No offense but I feel like a lot of those pretentious hunger games posts about how the fandom "continues to ignore the message!" and how the movies "are bad representations of a great series and Suzanne Collins is a poor misunderstood author😡" are written to make the OP seem smart. There IS some truth these posts, but don't forget that Sunrise On The Reaping's book and movie were announced the same day. She clearly has SOME sort of contract or wants Lionsgate to make movies on her books. If she was THAT "misunderstood and angry at the film industry." like some people in this fandom claim then Haymitch would only get a book, not his own movie to go with it. Sorry.

Genderbend Percy should get a different name

So, I love genderbend shits, but GB!Percy's name should not stay the same.

Like, yeah, there's nothing wrong with naming your daughter Perseus and calling her Percy as a nickname, but why would you name your daughter after a male demigod when Atalanta is right there ????? If Sally named Percy after Perseus in canon because Perseus got a happy ending, then she should named Percy after Atalanta if he was a girl.

Plus, think of the pun / nickname potential ! Like, Atalantis, or something like that. And like Percy, she gets a nickname too, since her full name is a mouthful, like Tala or Ata, or Lani works too ! Like, think about it !

Point is, GB!Percy being named Atalanta is a hill I will die on and I want other people to know about it.

Katniss and Maysilee similarities (beyond the mockingjay pin)

I haven't seen anyone point these out yet and I love fierce older sisters so here we go:

・Both deeply loved their sisters and wanted to return to them.

・Never got to grow old with said sisters

・both had soft spots for younger and weaker tributes and helped them feel more at home. (maysilee making them tokens, Katniss protecting and allying with Rue)
