My little cute boy is here at last! My first 1/6 BJD and darker than any of my resin dolls. He's Myou Doll Alan in coffee resin. I'm so delighted with his look and poseability. Even though he constantly bends his knees. I got him with a free event head. I chose Gina because I plan to turn that head into his not-so-identical twin brother. So yes, I'm expecting another Myou Alan in the nearest future. The second Alan head will have pierrot/clown faceup. I also got a pair of brown eyes but I prefer eyes from Ashuradark and I think my boy looks much better with those blue eyes. The coffee colour is really nice, I think it looks like light latte with some yellowish undertones. I made a comparison with a slightly yellowed Dream Valley normal (on the left, artificial lighting) and DollZone pink (on the right, natural lighting).

Hi everyone! I will have several big expenses over the summer (wisdom tooth removal, newer car, potential ADHD and pcos evals/diagnoses, etc) and I want to make sure they are as... least-impacting as possible on my savings, especially since most are medical and I have no idea how much my insurance is actually going to cover... so any reblogs and shares are always appreciated!

Harucasting Smile Maji head: She’s some kind of tan resin, but I don’t 100% remember which one. Her previous owner split the head and body so the coa went with the body. I remember her previous owners name & email, but I don’t recall their instagram handle. Maji has thankfully NOT been recasted so I do not worry about her legitimacy, but I wanted to be upfront about that detail. Her magnets need to be reglued and she still has faceup residue. As with any of my Harucasting dolls, in respect to Haru’s wishes, I will only sell his dolls to pro-artist/anti-recast individuals.

5stardoll Elf Elaine: She was painted by her previous owner and given a mani-pedi which is chipping as well as pretty purple body shimmer. Her face still has faceup residue on it. She’s really cute but I need to make room — I am willing to sell her head separately, though. According to her card of authenticity she was produced in late 2018. I believe she is in normal pink skin.

Latidoll Blue Yern:

Yern is a slim MSD sized doll and the Blue (MSD) line has been long discontinued. Yern still has her coa and Latidoll manual, as well as the emblem in and outside of her head. I am not sure of the specifics but her torso has had some kind of mod job for mobility reasons?

Yern is from early 2009 and has certainly yellowed, but her yellowing appears to be consistent. Yern would probably benefit from a restringing with thicker elastics but I can get her to pose and stand just fine. Her s hooks were replaced and she has traditional/standard bjd s hooks in her wrists and ankles. For whatever reason one elbow likes to stay slightly bent. Yern will be shipped UNSTRUNG so that would be a good opportunity for her elastics to be changed; she still has an o hook for her head.

Her faceup is holding up really well considering it is quite old but please be aware that it is old, has some wear, and it is not factored into the price I am selling Yern at. The biggest sign of wear I noticed as a small dark streak near her temple.

She has some damage near her foot/ankle. Considering her age I think she has been holding up really well.

Dollzone MSD Girl Body: normal pink resin. Arrived from Alice collections in late 2022, spent most of its time in the box. Asking $200 + shipping.

Harucasting Big Geuru: She is in neul medium tan. She has a face up by @tonocha331. She has an extra pair of hands and comes with her box and card of authenticity. She will come without clothes or eyes.

She has some small s hook scratches in one wrist from a previous owner and several small scratches on her belly. Her face up seems to be in overall good condition other than three shiny spots on the side of her head. $550 + shipping

Logandolls Primrose: Primrose in light tan (coffee) with additional heel feet (strung) and an extra pair of hands. She does not come with a company box but she has a card of authenticity and comes with a blanket that I believe logandolls made for her. Received in a trade from my friend @groovyblueworld! She will NOT come with a pair of eyes. If desired, I can ship her in an old Dollzone company box for extra protection. Ordinarily she would cost $480 new but I am asking $440 + shipping - you basically get the extra hands and feet for free and an extra $10 discount. I can also sell a Flower Primrose faceplate in Resinsoul normal for an additional $40.

My dear little Ursa finally got a fresh faceup after close to 10 years. I really love her vibe now, she looks so much more lively than with her old one! I also swapped her eyes for a size smaller than before.

It's amazing what a difference 10 years of practice makes! My linework got bolder and more refined/cleaner, along with my blushing. I don't just blush in fleshtones anymore, I also add blues and purples strategically to breathe more life into a doll.

After a good 12 years, my wife finally asked me to repaint her classic Dollzone April in normal pink. The old faceup had definitely faded over the past decade, and she was the only resin doll in the household that didn't have a faceup by me, yet. So it was exciting to finally get to paint her.

This doll was a first anniversary gift from me, and had come with a default faceup which I'd modified to have freckles.

I lost track of time, so the lighting outside wasn’t that good. Anyway, Lily’s head arrived today! She’s a Doll Chateau Alva on a Dollzone body. She’s my first hybrid, and finally I have a Dollzone doll that isn’t in peach resin lol. I chose pink for the head, and the in-stock body is also pink. Also, my first Doll Chateau doll. She’s so cute! Alva’s my favorite sculpt, so I’m happy I got it during the discontinuation sale 🥰

Lily is friends with Bennett and Colin. The three of them all work in/for the magical pop-up library. Lily is head in the nonfiction department. She also loves to laugh and bring laughter to others and not just knowledge.

Doll faceup under cut (word heavy lmao)

I picked up this Dollzone Mo for pretty cheap because he was VERY old and yellowed (made in 2010 so he's very old!!) And the more that i thought about the direction I wanted to go with him, the more I realized I really wanted to reshell (basically same oc but in a different doll sculpt) one of my old dolls that i got rid of years ago. I had sent the original doll off to get his faceup done by a friend but had unfortunately deleted all the pics of this doll so all I had to go off was memory and not a muscle memory of doing the faceups years ago or pictures. He's not the same sculpt but he has a lot of the same features, ie the pouty lips, nose, and eye shape so I was pretty happy that when I got him yesterday, I could FEEL that it was gonna be the right doll to reshell Theo (old dolls name) into. The faceup was definitely a more complicated matter as Theo had a very natural looking faceup which um. Not my strong suit, I love doing big dramatic makeup but I was trying to recapture the same vibes i had from my old doll. With how yellowed he was, I also had to work with that when I was blushing as to not make the head TOO yellow or red. Thankfully I work on yellowed resin a lot so I was moderately confident that I'd be ok.

I did something a TINY bit different than my normal order of how I do a faceup and moved right onto acrylics. He has freckles all over his face so I figured doing them very early on would make it look the most natural under any other makeup I was doing. I used a toothbrush, dipped it in a warm brown-orange paint, and flicked it all over the face, cleaning up with a wet and dry q tip, purposefully leaving behind spots of pigmentation on the skin as it's something that I have under my freckles so I wanted to give Theo that too. While I was at it, I used a cool toned brown pretty close to the skin tone to add a bit of an eyeliner (in the way that it'll actually pop a bit with the eyes in place versus looking unfinished) and a waterline using a peachy pink color.

The freckles do NOT photograph super well but they look really good so I'm happy with how they turned out! I then return to the pastels to add more face shading and start on his eyebrows

The eyebrows were VERY hard to do and very scary. 1. I'm VERY bad at eyebrow symmetry. 2. The pastels weren't working so i had to only use a pencil (which I've done w a few faceups now but it was very scary). It was overall very frightening but I think I'm definitely getting a bit better at eyebrows in general :) lip blushing was started which I'll probably do a few more coats of pastel on them and then draw the lines on and be done. Really outside of that I'm nearly done :) natural faceups are a bit easier but they just are NOT what I'm used to so it's a bit of a learning curve to get it looking like a human face instead of whatever silly vibes I'm going for if I'm doing a more dramatic look

The sealant is wet here (forgot to take a pic before i sealed lol) but i just did small little darkening in some areas, I think my next coat will be adding some more shadows to the eyes and lips then I'll be done 👍)

I added some lashes as well as darkening the eyeliner and adding lip lines (hard to see in the pic but they're there 👍) and added some shadows but I finished minus the gloss! For how small he is and how I haven't done a natural faceup in 2 years, I'm pretty happy with it!

And one rq pic of him with an eye in :) I'm really happy with it and I'll have to make him a wig soonish but I'm really glad to have done my own faceup for this doll 👍

I got a new doll! She’s a Dollzone Pink Bear that I was lucky enough to find second hand on a bjd Facebook adoption group. Her wig should be coming in today, the one she has on in the photos is just temporary and pretty messy lol

Eeeee hee hee hee!! Got my bjds out for the first time in Years. Going to wipe this Dollzone lovely and completely redo her. She's too pink and healthy looking for my taste. Plus their faceup's ear is chipped, and I want her insides deep red and glossy wet looking like they should be. Same with those wounds. GLOSS and SUBTLE DISEASED BLUSHING EEEE HEE HEE HEE

Cute! Unboxing the Daisy Head by Dollzone! No Talking ASMR by Deko. My Dollzone Daisy head arrived and she is so CUTE. I ordered her in purple resin. The resin looks gray because the background is purple, but Daisy is light purple. It was the same with my Dream Valley Freya when I opened her against my purple background. I wonder if I should use a different color background when opening purple resin dolls. I might have to look into that for future videos. If you have watched my previous videos of my recent Resinsoul unboxing, then you might remember that I ordered a Resinsoul body to go with this Daisy head. Unfortunately, the colors do not match. I expected this so I have two options: 1) Create a fade/paint drop effect from the Dollzone purple to the Resinsoul purple. I have a few ideas for this. 2) Order a new resin-matched body from Resinsoul. I thought that if the resins did not match I would sell Shan. However, I kiiiiind of want to keep her and do something with the pinkish resin. I don't like pink, but it's a resin color I don't have in my collection so I am interested in what I can come up with painting/styling wise.
