i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.

I wasn’t able to do a fic yesterday so doubled up with yesterday’s and today’s prompt. shhh, don’t tell anyone. 🤫  

“James!” Regulus yells from the porch. “Can I please go inside? I’m freezing!” Regulus shoves his hands in his pockets trying to decide if he’s angry or just annoyed.  

“I know! I know!” James calls back. He’s facing away from Regulus, adjusting something Regulus can’t see. “I’m sorry. I swear I was ready and then it just—” James grunts as he moves something. “—and I just need to—” He huffs with frustration at something else “—but I swear I’m almost—” Regulus sees something topple over. James’ shoulders slump forward, and he drops his head with a sigh.

“Never mind.” James tells him, turning to face Regulus, looking like the saddest kicked puppy. He walks up to the porch, eyes on the ground. “I’m really sorry, it’s not ready yet. Go inside and I’ll try to fix it and come get you when I’m sure it’s ready.”

“What is it?” Regulus tries to peer around James, but there’s not much to look at.

James takes an exasperated breath. “It was supposed to be snowmen.” He pouts, and Regulus raises a curious eyebrow. James sighs, “My dad and I used to make showmen of ourselves every year at our house and it was my favorite tradition. So I thought since it’s our first year in our own house, I wanted to make snowmen of you and me, but—” James steps to the side revealing two piles of snow. “—it’s not really working.”

Just when Regulus thought he was angry and annoyed, James has to go and be the most adorable human on the planet. And honestly, it’s taking significant effort for Regulus not to cry right now.

“James…” Regulus starts.

“It’s okay.” James kisses him. “I know you’re cold. Go inside and get warm and I promise they’ll be great the next time I call you.” James tells him and it’s tinged with sadness and frustration.

Regulus takes another look at the snow piles then looks back at James. “Okay.” Regulus tells him.

“Okay.” James says feigning determination.

James walks back to the snow piles and Regulus walks inside.

James isn’t sure what he’s doing wrong or why these stupid snowmen just won’t stay together. He’s about to give up when he hears footsteps in the snow behind him.

Regulus is walking towards him wearing a heavy coat, a hat and scarf and pulling on his gloves.

“What are you doing?” James asks.

“I’m helping.”

“Reg, you don’t have to—” James gets cut off when Regulus kisses him.

“Now, I’ve never actually made a snowman before, but you can teach me, right?” Regulus asks and it’s taking significant effort for James not to cry right now.

“Yeah.” James says. “Yeah, I can teach you.”

It’s never okay to lock a headmate away, never. They could be the worst person in the world, you still shouldn’t lock them away. There’s a difference between keeping headmates away from eachother and taking away someone’s privacy, free will and connections. You are abandoning that headmate, you are telling them that they are not worth helping, that they don’t deserve to get better. If talking it out doesn’t work for them there are other options, I’d recommend giving them their own space to speak their mind without threat of mistreatment for it, for starters. If someone really doesn’t want help don’t force it on them, just let them know it’s always an option and leave it at that. -Ange

I watched ‘Fight Club’ with commentary from Chuck Palahniuk and Jim Uhls (screenwriter) and here are some of may favourite bits of information from it:

- the narrators condo was modelled after a condo Fincher used to live in

- Palahniuk owned the ying-yang table after the movie

- when Fincher first read the book he was so excited that we went to New York to pitch it to Pitt, and Brad Pitt was filming ‘Meet Joe Black’ at the time so Fincher sat on his door step until 1am and pitched him the role over a beer

- this is a direct quote from Palahniuk about their ‘post first fight sharing a beer scene’ “now this is so weird, drinking out of the same thing is like sort of a short hand for a love relationship in so many movies. um, that i couldn’t believe they were sharing a beer. it just seemed like such a powerful symbol, metaphor.” I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!!!!

- at the publishing party for the book, one of Palahniuk’s friends had buttons made that said “I want to have Tyler Durden’s abortion”

- Direct quote from Palahniuk again “and it’s funny because there’s a whole undercurrent, like her alluding to him wearing the dress, her asking if it was a man or woman who kissed his hand. In a way she’s re enforcing this possible homoerotic thing on the side”

Good morning 🙏🏼

I want to thank everyone their support with reblogging my stuff over the years and reblogging some of the context of the situation.

Tumblr and Instagram is filled with the most supportive people I’ve ever had the chance of meeting. The last time something like this happened, I didn’t have much support, not even from people I thought were close to me. It took me a year or two to be okay with being perceived again in fandoms. So I’m very grateful for everything.

I just wanted to post that I appreciate all of the asks and I’ve been reading all of them. I actually get anxious I’m spamming everyone too much so I probably won’t reply to everything. Please don’t feel pressured to support me financially, there’s is a free option on patreon to follow. I’ll post future project plans and occasional updates because I still love comics and I still love DC/Marvel. I do enjoy having people following along for my art/reading journey so I would always be okay with people just following for free. My brain is telling me this post is too long now so I will go 🙏🏼😭
