this is all i ever end up talking about but im still mad so i gotta get it off my chest to people who will understand. my friend made a post at the start of pride month basically comiserating with fellow aspec people who would only be seeing 'love is love' for the whole month, which the implication that obviously it doesnt apply to us because yk aspec
and every. single fucking reply was someone desperately claiming that 'love is love' applies to platonic love too!! it applies to self love too!! despite how many times me and the friend in question reiterated that a) that still excludes aplatonic people and b) thats not the point! our queerness is defined by the lack of love, not what we can 'still do' and so the phrase is kind of meaningless to us. the worst response was when some random person called my friend homophobic?? which i can only assume was either a misinterpretation of the post or an aphobe trying to make a big deal out of nothing.
this happened half a year ago but it still makes me so mad that people dont seem to think we ever considered 'love is love' actually means something it was never meant to mean. it doesnt need to apply to everyone!! there will never be a phrase that can apply to everyone because humans are so different but that wasnt the point of the post though, it was saying that we only see 'love is love' and nothing else which excludes not only aspec people but trans and intersex people whose queerness is unrelated to love!! it wasnt even meant to be a discourse post it was meant to be sympathetic omg
yeah it's easier to defend a half-baked slogan than it is to actually listen and learn. hang in there anon

warnings: nothing much
part 2!
It was weird. So weird that it left this hollow ache in your chest every time you thought about it. Beomgyu wasn’t like this—he wasn’t the kind of person who left you wondering, second-guessing. He’d always been so easy to read, an open book with no missing pages. If something was wrong, you’d know. If he had a secret, he’d tell you. But now? Now he was shutting you out, and you didn’t understand why.
You tried to brush it off at first. Everyone gets busy, right? He had a life, you had a life, and it wasn’t like he owed you every second of his time. But standing you up three times in one week? That wasn’t just “busy.” That was deliberate.
And you weren’t mad—you told yourself you weren’t mad. You were just… confused. Hurt, maybe. Because this wasn’t like him. Beomgyu was your best friend. The guy who had spent hours trying to braid your hair after watching some random tutorial, only to give up and suggest cutting it all off instead. The guy who knew all your favorite snacks and always bought extras just in case. The guy who swore he’d never leave you hanging.
Except now he was. And every time you tried to talk to him about it, he’d brush you off with some flimsy excuse, like he couldn’t even be bothered to lie properly.
“I was just late,” he’d say, his voice light, casual, like he wasn’t tearing you up inside.
Late? For three days straight?
It was ridiculous. But instead of pushing, you waited. Because what else could you do? You couldn’t exactly drag the truth out of him, and part of you—an annoyingly soft part—was scared of what you might hear if you did.
So you waited. You sat in your apartment, half-watching reruns of a show you weren’t even interested in, your phone next to you on the couch just in case he called. And he always did, eventually, with that same apologetic tone that somehow made it worse.
“Don’t watch it without me!” he’d said the last time you saw him, practically begging. “Promise me you won’t!”
And you had. You promised. Because that’s what you always did when it came to Beomgyu—you kept your promises, even when he didn’t keep his.
But now it had been weeks since you’d paused that stupid show, and you were starting to wonder if you’d made a mistake. Maybe you should’ve just watched it without him. Maybe you should’ve stopped waiting altogether.
You sighed, slumping further into the couch. “Stupid Beomgyu,” you muttered under your breath.
And yet, you knew the moment he showed up, all of this would melt away. Your frustration, your hurt—it would disappear the second he smiled at you, like it always did. Maybe you were too soft. Or maybe…
Maybe you felt more for him than you wanted to admit.
(You did. You absolutely did.)
But it didn’t matter, right? You shook the thought out of your head. He was your best friend. That was all. Adding feelings into the mix would only ruin things, and you weren’t going to risk that.
Still, the ache in your chest didn’t go away.
You must’ve drifted off at some point because the next thing you felt was someone nudging your shoulder.
“Hey…”
Your eyes blinked open, hazy and unfocused. And there he was, crouching in front of you with that same apologetic look.
“Gyu?”
“Yeah, it’s me.” His voice was soft, quieter than usual. “Did you fall asleep?”
You wiped at your mouth, realizing you’d been drooling. Great. “How’d you even get in? I locked the door.”
His eyes flicked to the side. “You left your keys out front again.”
“I… I don’t think I did.” You frowned, sitting up and pulling your blanket tighter around yourself. “And why’s the window open? I thought I closed it.”
“You probably forgot.” His voice was quick, dismissive.
You narrowed your eyes but let it slide. “I guess. So, where’ve you been?”
“Just out,” he said, avoiding your gaze.
“Out where?”
“The grocery store,” he muttered. “You know… stuff like that.”
“Grocery store?” You looked him up and down. “Where are the groceries, then?”
His laugh was awkward, almost forced. “Why the interrogation? I thought we were watching our show.”
“Maybe we would be if you actually showed up on time,” you shot back, the words sharper than you intended.
“I said I was out!” His voice cracked, a sudden edge of frustration breaking through. “Can we just… watch the show?”
The shift caught you off guard. Beomgyu never snapped at you—not like this. You stared at him, trying to figure out what was going on in that head of his, but his expression was locked tight.
“Fine,” you said softly, scooting over to make space for him on the couch.
He sat down beside you, a little too close, and for a moment, you thought about pressing him again. But the tension in his shoulders stopped you. Whatever was going on, he wasn’t ready to talk about it.
The room felt heavier than usual. The two of you sat side by side on the couch, eyes glued to the screen, but it wasn’t the same. Normally, there’d be sarcastic commentary flying back and forth, bursts of laughter at the ridiculous plot twists, or arguments over which character made the dumbest decisions. But tonight? Silence. The kind that didn’t just fill the air—it seeped into it, cold and suffocating.
The show was playing, but neither of you were really watching. The images moved, the characters spoke, but your mind was elsewhere, and you were sure his was too.
You stole a glance at him. His face was slightly turned away, hood pulled over his head like he was trying to shield himself from the world—or maybe from you.
And then the words slipped out, quieter than you intended.
“Are you sick of me?”
Your voice was so soft it barely felt like your own, but it cut through the silence like a sharp knife.
Beomgyu froze. For a moment, he didn’t move, didn’t even breathe. Then he turned to you, just slightly, still not meeting your eyes.
“What?” His voice cracked. He swallowed hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing. “No. Never. Why would you even think that?”
You shifted, pulling your knees to your chest and hugging them tightly. “Because… because you’ve been avoiding me like the plague. Did you really think I wouldn’t notice? You’re kind of my best friend, Beomgyu.”
Your words hung in the air, raw and vulnerable.
“I know,” he said quietly, his voice laced with guilt. “I know, and I’m sorry.”
But he still wouldn’t look at you. His eyes stayed fixed on the screen, his hood casting a shadow over his face.
That’s when you noticed. He hadn’t taken it off—not once since he arrived. Beomgyu never kept his hood up indoors. He hated it, said it made him feel stuffy.
“Beomgyu,” you said softly, sitting up straighter. “What’s going on?”
He shook his head, pulling the hood tighter around his face. “It’s nothing. I just—can we not do this right now? Please?”
Your chest tightened. The Beomgyu you knew was open, even painfully so at times. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, never hesitating to share what was on his mind. But now? He was closed off, guarded in a way you’d never seen before.
And it scared you.
You didn’t think. You just moved closer, scooting toward him until your knees brushed against his. Your hands found his cheeks, soft but firm as you turned his face toward you.
“Beomgyu…” Your voice wavered, your heart sinking the moment his eyes met yours.
Your breath caught. His face—the left side—was a mess. Swollen, raw, the kind of bruising that made your chest ache just looking at it. It wasn’t just a scrape or a tumble. It looked angry, like it had a story you didn’t want to hear.
You swallowed hard, forcing down the gasp that threatened to escape. He didn’t need that right now. Instead, you steadied your voice, though your hands trembled slightly.
“What happened?”
He tried to look away, but your hands held him there, gently but firmly.
“Nothing,” he mumbled, barely above a whisper. “I fell—”
“Bullshit.” The word came out harsher than you intended, but you didn’t care. “This doesn’t look like a fall, Beomgyu. Not even close.”
You could feel it now—the sting of tears threatening to spill. Everything from the past few weeks was bubbling up: the missed hangouts, the lies, the hood, the silence. And now this.
“Did someone do this to you?” Your voice cracked, barely holding it together.
He hesitated. His jaw tightened under your palms, and for a moment, you thought he’d lie again. But then he exhaled, defeated.
“No. I mean… yes.” He paused, his voice faltering. “I mean… kind of.”
Your brows furrowed.
“What do you mean kind of?” Your voice cracked, rising just enough to betray the knot tightening in your chest. “Beomgyu, what’s going on? Who did this to you?”
He sighed, pulling back slightly, your hands falling to your lap. “It’s nothing,” he muttered, his voice low. “It’ll heal in no time.”
“Beomgyu—”
“I’m fine,” he cut you off, avoiding your eyes.
And then—
“BREAKING NEWS!”
The sudden burst of sound from the TV made you both jump, your heads snapping toward the screen in unison.
The anchor’s voice was urgent, almost breathless. “Spider-Man vigilante almost gets caught in bank robbery two roads ahead from West Avenue earlier tonight. Witnesses report seeing him injured but still managing to escape authorities…”
“Look at how messy the world is. God, I can’t even fathom if you were out there doing stupid shit like this,” you sighed aloud, rubbing your temples and covering your face with your hands, the weight of the week catching up to you.
Beomgyu gulped audibly. “I–”
You didn’t hear him. Your eyes stayed glued to the screen, the video playing on repeat. Spider-Man, scraped up, barely getting to his feet, stumbling before launching away into the night. Something about it nagged at you, pulling at a thread you didn’t even know was there.
Instinctively, you grabbed the remote and paused the footage.
Your gaze flickered between the screen and Beomgyu.
Then back to the screen.
Spider-Man's bruise—the one on his face—was in the exact same place as Beomgyu’s.
Your heart stuttered.
You turned to him slowly, eyes scanning him up and down. He wasn’t looking at you anymore; instead, his gaze was glued to the floor, shoulders hunched. His hoodie sleeves were pulled down to his wrists, but now, the faintest hint of color peeked out—red and blue.
“Beomgyu,” you said carefully, your voice low, deliberate. “What are you wearing?”
You didn’t wait for an answer. Before he could react, you grabbed his arm and yanked the sleeve up.
And there it was.
Red and blue, unmistakable.
The fabric of the suit stretched over his skin, torn slightly in places, the bright colors muted by smudges of dirt and—was that blood?
“What. The. Fuck.”
Your words came out in a whisper, barely audible, but the weight behind them was deafening.
Beomgyu finally looked up, his wide eyes meeting yours, panic and guilt written all over his face. “I can explain,” he stammered, his voice trembling.
“You fuckingidiot.”
Your voice cracked as you spat the words, frustration laced with a trembling undertone of worry. You bolted from the living room, leaving Beomgyu staring after you with wide, uncertain eyes. A moment later, you came back, lugging your first aid kit and dumping it unceremoniously on the coffee table.
Dropping to your knees in front of him, you started rummaging through the kit, pulling out antiseptic wipes, gauze, and bandages like a woman possessed.
Beomgyu opened his mouth to say something, but you cut him off with a sharp glare. “Don’t,” you warned, your voice trembling with restrained anger. “Just sit there and let me deal with your idiocy.”
You grabbed his chin, pulling his face toward you. His eyes searched yours, but you avoided his gaze, too focused on the task at hand. The bruise on his face looked even worse up close, a deep purple that made your stomach twist in knots.
“You’re so stupid,” you murmured under your breath, the anger bubbling to the surface as you dabbed at the cut on his cheek with an antiseptic wipe. He flinched slightly, and you pressed harder, your hands trembling.
“An idiot,” you added, almost to yourself.
Beomgyu sighed, resigned to the scolding. “I know,” he mumbled.
You scoffed. “Putting yourself in danger to protect who? Huh? People who don’t even give two fucks about you?” Your voice cracked again as you pressed a little too hard with the wipe, making him wince. “You’re an idiot for doing this to yourself.”
“The biggest idiot I know,” you finished, your voice softer now, tinged with a mix of anger and worry.
Beomgyu chuckled, the sound low and almost sheepish. “You give a fuck about me,” he muttered under his breath.
Your hands froze. You looked up at him, narrowing your eyes. “What? Are you trying to say you’re doing this because of me? Because I didn’t ask you to do any of this. In fact, I didn’t even know you had spider-fucking powers.”
His lips quirked into a faint smile, amused despite the pain. “No, that’s not what I meant. I just—”
“Don’t,” you cut him off, shaking your head. “Don’t try to justify this. You scared the hell out of me, Beomgyu.”
Beomgyu watched you, his smile lingering as he took in your flustered state. This wasn’t how he imagined you’d react when you found out. In his head, you’d be awestruck, maybe even impressed. Maybe you’d finally see him as more than just your idiot best friend.
But this? The anger, the worry etched on your face, the way your hands shook as you patched him up—it wasn’t what he expected. And yet, somehow, it made him feel warm inside.
“You’re so mad at me,” he said, the corners of his lips twitching upward.
“Damn right I am,” you snapped, tying off the bandage a little too tightly.
“You’re mad because you care,” he teased, his voice soft, almost playful.
You rolled your eyes, but your cheeks flushed slightly, betraying you. “I’m mad because you’re a dumbass,” you shot back, but your voice had lost some of its bite.
Beomgyu laughed, and for a moment, the tension eased. Despite everything, despite the bruises and the secrets and the sheer absurdity of the situation, you couldn’t help but smile faintly. Because, as much as you hated to admit it, he wasn’t entirely wrong.
You dabbed the alcohol-soaked cotton ball gently on his bruised cheek, your tongue poking out slightly as you focused. Your brows knitted together in deep concentration, and every time he flinched, you did too, wincing like you could feel his pain yourself.
Beomgyu bit his lip, trying to stifle a smile. Even in the middle of this mess, you looked so ridiculously cute, so endearingly worried. He wanted to tell you to stop fussing, but honestly, he didn’t want this moment to end.
“Does it hurt?” you asked softly, your voice full of genuine concern.
“No,” he lied, shaking his head.
You squinted at him suspiciously. “How about this?”
Before he could register your words, you drove your knee into his groin.
“WHAT THE FUCK!” he yelped, doubling over in pain.
You crossed your arms, glaring down at him as he clutched his stomach. “Hurts, doesn’t it? That’s how I feel every single time you’re out there fighting God knows what,” you snapped, your voice trembling with anger and worry.
Beomgyu groaned, still catching his breath, but he couldn’t stop the faint smile creeping onto his face despite the unimaginable pain. “You’re insane,” he muttered, still grimacing.
“And you’re an idiot,” you shot back, your arms still crossed, but your voice softened slightly.
“I’m fine,” he said after a moment, straightening up as best as he could. “I’ll be fine.”
“Beomgyu, you don’t get it,” you said, your voice breaking now as the worry in your chest spilled out. “Sure, you’re fine now. Sure, you’ll be fine tomorrow. But these people…they’re getting weirder, stronger. Yesterday it was a bank robber. And you saw the news two weeks ago—the Avengers are fighting aliens from outer space!”
He stayed quiet, his gaze dropping to the floor.
You took a shaky breath, blinking back tears. “We’re just kids, Beomgyu. From a small-town neighborhood. You’re out here fighting things you shouldn’t even be near. What happens when you come up against something you can’t handle?”
He looked up at you then, his face serious, but there was something tender in his expression too. “I can handle it,” he said softly, his voice steady.
You shook your head, biting your lip. “You don’t know that.”
Beomgyu hesitated for a moment before reaching out, his hand brushing against yours. “I’m not doing this because I want to,” he admitted. “I’m doing it because…because if I don’t, who will? If I can stop someone from getting hurt, then isn’t it worth it?”
Your heart ached at his words, but you couldn’t bring yourself to argue. Because as much as you hated it, deep down, you knew he believed what he was saying.
“Beomgyu,” you began, your voice trembling as you tried to steady the whirlwind of emotions inside you. “The people you’re saving out there…they mean the world to the people who love them. I get that. But you—” your voice cracked, and you took a shaky breath. “You mean the world to me.”
His eyes softened, the guilt in them deepening with every word you spoke.
“It’s not that I don’t care about what the fuck’s been happening with the world, but when they look at you, they see a hero,” you continued. “But…when I look at you, I see my best friend. The person who’s been there for me through everything. I can’t let you get hurt. I just… I can’t.”
Your words hung heavy in the air, and for a moment, all he could do was watch you, his lips parted as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words.
“I’ll be careful,” he said finally, his voice soft but steady. “I promise. I’ll be here. Always.”
You stared at him, searching his face for something—certainty, reassurance, anything to make you believe him. “Can I count on it?”
“What?” he asked, taken aback by the raw vulnerability in your voice.
“Can I count on your promises?” you whispered, your hands clutching each other tightly, like you were holding yourself together. “Because if anything—and I mean anything—ever happens to you, I’d feel like it’s on me. For not stopping you. For not doing enough to keep you safe.”
Beomgyu’s heart broke at your words, at the way your tears glistened in your eyes but refused to fall, as if you were fighting against your own pain for his sake. He stepped closer, his hands reaching out to gently take yours.
“Nothing’s going to happen to me,” he said, his voice filled with a quiet determination. “You don’t have to carry that. It’s not on you. This is my choice, and I’ll do everything I can to keep that promise to you. To always come back. To always be here.”
You wanted to believe him, but the fear in your chest wouldn’t let go. Still, you nodded, swallowing back the tears that threatened to spill.
“Just… don’t make me regret this,” you murmured, your voice barely audible.
“I won’t,” he said, squeezing your hands gently. “I swear.”
But as much as you wanted to hold onto his words, you couldn’t help but feel the weight of everything: that no promise could shield him from the dangers he could face.
It had been a few hours, and all Beomgyu and you had done was lie on the couch, wrapped in each other's arms. Maybe a few tears here and there, mostly from you. Well, all from you, while Beomgyu kept insisting he'd be fine. It was a cycle of reassurance before things finally started to calm down.
"Why didn’t you tell me?" you asked, scratching the back of your neck, your voice quiet. "I thought we shared everything."
Beomgyu chuckled, clearly not taking you too seriously. "Well, look at how you reacted. Not too well, by the way."
You shot him a glare, not backing down. "What if you were in my shoes? You’d be telling me to take that suit off the second you found out."
Beomgyu smirked, clearly amused. "Well, that's because you have no athletic ability—"
You rolled your eyes. "The only reason you have athletic ability is because you got bitten by a radioactive spider. So... who’s really the winner here? Hint: it's the spider."
Beomgyu’s smirk faltered as he laughed softly, shaking his head. "Okay, you’ve got a point there. But still, it’s not about athleticism. It’s about being able to do something, anything, to make a difference."
You sighed, a little exhausted but grateful for the lighthearted moment amidst everything. "Just promise me, okay? No more secret superhero acts without telling me first."
His tone softened, the playful edge fading as sincerity took over. "I promise. Well, unless you don't pick up the phone and someone's getting robbed. I can't just sit back, right?"
You raised an eyebrow. "I trust you with some small-time bank robber armed with a knife or whatever, but an alien threatening to destroy Earth for eternity? That's a little different.”
Beomgyu’s grin returned, though there was a glint of seriousness behind it. "Okay, okay. I get it. Aliens are a little… above my pay grade," he teased, nudging you gently.
You crossed your arms, leaning back into the couch. "Exactly! See, now we're on the same page."
"Fine," he sighed dramatically, rolling his eyes. "I’ll leave the big, world-ending catastrophes to the professionals." He paused, then added with a smirk, "But if there's ever a small-time villain with a bad attitude, I’ll be there. I can't resist a good bank robbery."
You shot him a playful glare. "Just remember, you’ve got me to answer to if you get yourself killed trying to stop some thief."
"Wouldn’t dream of it," he said with a wink, though there was a hint of seriousness beneath the playful gesture. "Also," he muttered, "have I told you how Iron Man's basically mentoring me?"
"The Kang Taehyun? Get your head out of your ass, Beomgyu."
"Oh, I’ve got him on speed dial! Watch this." Beomgyu pulled out his phone and dialed a number, putting it on speaker. The phone rang for a while before abruptly cutting off, the screen showing that the call had been declined.
"Well... he might've been busy. I mean, he's Iron Man." Beomgyu shrugged with a grin, clearly trying to mask his embarrassment.
You rolled your eyes. "You do realize I don't care about this whole suave superhero life you're living, right? I'm mostly concerned about your safety."
Beomgyu raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, but if Mr. Kang Taehyun knocks on our door tonight, I'll just tell him to beat it. My girlfriend doesn't care."
"Girlfriend?" You raised an eyebrow, giving him a pointed look.
"Did I say girlfriend? I meant best friend. You know, because you're a girl and all…" Beomgyu chuckled nervously, quickly turning his face away from you.
“No, you said girlfriend,” you teased, raising an eyebrow. "And don't think I didn't catch that."
Beomgyu stiffened, his face turning a little red as he tried to play it off. "I—uh, I meant best friend! You know, because you're a girl and all... I—I’m just—uh, kidding. Obviously."
You crossed your arms, leaning in with a smirk. "Are you sure about that? Because it sounded like you were already claiming me as your girlfriend, Beomgyu."
“Okay, and what about it?” Beomgyu’s voice softened, his playful smirk turning into something more serious. “Let’s be real, we were this close to telling each other we liked each other anyway. So why not skip the whole confessional part and get to the point? Let’s date.”
You stared at him for a moment, unsure if you were hearing him right. The air between you felt different now, charged with something you hadn’t expected.
"Wait, are you—" You stopped yourself, suddenly self-conscious. "You’re serious?"
Beomgyu leaned back, his eyes not leaving yours. "Yeah, I’m serious. I don’t want to keep pretending like I don’t care about you more than just... this." He motioned between the two of you, his voice growing softer, yet full of conviction.
For a moment, all you could do was breathe, trying to process his words. But then, the feeling you’d been ignoring for so long bubbled up, and before you could stop yourself, you found yourself smiling.
“This is how you’re going to ask me out? Looking like Scar from The Lion King and telling me to date you while using that tone on me? This is almost too romantic,” you said, dripping with sarcasm.
Beomgyu blinked in mock offense, throwing his hands up dramatically. “Hey, Scar’s got style! I can’t help if I’m channeling his energy right now. And for the record, I wasn’t angry—I was being passionate.”
You raised an eyebrow, trying to keep a straight face. “Oh, passionate, huh? So now I’m supposed to swoon over your villainous charisma? Really selling it.”
He rolled his eyes playfully but then leaned in a little closer, his expression softening. “Look, I’m not great with words, but if you want the long, drawn-out confession, I can do that too. But you already know how I feel. I care about you. More than anyone else. So... what do you say?”
You took a deep breath, letting his words settle in, the sarcasm fading as your heart did the talking. "Well, when you put it like that...I kinda wanna hear the long, drawn-out confession.”
Beomgyu grinned, his eyes lighting up as he straightened up. “Alright, alright, if you insist.” He cleared his throat dramatically, then looked at you with all the seriousness he could muster, though a playful spark lingered in his gaze.
“I’ve spent countless nights trying to figure out how to say this. Should I tell you how every time I see you, my heart races? Or how I can’t help but smile whenever you walk into the room, like everything’s right in the world? Maybe I should mention how I think about you more than I care to admit, even when I’m supposed to be saving the city,” he said, each word sincere, though he tried to mask it with his usual humor. “But let’s get to the point. I care about you more than anything, and I think it’s about time I stopped pretending like I’m okay with just being your friend. So... what do you say? Will you be my girlfriend?”
“If you’ll take me as your girlfriend, then yes.”
Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat at your words, and for a moment, he forgot to breathe. He stared at you, eyes wide, as if processing what you had just said.
A grin slowly spread across his face, softer than his usual teasing smirk. "I think I can handle that. Might be a little tougher than fighting bad guys, but if I can take them on, I can handle you, right?"
You rolled your eyes, a playful smile tugging at your lips. "Oh, so now I'm your biggest challenge, huh?" you teased, raising an eyebrow.
Beomgyu smirked, his gaze softening as he leaned in a little closer. "You’re definitely the toughest one," he said, his voice low and sincere, "but I think I'm up for it."
"Well, good luck," you whispered, your voice suddenly quieter, the teasing giving way to something a little deeper. "You’re gonna need it."

Hcs on Sysdney? How many alters do you think they have? What would they be like outside of pure and corrupt Sydney?
just from observing in game text, sydney appears to be a three person system at the moment: pure sydney, corrupt sydney, and a secret third sydney that seems even worse* than corrupt syd.
this phenomenon happens with a pure syd:
but in this next screenshot (courtesy of visualnovellover), corrupt sydney experiences the same thing:
so, to me, it feels like this possible third alter is the more violent type, which doesn't align with how corrupt syd usually acts. there's a scene you can get in the cafeteria if you sit with a corrupt syd, a student will come by and attempt to break their glasses. If PC bought them their current pair, they will fight the student. Immediately after, they say something along the line of "I don't like it when I get like that."
(Here's a screenshot of the full event via sydney's events wiki page)
They don't like it when they get violent, even if it's to protect themself or someone else, so the possibility of Sydney enjoying hurting someone, especially someone they love, is extremely low. Ergo, i think that behavior would likely be better suited for a third alter.
sysdney headcanons yippee
-based on personal experience, sydney would definitely believe they were being possessed and try to pray it away. sydney sobbing to jordan about how they think something's wrong with them and/or god is punishing them, with jordan trying to calm them down with that tune they like.
-sydney is not diagnosed but sirris knows there's something off about them, like sometimes theyre completely out of character for themself.
-sydney doesnt remember their trauma, but i believe it has something to do with sydneys other parent depending on how young they were when whatever happened... happened. the asylum definitely traumatized them too, but it's not the initial trauma that caused their consciousness to fracture.
-pure sydney: host, ANP. caretaker potential - corrupt sydney: sexual protector TBH. perhaps another EP-aligned role - third sydney: ???. not a persecutor, their anger is directed more outwards.
-sydney dissociates a lot while they're praying, that's why they pray for so long
sydney is so fucking traumatized oh my god. there's whatever happened with their other parent, idk if a lot of people have played through the asylum content but definitely some sexual trauma along with the medical trauma. maybe sprinkle some religious trauma in there too?
thats all i can think of at the moment but if anyone wants to add anything or send asks i will always always always be down to talk about sys!sydney they are my beloved

i have like. such mixed feelings on the medic leo headcanon, coming from someone that has used it in pretty much all of his work so far. me and the medic leo headcanon are in an off-and-on relationship and every time i think we're done for good its outside my door with a boombox in the pouring rain and i feel like i hate myself a little when i take it back. it fucks like a champ though which makes it KIND OF worth it
cause like. i really think its an implementation thing that frustrates me more than anything else. to give leo a special THING feels like it disregards such a core facet of his character, that being that he doesn't have one and he feels like the others do. "face man" feels like overcompensating. initially, "leader" feels like too much, and it feels like something he TOOK from raph. there's really an implication that he feels like his brothers are SOMETHING without him, but he's NOTHING without them, and he directly states the second part. (so he overcompensates and acts like they do need him)
i think to make this an early-in-his-life practice kind of throws that out the window. leo taking this up when he's young doesnt fit him, i dont think, especially because i see him as a very.... high wisdom low intelligence kind of character. good street smarts terrible book smarts, and that's kind of apparent by him being so clever and intuitive while also taking stupid dares and making actively reckless decisions to look cool lmao. he would swallow a whole bottle of shampoo because mikey told him to and then be confused why he's in the medbay and raph is yelling at him like ten minutes later
HOWEVER. i think it is a very good way to explore some of the nuances of him that actually MAKE him a good leader, once he steps into that role. leo is a people person. he knows his family, he pays attention to them, he knows how to manipulate them and it would make him a diligent eye in the field. things dont get past him and it makes it hard to hide when theyre in pain from him. he's the most likely to be like "cool, i dont give a fuck" when they try to dismiss injuries. he'll happily make it an argument if he has to; he'd be as stubborn as a mule when it comes to their well-being, and he's more calculative than he looks, which means raph and donnie's usual tactics of dismissal and deflection hit a wall when he puts his foot down on something.
so really i just go out of my way to not make it something EXCLUSIVE to him when its included (and i always go out of my way to make it recent, because why would they have a designated medic who they already know to go to when the concept of crime-fighting was NEVER something they thought would really happen?). it makes the most sense to be something that STARTED with donnie, considering he refers to resuscitating piebald as "my science"; medicine is included in the field of what he enjoys and invests in. donnie is a jack of all trades in anything he can get his grubby little hands on, but ive always seen him as squeamish, which gives a good reason for leo to get involved.
but i think leo would always underestimate his capability despite lots of hands-on experience, even though hands-on is literally how he learns instead of reading books and studying like donnie does. no matter how diligent and practiced he is in the field, he's still not exclusive in it, and it doesnt feel like something that IS a big thing to him. so he can do a few stitches, big deal. donnie and splinter can already do that! who cares? raph and mikey probably could too if they actually paid attention to any of donnie's yap-sessions. no matter how much he boasts about how much they need their cool brother to patch them up, he doesn't believe it, even as he gets better and better and better.
it also gives him the opportunity to really come to face how meaningful it actually is, and to be appreciated for that, especially if donnie is out of commission and he actually gets to utilize that strength. doomed timeline angst potential right there.
#personal#rottmnt#just me thinking out loud lmao#also i usually make splinter good at what amounts to like. field medic skills#because of battle nexus trauma. he's had to patch himself up before#and raph probably also helped take care of them before he got too big that made it dangerous#cause he got clumsy

Saiki and Aiura are bound to end up togethre because Aiura predicted it and her predictions are never wrong by the way! Hope this helped! Soulmates cant be platonic beacuse thats not what she predicted!
? im not sure where this is coming from but my point isnt and has never been "aiura and saiki are platonic soulmates", its "regardless of their status as soulmates, it cant force them to fall in love and so that relationship will just develop as it may, platonic OR romantic." the way you say this honestly just makes it seem like you dont understand what "soulmate" means and WHY people call them "platonic soulmates", its not that people think "platonic soulmates" is a specific label that defines them and that thats what the universe wanted them to be, its that "soulmates" cannot be defined as strictly platonic OR romantic without being an extremely creepy forced romance or friendship and it doesnt make sense that way anyway, so people are allowed to think their label as soulmates ends up being platonic FOR THEM.
and also that its really creepy that people think she has some sort of ownership over him or something... that just because she tells him theyre romantic soulmates means his feelings dont matter, youre not allowed to ship him with anyone else and hes not allowed to love anyone else, even if theyre not dating because she already staked her claim on him or something 😭
and nowhere in canon does it say she predicted that they end up together btw, its already very clear to me that youre very biased but this is just something you made up. if you headcanon that, thats perfectly okay!! but as far as we know, it didnt happen. nowhere does it say or even slightly imply that her soulmate power has anything to do with her predictions of the future, most of her powers that we see actually dont lol she predicts some futures but her other most prevalent powers we're shown are her ability to see auras and "compatibility" (which you can headcanon or theorize as having to do with future predictions, but again in canon this is never even so much as alluded to)
so yeah its not a future prediction and also even if it was, they literally prove in the show that the future can be changed, especially if you KNOW the future. but regardless, i doubt its a prediction in the first place and all evidence points to it not being so, especially since aiura went out of her way to come to pk to find her soulmate which, if she had already predicted theyd be together eventually, would change their future, their meeting, and their love story drastically and, although i have criticisms for how she wholeheartedly trusted her power and didnt actually make any romantic connection with saiki before trying to date him, aiura is not nearly stupid enough to mess it up that badly
anyway, like ive said a million freaking times, i do think "soulmate" the way she says it has a romantic connotation, but my point is that that doesnt actually mean much in terms of anything romantic happening between them. it didnt happen in canon and theres nothing to imply that it ever will. shipping and headcanoning is awesome and fun and i love love loveeee aiura and saikis friendship and how fun it is to build off of, but a romantic relationship between them is not canon, not now and never in the future. in myyyyy opinion, they found each other and theyre good for each other and thats what matters to me about their relationship and thats what makes them "soulmates".
also guys me saying your ship isnt canon shouldnt be considered an insult to your ship, i dont know why people take it that way 😭 im a fucking diehard kubosai shipper which is the least canon you can possibly get and you dont see me desperately grasping at straws to force it to be canon, join the club ??? its not that hard ??? also some of my other favorite ships are teruaisai and poly psychikers so its not even like im saying mikosai is impossible 😭 also last note, i find it very very hard to believe that people genuinely think asou would and did make a saiki ship canon LMAOOOO he gets close with ships sometimes like with satou and suzumiya, he somewhat implied they both like each other but not that they would ever get together... i wholeheartedly believe terusai is implied to be reciprocated and i have a lot of evidence for it, but its not CANON for a reason, asou would not do that and its more interesting this way anyway. we can agree to disagree on implications, but hating on me because you think your ship is CANON is next level delusional
#i wasnt going to post this but i say on it for a few days and was like. yea i like how i organized my thoughts here#sorry if its a lot#not anti ship just anti stupid people and canon claims#saiki k#tdlosk#the disastrous life of saiki k.#aiura mikoto#saiki kusuo#meows post

5 Stages In One Day
TW: READER ANGST, MENTION OF DEATH, MENTIONS OF DEPRESSION, AND MOMMY ISSUES!
By clicking "Keep reading" you have read and understand these trigger warnings.
Narrator's POV
The air in the hotel parlor is thick with tension and silence. That silence is then broken by Niffty asking Vaggie where her wings are.
"Niffty, I don't have," Vaggie starts before Angel cuts her off.
"Did you ever think she's sensitive about her lack of wings, just like her lack of tits?" He asks Niffty.
Niffty then pulls at the collar of Vaggie's shirt and looks down, asking Vaggie about her tit's. Vaggie, annoyed, grabs Niffty by the arm and pulls it away from her shirt, asking if anyone else has other questions.
"I got one. How come every time Charlie talks to Heaven we get in deeper and deeper shit?" Husk asks.
Vaggie sighs, saying that angels are difficult but that Charlie is trying her best. Husk sarcastically remarks that Charlie's best has worked out well so far before walking away with his booze. Angel then loudly asks where Charlie is, commenting on how "isn't it time for another doomed-to-fail plan". Following that remark from Angel, Sir Pentious asks where Reader is.
Vaggie turns, saying how Charlie is upstairs alone in her and Vaggie's bedroom, coming up with plan while Reader has locked themselves in their room. Alastor's smile grows at the mention of Charlie being alone. Without anyone noticing, Alastor turns into shadows to reach Charlie and Vaggie runs upstairs to Reader's room.
Reader's POV
It hurts. I feel so stupid. I was angry at someone who doesnt even exist for years. That non existent woman made my dad feel like he failed as a man, but he never failed. She didn't exist, yet she's the reason I'm crying out my bodyweight in tears. The tissue pile has started leaking from the trashcan. Actually, there is a woman I can be mad at and cry over. I... I don't know how to feel about Vaggie being an angel. I trusted her, but I feel like that trust has gone. It's not fair... it's not fair, IT'S NOT FAIR!
The hotel blankets do nothing to comfort me, nor do the plushies provided weeks ago by Charlie and Lucifer. Damn it, even when I'm dead I can't escape feeling like shit. I sniffle and softly sob for what feels like hours, but my eyes have run dry.
There's a knock. I turn my head towards the door, telling whoever is on the other side to fuck off and leave me alone. Soon, a voice, Vaggie's voice. I groan and yell louder for her to go away.
"Please, mariposa," she Begs.
"Don't call me that!" I yell.
I hear her sit down in front of the door. I don't move. The clock ticks as I just glare at the door. One of the people who filled a gap in my heart is a liar and killer. Now, instead of a mom shaped hole there's not a Vaggie shaped hole.
"I get it. I understand if you're mad at me," she says from the other side.
I ignore her as I hear her stand up and walk away. Why? Why can't I just be happy?
Charlie's POV
"A smile is a valuable tool, my dear. It inspires your friends, keeps your enemies guessing, and ensures that no matter what comes your way, you're the one in control," Alastor tells me.
I rant about how I was never once in control as the person I trust most has been lying to me for years, Reader is now an even bigger target for Heaven, Heaven refuses to listen and even if they did I have no proof the hotel works, Adam has an invincible exorcist army pointed right at my doorstep and I can't do anything about any of it! I feel and hear my fist connect with the window, not enough to break or crack it but just enough for me to feel it.
"I know something you don't know," Alastor says in a sing song voice.
I keep asking him what he's talking about, but he keeps being vague and cryptic. By now I'm begging for him to tell me and he offers me a deal, one favor at the time of his choosing where I harm no one in exchange for him telling me what he knows. His hand is glowing with a green energy and I take it, feeling my own powers surge through me.
Reader's POV
My sorrowful silence is broken by green lines and symbols coming from the walls and ceiling. I hide in the blankets, scared that something bad is happening. Even on the bed I can feel the hotel shake and the temperature seems to drop. I'm begging with every god I can think over while I hear the sound of my blood rushing in my veins and my heart thumb away like a jackhammer on steroids. New tears somehow form at the corners of my eyes, then it all stops.
I poke my head out from the blanket and the green symbols and lines are gone, the hotel is steady, and it the temperature has gone back to normal. Walking out of my room I make my way downstairs. My breathing is still heavy and my heart rate has only ever slightly slowed down. Next to me, Alastor and Charlie make their way down the stairs. The air around them feels tense, and for once I'm scared of Charlie.
They both look at me. I never changed out of my pajamas and slippers. I pull the blanket closer and look away from them. Those damned wings wrap around me, once again acting as my shield. After what happened yesterday and the green lines and such appearing, I'm scared and I don't have anyone to turn to.
"Mon petit ange, care to join us on an outing?" I hear on my right.
Turning my head I'm met with Alastor's creepy gaze. I give him a confused look and he chuckles.
"Me and Charlie are going out to do something important and I was wondering if you wanted to come along with us?" He asks.
I look at Charlie, the look in her eyes says that her mind is off somewhere else. I turn back to Alastor. I won't be alone in the hotel, but I can't bare to face Vaggie or the others. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as I feel a Alastor grip my wrist. He's made the choice for me it seems. Sighing, I tell him I need to get dressed first.
"Alright, I'm ready to go," I mumble, afraid and almost lifeless.
"You look wonderful, my dear," Alastor says with his standard dramatic flourish.
Normally, that would make me happy... but now, I don't know if he really means it. I walk towards Charlie and reach towards her hand. I feel her grab my hand faster than I can pull away and she guides me out the hotel door.
*A lot of walking later*
Charlie has been ranting about Vaggie not telling her she was angel, for the whole walk. I swear her lungs are giant or she has none. I... I can't find the energy to be upset for Charlie. Everything about this walk feels like a chore. I look around, which is hard when you're in between Charlie and Alastor, and notice wherever we are has a different style than the rest of the city. I can tell Alastor isn't really paying attention.
The more I look around, the more I notice that this place looks straight out of a historical drama or the reenactment scene in a documentary. The people all stare at me with soulless black eyes and fee show sharp toothed smiles. I also notice the lack of any technology beyond the 1800s, or at least I think that's the era this place is in.
"What about me, ME, say ununderstanding..." Charlie rants.
She stops and it's clear she's just as confused about this place as I am. She then picks up her rant only to get tounged tied and ask Alastor where we are.
"Cannibal Town!" He says, once again pulling out all the annoying dramatic stops.
He hooks his left arm with Charlie's right and Charlie uses her free hand to grab my right. Alastor says he has a friend he wants Charlie to meet. Charlie, clearly has her doubts.
"It's... surprisingly nice here," Charlie says.
I can't really argue with her there. The place does feel at peace or as much as a place full of demon cannibals can be. Those soulless black eyes are staring at me, watching me I feel it! Alastor says that the place is nice because of a "very special someone". We both have no choice but to follow him into a crowded store through a stained glass coffin shaped door.
Once we're in the crowded store, I no longer feel stared at. Now all I see are more people dressed to the nines and hear a Jersey accent, or is it New York? Looking towards the voice, I see a grey skinned lady with a giant red hat behind a glass counter. She has the same soulless eyes as everyone else here. Alastor waves in her direction and she makes her way over. I'm hiding out behind Charlie cause I don't trust anyone of Alastor's "friends" who aren't Husk and Niffty.
As this woman is reuniting with Alastor, she seems to notice me and Charlie standing there.
"Oh. Who's this you brought with you?" She asks Alastor.
I can't tell if she's talking about me or Charlie, probably Charlie. The woman makes a joke about how Charie is too young for him, that Charlie rolls her eyes at.
"Oh, I'm just kidding. I know you're an ace in the hole," the woman says to Alastor.
"A what now?" Alastor asks.
Normally, this would be funny but I... I just don't feel like I have it in me to laugh. The woman then scolds Alastor for not having good manners. I glare at this woman for ignoring me. Sure, I'm not as tall as Alastor, but she can't fucking miss me!
"Ah, yes, Charlie and Reader. This is Rosie. The most faring, delightful, and dangerous Overlord this side of the pentagram," Alastor tells us, less annoyingly dramatic this time as Rosie gives us a curtsy.
"Always such a charmer," Rosie comments.
My blood boils the more I look at her, she seems like everything I wanted in a mom and it's not fair that my real mom isn't even real!
"And, Rosie. It's my pleasure to introduce you to Princess Charlie Morningstar, daughter of Lucifer and heir to the throne of Hell," Alastor says while pushing Charlie towards Rosie.
Charlie gives and awkward greeting when Roise, finally, notices me. I feel Alastor looking down on me, stupid prick!
"And, this is Reader. The Hazbin Hotel's youngest and most recent guest," he says, while patting my head.
Rosie crotches down to meet my gaze. She looks kind, but I still hate her. I mumble out a hello before she smiles and stands back up. I feel Alastor looking disappointed in me, but I don't care at this point. Rosie pushes me and Charile towards her stupid little tea time area. I will admit, the place does look nice. She offers us some snacks which make my stomach growls, guess I've earned that for skipping breakfast.
"I'm sure I have a leg around here or something," she mumbles.
She then pokes Charlie in the stomach area, saying something about how "a small thing" like Charlie must be because she's waiting her figure. I then feel her eyes on me as I glare at a spot on the floor.
"Well, I can clearly see someone is upset," Rosie says.
"I'm not upset," I tell her.
She gives me look that every parent has when they know their kid is lying. She then turns around and offers a box of pinkie fingers to Charlie. I was... gross seeing all that. Charlie turns down the fingers and Rosie moves her to one of the Plush looking chairs near the table with the tea set. Rosie sits in the other seat and I stand near Charlie. Rosie then gets up and brings over another chair.
"Well, sit down. A tiny thing like you must be exhausted from all that walking," Roise says.
I want to stand to spite her, but I don't have the energy for it. I sit in the chair and look at the tea set. Rosie sits back down and asks Charlie to "tell Auntie Rosie what she can do for you?"
Rosie whispers something to Alastor and he says that we're here on another type of business. Rosie tells Charlie not keep her in suspense and how she's a very busy woman. I grumble and let my sitting position become more lose and unrefined. Charlie tries to, at first, calmly explain the issue but it all falls apart as she starts speaking a mile a minute and getting tongue tied to the point where Alastor has to step in and fill the gaps.
Rosie asks if there's more to the planned than a bunch of unarmed cannibals and Alastor says that Rosie's people will be less than helpless and will be able to "eat their fill".
"Well, in that case. Why not?" Rosie responds.
Charlie asks if Rosie means it and Rosie just says, "What can I say? I like your moxie, girl." Ending with how Alastor hasnt wronged her before, probably because if he did she wouldve eaten him by now. I sit there, feeling more and more angry the longer I look at Rosie. She... she's everything I wanted but I'm mad at her for being that. Charlie thanks Rosie before Rosie looks back at me.
"I just gotta ask, how old are you?" Rosie asks me.
I tell her I'm a teenager, and I see her soulless eyes widen as she turns to Alastor.
"So, who's the lucky lady?" She asks.
I explain that Alastor isn't my dad and my mom was already "gone" long before I died. Rosie runs a hand on one of my horns, and I can feel it. It feels good for a little bit, but I don't like this stranger touching me. It took Charlie weeks before she even asked about touching my horns.
*Timeskip*
Well, Rosie is yelling through a megaphone for everyone to get in the town square and also advising Charlie that in order to get the cannibals to follow her use would need to win them over. When Charlie asks how, Rosie says something about need sparkle, razzmatazz, and her moxie. I give Charlie a pat on the back while Alastor walks by.
"Shouldn't be a problem. It's not like you've ever failed to inspire before," he tells Charlie.
I give her a side hug and follow the others up the gazebo stairs. Rosie is warning Charlie about how the town sticks together and that to win everyone over she'll need to convince everyone. That sounds, scary but not seemingly impossible until Rosie tells Charlie that there is one cannibal who is hard to convince. Alastor scoffs and his ears point back as he says the name Susan. Guess Karens do end up in Hell not matter the era. As Rosie looks for a polite way to describe Susan Alastor steps in.
"Ornery old bitch?" Alastor says.
"That," Rosie says.
She says that Susan is tough so if Charlie can win her over than everyone else will be easy. Why do I have a bad feeling about this. Charlie takes her place behind the mic and I'm off to the side. Once the intro by Rosie is done, I hear a raspy voice booing. Following the voice I see a dark grey skinned old lady with a fox shawl. Charlie gives Rosie and Alastor a side glance and they confirm that yes, that old woman is the infamous Susan. My bad feeling gets worse.
As Charlie tries to make it through withholding her speech, Susan keeps throwing insults and booing. I've never felt the urge to hit an old lady before but it looks like today is that day. Charlie is barley holding it together and Susan's critical remarks aren't helping. I know someone is gonna snap and it won't be Susan.
"Fuck You! You old bitch!" Charlie yells into the mic while flipping Susan off.
Ive never seen Charlie use the bird or swear before. This is a shock and I'm not sure how to feel. The crowd gasps in shock at this display and I facepalm. Rosie saves the day by pulling a fuming Charlie off stage. I go to follow when a cannibal woman sees me. I try to scurry away faster but she grabs my arm.
"You there, youngster," she says.
"Yes ma'am?" I ask, wanting to get this over with.
I see her reach into her handbag and hands me something. I look at it, trying to figure out what it is when I decide to unwrap it. It's gum, the cannibal woman smiles and I wander away with a stick of gum.
Vaggie's Pov
"With what? Som secret weapon of yours?" I ask.
"Stupid girl, are you really so dense you don't realize you're holding the answer?" Carmilla asks.
It clicks as I look at my spear. I'm surprised at how easy it is and wonder why no one has figured this out yet.
*One Song Later*
"Well look at that, you might just survive this," Carmilla tells me.
It feels nice having my wings agian, but sleeping is gonna be a pain. I tell Carmilla that we're gonna need more weapons and she agreed.
"Oh more thing," she says.
I turn and asks her what else she needs to say.
"I will take the child for safety," she says.
"You mean Reader. Why?" I ask.
"Would you rather they fight in this war?" She asks back.
I don't. Reader's just a kid, a kid who's been through so much. This is what's best, and we had already discussed sending Reader away so the angels couldn't reach them. Carmilla is a better fit than anyone else in Hell.
"Fine, we will," I tell her.
She nods and walks away to start gathering weapons for us to use. I can't help but think of what could go wrong, but mariposa needs to be safe.
Reader's POV
I follow Charlie into the back room with Rosie, I didn't want to but they both insisted. Rosie asks Charlie what's wrong and Charlie spills what happened.
"What do you do when someone you love lies to you about who they are?" Charlie asks Rosie.
Rosie sits down on the couch and saying that romance is her specialty. Rosie asks Charlie for details and Charlie tells everything that happened with Vaggie. Rosie asks Charlie how it makes her feel and Charlie says it makes her feel angry. Rosie listens as Charlie talks about why she's angry and how Vaggie might not have supported the hotel at all.
I look out the window, tuning out what's happening. I have my own problems to deal with. Rosie talks Charlie through her problems and how Vaggie is trying to redeem herself. The conversation seems so heart warming, but it just makes me more mad.
Sure, me and my dad talked through my issues about mom... but now it feels like we wasted all those nights. Every since that meeting my emotions have been switching from angry to depressed to sadness and back again. It hurts, I want to talk to someone but I don't have anyone.
Charlie and Rosie talk more and more, Charlie getting happier by the minute. When Charlie mentions the failed hotel pitch, Rosie asks how Charlie usually does it.
"By singing... but that never works," she admits.
"It will work here. Trust me," Rosie tells Charlie.
Charlie runs off to prepare and I go to follow, but Rosie stops me. She makes me sit where Charlie was just sitting.
"I can tell you've got something on your mind too, kid," Rosie says.
I keep chewing the gum, trying to ignore her. She doesn't stop and says she just wants to help. I spit my gum out into the wrapper and sigh.
"Well, I just learned that the woman I thought was my mom was just a fake identity," I admit.
"That's quite the knowledge," Rosie says.
"Yeah, I was so mad for so long and now I... I just feel," "Like it was all for nothing?" "Exactly!" I tell Rosie.
She moves her hand toward mine and I go to pull it away. I vent to her about everything, growing up without a mom and now learning the person I was mad at didn't exist.
"Well, you have a right to be angry. You also deserve a mother, you're a good kid after all. But just because she doesn't exist doesn't mean you're not allowed to feel angry," Rosie tells me.
I look up at her. She explains that my feelings are real and what that woman did is something I have the right to be mad at.
"But," I start.
"No buts. You're allowed to be angry and hurt," Rosie says, stopping me.
She says that I can heal when I'm ready, and that place in my heart will one day be filled by people who truly love and care about me. I tear up and she opens her arms for a hug. I'm scared but she tells me it's alright. I hug her, tears emerging from the corners of my eyes as Rosie rubs my hair in a soothing manner and tells me it's ok to cry it out.
She moves me onto the topic of those who love and care about me. I list off Vaggie, Charlie, my dad, Husk, Sir Pentious, and Angel. She smiles, saying that I may never be able to forget what happened.
"But, you can make new memories with those who really care. Then one day, if ever, will you be able to fully move on. Now, if ypu ever want to talk, you come vist Auntie Rosie, " Rosie tells me.
I wipe my eyes and thank her. She smiles and says that she's just happy I'm smiling. She says that as she's pinching my cheeks and I tell her to stop. She stands up and offers her hand, asking if I'm ready to go back in front of the cannibals.
"Yeah, I'm ready, Rosie," I say as I grab her hand.
Charlie is now back under the gazebo, nervous but feeling better. I give her a thumbs up with a soft smile as Alastor hands her his microphone.
*One Song Later*
Its late when we're finally back at the hotel. I squeeze my way through the crowd and I see Vaggie, but she has wings. I look behind her and see the scientist and puffy haired ladies from months ago. The both flash me soft smiles. I watch as Charile and Vaggie make up and it makes my heart swell. I follow them back inside the hotel and... everyone is still there. Angel looks down at us from the upper indoor balcony part.
"You doing ok, bambino?" Angel asks.
I nod, just happy that me, Vaggie, and Charlie won't be alone in this fight.
As I look for ways to help, Vaggie and Charlie pull me aside. I ask them what's up and Vaggie looks me in the eyes.
"You're not staying for the fight," Vaggie says bluntly.
"Why not?" I ask, annoyed.
"You're just a kid and Vaggie said that Ms.Carmine is willing to house you during the battle," Charlie explains.
I'm scared. I don't want to leave and never see them again, but I also don't have any skills that could be useful. I'm... I'm soft and squishy. I hug them both, tearing up. But now, I can't tell if it's from sadness or fear.
"I promise to be good," I tell them.
They both laugh and say that they know. I got to help the others with fortifying the hotel, I just hope it's here when I get back.

Last part for old GF sketches
(Actually, most of these aren't old at all, but their average is brought down by the last picture, which I drew back in August and kept forgetting to post)
#fanart#drawing#gravity falls#stanford pines#stanley pines#i wish more people talked about Ford's piano skills#and his shadow puppet skills#i forgot what i was thinking when i rushed these out#something about Ford only taking pride in his skills because of how other people (ie Stanley) appreciate them#and how he attributes everything exceptional about himself to his hands bc that's where his deepest insecurities/motivations come from#but that isn't something Stan or most people think about at all#but he also IS really talented#and so he gets this big fragile ego#stemming from his mother and brother's praise#but also filbrick's neglect#so it's like outside validation is a substitute/reminder of the people that really loved him#bht also he thinks he's different from them and better than them#but he does love them#and he likes making them proud because he likes seeing them happy#maybe he doesn't know how else to make people happy#something something#Stan being his biggest supporter is a double edged sword#because his opinion matters the most and then he's gone#and Ford doesnt have anyone to show off to anymore#OR anyone who can call him a showoff when he gets too into his own head#OR the person he was pitted against in the first place that made him feel special#because- knowingly or not- they always compared themselves#idk man#Ford is an interesting guy and his head fascinates me

time to make your choice only you can be the one
#undescribed#bonk.png#ggg#great god grove#great god grove spoilers#ggg spoilers#<- bc of king n hand gesturing stuff for the au this one gets the spoiler tag#caption is a line from legend of everfree from eg movie of the same name bc its now linked to ggg for me bc of brainrot#first au stuff i dont like have anything really planned out n also dont really plan on doing anything with this beyond doodles#settled on inspekta being a horse bc i want him capochin patty n king to all be earth ponies bc of like permanent having it ingrained from#being an mlp fan as a kid that earth ponies are seen as less special bc they cant use magic or fly n that fits for story similarities#bc inspekta n capochin hating on patty for projection reasons AND inspekta's replacement anxiety n envy of king who in the au#is the only other earth pony lined up to become an alicorn (bc again being specifically an fim fan since i was a kid ingrained in with fanon#that ponies that become alicorns are almost exclusively pegasus or unicorn bc of earth ponies not having as clear of a connection to magic)#in my mind patty is the main character like the bizzyboys are also main characters but its like how the mane six are the main six but#twilight is the MAIN main character its like that n then godpoke is her sidekick (like spike ig but like mysterious stranger style <- idk#what i mean by this) she gets to be the protag bc the type of character godpoke is in the game n how im fitting them to be in the au doesnt#really work for a protag role while patty can be more readily slotted into mlp protag shes the only bizzyboy who cares about solving in the#game (as shown in hobbyhoo) n i like her so she gets to be the protag v-v inspekta is still doing the whole like shit from the game just in#a different way bc of mlp related restrictions n tone differences. the episode where luna goes to nightmare night after being freshly reform#ed walked so milldread section could run however cobigail's deal does run closer to that episode that to the game counterpart but like witho#ut cob having been banished for a thousand years theres no rift in the au bc its. mlp so sort of vague direction is related to the tree of#harmony n like maybe thats how inspekta powers up for the two parter transformation. a thought i had for a workaround for how inspekta keeps#king isolated was maybe turning king to stone n hiding her in plain sight but while that would slide in mlp (they turn a child to stone in t#he series finale apparently??) it leaves a bad taste in my mouth from the ggg angle so probably gonna do something else#art comments both inspekta n cobigail's pony names are taken from ponies i already had inspekta's comes from a different mlpied thing#n cobigail's comes from a fankid (spelled like kandi corn tho bc fankid's a rave girlie) the rest of the gods get to keep their names aside#from maybe bauhauzzo (whos role is undecided) huzzle n click clack arent ponies bc i felt it suited them more huzzle gets to be discordesc#bc i think its fun if like this versions god of chaos wasnt evil BUT that angle is used as slander against huzzle by inspekta#n click clack's a breezy bc small n bratty (we will be ignoring that breezies are mortal if i remember right bc thats not relevant)

im going to be a micro ass
as much as i was frustrated with a number of roadblocks over the past few months like my sewing machine breaking and not being able to afford infinite fabric lol- i had to return to illustrative art and that was a really good thing for my psyche. i think i can say that im like...actually genuinely happy with my art now? i dont want to come off as egotistical but i've always struggled with feeling OK about my illustrative stuff. But after the past few crash course months of daily exercises it feels like everything finally clicked. i can draw easier, faster, and when its done its like "oh yeah. thats my guy. there he is fr."
#ive wanted art to be a bigger part of my life but its always been a side thing i do out of convenience#i think the next step is being ok with just doing it for me#its easier to connect with people about cosplay bc they have some preexisting idea of the character and series#but i only draw OCs which dont have that so i quite literally lose people on an order of magnitude by a factor of 100 on post engagement#but the whole point of pursuing this is to get away from external rewards#like a lot of the comments i get about cosplay stuff are focused on my appearance which does a lot of harm- but that doesnt matter w/ art#and everything about it is my own its not someone elses character based on someone elses idea#its something that came from my own experiences and feelings

Honestly I see Jimmy's refusal to put Curly out of his misery less about his weird feelings of envy or his delusions but the fact Curly is all but stated to be a shield to Jimmy from his actions and people seeing the worst in him.
The only characters that Jimmy really interacts with one on one before the crash are Curly and Anya, two individuals he has wildly different relationships with. It's likely that Curly really did most of the talking between them as the pilots and the rest of the crew as staff. They didn't know of Jimmy's more reprehensible behaviors cause they never really had the chance to and Jimmy is subconsciously aware. If they had disliked him more than Anya would have told Swansea earlier or even Daisuke when things got really bad.
It's why he takes the immediate opportunity to blame Curly; He's the shield. He's saved Jimmy's ass more times than he can count and more times than Jimmy would ever admit. Even when he can't really do it anymore, he mentally shields himself from his own faults by putting Curly between them. Letting Curly die puts too much on him because he doesn't know how to function without a safety net.
In the end Curly only lives because Jimmy needs the idea that Curly will inevitably make things better to stay alive, meaning Curly has to live, no matter how much it pains him to do so.
#in short Jimmy doesnt only care about Curly#he only cares about the securtiy that Curly provides him#and i headcanon that the reason he tried to kill everyone is because he knew it was only a matter of time befor Curly realized this wasnt#somethgin benign Jimmy did that he could smooth over but somethign that Curly would repremand and condem him for and take his security away#like yes Curly did not react fast enough or strongly enough to what Anya told him but you could see him showing more concern over it as I d#understand the psychology behind people and more specifically men like Curly as he is hearing something horrible his friend did to someone#he cares about but has less of a bond with. he feels the need to protect his crew as people first and sadly Jimmy is still the person he wa#closest too yet I still think everything happened too fast for Curly to process as would you not grapple with the fact your closest friend#is a monster you must personally deal with? or that he did something so vile to someone else you have become protective over? Would you not#think of the relative power that friend holds and how if you approuch this wrong it could end badly for everyone? He had all these thoughts#but not enough time to think about them. Also how Jimmy was one of the main people in his personal life he felt a need to protect seeing as#he got him this job. Like imagine the one person you are really trying to make good is still bad after everythign and now you have to be th#hand of judgment youve shielded them from for so long like I do not think Curly handeled the initial situation with Anya correctly I dont#think it was the case of him not believing but not really knowing what to do and feel about it as a friend of both parties the captain and#guy going through his own shit and it says so much that he was dealing with all that so well compared to Jimmy who got everyone killed cuz#he thought being captain would be like sitting on the thrown and not emotionally mentally and physically taxing like I cant say Curly is th#best person due to his inaction but he is a good person doing the best with the knowledge and shitty resources he has cuz like also Id just#be terrified that my suicidal and nilihst bestie who clearly has an inferiority complex around me is the copilot who has access to the most#to the most important parts of the ship and the means to kill us all if he feels like him or his security are being threatened like#Anya and Curly just deserved better because they get put through the ringer like just put him in a class to teach him to be less trusting#anya mouthwashing#curly mouthwashing#captain curly#mouthwashing#mouthwashing game#mouthwashing curly#mouthwashing anya#mouthwashing jimmy#jimmy mouthwashing#mouthwashing spoilers

juvie buddies
#alek art#td duncan#td mal#total drama#total drama all stars#(if i want to get technical)#2024#duncan is around 15 here... mal is around 16#ive thought really hard about them these past few days . in my brain they actually knew each other and canon is different#duncan and mike got along really well. in juvie mal refused to speak to anyone about anything and would fight as many people as he could .#he wanted to stay in there and far away from home . they get roomed together and duncan is the first person who mal can talk to . he isnt#scared of him . he relates to him a lot . like -> wow we both act out for attention and people think we are terrible because of it#duncan being a mentally ill teenager seeing mal an also very mentally ill teenager thought 'i can fix him' . mike and duncan speak too here#i cant really see anyone else fronting besides those two . their brain was on lockdown and mike wanted out so bad . i see manitoba as a#gatekeeper so hed handle some sessions with their psych. i want to say they (duncan and mike) get moved to a psyche ward just because#i have more knowledge on being in one and how it goes ... but yeah i like duncan mal a lot . this art isnt ship whatsoever though 🙏 i dont#see them as a couple their dynamic is just better as friends imo#but anyways in all stars they obviously recognize each other but have an unspoken agreement not to say anything abt it#duncan is a known criminal but mike isnt like that . mike hadnt even told zoey about that part of his life . so duncan wanted to respect his#privacy -> then mal starts hurting people and he has to step in . mal isnt a good person by any means but i dont think he was that bad in#juvie . so duncan had to come to terms that his friend wasnt the same person he was years ago (in all stars duncan is ~18 and i think mike#is almost 20... so it had been a while since they last talked)#them getting each other like no other and being in pain because they couldnt really speak . i see them having a conversation still in moon#madness abt their past and history . god i just think abt them and their wasted potential wdym mike and duncan were in juvie together#duncan was in for trespassing or destruction of private property or something really dumb . mal fought his parent(s) and got in for assault#mal was already in when duncan was placed . and duncan was let out early on good behavior + his parents (dad) mostly did it to teach him a#lesson . wrong of them or otherwise . so mal was just kinda stuck there until they realized he was actually not right in the head . think he#knew abt their DID but was only diagnosed in juvie and had to go from there . tbh he shouldve been tried as an adult but td logic . doesnt#matter dw guys . mike gets the 'was put on random meds that made him go braindead' treatment bc that was me . post mental hospital abilify#had me messed up

I LOVE UR BRAIN SO BAD 😭😭😭 YOU ALWAYS POST THEBBEST HEADCANONS AND THOUGHTS LIKE. WORK HUSBAND GOJO. AND JUST HAVING A WHOLE IMAGINATION OF THE OFFICE W NANAMI AND HIGURUMA AND TOJI I?????? I WANT TO LIVE IN YOUR BRAIN
TEEHEEEE you’re so sweet <33333 the work husband to actual husband to househusband gojo pipeline is so so real to me and the office au that comes with it truly does take up space in my brain, so here’s some more loosely established points
satoru has been your work husband since you got your first job in undergrad. you two met in your dorms, and became friends, and eventually you thought a job would help with your time management skills, so you got a very low-maintenance position at the front desk of the library. satoru applied right after you and schmoozed the two little old librarians into giving him the same shifts as you. that was probably the first moment satoru knew he was a little bit in love with you—because he had no reason to have a job while in school, but this small change in your schedule made him miss you so much that he was moved to get his very first job, probably ever, just to spend more time with you.
he wasn’t bad at his library receptionist job, but he technically wasn’t good at it, either. if a student asked him for a laptop charger or to check out a book or something, he could do that, but anything else he’d just smile and say, “oh, you’ve gotta ask the pretty girl right there about that, she knows way more than me,” and bat his eyelashes at you. except, then, when you did need to get up to grab something for someone, satoru would just spring up instead, and tell you he’s got it. it’s like… he was incapable of helping anybody else unless he got to flirt with you, and then help you out to help them out……… strange boy
anyways, satoru makes it a habit to assist you through your student jobs throughout undergrad, and then follows you to the same law school and repeats the process there. (also not to elle woods-ify him a bit but his father heavily questions him going to law school btw because satoru has never showed any interest in working, let alone following in his footsteps to be a lawyer, and now he’s going to law school? his mom is a bit sharper though, because when satoru tells his parents he’s going to the same law school as you, she just smiles and sips her tea and wonders if her son has already made a trip to their family jeweler).
the firm is large, but the floor you work on is a pretty close knit group. there’s hiromi’s office at the tail end, which is the largest because he’s managing partner and he practically lives in there. on the other end, both you and nanami have decently sized offices. satoru doesn’t like hiromi at first because he thinks he’s mean. then satoru watches him play a little prank on kento, and suddenly the two of them are best friends. it would be a surprisingly wholesome friendship if their common denominator wasn’t irritating kento, and acting as guard dogs for you.
kento’s office used to be just the bare necessities—law books, his degree, basic furniture, maybe a fancy paperweight, until satoru got his hands on it and decked it out. which is not something kento asked for, nor he thinks is necessary, but that doesn’t stop satoru from continually adding little trinkets and decorations and art to his office to make it livelier. when kento first meets you, he’s surprised when you tell him satoru gojo is going to be your secretary because kento interned for satoru’s father for two summers during law school, but when kento sees you and satoru together for the first time, it answers all of his questions. satoru couldn’t be more of a lovesick fool if he tried.
listen the ex-convict to single father to janitor to lawyer toji pipeline is so real to me. while toji is working as a janitor at the firm, satoru slips once and then jokes that toji shines the floors too aggressively on purpose to make him slip, toji tells him to fuck off and he can sue for harassment. they truly don’t like each other at first, but once satoru steals toji’s masterkey to get into your office one night after you’re gone to leave flowers, and handle some paperwork to lighten your load in the morning, toji is sort of impressed. he still almost hits him with a broomstick, but even someone as gruff as him can see that satoru had pure intentions. toji is a lot of things, but he’s not immune to or devoid of love or passion. so, eventually he and satoru develop a weird sort of banter and respect for each other. one day someone actually tries to accuse toji of not putting the wet floor sign down and how it’s gonna be a lawsuit because some lowlife janitor fucked up his $3000 suit. satoru catches the argument as he’s heading upstairs and recognized the schmuck as the stuck up lawyer on the other side of kento’s case. satoru’s ready to jump in, but toji’s displaying an impressive amount of physical restraint and legal knowledge that when the dust is all settled, satoru asks him if he ever considered being a lawyer. toji laughs at it at first, but after a month of serious consideration (and megumi becoming a college freshman), he figures it can’t be all that bad. and turns out, toji’s a half-decent lawyer—once you’ve spent so much of your life skirting (or blatantly breaking) the law, you become pretty good at getting people out or around it, too. and with his life experience, he’s a pretty good judge of character; so when it comes time to lock up the bad ones, toji makes sure they get the maximum sentence.
except he has a bad habit of sending out emails with “URGENT: NEEDS ATTN” in the subject, which prompts you, kento, and hiromi to rush to his office, just to see toji with his feet up on his desk tell you that, “the emergency is i hate the opposing counsel, and now that i work on this side of the law i’d really like to not kill him, so somebody else should take this case.”
anyways back to work husband secretary satoru. he pulls you out of boring meetings under the guise of an urgency, just for him to admit that the emergency is that he missed you, and you two were gonna be late for your lunch reservation. because he’s actually a licensed attorney, he can actually carry out duties an associate otherwise would, which saves you a lot of time and trouble; and it means that satoru gets to work even more closely with you, which is always an upside for him. sometimes you ask him to hand you documents and instead he just hands you his hand. and then pretends to blush and preen like a schoolgirl which always draws way too much attention to the two of you, but there’s no way to stop him either. he takes your coat off of your shoulders when you arrive in the morning, and helps you put it back on in the evening. when you tell him you’re looking for an apartment closer to the firm, he has eight places lined up for viewing, and one surprise at the end which happens to be the other vacant penthouse suite in his apartment building; which, conveniently, would make you satoru’s neighbor. he claims that it’ll be just like in college, but it certainly doesn’t feel that way when you finally move in and satoru can now loudly and proudly proclaim, “see you at home!” in the halls at work now.
#answered#that was a lot..... sorry this universe is so vivid to me#maybe i should rewatch suits..............#tho the first time you actually go on A Date with a real dude nothing work related satoru crumbles#he's so quiet at work for the entire day everyone thinks he must be sick or something#the day after your date he's sort of back to normal but something is off.... you don't bring up the date tho so he takes that a good sign#for him at least bc if u have nothing to say u must not have found him all that interesting righ t#but then you briefly mention a second date and now satoru has to get serious#and by serious i mean dig up everything there is to possibly dig up on this guy#way past public records he's calling favors as the DA's office he's calling his dad he's calling moles in the police. if this dude is gonna#be serious about you then he better be squeaky clean#except satoru 100% gets caught by kento who tells him that he needs to stop digging up dirt on ur date#which makes satoru pout and whine but whatever he'll drop it (only bc kento reminds him that if You find out ur gonna be Pissed)#then he really goes back to being himself but 10x#arm around your shoulder driving you everywhere himself introducing himself to ur date with the most smug grin on his face#it doesnt take long for this guy to get uncomfortable/ask you whats up with you and satoru and in the end satoru drives him away anyway#he might not be able to confess to you but he sure can keep everybody else away#besides theres only so many hours in the day u should focus on the important things: him and work 😇#jjk x reader#satoru x reader#lawyer au#satoru.ask

kids when they hear that their dad is back in town VS. kids when theyre hanging out with a conman that accidentally stole their wallet once
im not even joking btw
bonus heres me being crazy about them in dms ^^^
#mob psycho 100#mp100#shou suzuki#sho suzuki#reigen arataka#i know sho doesnt actually BELIEVE his dad is back but even just that split second reaction is a weird one to have over your dad coming bac#he was like 'say sike rn... wait that aint right.'#shou watching them on the bottom floor while being isolated up in the corner at the end of the third stage play. and saying#'it's nice that they're so easygoing.' all wistfully???? im killing somebody#reigen calling him a poor thing and worrying about him DESPITE knowing his mischievous ways. ugh#gonna quote my reaction to clip rq#'bro [shou] heard him [reigen] talking about guardianship over children and making sure theyre safe over anything else and was like-#'this is getting too real for me i gotta make fun of him immediately.''#idc WHAT yall think to ME that was such a thick layer of defense mechanism that even though reigen's guardianship speech wasnt directed#at Sho he still felt the intrinsic urge to shoot back because of what hes experienced with people who are SUPPOSED to be protecting him.#would yall believe me if i told you i am totally insane#there are SO MANY THINGS. woven into their interactions that really enhance it#its totally silly! yes! but also! it is a legitimate ARC of GROWTH within their relationship! we watch as Sho starts off#with no trust in the man at all (although for a pretty good reason)#and over time he realizes hes NOT total shitbag#of course this doesnt mean hes completely vulnerable with him. its easy to infer that his distrust in certain people is formed from#a lifetime of being let down and incapability of dependency on certain trusted adults. his defense must be so heavily built up#even after gaining some sort of trust from Shou Reigen will NOT be exempt from his impish defense mechanisms.#sho will not make himself emotionally available as he would then be open to being hurt by someone else he thought could trust#his 'carefree and prankish' behavior is the wall between himself and such an intense feeling of disappointment and hurt and loneliness#but i like to think hes also just silly. hehe#man that stage play huh. shoots every fatal drug directly into my bloodstream#shou's trust and father issues VS stupid conman who has the common sense to not let children be beat up by grown ass adults. who will win.#i mightve forgotten something but. i think this is pretty packed full already so i am pleased. thank you for reading <3#meowmeow art
