Say Goodbye to Pet Scratching: The Benefits of Veterinary Formula Itch Relief Spray
As pet owners, nothing is more distressing than seeing our furry friends constantly scratching, licking, or suffering from irritated skin. Whether it’s caused by allergies, insect bites, or even just a dirty or matted coat, hot spots and itchy skin can make life uncomfortable for both dogs and cats. Fortunately, there’s an easy solution available to help you keep your pets happy and itch-free – the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Spray.
This 8oz spray is not only easy to use but also provides quick and effective relief from itchy, irritated skin. In this article, we’ll break down exactly how this product works, why it’s highly recommended by veterinarians, and why it’s a must-have for pet owners who want to provide their pets with the best care possible.
Why Choose Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Spray?
1. Quick and Effective Relief for Sensitive Skin
If your dog or cat has been scratching excessively or licking their coat due to discomfort, this spray offers a quick solution. It's specifically designed to help alleviate the sensitive skin that often results from conditions like hot spots, which can be caused by allergies, insect bites, or wet, dirty fur. The spray works immediately to calm the skin, providing relief and reducing irritation.
2. Promotes Healthy Skin and Coat
This medicated spray does more than just soothe itchy skin; it also promotes a healthy skin and coat. Thanks to ingredients like Wheat Germ Oil, which is known for its ability to moisturize and nourish the skin, this product ensures that your pet's coat stays shiny and soft. It tackles both the symptoms and the root cause of itching, making it ideal for long-term skin care.
3. Use Between Washes for Ongoing Support
Unlike shampoos, which require you to bathe your pet, the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray can be used between washes for continuous relief. The formula is designed to be applied directly to the affected areas without needing to rinse it off. So, even on busy days, you can quickly spritz your pet’s coat and give them the comfort they deserve.
4. Vet-Recommended for Safe Use
This product is paraben and dye-free, making it a safe and non-toxic choice for your pets. It’s vet-recommended for both dogs and cats, meaning that you can trust its formulation to be gentle on your pets’ skin. The fact that it’s free from harmful chemicals like parabens ensures that it won’t cause further irritation or complications.
5. Affordable and Effective
Pet care can sometimes be expensive, but the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Spray offers an affordable solution without compromising on effectiveness. It’s packed with powerful ingredients that do the job right, without breaking the bank. As fellow pet parents, we understand how important it is to provide quality care at a price that’s manageable.
Key Ingredients and Their Benefits
1. Wheat Germ Oil
Wheat Germ Oil is known for its high content of vitamin E, which plays a critical role in nourishing and moisturizing the skin. It helps restore the skin’s natural oils, ensuring that your pet's coat stays soft and healthy while preventing dryness that can lead to more itching.
2. Moisturizing Ingredients
In addition to Wheat Germ Oil, this spray contains other moisturizing ingredients that hydrate the skin, calm irritation, and protect the coat from further damage. These ingredients ensure your pet stays comfortable and itch-free.
3. Anti-Inflammatory Agents
The formula also includes anti-inflammatory agents that reduce swelling and redness. This is especially useful for pets with inflamed hot spots, as it helps soothe the affected area and prevents the issue from worsening.
How to Use Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Medicated Spray
Using this product is simple:
Step 1: Shake the bottle well before use.
Step 2: Hold the bottle 4 to 6 inches away from your pet’s fur.
Step 3: Spray directly onto the affected area of the skin, ensuring even coverage.
Step 4: Massage the product into the skin if necessary, but there's no need to rinse it off.
This spray is safe to use on dogs and cats over 12 weeks of age. For best results, apply the spray as needed, especially when your pet starts to show signs of discomfort, such as excessive scratching or licking.
When Should You Use This Spray?
You should consider using this medicated spray whenever your pet shows signs of itchiness, scratching, or licking. It’s particularly helpful in the following situations:
Hot spots: Moist, red patches of skin caused by excessive licking or irritation.
Allergies: Reactions to pollen, dust, or certain foods.
Insect bites: Relief from itching caused by flea or mosquito bites.
Dirty or matted fur: If your pet’s coat gets dirty, it can lead to itching and irritation.
Why Veterinarians Recommend This Product
Veterinarians often recommend the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Hot Spot & Itch Relief Spray because it’s both safe and effective for a wide range of skin conditions. Its non-irritating formula makes it a good choice for pets with sensitive skin, and its powerful ingredients provide fast-acting relief from common skin issues.

Understanding Digestion and Enzymes: How They Impact Your Health
Digestion and Enzymes is a complex process that plays a critical role in our overall health and wellbeing. At the center of this process are enzymes, which help to break down the foods we eat into smaller molecules that our bodies can absorb and use for energy.

BLACK NOIR | EARVING (the boys)
—
“Promotion” (Black Noir x Fem!Reader)
| Being Black Noir’s new handler and him becoming obsessed with you since Mr. Edgar himself assigned you to him.
| SFW, vought employee!reader, (TW: Noir is kind of stalking the Reader, who’s uncomfortable but adapting mostly)
| 1k+ words
“You want me to…what?”
“Be Noir’s new personal handler.” He fans his hands out on the table with a shrug and gives you a disarming smile. “You’ll be expected to parlay direct mission instructions from me, accompany him to said missions and stay with the deployment team. I expect you to give written reports on his performance at the end of every day, active mission or not…”
Your eyes continue to widen as his barrage keeps going. This job would require you to be present for everything short of Noir wiping his ass and even then you’ll be outside the restroom.
Mr. Edgar finishes, gives you an expectant look, and you clear your throat.
“And, what if I don’t want the new position?”
“I don’t see why not.” He shrugs, “I mean unless you don’t think you’re good enough for the promotion. Then I suppose I’ll just have to tell Ashley her recommendation was for naught.”
You laugh.
“No no, that’s fine. There’s no need to tell her anything…” you gulp, watching the man just look back at you before taking a second more to inhale, “…ex-cept that her recommendation payed off.”
He tilts his head and it feels like his eyes are boring through your own, boiling your brain to mush. Your voice is small as you push the rest of your words out in one exhale.
“And that I’ll be starting my new position tomorrow. Sir.”
You stretch a smile across your face and hiss out a sigh of relief as that finally gets the man to respond.
He instantly reanimates, reaching atop his desk to hand you a secure black portfolio made from hard plastic.
“That’s great. I’m glad you decided to take on this new journey, Ms. L/n. May it serve you well. Have a good day.”
You don’t dare drop your smile as you take the offered portfolio and shove it under your arm.
“Right.” You take a moment to mourn the loss of your old job before nodding, “Thank you for the opportunity, Sir. You have a good day as well.”
The older man nods back at you, attention immediately gone back to his computer monitor afterward. You blow out air from your nose and then turn on your heels.
It’s not until you’ve left the board room that it hits you.
“Shit.”
The man had just played you. Goddamn Edgar and his resoluteness. Once he’d decided to “ask” you about the upgrade in position he never intended for it to be an actual request.
You rub your temple and head to the restroom. At least you had the rest of the hours in the day before tackling your new job.
You hunker down in the stall after peeing to look over the papers Mr. Edgar gave you. As you're skimming through a whole lot of shit marked “classified” or “redacted” you have the stray thought to be glad that Translucent’s creep ass wasn’t here to ogle you and be all in your business anymore.
Thank the higher power for small mercies, you suppose.
All the snippets of information you're gathering are kind of baffling. Legal name: Earving (of all things), biological male, six foot two, African-American (that’s fun; may be the reason he took such a liking to you too, not many black people made it to the top floors of Vought after all). You dog-ear a packet about some sort of imaginary animals he sees in his mind before looking over a page about a severe peanut allergy. Hmm.
By the end of the day you’ve nearly gotten all the way through Noir’s portfolio, and you’ve also worked up an itch to get out of your skin that means you’re not working overtime worth a goddamn.
At six o’clock on the dot all of your crap is already quite thoroughly packed, your former workspace - barren thing that it already was due to regulations - was cleaned out and ready for the next poor soul, and you’re in the elevator heading for the sub-level garage.
Dead stare locked onto the floor numbers you become acutely aware of the bags weighing your eyes down.
“Fuck,” you sigh.
Black Noir's Personal Handler.
Despite Mr. Edgar’s clear efforts it was more than a little known open secret that personal handlers rarely got to retire. Madelyn Stillwell’s death might’ve been something none of you dared discuss for fear of either Edgar or - heaven forbid - Homelander catching wind and putting you back in your place, but it was a pattern of the job that you all were well aware of.
Though you’d take Mr. Edgar’s culling over whatever Homelander could possibly come up with.
Something about his blonde, blue-eyed, ass didn’t sit right with your spirit.
Far as PR and wrangling went though, short of maybe Starlight, any wrinkles Black Noir managed to make would be the easiest to smooth out.
Plus, even with you and Noir having some form of a pre-established relationship it was in no way dependent or built upon you being Noir’s emotional epicenter like Madelyn and Homelander’s weird…dynamic was.
You had seen and heard far too much in your years working for Vought to think for a second that there wasn’t something dark and twisted going on with The Seven, but Noir still seemed mellow in comparison to the rest and their constant ego trips and dick measuring.
You had zero clue how letting the fully covered man teach you a few notes to a song at the Christmas party when everyone was drunk off eggnog and watered down booze and sitting with him when he was crying on the floor once led you to this.
Sure the silent man and you had somewhat hit it off - so far as you were one of the few non-supers he didn’t intimidate or just flat out ignore - but to be made so intimately in charge of him seemed like a bit much.
Noir had seemed endlessly patient with you as he played for you and then eventually decided he’d teach you how to play the piano yourself, the sides of your bodies’ shifting incrementally until you were pressed flush to one another in both of yous concentration, so you could really only hope he kept that same levelness with you as his handler.
You bank the corner, work bag and portfolio on the same arm, and fish out your keys so you can unlock your trunk and shove your shit inside.
Hope truly was the name of the game here unfortunately. You could only hope Noir kept up his “good” streak, and that that streak wasn’t just a farce that you were now in charge of covering up. Hope that he didn’t end up getting angry or reckless and making you one of those *redacted* cases with a ‘cause of death, unknown’ attached to your name, because you could do nothing to stop him if he wanted to kill you.
Shiver racking up your spine and turning your blood to static, you snap your trunk closed, turning to leave when—
“—Fucking Christ!”
Eyes gone wide and spit having nearly choked you from your sharp inhalation before your exclamation, you do your best to appear composed as Black Noir himself steps out from a conclave of shadows to stand in front of you.
The Devil, you find yourself thinking. Had he been following you this whole time?
For his part Noir doesn’t move aside from cocking his head to the side.
Steadily, you force calmness onto yourself. Ignoring that your voice is too high when you call his name.
“Black Noir,” you say, trying to seep the professionalism back into your tone while smoothing down the creases in your pantsuit, “surprised to see you here. What can I do for you?”
The smile you offer him feels wonky even as you command the muscles up, but it’s the best you can do with your heart hammering against your chest as if it wants to run off and leave you behind.
For a couple more beats the man doesn’t do more than size you up presumably before finally - as you were weighing the pros and cons of just getting in your car despite his presence - raising a hand to point at your trunk.
You catch on to his meaning fairly quickly, your smile dropping to something more natural whilst you huff a tiny laugh.
“Oh yeah, guess Mr. Edgar must’ve told you. I’m your new handler - you know, if you had one before that is. I don’t…actually know…” you trail off, shifting on your heels when Noir only continues to keep his stillness.
“Mhm,” you mutter, rocking backwards, just staring until finally Noir shifts and there’s suddenly a pad and pen in his hand.
He flips casually to a clear page before starting to write and you’re fairly sure this is the first time he’s ever actually ‘talked’ to you.
Huh.
Not long after does the pad get flipped over and brandished to you. You click your teeth together.
‘Edgar says you’ll do good,’ he scribbles, writing absolute chicken scratch and letters far too large on the medium sized pages, before flipping the pad back to himself and writing some more.
‘Believe in you!’ and a whole bunch of smiley faces is what meets you once he lets you see.
You blink. Noir puts the pad back wherever he had it initially to give you two thumbs up.
You muster a slightly bigger half smile for his efforts.
“Thanks Noir,” you say, words more sincere than you’d been expecting.
A nod and an eternity more of silence and staring is what he gives you in response.
You’re getting ready to shift, to awkwardly relay that you’d like to be getting home soon, when Noir stiffens suddenly - and isn’t that startling, a man so tall and so strapped with sharp explosive deadly things going so alert like that - head tilting like he’s listening for something.
A few seconds go by like that where he doesn’t do anything else and you fight to keep yourself still, smile gone and part of your lip caught firmly between your teeth.
Then Noir’s giving you a nod and leaving just as silently and unseenly as he had come.
You wait another two-three beats before scrambling into your car. The sound of your lock engaging sounds like salvation and the steering wheel feels like a lifeline as you grip it with stiff nearly foreign fingers.
God.
You force a deep breath into your lungs, make sure it comes out more steadily than it came in.
At least Mr. Edgar didn’t dump you onto Homelander’s lap. Something in you shrivels up and dies at the mere prospect. You nod, your hands flexing on the steering wheel.
This was definitely better.
NOTES: Hope you enjoyed!!
This is a semi companion story to “Pandora’s Melody” if you’d like to check that one out as well.
btw: if you’d like to leave a comment I’d very much appreciate it!

Absolutely! And tysm! You're gonna like this one. I hope I think.
<< 7 | 0 | 9 >>
Steve starts jotting things down and the tension from his body quickly melts away, and he leans more comfortably into Eddie's side. Now that he's not worried that any movement might startle his friend, Eddie reaches for the coffee with his free hand. Soon, Steve does the same, and when he sits back, he shimmies his shoulder back under Eddie's arm, and tucks his legs up onto the couch.
It's really hard not to chuckle into his coffee, but Steve doesn't seem to either notice or care about his own movements and Eddie's reaction. Feeling emboldened, he points out that paper towels will be better than napkins, while sliding his hand down Steve's shoulder.
It's not dissimilar from how he'd pet the dog while watching TV. Up and down, with a gentle drag of his nails.
If he thought Steve was relaxed before, now he might be turning into goop. With a quiet, huffed out sigh, he liquifies against his side. Eddie presses his lips together, but can't stop the amused puffs of air that come out of his nose.
"Shut up," Steve murmurs while crossing out 'straws' from his list. "It's nice."
"Good," Eddie smiles, gently squeezing his shoulder. He feels warm inside knowing Steve's being honest. With his friend and himself, most importantly. He resumes his scratching with more purpose.
Steve twitches under his arm.
He looks down, but the man is laser-focused on the list, now on the snack section. But the tips of his ears are crimson red. Not averting his gaze, Eddie scratches down his arm the same way he'd do along a dog's spine. Steve's foot moves. Once, twice, and while he keeps scratching with more purpose, it starts tapping against the couch. Steve stops writing.
"No way," Eddie grins in delight at his discovery.
"Eddie, come on..." The embarrassment is squeezing his throat, so Eddie presses him closer, hoping to provide some comfort.
"Uh, no," he protests. "This is golden. Is this what you were so scared of when you ran away? When you told me about the dog allergy?" He doesn't let go, scratching with ferocity like he would an overjoyed dog. Which, in a way, Steve is.
"Stevie, man. Sweetheart," he coos. "Just let go."
So Steve does.
The pen falls out of his grip and he leans against Eddie with a sigh, almost cuddled against his chest. His leg spasms while Eddie scratches him along his arm and the side of his back that Steve turned up to him. Eventually, whatever itch he had that needed relief gets scratched enough to satisfy him. Eddie flattens his palm against his arm and Steve sighs into his chest. He's now fully sprawled in his lap and breathing deeply. Eddie cradles him close.
"See? It's all fine. Is it weird? Probably, but we fought interdimensional monsters, so. Just embrace it okay?"
Steve chuckles against his skin.
"Okay," he agrees softly. Eddie scratches his head for good behaviour.
"Great. Now up, I gotta pee."

sick and tired
my close call with bronchitis yesterday inspired me to write this LMAO

(I mentioned Bobby bearhug in here because she’s a cutie pootie 🫶🏼)

from the time she had spent in this god forsaken factory, she’s endured scrapes, cuts, bruises, bloody noses, and possibly a broken rib or two.
she’d been grateful for the saving graces of the abandoned first aid stations, thankful that some of them still had bandages and disinfected to make sure she didn’t get an infection in any open wound areas.
but, unfortunately, she would forget about the immune system infections that were easy to catch in an abandoned facility such as this.
it started with a sneeze after she awoken from the few twenty minute naps she awarded herself with, which escalated into multiple sneezes throughout her journey.
she docked it to just allergies, this place was infested with dust over the years, it wasn’t that much to worry about.
the gas mask she found to protect herself from the red smoke catnap had made did little to stop her from sneezing. even with the amount of times she dusted it off.
when she decided to save the last remaining smiling critter from his ultimate death from getting eaten from the inside, she was basically running on the little breath she had and adrenaline.
her chest tightened with pain at every breath she took, consisted sneezing turned into dry coughing as she practically stumbled with every step.
after making it out of the elevator escaping the flesh eating toys, she began to walk off the elevator, clammy hands gripping the grabpack as she mumbled to herself about which direction the first aid was.
“angel?” she hummed and turned to the voice, headache starting to form as she shut her eyes to try and soothe it.
dogday wasn’t unaware in the signs of a rising sickness in humans, he would see them all the time when the kids in the playcare acted like nothing was wrong when they were obviously close to collapsing.
and she was no different. he could see her chest quickly rising and falling as she tried to collect her breath, how her legs and hands shook and how chapped her lips were.
she let out a gravely cough, body shaking as she groggily pushed out, “first aids somewhere here…..gotta get you fixed up.” she mumbled, pushing through as she grudgingly walked forward.
he stared at her for a moment, the permanent happy expression on his face seemed to change to a worry smile.
when she first grabbed him off the restraints that held him, he saw that tired and determined look in her eyes that made the empty feeling in his chest spark with something he had not felt for a long time.
the first stumble and second stumble she made almost wanted the dog to just release his grip and let the animals take him to eat, but the dry cough that escaped her lips made his grip tighten around her waist.
even though he thinks he wasted her precious time to save him, he was going to make sure she was going to be make it through this hellhole.
he wasn’t going to lose the person who made him have hope to see another day.
a moment of silence past by before the dirty orange dog let out a dry laugh, “well, angel, if you want to go to the first aid station,” he used his big hand to point to the opposite direction, “then you might want to go that way.”
she blinks owlishly, slowly looking where his hand was pointing and letting it process in her mind.
“…..ohhhh.”
_____________
she slowly placed dogday on the first aid bed, breathing a sigh of relief and nearly collapsed too before she straightened herself up.
“okay….okay….” she swallowed thickly, running a shaky hand through her hair. “there should be a stitching kit here somewhere-“ she coughs in her arm, turning around to rummage through the cabinets hastily.
the orange dog looked down at his lower half, opening to the inside of his body was always something that scared him.
he was grateful she was planning to stitch him up, but with the way she could barely could walk made him worry about hurt herself.
looking back at her, dogday cleared his throat before calling out, “forgive me for staring, angel, but you look a little under the weather.” he spoke with concern lacing his voice.
she let out a ‘huh?’ while she rummages through the dusty cabinets, before sniffling and taking a short breath, “ah it’s probably just-“ she stopped to sneeze, muffling it in her arm.
“just-“ she sniffles, shortly laughing, “a day cold.” she celebrates internally when she saw the sewing kit, turning around to face the giant dog on the bed.
she grabbed a chair and sat down next to the bed, letting out a satisfied sigh as her legs finally rested and began opening up the kit.
she rummaged through the box, “now I don’t call myself a professional stitcher-“ a cough “-I assume it’s going to be easier then stitching up skin, but just let me know if it starts to hurt.”
dogday stares as she fumbles with the needle and thread, whispering a few curses as her fingers seemed to miss the needles hole.
he watches as she paused for a moment, closing her eyes as her breath became shaky and sharp, one of her hands going to her chest to press against it.
her sickness was getting worse, and she seemed to be getting stressed. so he decided to do what the old dogday would had done.
give someone a smile.
it takes a moment for her to compose herself, before clearing her throat and opening her eyes, “okay, okay, I’m alright, I’m going-“ she felt a large hand on her forehead, gently pressing it and a deep hum rumbling out.
she didn’t notice him moving to rest on his side, his face a few inches from hers. she couldn’t tell if it was the embarrassment or the sudden change of body temperature making her face heat up.
a few seconds of analyzing her, before he mumbled something to himself and nodding. he pulled his large hand away from her.
he stared at her when he spoke, “I can’t feel your body temperature, fur making it hard to tell.” he rose both of his hands up wiggling his fingers.
she squints her eyes in confusion, tilting her head as he taps the side of his head, “however, my sharp instincts tell me, and they are never wrong,“ he raises a finger and taps her nose gently, “that you have caught a small bug, angel.” his voice held a calm tone mixed with playfulness.
her nose twitches when he tapped it, making a small shaky smile form on her lips. it didn’t matter how small it was, he took that as a victory in his book. she sighs softly, tapping his hand that rests closed to her on the bed.
“okay, maybe I caught a bug,” she cleared her throat, running a hand through her hair. “but I can’t really afford being sick right now, I’m literally-“ she coughs, giving a short ‘excuse me’ before starting again, “being chased down every corner I turn.”
dogday rests his head on his hand, “you’re more at risk of getting caught now that your sick, you need rest,” he studied her body language carefully, watching as she shook her head.
“no, I need to patch you up,” she holds her chest as she coughs in her arm. “I can stitch up your top half so it won’t be expose, maybe we can find your leg’s somewhere around here.”
he watches as she talks to herself, picking at her lips. he sighs softly, raising to place a hand on her shoulder and seeing her flinch at the touch.
“angel, please, I can wait to be stitched up,” he spoke softly, rubbing her shoulder tentatively. he didn’t want to see her push through her sickness just to fix him up.
“what I don’t want is to see you collapse and hurt yourself,” he pointed at her body language, how her body was basically shaking like a leaf.
his ears twitch as he heard the deep intake of her breathing, before she released it in a soft exhale. she places the stitching kit on the floor, placing her hands on her lap.
“okay, you win.” she could practically see his imaginary tail wagging in satisfaction, making her smile. “I’ll go and lay down-“
she felt two hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her into the surprisingly soft embrace of the mascots chest. she breathed through her nose, and softly sighed at the faint smell of vanilla.
he never lost that scent.
dogday hummed a random song, gently rubbing her tense shoulders. “I’d like to say hugs are the best type of medicine, next to laughter of course.” he felt his chest warm up at the soft laugh from her lips.
“god that’s so corny.” she sniffles, coughing a bit into her fist.
he laughs, tapping his fingers against her, “well, a old friend taught me that, and it always helped me,” he gives his own cough, clearing his throat as he adds on, “I’ll look for some medication for you, but for now-“
he playfully squeezed her, making her laugh more. her laughs were congested, but he didn’t care, he just cared about getting her better, “let the hugs work it’s magic.”
she giggled, wrapping her arms around his plush body and sniffling a bit, mumbling softly, “thank you, dogday.” she blinks wearily, before closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep, her body losing its tension as she inhaled his vanilla scent.
dogday watched as she falls into slumber, his giant hand cradling her back as he nuzzled his face into her hair. “no, thank you, my angel.”
it felt good to give a smile, even in this hellhole, to his angel.

Today we are devastated. Both my betrothed and I are just having too much of an allergic reaction to Wyvern to keep him. Neither of us have been allergic to dogs before and we thought his kennel miasma was the problem. Even after a bath and hardcore cleaning bouts our throats are both swelling up around him several days later. Even if we get allergy shots it could be months to see relief and we can’t go on like this.
We both just wanted a buddy, and he’s gonna be such a good dog, but he can’t be our dog. My betrothed is gonna call out tomorrow so we have a full day together with him before we have to surrender him on Tuesday. We wanted to look for his new home ourselves but the shelter wanted him back. I know he’ll probably be there like a day before he gets snapped up, he’s so precious.
We had a week with him and there was ups and downs but god we fell in love. We left him with better manners than we found him. He gave me such a gift in recognizing that I can do a lot more than I thought I was capable of. I know he’ll find a good home but god I wish it were ours.
#ramblies#wyvern the pup#the shelter lady on the phone asked if we could surrender him tomorrow and I started inconsolably sobbing#my betrothed had to take the call and set up for Tuesday#I want to take nice pictures of him for his website photo and for us to remember how much we loved him#I doubt the shelter will let us have contact with the new family#I almost posted here asking if anyone in Washington wants an amazing puppy before we called and the shelter said bring him back

It’s the coughing that wakes you. You gently start to pat his back as he sleeps thinking it’s just allergies or something. You fall back asleep and think nothing of it.
It happens continuously throughout the night. A harsh and rough sounding cough with occasional gagging thrown in. By the next morning it’s even worse.
When he comes downstairs for breakfast he’s wrapped up in a blanket and looks whiter than a sheet.
“Oh Timmy.”
He whines but it comes out as a strangled gurgle.
He practically melts in your arms when you wrap your arms around him. He buries his head against your neck coughing,
“Oh sweetness.” You coo. “You might have pneumonia let me call the doctor.”
He nods but doesn’t move from your arms.
You kiss his head and grab your phone to make the appointment.
He whimpers when you pull away
“I’m cold you’re warm!” He whines
“That’s the fever talking lovey.” You say.
He groans and headbutts you.
“I’m gonna call the doc and see if he can get a good look at you. But I’m pretty sure it’s pneumonia.” You tell him.
He nods and you call the doctor and set up the appointment for later that day.
Sure enough it’s pneumonia just as you had suspected. The doctor prescribes antibiotics and a nebulizer for breathing treatments twice a day.
Timothee had been so exhausted he had been falling asleep while the doctor examined him.
You let him sleep in the car on the way to the pharmacy and he slept through you getting his medicine.
Once home.
“Hey baby let’s get you inside and up to bed.” You say as you wake him up.
“Mm don’t feel good.” He whines.
“I know let’s go to bed.”
He nods and gets out of the car and follows you inside and he immediately heads up to bed.
You bring up his medicine and nebulizer and set it up on his nightstand. Then help him take the antibiotic and the first round of breathing treatment before letting him go back to sleep.
“Cuddle?” He asks weakly.
“Of course sweet boy.”
You join him in bed and hold him tight. He falls asleep quickly in your arms and you both nap for a while.
Thankfully the medicine seems to have helped some. The next time he’s awake the cough has already slowed a bit in its intensity.
You play with his curls and suggest you get up to get him some water or something to eat before another round of a breathing treatment. He nods and you fetch him soup and more water.
He eats the soup and drinks the water before you set up the nebulizer for him.
After the treatment you join him for more cuddles.
Later after you wake up. You head downstairs to clean up and take care of Kodak the German shepherd dog you own with Timothee while Tim sleeps upstairs.
Later you are awaken to the sound of coughing from Tim. You find him coming downstairs wrapped in blankets and practically hacking up a lung.
“Why are we out of bed sweetness?” You coo at him.
He whined and hugged you. The blanket he had wrapped around himself fell to the floor, and he shivered. You wrap your arms around him.
“I woke up, and you weren’t there.” He says weakly.
"I'm sorry you woke up when I was down here. You were so peaceful, and I didn't want to wake you," you tell him.
he whines and coughs harshly.
"back to bed come on."
You help him back up to bed and make a mental note to put the blanket in the wash later.
Once back in bed you set Timothee up with another breathing treatment.
Kodak watches from his bed in the corner of the room eyeing the nebulizer suspiciously.
“It’s ok Kody it’s helping Daddy. You explain to the dog.
Kodak just stares at the machine. Probably not taking in any words you are trying to tell him. He seems transfixed by it In a concerned way.
You play with Timothee’s curls as he does his treatment. He sighs heavily.
“Better?” You ask as you sit next to him in bed.
He nods and you notice there’s color back in his face and you sigh with relief. It’s definitely improvement from just this morning.
Throughout the day you tend to Tim’s every need and when he wants cuddles you give him lots.
Later before bed you help Timothee with a warm shower to help dislodge the phlegm from deep within his lungs.
After the shower you help him into pjs and get into bed for his antibiotics and another breathing treatment. Before doing chest and back physical therapy to help further move the phlegm and help him cough it up.
He manages to get a decent amount of mucus out and it seems to help him feel a bit better and he doesn’t seem to be struggling with breathing as much.
You take the towel of mucus to go toss in the laundry along with the blanket and other laundry.
Before you get ready for bed and join him to cuddle. After his last treatment for the night you fall asleep cuddling Timothee as he sleeps.
After a long few days of treatments and longer on the antibiotics Timothee felt much better.
Here you go @sitruksista sorry it’s not great thought I’d tag you since you are looking for more pneumonia sickfics. The treatments are based on what I had whenever I had lung issues as a kid.
