If Nomura leaves "in the next few years" and decides to finish the series before he leaves, there would be no way for this Lost Master Arc to be more than 2 games. It takes them 7-8 years just to develop one game, and KH4 isn't finished yet as is. Just one additional game alone could possibly push his retirement back about 10 years. KH4 does have the potential to be the last since Nomura did say he intends to have it written that the story is complete. This is not outlandish to think given how he worded that he is not yet decided on finishing the series before he retires vs retiring and letting the series continue without him.
If he is absolutely going to retire in the next few (let's say 8) years and decides to finish the series before then, then at most we'd probably get a KH5 to finish the Quadratum story and really end the series. At minimum, (let's say 5 years) the story finishes with KH4.
If Nomura decides to hold off retirement until he finishes the series, then we can assume we're getting a longer saga at least a trilogy.
And obviously if he retires in 5-10 years and decides to let the series continue then the series will continue.
We will all have to wait and see, but please, don't come at people for speculating. Speculating is fun, the theories are fun. It's okay for people to wonder and speculate.
No one here (on Tumblr) did this for the record. I just saw comments elsewhere coming at others for interpreting Nomura's words differently than they which is ridiculous because there's 20 different ways you can interpret Nomura's answers.
No one knows for sure what will happen, all we can do is wait and see.

Whats funny is i usually forget my i smell cause I personally have a weak sense of smell, and have autism so can't sense anyones discomfort about it unless they directly say to me "hey i think your pants smell you should wash them!" I live a free life of ignorance of anyones judgement of my rank smell

I think we need to get more comfortable with the idea that sometimes shitty, racist, homophobic, bigoted people are still incredibly talented.
I feel like every time I see a post addressing someone’s shitty behavior the post also takes the time to mention that they’re not even good at [x] anyway. And that’s just not always true? Equating being good at a skill as being morally good is just not necessary. Someone can be a fantastic writer, can have a beautiful singing voice, can create breathtaking artwork, and still be a horrible person.
I know part of this is probably just the instinct to dislike everything about a person when you dislike them, but I also think this mindset leads to people defending creatives way past where they should, because if bad people create bad art, then if this person creates art that I like and resonates with me, then they can’t be a bad person!
And you know. That’s just not true. Those two things are simply completely unconnected and I think it’d be healthier if we all started disconnecting them in our heads.

Shocked how many people think you can just turn on a computer and leave it on for weeks or months or years and never turn it off and it'll be fine. Computers need their sleep, and sleep mode does not count

I can't stop thinking about the relationship between Jon and Helen as perhaps one of the most important ones in the entire show. They are narrative parallels for each other, and they both know it. They've both known it from the very start!
Helen walks into the Archives, paranoid, unsure of who to trust, and Jon sees himself in her. And he thinks "If i can help her, maybe there's hope for me too." Then he can't save her. The next time they meet, she's a monster. They're both monsters. There was never any other way their stories could have gone, their fates entwined from the very start.
And Helen answers his original thought with one of her own: "Maybe if we can help each other, there's hope for us both." But Jon looks at her and sees everything that he fears becoming, and so he turns her away, and refuses to accept that their stories are still one and the same.
Helen went to the last person who was ever kind to her, the only person who both knew her as a human and had the context to understand what she'd become, and he hated her. He hated her because he liked Helen, and told her that she couldn't be Helen.
So she stopped trying to be Helen, and embraced being a monster. Reveled in it even. Then Jon wakes up from a six month coma, more monster than person, and tries so hard to cling to the things that mattered to him when he was human. Even with no support, even with the entire archives staff against him, he chooses humanity and compassion over and over again.
And this is a direct threat to Helen's world view. Their stories are entwined. If Jon can continue to be a person even after everything he's been through, then she could have clung to her humanity too, if only she'd tried a little harder. And that terrifies her! She wants to conceptualize herself as someone who was completely overwhelmed by forces beyond her control, who never had a choice but to become a monster. She want's to be an innocent victim. But Jon argues with his actions that they'd both had choices.
And, Jon, in turn, holds out hope that she might make better choices until the very end.
This is the conflict between them for all of season 4 and 5. Jon wants to prove that they can both be decent people, and Helen wants to prove that they were never going to be anything but monsters. This is why she's so devoted to trying to goad Jon into enjoying his newfound godhood. She knows that they are the same, and wants that to mean that he has a spark of evil inside of him, and not that she was always capable of doing good.
When Jon kills her, she loses her life, but wins the argument. Helen is nothing but a dangerous monster who needs to be killed for the good of everyone, and in the moment he decides that, Jon dooms himself to the same fate. Their stories are one and the same. "If i can help her, maybe there's hope for me too." he thought. But he couldn't help her, refused to, even, in the one moment when it actually mattered. And thus, there was never hope for him.

hey sorry we put your boyfriend on a show where the game changes every time. yeah he has no idea what game he’s about to play. but he’ll be fine once he realizes the only way to win is by learning, the only way to learn is by playing, and the only way to begin is by beginning. yeah actually we’ll be beginning without further ado but you can pick him up after. sorry again.
