Alright this is it, the post with the AU I mentioned before.

Had this random idea of making Stranger, RW Basil (Rowan) and HS Basil as brothers.

Behold, The Three Inseparables (Rowan is made by eboyknees on Instagram)

STRANGER

Ever since mother and father went away due to work, they never came back nor were heard from ever again. Since that happened, Stranger grew angry towards them, they left their family behind and instead hired a caretaker for him and his brothers, when the youngest was just a newborn.

The caretaker went away a long time ago, he despises his real name and his friends call him "Stranger" as a joke, he's got a habit of being distant from people and not talking to any of his friends when he sees them, like a stranger.

He works all week, maintaining his brothers and giving them everything their parents couldn't.

ROWAN

The moment he realized that mom and dad wouldn't come back, his interests adapted another meaning.

His hobby of painting was to cope, his canvas often held the image of abandonment issues and his young paternal instincts as he was the one who took care of the youngest of them the most.

He studies and goes well, aspiring to be a great biologist, mostly for his younger brother who he's got a strong bond with.

He sells his works online, giving the money to Stranger so he could use it wiser, sometimes even just to give him a break.

Unlucky he, bullied in school for his sexual orientation and effeminate personality.

BASIL

Innocent and joyful, autistic.

We call him Lil Basil.

Hyper-fixated on dinosaurs, most of the time he's talking about them; has a lot of friends in school, but doesn't really talk to them due to being close to his best friend, Sunny, who also happens to be a dinosaur nerd.

Is constantly wondering about his parents, hopefully one day he’ll be able to meet them…

More fantasy au guys!! I can't believe I drew them and the dragons before any of the other human main characters

The Stranger is an ancient and powerful faerie who lives in a dark and foreboding forest, with no one else but his crow familiars, who he's able to see through the eyes of. Humans and magical creatures alike avoid trespassing on his sector of the forest, as he is known to curse anyone who gets in his way.

Rowan was the faerie who lived in that forest before The Stranger, and under his ownership, the forest was beautiful and a haven for many animals and other fae. Hundreds of years ago, The Stranger took over the forest, and Rowan hasn't been seen since. Theories about what happened to him continue to circulate, from him having been killed by The Stranger, to The Stranger keeping him imprisoned somewhere, to Rowan having fled and now in hiding, biding his time to confront The Stranger and take back what is his. Or so the stories say...

Stranger's design was inspired by The Beast from otgw, specifically a design from someone on instagram who drew him as the beast in an otgw crossover (god I wish I could remember who it was...)

His wings weren't based on a specific moth, but the eye patterns were based on the eye spots that certain moths have

Yeah speaking of, those aren't extra eyes, they're just patterns

He is Tall. Like 7 feet. Big

He hasn't had to fly in like hundreds of years so he's sort of forgotten how to. He sometimes forgets he even has wings

Rowan's wings are based on a luna moth

He is Not Tall. He's the same height as Basil, like 5'3

His cloak grows flowers based on his emotions, with flowers blooming on it if he's happy (like the pokemon shaymin)

My reference sheet for Rowan in my real-world/musician nightshade AU, Stray!

Now, I may keep calling it a nightshade AU, but betaboy is just as much of an important relationship in it as the nightshade is. I love this angry fella. I love the person he becomes when he's with Omori and Flower. I'm sure he can fix Omori, and himself in the process.

He's been fun to write, I can't wait to introduce him!
