute japanese microbiologist called Yoshinori Ohsumi who discovered something spectaculrar: the function of Autophagy; whereby the cells kind of cleanse themselves, and degrade parts of themselves to serve as nutrient sources.

THATS'S NOT IT, he said that in order for that to happen, you have to fast for at least 12h AND apparently you have to fast from water too, not just food, otherwise the process won't be correct.

AND disrupted autophagy has been linked to Parkinson’s disease, type 2 diabetes and other disorders, also cancer.

yes for the most part if u can fast it's super healthy for u as a yearly detox!! reading the article after my cell bio midterm rlly helped me understand this a lot more so ur timing is insanely perfect LOL.

ramadan is not a diet (unless u want it to be) there is a common misconception that we eat less when we fast. personally, in my family at least, the only one who loses weight (not much) during ramadan is me bc im rlly bad at eating when i first wake up so i dont eat as much for suhoor just drink water (i do this for regular morning breakfast too). the rest of my family maintains their weight/muscle mass bc they have the same calorie intake just spread apart more!! a lot of ramadan specific foods are high in fat and protein content bc they are so filling and keep ur energy up.

ramadan is a lot more than food tho so ill make a post about that soon if anyone wants!!

[2/10] Lately I have found myself in kind of a weird spot when it comes to my fanbase, I have seen stuff that I have tried again and again to stop yet people sadly dont seem to take my messages to heart when I tell them about my boundaries. I really do appreciate my fanbase and I know that most of you guys are absolutely great, and if you dont do any of the things im going to list then you just keep on being a good part of the community :D.

[3/10] Recently I have honestly been terrified.

[4/10] In case you didnt know I am a VERY anxious person, and whenever things and events keep on happening in regards to other creators and situations I keep on getting brought into it as an example. Whether it be people saying "Ranboo wouldnt do something like this" or "Ranboo did ????? so why cant this person do ?????". I ask you PLEASE to stop putting me on a high pedestal, as I am a person so thus I will make mistakes! And honestly I have been so scared, unnecessarily checking every single post that I make as well as not speaking about certain things because I am so scared of wording it wrong and making people upset because of the fact that I have an okay reputation. I am glad that you guys think of me as a good person, but consistently bringing me up and putting me above others because of what you think of me scares me so much because the higher you put me up the further I can fall.

[5/10] I am in no ways a perfect person. I have made mistakes and I have learned from those mistakes. Am I trying to not make mistakes? Yes. Will I make mistakes in the future? Absolutely. I am trying my hardest to be a good person but you guys have to understand that I am in no ways a perfect person, Im not even close. I am trying to educate myself on issues as well as try and understand a lot of the troubles that many people go through in my fanbase to try and make the fanbase a better place, but if I am not allowed to be respectfully educated when I mess up then I am losing the ability to learn from my mistakes. I really do want to be a good person, but the stress of consistently trying to be perfect is really not healthy for me. Part of that does come from me however so I am trying to figure out how to manage that on my own, I mean I entered this situation having no idea how to handle a fanbase of any size and I have been learning as I go.

[8/10] Another thing that has been still happening which I have tried again and again to stop is people associating with me and then sending actual threats. Threats of any kind are NEVER okay with me. So if you want to associate any part of your profile pic, bio, etc. then PLEASE never do these kinds of things. Another thing is if you want to associate yourself with me, but get into an argument please try to do so respectfully! So please if you want to get into drama and you decide that you do not want to be respectful about it please do not associate your profile with me. However, I am completely okay with you guys calling out issues and being associated with me as long as you do so in a respectful and educated way! I encourage you guys to try and educate others, but please do it in a respectful way if possible! (I do understand that it may be hard to do it in a respectful manner in some cases, so if you do decide to act in that manner please do not associate your page with me as if enough people see the same common denominators in a profile they will give the fanbase a "toxic" label.)

Hi Flo! I just wanted to get in touch to see if you had any tips, or knew of any posts out there already about how admins can encourage diversity (and combat a lack of) within their rp's? Thanks!

g*d i can’t think of any particular posts in mind right now that i can link/reference but !! there are a lot of things i’ve seen that ( imo ) have encouraged people into joining with diversity. 

i think first things first, the admins have to set the example themselves. there’s already a lot of think pieces out there about this point---it’s not enough that you encourage it or ask for it, you have to put your money where your mouth is and not only take up a character that’s of color or not-cis or body diverse, etc. but also actually take the time to develop them into a character that you want to play. i can’t tell you how much of a turn off it is for me as an enby poc to look at the admin roster ( of like 3 or 4 admins ESPECIALLY ) and see maybe 2 characters of color of the 10 the admins have taken up. don’t treat your diverse characters as tokens, im begging u, diversity points dont exist, ur just a dick if u think it does. 

but i also think on the other hand of that, don’t try to enforce quotas or bans unless it makes sense. it’s the right energy but in my experiences when g*nder bans were a thing, people just took up characters randomly just to get the ban lifted. 

what i would suggest you do instead is create incentives for people to join as diverse characters. if your rp runs on a points system this is a great way encourage people. offer maybe 20 extra points for bringing in a diverse character or allow them to be accepted quicker if your rp accepts only on certain days. 

another way i personally would encourage diversity is to make it a rule. there will always be people in your group who want to play multiple characters so make sure that, say, if they play 3 characters at least 1 of them has to be diverse in some way.

if you’re running a skeleton or bio rp, i think it’s a little simpler---you can suggest/cast diverse fcs almost exclusively for characters you want to see diverse. don’t be afraid to be firm about these things, yes, the portrayal of the character is utp but you as an admin and the “creator” of that character has every right to be stern about the way you want to see this character on the dash. if, when you were creating this character, pictured someone who was plus sized, the only fcs you would accept should be plus sized. and of course, you can also be as flexible as you want, for example if you casted riz ahmed because you liked his overall vibe but you could also see chay suede in the role, that’s valid too. 

you could also give the more diverse characters a bigger role in the group’s plot. sometimes i can tell in an rp which character is supposed to be the “main character” and who’s just supporting. give your diverse characters more to do, give them interesting bios/skeletons, make them important to the rest of the cast of characters. make it so they’re one of the bios/skeletons that gets 10 applications. some of the rps i used to be in would have all the white characters taken up but very few of the characters of color taken up. and also not a single body diverse character in sight. 

as for combatting the lack of diversity, i would say make sure you’re interacting with diverse characters. i have left several rps and given up certain characters because i wasn’t getting the same amount of attention as my other characters. and it wasn’t for lack of me trying either. rp is interactive, it thrives off giving each other attention and interaction. if half of my characters are being ignored, i’m going to feel like it’s not worth my time and effort to play them anymore and it’s terrible to think but it’s true. you as an admin or you as a player who wants more diversity needs to make sure that these diverse characters are wanted and needed in the rp. if they only have 4 notes in the starter tag and 3 of them are just likes, go ahead and reply to them. 

these are all things that i personally implement or that i personally look for before joining an rp. and because of that i haven’t had an issue where i was in a group with people who weren’t game to write diverse characters in a very long time and it also has to do with the people in your roleplay too. don’t be afraid to implement these tips because the people that you want to actually be in your rp --- people that will not only bring diversity but will also write them well -- will 9/10 be fine with it.

So... I'm not kinda new to the community of dxlg/ddlg/agere/agedre

So... like... I got into the "ddlg" community bc my therapist thought it would be a good idea to help me deal with my trauma. What he actually was introducing me to was agere/agedre. It wasn't a k!nk thing, just for trauma and sometimes I cant control it. (My brain. Kinda forces me into little space and I get super overwhelmed with adult stuff while I'm in little space)

Anyways I was introduced to "ddlg" (actually agedre/agere) when I was around 15ish so its been roughly 6 years

I do have a daddy but hes not really a "daddy dom" cause I dont like to be sexual in my little space (trauma related) but hes technically my dom when im big me

What does it mean?

Everything "ddlg" is NSFW and i get that and I try and respect blogs DNIs (alot of their acronyms I dont understand so its best to just not follow them)

My main blog is NSFW (mostly big me stuff) but I have a second blog thats SFW

Is there a way to follow SFW agere/agedre accounts with my SFW and not my NSFW?

I dont want to trigger or put minors in an unsafe environment

And some people tell me that you can't be AGERE/AGEDRE if you're in ddlg whatsoever so like my daddy just bc hes my daddy (whether dom or not) and I just don't understand I guess 😭😭😭😭🥺

First off I want to say you don’t have to apologise for asking! We all have to learn somewhere and there’s no shame in not knowing!

For the sake of clarity I’m gonna define a few terms before continuing just to make sure we are all on the same page:

ddlg: An NSFW kink community for adults. Stands for Daddy Dom Little Girl and involves a BDSM power dynamic between a Dom and a Sub.

dxlg: A SFW non-sexual term. Stands for Daddy Little Girl and describes a relationship between a caregiver and a regressor. 

Agere: A SFW non-sexual community and coping mechanism. Stands for Age Regression, which is when a person reverts to an age younger than they actually are.

Agedre: A SFW non-sexual community. Stands for Age Dreaming which is an umbrella term for people with non-sexual child-like headspace or behaviour that doesn’t totally fit under regression.

Age(d)re: Another way to say “agere and/or agedre”.

With that out of the way, I wanna say that it is totally fine to be both ddlg and age(d)re permitted that you and your partner are adults and the two communities are separate! What it means is just what you have said, he is your dom when you are big and consenting and he is your caregiver when you are small. Your sex life and your regression are separate from one another and as such, his roles are separate from one another as well. 

As for the blogs, it’s good that you keep the NSFW and SFW separate! Just as the blogs are separate it is best to also keep who you follow separate. In other words, follow NSFW/non-agere or agedre blogs on your NSFW blog and use the SFW blog to follow agere or agedre blogs. It sounds like you are doing a great job at being careful to not trigger or harm anyone, but be sure you’re not accidentally cross tagging posts as it can be confusing to know which tags are safe and which aren’t! Here’s a link to a guide on cross tagging and how to avoid it

As for the DNIs, it is very common for a blog to say “DNI k!nk NSFW” or something similar. In general, this usually means that NSFW or kink blogs can not follow or interact with them. However, some people do not want a person following them if they are in kink at all, even if their blog is not related to kink. When in doubt it is best to ask the blog owner! 

DNIs often include a lot of acronyms which can be pretty confusing if you’ve never seen them before, so here are a few ones commonly found in DNIs!

MAP: Minor Attracted Person, another term for a p*dophile.

(NO)MAP: (Non-Offending) Minor Attracted Person, a p*dophile who has not acted on their urges.

P.E.A.R.: Pro-Expression Anti-Repression, another term for a p*dophile.

MIK: Minor in Kink, a person under 18 who participates in kink or BDSM.

NMIK: No Minor in Kink, this means a person does not want minors in kink interacting with their blog, commonly found in the bio of gear shops and regression shops alike

ALM: All Lives Matter, the opposition movement to Black Lives Matter.

If you find a DNI with an acronym you don’t recognise you can always ask the blog owner what it means! If you have any acronyms in mind that I didn’t answer feel free to send another ask or a message and I will do my best to help define it.

I hope I’ve answered your questions or helped to clear up some confusion! Anyone who says that you can not be a regressor if you are also ddlg is wrong. As long as you and your partner are consenting adults and you are not participating in kink while regressed then it is perfectly okay! Adult regressors are still adults and are allowed to have a sex life outside of their regression!

hi! aww tysm :,) that means a lot!

well, i started by making a post asking people for requests (as i started as a request writing page, not really that way anymore because it’s easier to not get burnt out for me if i do the stuff i genuinely want to write!) and i used all of the tags i could.

(if youre planning on doing mha writing, bakugou and todoroki content generally does the best. the first 3 tags you use, your content will show up under tagged when you search the tag in specific, so i suggest doing bakugou x reader, todoroki x reader, and whatever else as your first three for your starting request post!)

if you aren’t planning on doing requests, i suggest maybe an intro post. like “hi! i’m (name) and im a writer! here are the fandoms i’ll be writing for, and a few things about me!”

try and have your first writings be consistent, it doesn’t matter that much but it’s good to have content for ppl to read rather than literally one post and it’s an intro. if people see the intro, they will prolly click on your account to see your writing and such. so, imo it’s important to have some writing to begin with

i’ve noticed, that using more tags doesn’t necessarily = more notes! the first few matter the most, and after that, it can help to do the category and such

let’s say i wrote a bakugou fluff. i’d use these tags: bakugou x reader, bakugou imagine, bakugou fluff, bakugou katsuki, mha bakugou- give or take a few! you can find examples under my MOST RECENT writing posts, as i did different experiments with it and the more useful your tags are the better. my “if you came into their room in the middle of the night” post was the experiment, and it turned out that i was right, more tags ≠ more interaction

on that note, INTERACT WITH PEOPLE. this isn’t against anyone who doesnt like interacting, but it can help build relationships with followers! if you’re comfortable with this, you can open your asks box so people can say stuff (you don’t have to have anons on but it can be nice for ppl who are shy/dont want their acc out yk)! if you get anon hate, just block the anon if you want. or dont respond.

also, it’s rlly cool to get a few mutuals! i’d love to be your mutual if you want to, just lmk your account whenever you start posting! sometimes i make mutual posts asking for mutuals, you can do something like that if you would like

my first ever oneshot thing i wrote, was one i rlly remember writing! that might not be the same for my viewers, but i usually remember someone by the first thing i’ve seen by them. first impressions matter, so try and figure out how you wanna be seen! ofc don’t fake being someone you’re not, but it might be confusing to ppl if your first impression doesn’t match with how you act the rest of the time!

your first post usually sets the tone for your blog, or at least the first one that gets you your audience. if you, in your first post that gains you followers, say that you’ll be writing for danganronpa, and then instead write for mha, everyone would kinda be like. what? i thought you were a danganronpa writer??? ya know

BE SURE TO INCLUDE GENERAL TRIGGER WARNINGS ON POSTS THAT NEED THEM. ADD THE TOPIC ITS WARNING ABOUT TOO. EVERYONE WILL APPRECIATE IT BECAUSE IT IS JUST A NICE THING TO DO PLEASE DO THAT!!

i suggest making a navigation page (like my pinned post) and a masterlist (you can do all your writing in one or even seperate masterlists for each character, whatever you’d like)! it can really help to have a spot to go and be able to find all of the writing you’ve done without endless scrolling! if you need a tut on how to add links to posts, im sure theres a tut on youtube!

A REALLY HELPFUL THING TO DO IS WHENEVER YOURE MOTIVATED WRITE LIKE FIVE THINGS SO WHEN YOU DONT FEEL LIKE WRITING, YOU HAVE POSTS! fr tho, ppl usually wont mind if you arent super active. if they do, theyre being dumb!

posting consistently CAN help your posts reach more ppl, but if you can only post every now and then, it isnt really a problem! don’t stress it if you’re too busy/dont have a schedule, it wont kill your account

how i started in five steps:

1. i made a post that was like “hey! im mack and i want to start doing writing requests! do you guys have any?”

2. i did a few posts then was like ah fuck i need a masterlist, so i made that and then made an about me with random facts i thought of and such. (also make sure tou put your pronouns in your bio so ppl arent confused!)

3. i did more posts and started gaining, but didn’t really mind it. i kind of just vibed, cause the numbers dont determine how good of a writer you are, so i focused on working on my writing style and such! i kinda ghosted the whole blog for a week straifht beside from queued reblogs, but came back later when i had inspo! it’s good not to run your brain dry

4. i redid my whole blog, made it pretty! its rlly motivating to me to have a nice blog, but it isnt required! i made an organized navigation page, and started focusing on getting my reach back. (btw, prime posting time is at like midnight!) be sure to put rules and boundaries on your page as well, so people do not end up crossing one that you didn’t state.

5. i reminded myself that i can do things other than my blog when i’d get a little too obsessive over it, and that it wasn’t going anywhere! don’t feel pressured to post a LOT. only post when you want to and can. don’t put responsibilities like health aside just for your blog.

im going to say right off the bat, i agreed to some of these. some of these i liked. a lot i agreed to because i was afraid to say no because i didnt want to upset them. some were forced on me. some were made without my knowledge. i will not go into specifics on which ships belong in which categories unless its necessary because this post would be extremely long, but please keep this in mind if you see me reacting positively in screenshots.

this screenshot shows me trying to break off all of our ships the first time. i say right down there at the bottom that i want all of them gone. i thought i was being pretty clear.

one of my trolls (kaivin) has a moirail to whom he is extremely attached. this isnt a secret. he is so attached, in fact, that the two share most quads. so anyone kaivin would get into a relationship with, his moirail would as well. ive posted about this many times and i believe its on his bio but dont quote me on that.

theres been a few instances of this, but heres the main one

i run a cool blog over at @broadcastappear​. i got with a friend of mine and they made theirs one day, i made mine the next. of course, i was excited about this! i wanted to tell everyone about my cool new blog, so i started messaging people! them included!

before i get into the screenshots, here is the premise of both of our broadcast blogs:

slightly odd radio host trolls who talk to each other over the radio waves. my friends troll for their blog is crazy and stuck in the desert, mine is slightly less crazy and stuck in an apartment. shenanigans and extremely cryptic flirting ensue.
