I’ve gotta admit as much as I know Darabella is a flawed ship (and some of the ppl who are anti for it have legit criticisms I love y’all for pointing it out cause it frustrates the hell out of me too trust) they’ll always just kind of be it for me.

Because as much as it was an “I can fix him” trope, as much as Rosabella could be selfish and Daring’s flaws got cranked up to 1000, she was also the first person to look at him after his destiny, the thing he dedicated his life to, failed, when people were questioning him as a prince and putting pressure on his and Apple’s relationship and tell him that, like, maybe it would be alright? Maybe this wasn’t his destiny, and maybe that was okay.

And the part that really gets me? She’s the first person after this happens to tell him that it doesn’t matter what’s on the outside, which as much as you can like other Daring ships or him whatever he desperately needed to hear. Not even cause he was selfish, that’s not what I’m saying, but bc he placed his whole identity on this image that people concocted for him based on him appearing the perfect prince. He was handsome, he was talented, and he was handsome! So who cares about him as a person?

Idk man. You spend four seasons (I watch the specials on Netflix so that’s why four idk if it’s three to some ppl or whatever tho) watching him be praised for his looks, watching girls fawn over him, and of course he enjoys it so nobody really questions how much he enjoys it. And then you get this girl, this girl who owes him nothing, this girl who (contrary to popular belief apparently) has a life of her own and people she cares about outside of him, and she’s nice to him. And she’s the first person after everything happens to just be nice to him, for the sake of being nice. Something about that will always hit different for me

Kind of wish the Autobots had a better reason for needing to destroy Megatron’s Matrix of Leadership at the end there

Because like, the Autobots have for the most part been the aggressors in this portion of the story. Like they keep crossing the border, which was one of Megatron’s express rules

And I mean okay sure, Astrotrain did shoot Jetfire with the intention of basically death, and kidnapped him and Ratchet afterwards to make sure it worked right this time. And Megatron did point Wildwheel in the direction of the Autobots after trashing his side, and also made sure the shield only worked for his side of the planet, he clearly doesn’t care about the Autobots

And I mean, I get not trusting Megatron to not cause problems or restart the war. But also, he saved your asses from the Quintessons, and his universe hopping adventure seems to have at least somewhat made him better? Again, he came back to save you guys when he had no reason to, that you know of. And he actually agreed to peace for once, to the point where rebuilding cities has actually been happening

Like the Decepticons haven’t really done anything other than that Astrotrain incident and I guess Wildwheel. And that unspace ray wasn’t even for them, but I guess they didn’t know that at the time. But again, they weren’t the ones hopping the border constantly

And it’d be one thing if these were off the books incidents of Autobots breaking protocol. But no, not only is Optimus well aware of these incidents, he’s actively encouraging them

Optimus, buddy. Megatron’s actually agreed to peace this time and you keep breaking one of his main terms. He hasn’t even done anything until the Astrotrain incident, which only happened because Jetfire was in Decepticon territory. You didn’t even have a legitimate reason to distrust him this time

And going back to the Matrix thing because I got carried away there, it was very convenient for Optimus that the eviler Megatron showed up and stole back his Matrix, needing it to be destroyed to save them all. Because of that hadn’t happened, he’d be in a lot of trouble for storming the other’s territory, not just with his forces but with himself, and demanding his Matrix must be destroyed for relatively weak reasons. Like if it had been the other way around, there’s no doubt war would be declared again

I get they needed to destroy the Matrix to get Windblade back, and they want their friend back, but bigger picture here. Megatron needs the Matrix to try and defeat a far more dangerous and malicious version of himself, which the Autobots may not know, but he has not given them a good reason to suspect he’s misusing his Matrix and that it needs to be destroyed. He’s only used it to help them. And yeah Windblade, but she is only one bot and they aren’t in dire need of a Cityspeaker at the moment. Like there’s no way Megatron would have agreed to this, even without the other Megatron thing

If they had some other reason to destroy Megatron’s Matrix, like it being a malicious Matrix from another universe that would have harmed Cybertron if it stayed, or if it being from another universe and being in this one for too long was making it unstable, thus potentially harming Megatron or worse if he continued to have it, then maybe it could be more justified

But like, as is, the Autobots were just being the aggressors here

Especially since Kwazii tries so hard to appear “cool” around the crew. I can imagine him thinking

But in all seriousness, deep down he’d be so happy to something to show for his childhood, especially since he was abandoned for so much of it. He’d also be enjoying how his photos show how he was a true pirate from day one.

Notes on food, fish, and translation errors.

Hán and Ankiusk are good friends, but during the time that they’re getting their medical certifications they’re both still learning the Galactic Standardized language. That combined with Ankiusk’s lack of a jaw to make the click (!) letter, there are a lot of communication issues.

And I mean… what do you call an alien animal in an alien language so that a third alien can relate it to yet another alien animal. Language may be evil but comparative xenobiology is even more so.

I would love to read some of your thoughts on the severe health consequences of uncontrollable obesity. The runaway diabetes, who’s medication is only making a fatty even fatter as their blood sugar spikes from the onslaught of processed sugars, and high fructose corn syrup. That would be hot to explore.

With regard to fetishizing health issues I am particular with it. Although I do thank both HFCS *and* artificial sweeteners for the assist with getting us into widespread super morbid obesity territory, that’s for sure. I mention them both because they work together, imo. People drink artificial sweeteners because they are trying to cut back on sugar, they actually cause you to crave sugar, most sugar available in the US at least is HFCS, no matter what anyone says HFCS is absolutely liquid obesity, just use your eyes. I both love the taste of Diet Coke and a self reinforcing loop that always gets people fatter :)

Most of my interests in the health realm revolve around enabling the extremely obese to stay that way and get bigger indefinitely for the maximum amount of time.

So that means if they have diabetes, how can we manage that such that they can keep gaining weight —

If they have heart problems how can we work around that to keep them getting fatter —

I find any type of assistive technology in this regard— mobility aids, oxygen, cranes, bariatric beds, slings— extremely hot. Anything that can extinguish all thought of “maybe I should turn back now” on the part of the feedee.

Needing multiple pieces of equipment and various medications and treatments so you can maintain a minimum 30k calorie a day lifestyle is totally possible and so I’m hoping to speed along making that normal.

It’s like, you’ll be fine, that’s what medicine and technology is for, babe. :*
