oh so HUGE fucking update. asked advisor if i was throwing away my degrees to go to trucking school immediately after graduation and he said im just adding to my skill set. called dad and asked for permission to renew my lease and go to trucking school and he said i can run free for 1 more year. so now im doing trucking school research so i can get my CDL hopefully by the end of summer 23. then i can long haul truck or milk truck for like 2ish years. then if thats super lucrative i'll stick with it to keep saving money, otherwise i'll put my degrees to use and get some management or quality job at a dairy plant. then still by 2030 have money for land and goats

AITA for not inviting my younger sister to my wedding?

I (27M) recently got married to my wife T(28F)

Our wedding was a childfree wedding, mostly because everyone was gonna get drunk and we didnt want to have to worry about children getting hurt or messing with things. So we sent out the invites saying that everyone had to be at least eighteen in order to come to the wedding. No exceptions (We dont live in America btw so the legal drinking age in our country is 18 not 21. Just to clarify that)

Well I have a younger sister, A(14F)

And because children werent allowed at the wedding, she wasn't invited. But she knew about the wedding because she was there when me and T told my parents. So she had gotten all excited about going to the wedding even before we decided to have childfree.

According to my mom A even saved up all her allowance and bought herself a new dress to wear to the wedding.

Well once we decided to go childfree, someone had to break the news to A that she wouldn't be going. And my mother decided that since I was the one getting married I had to be the one to break the news.

So I told A that she wasn't coming to the wedding because she was too young.

She didn't take it well. She started crying, saying that she wasn't a child and wouldn't cause any problems, that this was unfair. She even asked if she could stay for the ceremony then leave before the reception. But that wouldnt work because she cant drive, someone would have to drive her home (and considering its a two hour drive from our house to the venue...yeah not exactly feasible, especially if whoever was gonna drive her home wanted to drive back for the reception) She tried to plead with our parents but they took my side and said she was too young.

Besides if we let A come then all our friends and relatives who have kids (which is most of them) would want to make an exception for THEIR kids too. Majority of those children are ten and under (mostly under) so then our wedding would be overrun with kids, defeating the entire point of going childfree. I told this to A and she got mad, saying that if she ever got married I wasn't invited either, told me to fuck off and stormed off to her room.

Well the wedding came and went, we had a blast and A was dropped off at a friend's house. I did feel bad about hurting her feelings so I saved her a big slice of wedding cake. Well the next morning when we went to drop off the cake, A had been crying the entire night since her eyes were all red and puffy. Her friend's mother tore me, T, and my parents a new one. Yelling at all four of us in the driveway, calling us selfish for not inviting my own sister to my wedding. I tried to explain that it was childfree but the mom cut me off saying that surely the sister of the groom was a reasonable exception and that A wasn't a toddler needing to be supervised, she was a teenager. She also added that she could've picked A up after the ceremony but instead we decided to be assholes and exclude her from everything.

A hasnt talked to me since, just silently glaring at me whenever I come visit.

I dont think me and T did anything wrong, since it was our wedding and we could invite whoever but I still feel awful for hurting A's feelings so idk.

Now that I'm on a 5 hour train ride before my airport run I can outline a few thoughts about America I've had over the last week:

-everything is so big. Like canada far beats you guys in regards to raw land mass but there's like 12 of us up there. You guys really minmaxed how much you can fit into one place. Meanwhile you leave an urban center in canada and it's just nothing for the next half hour upon which you hit a gas station warning that the next ones not gonna be for another 2 hours so fill up now

-Ive seen more Amish people in my like 4 days in upstate NY than I have in my entire life before now

-ive also seen more confederate, trump, and general American flags in the last 4 days upstate than in my entire life before now. NYC was not that bad. Are you guys okay down here

-why do you have war vets advertised on street lamps

-why do you put your flag on EVERYTHING... im pretty sure there's a part of your constitution that says you're not supposed to do that lmao??

-i bought a big gulp with my last few USD bills yesterday. It gave me a nuclear level tummy ache but the hubris of having that much pop for 2 dollars made it worth it. I get the appeal of Big Drink now

-I was asked how I want my burger cooked when I went for a good ol' american cheeseburger. You guys are just raw dogging rare ground beef here like e coli can't touch you. There was a burger that had mozzarella sticks on it on the menu. Your frankensteinian approach to food captivates me

-i hate how you have 1 dollar bills here. That's wrong to me. 5 is the proper place for bills to start. To me. But the CAD to USD exchange rate is HEAVILY weighted in your favour so it's whatever I guess. Your grocery prices make me want to scream, cry, and throw up in that order. Canada's not much better but at least the prices have the same number on them in a comparatively worthless currency

-there is something so capitalist about this country. Every second of my day I am being blasted with ads from every flat surface. At least we don't have ad screens in our taxis???

-I bought an Arizona tea flavour we don't have in canada and upon glancing at the nutrition label it had 84% of my daily sugar intake in it. If that's what your convenience store iced tea is like I think whatever sweet tea is would just kill me

-I think the guns in Walmart are perhaps contributing to the way the tankies on this webbed site think guns are cool and not dangerous at all. My god I was uneasy seeing that shit

-i got a big box of american sugar cereal that we dont have in canada and they can pry it from my cold dead hands at the airport I'm qualified to work our TSA checkpoint and I know damn well it's allowed to go in the case of personal consumption this shit fucks so goddamn hard

I looked at myself in the mirror, my jaw dropping immediate as I turned to my proud best friend. My roommate Riley looked down at me.

“What do you think!” she asked smiling ear to ear.

Despite being somewhat of a girly girl, I never had a good sense of style. (thats where Riley comes in). Tonight when I heard we were going out to the bars I decided to let her get me ready. Turning back to the mirror I saw my long golden brown hair straightened reaching almost past my butt. My hair has always been one of my favorite things about me. She had also done my makeup, and had gone for a soft glam which suited me well. i never looked good with lots of makeup on. If anything i feel more confident without any at all.

“Do you the think the skirt is too much?” Riley says, snapping me back into reality. I scan my outfit. Im wearing the infamous “is this too much for a little bar in jersey..” top and i laugh to myself. Riley paired it with a jean mini skirt. Emphasis on mini.

“I like it” I smile up at her. Despite my smile sees right through me.

“But what” she asks, anticipating my reply.

“Don’t you you think i look like a..” I trail off, “a whore?” Don’t get me wrong i loved the outfit, but being blessed as a C cup and having a good ass on me made me worried about what people would think if they saw me in this outfit. I loved playing volleyball at Uconn, and being one of the shortest players to go D1 at 5”1. It was one of my biggest accomplishments.

Im not one to brag but I do have a pretty good body. I have a toned stomach from hours of being im the gym, and a good ass from weight training with my teammates. I just didnt want anybody to get the wrong idea about me based off of my outfit.

“Ana, dont worry about it. If anyone has something to say about the way you look tonight, then they can talk to me first.” Riley reassured me. Her confidence is something i only wish i could have. I took a deep breath and gave her a hug.

“Thans ry. By the way i love this outfit. 10/10, chefs kiss.” I do a little spin for her showing a full 360 of the outfit.

Riley hypes me up before grabbing my hand and taking me into the kitchen of our small apartment. Its not much, but its nice to live off campus. I watch her grab the fireball from the kitchen counter as she flashes me a smile.

as shes pouring me a shot i secretly pray to not get alcohol poisoning tonight. Tonight was one of the biggest going out days at Uconn, especially because the woman’s basketball team had just won the big east tournament. I wonder if the team would be out at teds tonight.

“Ready?” I get pulled out of my delusion to see Riley handing me the shot. I throw it back and immediately feel the burning in my throat reaching for a caprisun as a chaser.

“Shit its 9:30 already and we cant miss the pre game come on!” Riley grabs me by the hand and rushes us out the door.

“Who’s dorm are we going to again?” I ask basically screaming over the Drake blasting in Rileys car.

“Remember that girl Azzi I had cognitive science with?” She looks at me. “Her and some of her friends are going to Teds tonight too and invited us to pregame with them.”

I feel anxiety wash over me. “But Riley she doesn’t even know me! And you know how i get… I’m not good at socializing or meeting new people.”

“Don’t worry she told me i could bring a friend, and shes exited to meet you and introduce you to her friends. I promise it’ll be fun, they are all nice girls.”

We park next to her building, getting out of the car to walk up to her dorm together.

Silver is contemplating if this is alright but come to an agreement that you are taken as hostage so of course he needed to be the knight in shining armour and rescue the defenseless you from the clutches of the fire headed shut in who has taken you hostage on top of the tall building of a dorm which is ignihyde. “I will come to save you, y/n..” 

Vil then came on a same chariot that is suspiciously similar to those in styx and rook is driving it. “Hand y/n over , oh poor y/n i can’t imagine the state of her under your care, probably a diet of energy drinks and junk food. The thought of it!” The lights are flashing through those they cant go near nor can they attach since idia had set up special defense in his dorm especially his room. 

“C’mon idia its not fair to keep her all lock up for you!!” Kalim whined. He is flying in his magic carpet along with jamil. “Kalim please stop moving or we will fall!” Jamil is contemplating that he shouldve taken the over to use the chariots with vil and rook.

“Mr.Shroud enough with this charade, hand over y/n and let it be over. There is a much more dire situation at hand” Crowley shouted into the megaphone, he of course is accompanied by the other staff who is ready in command depending on idia cooperativeness. 

“Geez what’s this, i am completely surrounded..you may have tanks and all but nothing can over power my technology, they could try of course. Hahahaha…:  come to think off, how did they manage to build this kind of contraption in such a short time. The design is kind of familiar too.. don’t tell me..”

“Hmmm.. if you could get me near the panel i could enter the code he usually used.”

“Great now hurry.” Ace pushed them forward impatiently.

The rest followed cautiously.

A loud alarm ring coming from the door panel making all six of them cover their ears from the noisy screeching ring.

“Hey! Deuce watch it!” Grim growled as one of the cauldron almost landed on his head

“Everyone get behind the cauldron!!.” Deuce frantically said as he prop it up as a shield.

Jack who had retrieved Epel stunned body and hide under the cauldron.

All of them unable to move.

“Plan failed i repeat plan failed!!” Jack shouted to the communication watch. 

A square projection of Idia, who is still covered by catnip  and you cuddling  him suddenly appeared. 

“is Is that all you have? A simple trick by the book? To think an op SSR character cannot bring down a genius. Hahahahahha.”

That of course caused an irk on everyone’s face.

“GOD DAMMIT !” Riddle scoffed.

“Yes, we do have more to it don’t we?” Vil joined in.

“No you are bluffing!” Idia now sweating and uncertain himself. 

Of course they are bluffing, they want Idia to falter giving them an opening or some kind. 

All that aside we come back to you, and the you who is in Idia’s lap who have been purring deep in the scent of catnip had grown bored. Here you are, in front of many button panels, glowing button panels.

All of them are to witness your chaotic nature that prey upon those shiney buttons.

The first year all cheer.

“Thats it good cat, press all of the light up button!” Crewel whom had stolen the megaphone from Crowley.

The machines circuited, all the defense and offense dead on spot, rendering idia defenseless. 

You unaware of whatever had happened stay in his lap as he slumped.

He turned you around trying to lecture you.

But a look of your face with the cute cat ears, he was steaming red not from his anger but from the butterflies in his stomach.

“Darn it..” he then went back to hugging you. At least he will be caught dead cuddling you not alone. 

“You are cornered now, Shroud!” Leona shout could be heard from outside.

“ bust the door down jack!” Riddle whom hd just arrived in front of the door shouted

The door is slowly breaking open. Footsteps could be heard coming in front of the door.

Once the door bust open all of the people surrounding was pouring inside the room.

“Now time to give them back.”

You had turned into a cute cat.

They could do nothing but stare a gape.

“SHE TURNED….” Grim shouted

He held up a bottle of blue liquid, cradling you in his arm like a baby, “bow drink this.” He tip the bottle slowly, making you drink with your new mouth. 

“Ohh strawberry flavour, no wait blue berry? No wait cotton candy?” You enjoyed as you drink all of them. 

“HEADMASTER HEADMASTER!” A student ran up to the crowd

“What? im quite busy here.. “

“The inspector has arrived.” The student pants.

“WHATTT?!!”

“HURRYY HURRYY!! oh the headaches!" Crowley complained.

In the end you are in disguise as crewel pet when the inspector come, even though the dorm leaders protested claiming they could be the house pet of their dorm, but of course these caused another fight so crewel strictly rebutted these appeal and make you his personal pet.

Of course the inspector did some questioning, trying to find fault within the faculty.

“Mr. Crewel, i had thought you are more of a dog person than a cat.” 

“And?”

“It do come quite strange, based on this report the number of students here and the one present did not match could it be?”

“What a baseless accusation is this, what can’t a man love both dogs and cats? Off with you, you are making my baby scared.” He pet your head

“Ah.. alright..”

The day has finally over and you too return back to normal, crewel is insisting upon adopting you at least for your own protection, the dorm come to decide that you need to spend a certain amount of time in each dorm wearing their dorm uniform, since they said you look perfect in it, and you being you cannot found the heart to refuse them. 

And so it becomes your routine to spend a week in each dorm, sometimes they insisted that you stay in that dorm for the night too. Every one is pleased and happy unless of course some dorm whom tried to take you when it isn’t their turn and hence a chaotic fight begins once again. 

Oh the stress and headache you put Crowley into, not that he doesn’t deserve it. 

Through and through you just enjoy their chaotic nature and their company, there isn’t a single day that bores you with them around.
