How has my week been? Well, on Wednesday I had the most disappointing critique of my life with my professor, on Thursday my dog died, on Friday a piece I’ve been working on for months broke in the kiln, and today the people who did my oil change fucked it up and my engine in my car is blown up :)

This 4th of July I’m stealing the patriotism euphoria that’s usually associated with assholes idolizing the worst attributes of this country because fuck ‘em I live here too and remembering the things this country actually got Right is an important exercise when trying to rally anyone to want to defend it in November SO putting my money where my mouth is I’ll start easy and say I really like National Parks!! It’s rad how many of them there are and how they’re actual set up to preserve some of the most beautiful wild areas in our country while still letting people visit to enjoy and experience nature!! (Less important but I love how they put national parks on the quarters I think that’s real fun)

Anyway, I wanted to draw these two together but HEAR ME OUT-

They have a queerplatonic relationship. And I’m going to talk about it for just a second.

I like the idea of them staying rivals/friends and eventually forming a strong bond after some time. Like, they actively seek one another out in order to compete for something that doesn’t really matter but gives them an excuse to hang out and trash talk each other. This eventually forms a closer bond than either of them had expected and both realize that they want to be a part of each other’s lives (and annoy each other to death).

After all, who else is going to be their sworn rival?

However, considering it’s… them, I imagine they dance around the discussion until it becomes a bit too much to ignore. Like, something happening that makes them finally sit down and actually talk with one another. Even then it’d be a struggle.

re: this video… anon 😭 i had suspicions but it is so much worse to have them confirmed that really was like. trevor’s first Public Appearance without jamie AND post-broken ankle which is traumatic in and of itself no wonder every beat reporter was like ‘oh yeah trevor’s just devastated’

I know some people really don’t like that the movies tie into the manga and vice versa but I really do because it’s not necessarily Required Viewing but it does add to the experience of the manga and I think it’s a fun and clever way to have done both works simultaneously while maintaining a consistent “canon”

Like my friend watched Broly last night so I watched it with them and I realized only then that Vegeta’s guilt in the Granolah arc is, while perfectly understandable on its own in the context of the manga, a potentially direct result of what Paragus said to him about being responsible for the actions of his father.

Hey y’all, so this blog is probably gonna be on a VERY SHORT hiatus. Just like. Literally less than a week.

The short long of it all is that my parents are coming in tonight for the holidays and unfortunately as much as I tired I didn’t have time to queue up enough stuff for that period of time.

somehow i can see reality as it is right now and i understand that i’m a normal person who’s doing a lot of good for my local community and trying my best and has a lot of value as a person and is working exceptionally hard juggling work, school, and volunteering and is generally well-liked by everyone i meet and like. wow. can i bottle this feeling? can i always feel this way?
