Rage

Rage is such a funny thing because people believe you're allowed to feel it "sometimes".

Most are aware of the concept of "righteous rage" or "righteous anger" and they accept those terms. But they never accept it. They say and think; "you can feel rage sometimes" but when it comes to it, what has happened is never enough for them to consider it "righteous".

Exaggerating

And everyone else listens and agrees. They listen to them. But they never seem to listen to you. The main reason for someone to finally be so mad, so angry that they show their rage is because nobody listened. Nobody listened to their pain, their hurt, and now all that is left is a broken shell, it's only inhabitant being pure, unfiltered rage. The type that boils past the line and spills out onto your hands. The type that burns.

Nobody listened then. Nobody will listen now. They're using you, using your hurt and then your anger to "prove their point", to make them seem right. Nothing we do will be enough.

Nothing, but screaming. Kicking and screaming till our lungs are raw and our legs ache. Because they may not listen, but they'll hear.

And we need them to hear. Stay quiet, and they won't even be able to choose to listen.

I suppose we are allowed to feel rage, we just can't show it.

Racism and misogynoir are so apparent in fandom, especially when it comes to shipping because why is it when a white male, sometimes female but I see it more with the former, character is on screen with a love interest, particularly woc, especially if they're black, and even with all the emotional scenes or just moments where they look at one another in ways different from the rest, it's met with "No, they aren't dating/the show is not going to put them together" but let the other love interest be white as well and suddenly it all makes sense? Heck, the examples I mentioned above don't even have to exist between the latter for some to STILL go and believe this rhetoric (eg. some Jace and Helaena shippers because, even if these two only interacted with a dance but yet we see Baela console Jace, after he seeks her out, apparently it's to far fetched to believe that Jacela could be a thing?!)

Sometimes it could be a headcanon that, largely, would make sense (and oftentimes was birth due to lack of respect that the poc characters could have been given by the writers *cough* TVD *cough*), and yet you'd still have people dismissing it left and right and spewing hate. At a HEADCANON! And I'm not saying that just because the other person in the ship is poc that you have to ship them, I'm not, but it's very apparent to many poc fans in fandom that unless the characters are swapping spit and doing the nasty, the possibility of them being viewed in any romantic lens feels too much of stretch even though their white counterparts don't have to jump through the same loops.

On the lighthearted side of things: I think An tries flirting with Haruka at some point but realizes that it's just too similar to the playful banter that they've always done so it just flies completely over Haruka's head. They've been holding hands since they were little, of course Haruka doesn't think anything of it when An does it now.

On the more angsty side of things: I often think about An seeing Haruka's initial rise to fame from afar and being increasingly worried about the worse parts of the idol industry. It chews up the person she knew and spits out something manufactured and Not Right; someone constantly aware of what she's wearing, what she's eating, what she's doing in public, all to maintain that idol image. Haruka her best friend and Kiritani Haruka the Idol are almost different people and it scares her a little. MMJ being such a source of positivity was a massive relief.

An apology passed on by Crinkles partner a while back. Posting bcs im not waiting another year for him to own up to his flock how horrendously he treated people. Redacted certain parts bcs im not entertaining excuses and reasoning as to why it was ok to treat his partner and "dear friend" like trash. The stuff i left in (biphobia etc) doesnt realistically make sense and should have never been taken out on me. Even if it did make sense, being nasty to a "friend" as a 30 year old over an oc is pretty goofy. He made his biphobia MY problem and thats inexcusable. He made all of his issues other peoples problems actually. Thats the entire situation imo.
