Do people write fanfiction of 19th century Russian literature? Because I for sure have some crack shipping ideas for Smerdyakov and Raskolnikov... in a AU in which they never regret their crimes... which you know, it's more complicated than that, there's a lot of angst, but I do think that Raskolnikov's mommy issues and melancholic nature would pair really well with Smerdyakov's daddy issues and subversive nature... also they're both Dostoyevsky's characters which means they're already halfway into homo-affectionate territory / angsty / extremely passionate territory, also these two are both interesting weirdos and they would have the most unhinged conversations late at night (I'm a romantic I know)

One thing I always hated in the literary groups I tried to be a part of was how joyless the discussions were, Dostoevsky books can be genuinely funny and laughably intense, without being less complex or philosophical, you can have multiple experiences and discussions you know... I mean, in a just world you should be able to crack ship Smerdyakov and Raskolnikov, that's what I mean

One Piece AU where Doffy and Rosi both Live, and not only that—they get to interact peacefully without worrying about the law or being on different sides:

In this fic, Doffy's not quite as bad—he is still a notorious pirate who is powerful and cruel, but it isn't to the point that the Marines go so far as to send Rosinante undercover to take him down from the inside, no.

In this fic, the DonQuixote brothers don't get to interact until Doflamingo is offered the Warlord position—strangely, or not so strangely—a lot sooner than he was in canon...

Could Rosi have something to do with this?

He absolutely did; He begged and pleaded and bartered with Sengoku so much...

They first meet when Doflamingo is brought in to officially accept his position as Warlord, and Rosinante nearly gets himself sautéed when he throws himself at Doffy if it were not for the fact that, one: slicing up a Marine Commander within moments of arriving would not do well for Doflamingo's goal of becoming a Warlord and gaining immunity, and two: moments before the Marine made contact, Doflamingo swore he heard his baby brother calling out his name—the voice was different, very obviously different, far deeper than little Rosi's ever was, and yet...

There was just something about it that rang true and familiar—in his chest, in his heart, in his soul—somehow he knew, could feel it in his bones, in every fiber of his being, that that was his little brother's voice, all grown up.

Doflamingo showed up alone, and thank god he did, thank god the only people around for this first meeting are Sengoku, Rosinante's adoptive father, and Tsuru, who was the one to escort Doflamingo in.

Thank god, because otherwise Doffy may have acted differently, put up a colder or more arrogant, more cruel front—but with just his baby brother and two soft-bellied Marines...

Doffy hugged back.

In this AU, Doffy and Rosi would be able to meet up whenever they want as technically-allies and neither of them would hesitate to abuse this.

Little Gerson Headcanon

Okay, so, I don't have any good reasons for this headcanon, but every time I think about what jobs the monsters would get after the barrier is broken, I always put Gerson as a librarian.

Like, his Deltarune counterpart wrote books, so that might be part of it, but in Deltarune he was also a teacher and I just... kind of don't see it? At least, not for Undertale Gerson, and I am 100% certain that this is just me, but Gerson just gives me librarian vibes.

Like, I know for a fact that he would have great book recommendations, and that he would joke around with the parents while the kids ran around and looked through books, but he would also be really good with the kids too. Even the shy ones.

He'd also talk about monster history like he does in the game. That's not really a librarian thing, but obviously Gerson loves to teach. I just don't see him as a teacher as much as I see him as a librarian.

You know what? Maybe this is because all of my favorite librarians were "old" people who had a lot of energy and enthusiasm, and Gerson fits that in my head. It's kind of funny, I can't remember actually talking to those librarians myself (I was and am pretty shy), but I never felt bored when my parents socialized with them. I really enjoyed listening to them talk about stuff.

One of those librarians introduced five or six year old me to the Angelina Ballerina books, which got me into ballet (which I still love, even if I don't dance anymore). And I can totally imagine Gerson doing that for someone, human or monster. And the thing is, that's totally something he could do as a teacher too, and probably did do in Deltarune. Sculpting is a love of mine that I would have never discovered if it weren't for my high school art teacher (same with music and composing from my orchestra teacher.)

So yeah, I guess my personal experiences make me think of Gerson as a librarian, and not really any canon information about him. Usually I don't base headcanons off of just pure vibes but Gerson's cool, and libraries are cool, so they should go together.

I hope there is going to be a an (attempted) infiltration mission in Canto VI as it has been the case during Canto II or Canto V for example. Just imagining the sinners and Dante trying to infiltrate a ball, it’s just too funny.

I don’t care if they succeed or not in their attempt to infiltrate the place, I just want to see the sinners and Dante dress up in beautiful dresses / suits acting like little gremlins, being so sure that they will be able to infiltrate this ball without being noticed. It would be such a good excuse to have a masked ball.

Of course the running gag would want them to be discovered immediately.
