So the big brother trio (someone tell me whenever the official name has been decided)
They're the only Responsible Adults in the group. Yes Time can be responsible, but he's so vague and kinda distant, also a total gremlin, that he's not a Responsible Adult. Likewise, the other ones are also responsible but they're not Responsible.
So, the bbt have designated kids. At some point along the way, they realized the situation and discussed between themselves which two of the other heroes they'd take care of.
It's early LU, not full on early but mid-early.
Sky gets Legend on default, Legend does not listen nor really respect either Twilight or Warriors. He also gets Hyrule, because Downfall Duo and because Hyrule and Wild need separate adults so they can at least minimize the little adventures the two get up to.
Twilight gets Wild on default, because Wild knows he is/will be Wolfie and attaches to him. Twilight lets him and they're a pair. He also gets Four because they shared their secrets and they trust each other.
Warriors gets Time on default because he's the only one Time actually listens to as an authority figure and not as a younger peer who is trying their best. Obviously he snatches up Wind too, he already legally adopted them in the war anyways.

Ohh could you do Poly! Chain minus Wind because he’s a minor!
Like the reader Is non binary and likes to dye their hair and have a bunch of tattoos and piercings! How would the chain react to that?
If you can’t do that then:
Reader who is obsessed with the chains ears? Like they have a love for elves in fantasy so they are obsessed with the chains ears?
Tumblr media
I can absolutely do the first one! Just a heads up part of this will be a short story that will lead into headcanons format! Hope you don't mind. Thank you for requesting :)
Warnings: Mentions of needles and piercings if not a big fan.
The group of traveling hero's were heading towards a certain village that was thankfully wasn't too far. It was also relieving since youngest of the group was getting a bit antsy; they've been walking non-stop for hours. More than what they usually do.
Their outer-worldly friend was also reaching their limit, but from what the group has been told. They aren't used to walking such long distances; they're only able to keep going this far because of the view.
Twilight lightly snorts at the thought. There isn't a pretty view in Hyrule Field, especially his Hyrule in his opinion, Wild's version of Hyrule is much more beautiful. Although [Name] has adamantly denied his wording, speaking on how they never thought they would even see any version Hyrule.
A small bashful smile appears on his lips as he recalls the conversation. Honestly how did they all end up with someone who isn't afraid to speak openly to them?
Twilight shakes his head lightly before facing forward, gently leading Epona to a familiar route. Kakariko Village. Yet one thing still remains in his mind, the type of clothing [Name] is wearing.
Said person is happily following others to the village. A decent pace for themselves so they won't collapse when they finally stop, but being completely honest they feel like they might at any moment. Why didn't they accept Legend's insistence on changing clothing at their last stop?
A black baggy hoodie with a comfortable shirt underneath and casual jeans. It was an outfit that they wore back home before ending up here which in all fairness was something that was normal! It was getting fresher since winter is coming up, so it wasn't their fault that they were wearing a warm outfit.
Finally, did the familiar gates of Kakariko village appear. It was sort of like someone did magic on the group as visibly their shoulders stopped tensing. Their voices gained a bit more volume as they all walked the path.
Wind rushed forward and headed straight for the spring that is off to the side. A smile formed on Time's lips as he watched over the younger one; he was going to follow until [Name] also ran past everyone to follow after him.
Time held a bit of fondness for them. Although he refuses to say anything outwardly, merely enjoying the rest of the boys look of shock whenever he does a 'charming' act towards [Name].
A small exhale left from Time before turning away from the duo, he trust that the both of you will be able to take care of each other. Instead he called for the his descendant and asked if there were any place that could provide for the group.
The two went further into the village with Twilight leading. The rest of the group went off into separate directions, a bit curious to how the village was different.
Sky and Wild walked off to the bomb shop that's still up and running. They both heard Twilight speak of a certain bomb that can go off underwater.
Four and Legened went to the 1st ever shop of Malo Mart. They wanted to see what was for sale, and if the shop was actually run by a child.
Meanwhile Hyrule simply decided to follow [Name] and Wind to the spring. He did wanted to clean up his face a bit after all that traveling. Hyrule's eyes squinted in fondness as he spots the two near the edge of the spring. They were laughing at each other as well as splashing water on their clothes until it got a bit more intense which derailed into the both of them tackling each other into the water.
Hyrule hurried over and helped Wind up with [Name] also pushing the boy up. The duo giggling at their actions without a care. "Honestly, did you two really had to go that far?" spoke Hyrule as he grabbed Wind's bag from his hands. The young sailor had handed it to him as he tried wringing the water from his clothes.
"Of course! The little devil insulted me," [Name] said with a bit of snark, "you think I was going to let that slide?" They removed their hoodie and tied it around their waist, thank goodness it was only that got drenched.
"Holy shit! Those are so cool! Are those permanent?!"
Hyrule:
Shocked to the fucking core when he saw your tattoos for the first time.
He thought they were so interesting and hesitantly asked if he could look at your arm.
When you say yes??
Yall he is looking at them like they were drawn by hylia herself.
He enjoys tracing them with his fingers
When you explain how they were made he was lowkey concerned
Wdym it’s a bunch of needles piercing your skin with ink??
WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT TOOK A FEW DAYS FOR THEM TO BE DONE???
He almost fainted when you showed him your tongue piercing
There was no way he would willingly poke a hole into his own tongue
Sees you in a different light now
But like also curious if he could get a piercing as well-
YOUR HAIR MAKES HIM STARE A LOT
Currently it's dyed a lilac color and seriously believes that it suits you very much
dyes a small part of his hair the same as yours
Time:
Impressed-
Knows damn well those things hurt
Really loves the way everything was shaded in
Also loves the way you had your entire arm covered
Respects the amount of hours you put aside to make sure it came out well
Thoroughly enjoys your piercing in reality
First one to notice the one in your tongue
Totally didn’t fall in love even further when you told him the process
teehee 100% loves you with snake bites
Also impressed with your pain tolerance
You changed your hair to a soft pink
Honestly entranced with your hair
Reminds him of the fairies from one of the Great Fairies from Termina
Legend:
Whatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhatwhat
When did you get those???
Do they still hurt??
Why did you get those??
Who made them for you??
Also does not like your piercing
DON'T BLAME THE GUY FOR SOME REASON HE JUST DOESN'T
Ofc he won’t make you take them off
Aint no way he letting your money go to waste
Only thing he does like are your tattoos and the regular ear piercings you have
Lowkey cries when you pierce his and Ravio’s ears
Cries again when he realizes that all three of you have matching jewelry
Now its a nice teal color that Legend really loves too
He helps with you taking care of it and keep its color
Ravio helps you redye so that your hair stays
Twilight:
BARKING LIKE THE DOG HE IS
FUCKING LOVES EVERYTHING
THE TATTOOS AND THE PIERCING
PACKAGE DEAL BABY
Definitely whines when you refuse to do matching tattoos with him
Only because he chooses the ugly designs
Also because you don’t trust the way people do tattoos in hyrule
Enjoys switching out the jewelry for the ones that can be switched out
Buys you the good quality gems honestly-
Twilight always questions how you were able to get your hair silver
Seriously how many tries did you have to do to get that color??
Four:
Move out of the way yall it's his turn
Asks about your favorite piece that’s on your arm
Makes notes about your likes and dislikes and hears about the one that really hurt
He makes little items that are similar in design that you have
Each of the colors have their own personal preference
But yknow combined they love you either way
Violet loves your snake bites <33
Red sometimes pokes at the industrial piercing that you have
Blue finds different designs for your helix piercing
Cherry Red
Your hair is cherry red
You can imagine who's really happy that you changed your hair to that color huh?
Sky:
Colors in your tattoos-
Yall laying together and your arm is exposed?
He’s pulling out paint to go in a fill in the blanks
Goes into extreme detail when painting on your arm
Feels like you deserve only the best
Does get a bit sad when you have to wash it away
Although he doesn’t mind since he gets to redo it
Really wants to match tongue piercings with you tbh
Thinks they’re pretty and bc why not?
He loves the color you chose this time
The baby blue really reminds him of the sky that he was used to seeing back home
Wild:
Probably the only one that actually goes through with it
You have to stop him from going diy everything
Mans lives in the woods half of the time
You know damn well he will forget to clean and sanitize the wounds
To make up for it you probably make him temporary tattoos
LIGHT GREEEEN
Always teases that each strand of your hair is worth 1 rupee
It's actually a really pretty color and when it does fades it goes nicely
Probably the only time you'll let him match with you
You dye a small chuck on his fair to make him happy
Warriors:
Down so bad tbh
First time he spots the tongue piercing when you teased him by sticking your tongue out?
Literally folded so fast
Goes hands first on your face and softly touches the snake bites near your lips
Doesn't pay attention to anything else
Only focuses on making sure he doesn't hurt you when he does messes with the jewels
You have split hair with him
Half side is black and the other is white
Definitely messes up your hair on purpose whenever he sees you perfectly separate them
but eventually does help you part it bc he'll do anything to make you happy

LU Opera AU
Links, Zeldas and other major characters run a moderately successful opera house/musical theater. Some are onstage, others are in the orchestra pit or are working Behind The Scenes (special effects, costuming, etc)
Wars is the headlining diva singer
I love it
I can see Four and Flora as like, the special effects crew, they handle anything and everything that isn't the actors and they're fantastic at it.
Lullaby is their director/the owner of the opera house, and Time is her trusty right hand who also acts as the choreography director and main stunt writer. He doesn't preform, but he runs the actors through their hoops before they can even think of stepping out onto the stage.
I see Wind less as a performer and more like the gopher, and Legend is less an actor and more a jack-of-all-trades. Costume department had a flummox? Call Legend, he'll fix it. One of the props is missing? Legend will find something you can use until that one shows up again. Someone's sick? Get a wig and a dress, Legend will fill in tonight. Just, dude does everything, but never consistently, and never without complaining at least a little.
Warriors would totally be a diva 100%, but he also works hard for it and puts his all into every role. Blood, sweat, and tears, baby, literally. He loves his work and will do whatever it takes to keep his role and status (short of harming someone else of course)
I see Twilight as playing one of two roles, or potentially both. He's the top stunt guy, but he also does the heavy lifting backstage and helps craft the sets with Four. Both are decent actors to boot, so if they need a large cast, both will fill in roles that suit them (Four ends up playing the villain a lot for some reason) as long as someone else can cover their asses in other departments (Flora had lights/sounds covered, no worries)
Wild is that one actor who plays random roles whenever is needed, and he's a comedy genius. My current manager's husband and I were in theater club together and he was brilliant with turning boring moments into comedy gold, and Wild does this 100%. He's best when paired with Fable (they make a good team in SMASH I hear) and they're a brilliant duo, although Legend threatens Wild about his sister a LOT.
Dusk and Artemis are both Warriors' most common co-stars (besides Twilight, Lullaby likes playing up their contrast with each other on stage) and Dusk takes an almost mentorly role with the younger woman. They and Warriors make up the Diva Trio of the group and are the ones who's names pull in teh most money. The only downside is that while Artemis and Wars can both sing, Dusk cannot and it's kinda acting as a road-block in her career.
For this reason, I can see Malon as a music coach Time hired (and is totally not falling in love with, what are you talking about) who kinda just works beside Ravio (their in house prop maker)to get this group of dedicated idiots to take care of themselves. not that Time's sisters and brothers (Saria and the others) don't try, but they don't work there.
Honestly, i'm running out of ideas. But to finish off Sky would be Time's best student. I mean, his sword-fighting and stunts are through the roof (sometimes literally) and he enjoys most of his work. maybe because he has a sword-fighting instructor outside of work (Fi) but that's beside the point.
Hyrule is the new kid who signed on to help Legend and Ravio with props and costumes and stuff, but he's like, really talented and crap and all the teams are trying to poach him from Leg and Rav, despite how fiercely protective of him they are. He's not exactly comfortable with the idea of performing yet, but everyone is trying to have him at least try (were this a story, warriors would try and coach him, end up mysteriously and plot-relevantly sick/injured and Hyrule would have to heroically step up and fill his role because Legend can't for some reason)
....
Okay that's all I got, sorry for the dump, but inspiration hit me like a lightning bolt to Legend's boat

I was tagged earlier today for a prompt by the lovely @peepthatbish to write. It's a bit longer than expected, but I hope everyone enjoys. Thank you for tagging me! ❤
Disclaimer: I don't own Linked Universe that is jojo's work.
Warnings: Wild and Hyrule being slight menaces to Sky, Sky's kinda mean.
1,542 Words
Tempt - 5 times Hyrule tried cooking and the 1 time it came out alright.
The hero of skies rarely had any negativety running walking through his brain. However, his brothers (namely Wild and Hyrule) trying to tempt him to eat dubious food the latter made let some negative thoughts stay inside his head.
....
The soft clanging of the wooden soup ladle Sky had gifted Wild in the early start of the adventure was combined with the swirling of the delicious aroma of the contents inside the pot. Wild was taking the time to teach Hyrule some recipes that he had learned through his time in the wild of his Hyrule.
"Alright, continue stirring the broth as you add an acorn and a Hyrule herb into the pot." Wild instructed as he pointed over to the ingredients that were kindly placed on a cloth for Hyrule.
Hyrule's hazel eyes flick between the pot and the ingredients. His left hand holds the handle of the ladle, gently continuing the stirring motion that Wild taught him as his right hand grabs the instructed ingredients.
Hyrule tossed the last of the ingredients into the pot with a quiet 'blop' sound as they made contact with the broth.
"There!" Hyrule called out as a smile spread across his face, "What's next?" Hyrule looked over at Wild expectantly, smile ever present.
Wild snorts at his sword brother's eagerness. "Now you continue to stir it for a little while. I'll tell you when to stop and we can have a taste yeah?" As he finished his sentence Hyrule vehemently nodded his head in agreement causing a chuckle to come from Wild.
It was a nice bonding experience for the both of them after being grounded by Legend after their previous adventure that led the Chain to believe the worst of the worst had happened to the two young men.
"Alright, alright! That's enough stirring, now let's taste it," Wild held out his hand and Hyrule handed him the ladle. Scooping up as much of the broth as Wild could, he brought it closer to his mouth.
Taking a long whiff of the sweet-and-salty drumstick broth before putting his lips on the ladle. Wild rolled his tongue in his mouth as he tasted all the flavours of the broth that Hyrule made, with his guidance, before giving an approving hum.
"So, how does it taste?" Hyrule asked, leaning closer to Wild in anticipation. Wild smiled at him as he held the ladle out towards Hyrule, "I believe you successfully made a hearty broth!"
Hyrule smiled having a taste himself, humming as his eyes grew wide from the bubbling excitement of having made such a delicious broth!
"Let's get someone else to taste it as well," Hyrule suggested as Wild nodded.
The two searched through the makeshift camp that the Chain had made before stumbling on Wind and Sky. The former was happily talking about an exaggerated adventure he had in his Hyrule.
Walking up to the duo as they nodded at each other in greetings.
"Hey guys, I just finished teaching Hyrule a recipe of mine. Do either of you wanna be a taste tester?" Wild announced placing his hands on his hips with Hyrule adding on, "Yeah it tastes wonderful!"
Wind and Sky's expressions morphed into those of pure horror as their ears pinned back. A nervous smile formed on Sky's face, fidgeting with his hands as he stuttered out a reply, but was cut off by Wind's disruptive actions.
Wind shot up from his place, face terrified as his wide baby blue eyes flick around the area - not dating to meet Wild's or Hyrule's - before declaring aloud.
"Sorry I can't, I forgot I had to go and help - " Wind thought briefly of a name he could use as an excuse, eyes still avoiding Wild and Hyrule's. "Time? Time  - yes, Time! I have to go help Time with ... something!" The boy finished hastily.
"But isn't he fishing with - " Hyrule cut his own question off by Wind's spinning as he ran for dear life. "Can't talk! Gotta help, bye!" Wind yelled back barely sparing the trio a glance as he made haste.
Sky seemed like he wanted to cry as he watched the young lad abandon him to his fate. Turning back to Hyrule and Wild as they looked at him, the latter involuntarily giving him puppy eyes as the former frowned in disappointment.
Sighing to himself before agreeing to the request, Wild and Hyrules expressions brighten to blinding, innocent smiles as they cheered. Sky silently sent a prayer to the Golden Three to have mercy on his taste buds while sluggishly following behind the two young men.
"Oh you're going to love it! I followed Wild's every instruction," Hyrule chirped as his hands were placed on Sky's shoulders, urging him to take a seat as Wild skipped over to the soup ladle in the pot and scooped up the broth and blew lightly.
Sky's azure eyes closed as he gave a tight smile at the two's eagerness and excitement, internally dreading preparing himself for the horrid taste that will soon envelope his mouth.
In truth, Sky wanted to run away from the pair just as much as Wind did, but he didn't have the heart to deny the two - not after looking at their pure expectant innocent faces.
He didn't want to be the unfortunate taste tester, the memory of the disgusting green bubbly broth Hyrule had made early in their adventure had ingrained the rotten, bitter taste of beef into his mouth and soul.
The memory makes Sky shiver in his very spot as he fearfully sceptically eyes the gravy-like substance contents in the soup ladle, swallowing thickly.
"Come on! It's really good I promise!" The smile was evident in Hyrules voice as he encourages Sky whilst firmly holding Sky in place as Wild urges the ladle towards his lips.
The ladle touches Sky's lips as fear spiked in his core making him jump slightly in panic. Wild and Hyrule not having noticed or just plainly ignoring his sudden jolt kept encouraging him.
Closing his eyes once again as he gathers all the courage that he, as the Chosen Hero title, could manage before opening his mouth to let Wild push the ladle into his mouth.
To Sky's surprise the broth didn't taste anything alike to Hyrule's previous attempts of cooking. The broth was the perfect amount of watery and thickness with a nice blend of honey sweetness and salty taste of a flavourful drumstick.
His hands moved to grab the soup ladle out of Wild's hand as he finished the spoon's contents. Humming in surprise delight as he licks his lips. His wide azure eyes look over at the pot before turning to the pair.
Hyrule and Wild stared at him, impatiently waiting for his feedback on the broth. Sky nodded his head as he spoke, "That's really good! It tastes exactly like Wild's cooking. Are you sure that you made this Hyrule?"
Sky joked as Hyrule nodded proudly to him, chest puffed out and hands on his hips. "Sure did, but I owe my thanks to the Chef," Hyrule's hand makes contact with Wild's shoulder in a brotherly slap as they chuckle.
"Well, we're glad you like it two. It's settled then, that's tonight's dinner." Wild announced, giving Hyrule an ego boost from his hard work.
....
As the day went on and the Sun started to retire, casting the sky to become a deep blend of purple and blue hues indicating the crepuscule twilight to embrace the land of Hyrule.
Everyone starts to gather around the campfire.
Wild, Hyrule and Sky have already made themselves comfortable as the others take their place. Idle chatter about how their own day went to each other making the atmosphere cosy.
"So, what's for dinner, Chef?" None other than Warriors speaks up, hungry from his training with Legend. The conversations die down quickly as everyone waits for Wild to speak.
"Actually, I didn't make dinner tonight," Wild stated with a smile on his face as he shrugged his shoulders at Warrior's question.
Wild and Hyrule snickered to themselves at the confused expressions on the faces of their sword brother's.
"If ya didn' make dinner then who made dinner?" Twilight spoke up from the group, curious who made the wonderful smelling food as he glanced around the many unnervingly similar faces of the Heroes of Hyrule.
"I did." Hyrule stated, smiling wide and eyes glinting in pride.
The rest of the Chain did not seem to share the sentiment as their expressions portrayed the same emotion as Sky and Wind's did earlier that day - pure horror.
The camp went silent as everyone stared wide eyed at Hyrule, the only sound coming from the fire.
Sky, having grown uncomfortable with the silence, missing the lively chatter decided to break the understandably heavy silence.
"It tastes really good. Wild and Hyrule hand me taste test it for them earlier today," Sky explained watching heads snap in his direction as faces turn from horror to bafflement.
Surprise mixing on their faces by him having spoken up.
A single thought shared almost telepathically between everyone at that moment.
'Sky had finally lost his sanity.’

What was meant as Hyrule and Lorule duo thing became Wild adopting his lorule self. Which is still duos but I of course make thinks fun for myself and add on plot stuff from a theory I saw once. So I hope you enjoy!
Link stood back, his sword falling to his side. He keeps an eye on the shadow version of himself as the darkness begins to leak out and burn into the sky around it. This enemy appearing to kill him after all that had happened couldn't be ignored. He waits for the monster to disappear but..it never does. It remains but its appearance begins to change. The white hair shifts into a darker color. The tunic changes from a mocking dark version of the champion's tunic into a purple version of something close to the ones Hateno sells. The Hero raises a brow and hesitantly steps forward. He instantly regrets it as the body suddenly sits up gasping for air. Link aims his sword forward again. Ready for a fight. The other simply gulps air down and awkwardly glances around in a swaying kind of way. Then it looks up at Link. Fear fills the gaze of the other and instantly tries to scramble away. " AAAAAHHH DON'T KILL ME I'M SO SORRY-" it began to scream. Link stares in utter alarm. " You can..you can talk? " he questions. The former copycat smacks straight into the ground before nervously looking back at Link. A confused yet fearful gaze on the other's face. " Y-yes..? " " But you couldn't before. " Link retorts. The confusion grows worse. The person on the ground's eyebrows furrow. " Yes I could. " almost offended by the notion they could not. Link frowns at this. " No. When you were trying to kill me earlier you did not talk! " " I've never seen you before in my life! I never tried to kill you! " the person snaps back at Link. Frustration burns in him now. " Yes! You just did! You've been chasing me for months! Trying to do just that! I won't fall for this ploy Shadow Link! " The furrowed brows grow more knitted. The attempt to curl into a tree to hide loosens. " That's..that's not my name. " " What? " Link asks, unsure of what was just said. It makes no sense to him. None of this does anymore. The person looks at Link. A frown appears. " That is not my name.." Link grows quiet. A tight grasp on his sword as he lowers it a little. " Then what is your name exactly? " With great hesitancy, the person stood up. They stood about Link's height. This didn't look like a warrior to him, no weapon in sight and he couldn't really see any chainmail. " My name is Ravio. " Such a strange name, but Link wasn't going to say so. At least not out loud. " What are you doing here, Ravio? " he needed answers. Ravio seems to think for a moment. Then slowly a growing look of horror fills his expression. Tears burn in his eyes. " I can't..I can't remember. I don't know why or how I got here! " The distress was clear in his voice. It was painful to hear. Link swallows dryly. A hint of doubt echoes in his mind. He stashes his sword and steps forward. He stretches his hand out to Ravio, who looks at him unsurely. " It's alright. We'll figure this out together. " Link says gently. The gentleness may have helped. As Ravio hesitantly takes his hand and gets to his feet. " Did I really try to kill you? " he asks in a quiet whisper. Link stays quiet for a moment. Leading them out of the Lost Woods. " I'm not sure anymore.." he mutters back. All Link knew was that he was going to help Ravio.

Based on this.
Skyward Sword Link (Sky in LU terms) getting a Bendy of his own! Although I'm not talking about the cute toon version but the Ink Demon.
Tumblr media
How does this happen? Well, a small sliver of the Ink Demon's body ends up in Link's world specifically Skyloft. The original design of Ink Demon Bendy from BATIM had ink constantly pouring down his face so I can imagine the shift into this more threatening form left behind a MESS.
This displaced inky piece comes to life in the form of a small baby imp with the first person they see being our Skyloftian hero. (By small I mean this little imp isn't bigger than the average shoe.) Now this takes place about a year or two before the events of Skyward Sword.
Link doesn't know what to think of this strange fellow but he doesn't have the heart to leave an infant alone. So...the Ink Demon is taken in and given the name Shimmer or Shi for short(based on how light shimmers against the imp's inky body)
Now what Sky doesn't know is that he accidentally formed a magical pact with his little companion. Shimmer essentially becomes his familiar and such a bond has interesting effects on both parties. Everything is dandy as a year passby with the only one aware of Shi being Sky's Loftwing.
Then our hero wakes to find his little imp isn't so little anymore. Imagine waking up to an asleep 7'9 inky demon laying on top of you in a cuddle and realizing it's the baby you been caring for a year. Or to find a mysterious symbol now on your hand with a similar one on his demon's opposite hand.
Shimmer's appearance is gonna be a bit different than the Ink Demon's due to his pact with Sky. More softer, and bearing some traits based on the Skyloftian. Thankfully Shimmer is still his friendly playful self than the demon he originated from.
Sky might've dove into any books on magic or witchcraft immediately after that wake up call. Something that leads to Zelda (Sun in LU terms) discovering Shimmer. Luckily Shi's childlike curiosity helps convince her to keep Sky's demon companion secret.
Shimmer can shift between four different forms: Toon, Ink Demon, Ink and Beast. Toon is basically Toon Bendy but with a slight difference as this isn't the original Bendy. Ink Demon is self explanatory and is combat adjacent. Ink is Shimmer turning into ink which allows him to hide in paper as a drawing or bottles.
Beast is a more powerful monstrous form that the Ink Demon could take. Shimmer's has a requirement though: Sky. He merges with the Skyloftian in a way similar to Venom, fully consuming his body as ink and reshaping into the 'titan' Beast Shimmer. (There will be consequences of over using Beast form.)
Sky has extra assistance alongside abilities for the events of Skyward Sword take place. (Plus Shimmer definitely get some love and acceptance that the canon Ink Demon didn't get when you look at the lore alongside BATIM.)
And then the Chain arrives (First taking Sky's original spot). Conflict is practically promised since Sky is the only Link with experience involving demons of both morality. Considering LoZ has a medieval theme then you get how bad something like Shimmer is seen. (Tagging alongside Sky during his adventures helped Ink Demon be seen in a more positive light within this era.)
What better way to earn a bad reputation in Skyloft then some Links attacking Shimmer. (Sky was fast asleep so Shimmer left to get some stuff to make breakfast.) The pact notifies the Skyloftian of his partner (son) being in danger so he's quick to stop the group.
It definitely doesn't paint the Chain in a positive light especially with the very hero they were sent to recruit. They'll have to get help from those closest to Sky like Sun if they hope to have this duo trust them. You can only imagine the appearance of Beast Shimmer making things even more difficult. It's gonna be a very bumpy ride.
That's all I have for now! Until next time folks, I'll see you back in Hyrule. I'll be putting Beast Bendy behind the read more tag since this form is technically a spoiler fot BATDR.

It’s been brought up to me that a lot of my content is Isekai based. However I didn’t want this to be a Ieskai HC post. Instead let me tell you all about a stupid thing I came up with as a kid that I’ve been meaning to make into a fic for so long.:
What if the characters you play actually can feel your presence and/or can hear your commentary when playing?
Fair warning I never play Hyrule Warriors and Twilight Princess so let me know if I got things wrong.
Head canons under cut!
General head canons (These are all platonic headcanons btw.):
- Let’s say that the simple reason that you are here was to help the chain. Think of it like you’re the groups companion on this journey. Who better then someone that knows about each hyrule?
- The people who dealt with a lot of magic recognize you at first. The others need a bit of a push to connect the dots but everyone gets there.
- The connection wasn’t as strong at times during their original adventures, so its not like they could always hear you or sense you.
Time:
- You saw him and it was clear he has another sibling now.
- Time knew you where telling the true, that you followed both of his adventures however he wasn’t going to be fully open to you.
- Guess who isn’t scared of Time? You.
- Literally at one point you’ve pointed at Time and with a straight face says “thats a child”.
- This is also how the chain found out that Time actually fought the moon technically.
- “You fought Majora on the moon while it was falling. That’s not the same thing.”
- You meet Malon and it was an awkward first meeting since how do you explain this in the first place.
- Yet the two of you got along amazingly.
- When you and time are alone you instantly ask Time if he knew how she got the cow in his house. He kinda just… stares at you? Like you just met his wife and thats what your asking about?!
- The answer was that he wasn’t sure how she did that but the cow isn’t in his old house anymore. Since different timelines and all.
- It’s honestly weird for him to have someone remember both of his adventures in confidence.
- All be a little awkward hearing someone go, “oh yeah! Time had to do something similar.”
- Early on Time did go over boundaries since he really doesn’t like to talk about his adventures to much.
- So instead you both agree to be as cryptic as possible or at least there is an attempt on your part. Since your the only other person that can confirm or deny his claims.
- And no. You also don’t know his true age. But your guess is the closest.
Twilight:
- Since he is one of the Link’s that is drenched in magic, he recognizes your aura instantly.
- Chaotic sibling energy.
- If he is giving Wild or any of the other Link’s a hard time you are by his side calling Twilight out. Unless if the person in question did something truly idiotic then you let him go off.
- Speaking of, you call this man out as much as you possibly can. Like hell if you’re going to let the others think he isn’t a gremlin.
- He did try to stop you by covering your mouth but you licked his hand. So…. guess what he isn’t trying again unless it’s necessary.
- Somethings are kept a secret though. Since he did live through it and even if it was stupid he still could of gotten really hurt.
- You both play good cop, bad cop to the younger Links all the time.
- Twi is surprisingly very open with you about his adventure, to finally talk to someone about it with out having it sound crazy is nice.
- He also has some questions about you and your life. Since before this adventure started you just disappeared.
- The two of you honestly get along like two best friends who haven’t seen each other in years but still can banter like its the good old days.
- Knowing only small amounts about what they all been through it’s nice to know that you’re looking after the others as well.
- That feeling makes him really push himself to protect the family he has here and luckily you are here can smack him upside the head before lecturing him.
Warriors:
- heeeeey… you know what happen the last time he met someone that was suppose to be watching over the hero’s spirit?
- Yeah, so….War’s isn’t so keen on trusting you like some of these Heroes.
- You seem nice and not obsessively crazy. If anything what makes him decide to give you a chance. It’s seeing you get along with the other Heroes post battle or around the campfire when you think no one is watching.
- The moment that he recognizes you. You were cursing out some monsters and calling Dink every name under the sun. Which he actually remembers hearing your panicked voice briefly when fighting Cia.
- Anyway, you guys are a sass duo and even a trio when you get Leg involved.
- You steal his scarf sometimes with Time and Wind’s help
- He finds you and Wind wrapped inside of it leaning on time and his heart just- clenches, he has more siblings now!
- Then Warriors realizes he has another sibling… another sibling that will prank him…
- You two can be found discussing tactical strategies. Mostly him teaching you though since depending on the person not many people will know how to lead an army. Yet he is a good teacher and you catch on pretty quickly.
- Same with Twi, Warrior’s needs someone to pull him back sometimes it seems. Who better then to remind him then the person that already saw his lowest moment when his ego got the better of him?
- Seriously speaking. He wouldn’t come to you to talk. If anything he will try to avoid you if he wasn’t his best. In his head he has a reputation to uphold. Which will lead to a heart to heart. No sass. No banter. Just you and him sitting down to remind him that he is human.
- He needs a hug. Please give him a hug.
Sky:
- Sky actually didn’t recognize you at first!
- Yes he felt your presence and hear your voice in his adventure, but that was a while ago at this point. Also he isn’t as connected to magic as the others are.
- He does slowly befriend you despite everything.
- It wasn’t until you referred to a certain demon lord as a ‘B*tch A** Clown’ and a flood gate of memories open up for him. Memories of you cursing out Ghirahim, calling the imprisoned an ‘avocado with feet’ and so on.
- Nothing really changes between you two honestly, he just accepts it.
- If anything he becomes more open to you about everything, setting clear boundaries on what he doesn’t want to bring up. He will tell everyone about the curse eventually, but just hasn’t found a good opportunity too. Things like that.
- You do have to argue with Sky that the curse wasn’t his fault since you were also there when it was put on him, also the fact that he didn’t asked to be cursed in the first place.
- Most of the time you two are together its to get away from the chaos that the group of nine heroes could bring.
- Walking or sitting in silence is how you two end up most of the time together. It may not look like you two are bonding. There are some days while Sky is wood carving you would work on your small hobby as well. Then there are days he plays the harp and your reading.
- Despite it all he really enjoys the peace you bring. There is a sense of comfort that you have.
- When you and Sun finally meet. The first thing you ask him is to be invited to the wedding and it may or may not been in front of her too…
Wild:
- The recognition was really slow for him like Sky. Since Wild just got off of his first adventure he didn’t actually notice you were gone.
- It was until he realized that he couldn’t hear your panicked voice or snarky remarks when fighting in his head. That he finally realized you where outside of his head. He was quick to connects the dots after that.
- There was a moment where he didn’t know how to react since he just figured that you were just from his imagination.
- He now has another adventuring buddy with Hyurle! Though luckily you do keep the both of them from harm. Mostly because if something happens to them you will get in trouble with like Twi and Leg and thats never fun.
- Though you have your moments. Shield surfing and paragliding are on top of that list and Wild is all up for teaching you the ropes.
- The topic of the history of hyrule gets brought up a lot with the two of you. Since his era has a lot of connections to the past era’s. He is all up for learning about what came from where. Soon theories start to fly about.
- When You, Him and Flora are finally all together. There is nothing stopping you all from bouncing off theories. With your outside knowledge mixing with what they know. Things start to fall into place.
- The answer to why the timeline is like this doesn’t get answer. But hey! At least you all are having fun!
- If you can’t cook he will teach you that too! If you can! Well buckle up your going to share your knowledge with him whether you want to or not.
- Once you know how or get used to cooking while camping, you help him out a lot and its these moments where you both talk the most.
- It’s comforting to him to know he wasn’t alone this whole time.
Legend:
- As soon as you two locked eyes he felt instant dread. Yes he knew. No he isn’t going to opening up to you.
- Playful Insults to bond? Yeah that’s literally how he talks to everyone so no special treatment.
- He keeps you at a distance but its not actually working.
- You talk about his adventures so casually like it happened a few days ago. You avoid Link’s Awakening though. If you got hurt with the plot twist then you could only imagine the pain Leg went through.
- “I’m still trying to process the fact you married a tree.” “Hey remember that one time with Yuga, you slammed face first into a wall so hard you knocked yourself out?” “God do you not wear pants because of the fish thing?”
- This relationship is literally: Only I can bully this one.
- He fears the moment you meet Ravio and Fable knowing full well you all will bond over teasing him.
- Overall though he knows you got his back no matter what, to the point he finds himself confining in you slowly.
- Guess who is also teaming up with Hyrule to get Legend to sleep. It you.
- Once you probably have forced him to sleep by getting wolfie to lay on him. It was the wolf or yourself. In the end it was both of you and he was trapped.
- A sign that he was becoming soft towards you was when he started sharing his items with you. He trusts that you know how to use them and if you don’t he is actually willing to show you.
- He regrets giving the bee badge to you.
Hyrule:
- Another person that is drenched in magic. It only took one look at you for him to realize who you were.
- The two of you were awkward as anything at first. Since to you he never really spoken in his adventure so you didn’t know how to picture his personality.
- There’s a lot of mystery in your mind about him since again there isn’t much to go off of with what your given in game. It’s weird for him to hear about how you interpret his personality from that perspective.
- Hyrule didn’t honestly expect you to try and befriend him tbh. It mostly him over thinking it.
- You do follow him sometimes when he wants to wander around and explore. Mostly because you claim he finds the coolest things when he does.
- But its just a excuse to actually get to know him.
- The two of you trade stories and questions about each of your lives. There might be things you know that he might not know of about his adventure and his hyrule.
- Of course never going into to much details since there are things you couldn’t tell him.
- Hyrule honestly was dreading the day you all would land in his Era. He loves his home but is also very aware of it not being the most…welcoming place.
- So it’s more then surprising to him that there is even more then the glint of familiarity and excitement on your face. Knowing full well what dangers where a head of you, you still were open to exploring his world to the fullest.
- It’s honestly refreshing to see someone love his era as much as he does.
- Another boy that needs hugs, please give him a hug.
- You both cheer each other on though.
- This relationship is just aggressive support between you two and the others.
Four: (I’m actively mixing the Four Sword game and manga just to be clear.)
- Not sure if he would know exactly who you where since during the second adventure your voice and presence bounce between the four of them.
- Yet I also feel like he took after you because he was a child in his first adventure, which worries you a lot. Since you did have choice words for Vaati.
- The first to realize was Vio then it went Blue, Red and Green. Despite being in the same head it was just a theory they had over all. They all had their own ways of confirming it.
- Vio noticed the small things you do around Four. Like not stepping on their shadow, and covering Four when things got chaotic in their head. Small references here and there. When the two of you are alone he almost quizzes you about things. Just to see how much you know and to see if your telling the true or not.
- Blue recognize your mannerisms being something he picked up on during the first and second adventure. Only vaguely since again he was a child / there was only a small part only with him. Your fighting banter when your in battle made you see where Blue got his colorful language from…
- Your comfort was what clued Red in. He remembers your presence more clearly then the others from the first and second adventure. It was a comforting (yet chaotic) presence in their adventures that he latched on to. More so from his first adventure since as a kid he made an imaginary friend to process the fact he could sense and hear your presence. When you came back in the second time around it felt so natural for Red to have you there and really helped make him go forward through his small journey.
- For Green? It was a lot of things but when he see’s you treating each color differently when they are in charged. It’s a refreshing sight to be honest. He just enjoys hearing and seeing that his brothers had someone to confide in. Even when they switch who is in control you some how could tell and spoke to them accordingly.
- They were all some what surprise that none of the others picked up on your treatment of him swapping so much. Yet their also glad because their not ready to reveal themselves quiet yet.
- As Four or as you nicknamed him ‘Rainbow’ the two of you tend to sick together when the world’s shift around. Since his body needs more time to recover.
- You two are another pair that cheers each other on when the moral is low.
- He introduces you to the Minish! Getting you a jabber nut so you can speak to them too. You can’t shrink down to properly talk to them so this was the next best thing.
- The four of them makes you a dagger to bring home to remember him by, there’s a kin stone imbedded where the blade meets the hilt.
Wind: (hello self projection my dear friend)
- Wind didn’t recognize you ether at first, yet he didn’t even blink when you join everyone. He was fully on board with getting a new member and is easiest the most opened.
- It was when you two are alone together that something clicked in his head. You see during the Wind Waker he was alone most of the time when he was on land. So he had to face a lot by himself.
- Having you was reassuring to him when facing some of the monsters alone, especially with the puppet ganon fight. The two of you both agree that it was creepy.
- CHAOTIC SIBLINGS PART 2… well kinda
- Wind is a lot more mature then you realized but you two still have those moments.
- You, Aryll and Grandma get along too! So he and his family basically sees you and the chain as family.
- Pranking buddies! You’re targets would never know. Mostly because your covering up for him. You two team up with Four and Wild so the pranks can get chaotic at times.
- No matter what age you are compare to him and if your ok with it he does like platonic physical affection. Your going to be trading off with Warriors a lot of the time for cuddles or it’s the three of you together.
- You teaching him our worlds sea shanties and him teaching you his? Heck yeah! Even making up songs with the others is something on the table and in the works which is nice.
- It’s another thing to bring back home thats personalized!
Honestly since I’ve written all of this down I want to write the fic more. Though I’ll probably not only because idk if people would even read it lol. So it will just be a bunch of head canons. Anyway rambling is done.

Remember when @forthesakeofvanity asked all the OTP questions for the HSH Downfall Duo and I totally forgot which ask game I was playing and thought it was writing prompts?? Yeah I’m an idiot.
Who falls asleep first?
Hyrule, this boy is exhausted 24/7. If he sits still for too long, he will nod off just as quick as Sky does.
Who wakes up first?
Also Hyrule, gotta get to the hospital early every damn day.
Who is more relaxed/carefree?
Ooo hard question. Legend has less going on in a given day so his baseline stress levels are pretty low, but put him in a stressful situation and he is pretty quick to pop off whereas Hyrule is very patient and level-headed.
How do their personalities compliment one another’s?
Hyrule is very even-tempered to counteract Legend’s quick-tempered nature. Legend is very organized and thoughtful whereas Hyrule tends to fly by the seat of his pants in all but professional matters. Hyrule has his professional life and goals on lock but he has shoddy life skills (cooking, paying his bills on time) whereas Legend is good at personal management but he couldn’t hold a 9-to-5 if his life depended on it.
Who is always cold?
Hyrule 100%. He wears waffle shirts under his scrubs and zipped jackets over that and STILL shivers while writing records. Legend THROWS heat at night like a propane heater.
Who is always trying to bring home stray animals and who has to say no?
Legend will on occasion bring home a stray named Ravio and Hyrule loses his mind every time.
Who worries more?
Hyrule’s job involves forseeing each and every worst-case scenario that can happen with a given injury/illness, trying to prevent them actively, and writing hours worth of records to avoid getting a malpractice suit. He’s sort of programmed to be more nervous.
What are some non-sexual activities they do together?
They do enjoy going out clubbing/bar hopping with the guys when they can. A favorite “spending the day together” activity is typically walking around a quaint little area of the city with coffees in hand, just enjoying each others’ company.
Who would be able to talk their way out of a speeding ticket?
One Dr. Hyrule McBabyface. Legend’s sunshiney personality would probably earn him a second ticket.
Who’s the better cook?
Absolutely Legend. Hyrule can and has burned spaghetti before.
What are some things they don’t agree on?
Ravio.
Who is more physically affectionate?
Hyrule, as we established his love language earlier.
Who is more verbally affectionate?
Also Hyrule. He was definitely the first to say “I love you” and continued to say it openly and multiple times before Legend could say it back. In fact, part of the reason why Leg was eventually comfortable enough to say it was because of Hyrule’s attitude of “I love you, you don’t have to say it back or reciprocate and I’ll stop if you tell me to, but it’s just a fact.” That sort of no-pressure love was very important to Legend, whether or not he’d admit it aloud. But I digress.
How does each member feel about PDA?
Neither are particularly fond of it, privacy is important to them.
Who is the safer driver?
Even-tempered Hyrule is the safer driver, Legend goes from zero to Road Rage pretty damn quick.
Who steals/borrows the other’s clothing?
Hyrule will on occasion borrow one of Legend’s sweaters when he’s frozen. The real clothing thief, though, is Ravio.
Who initiates cuddles?
Hyrule, although Legend is the one to pull Hyrule into bed and cuddle him when he’s particularly exhausted and/or overworking himself.
Are they an introverted or extroverted couple?
They end up being introverted as a function of having little time to spend together with Hyrule’s schedule.
Who is the big/little spoon?
Oh Legend is so the big spoon.
Who is more impulsive, who is the voice of reason?
Hyrule tends to be the one to talk about big trips or expensive purchases all up until Legend reminds him that money exists.
Who’s more likely to laugh at their own jokes?
Legend is, but it’s more of a quiet preening than outward laughing.
Who takes longer showers?
Legend, but only because Hyrule has perfected the 3-minute Power Shower while Legend needs to use his color-safe shampoo.
Who is “more loved” by the in-laws?
I have decided that Time is the honorary in-law, therefore Hyrule is more loved — but only because Time worries about him so much.
Who is more likely to get jealous?
Hyrule 110%. Legend is used to splitting Hyrule’s time with Hyrule’s other love: his work. But when Hyrule is home, he gets all of Legend’s attention. Unless, of course, Ravio is around…
What’s the most surprising thing they learned about one another once they started dating?
Legend was surprised at how someone so good of taking care of others could be so abysmally bad at taking care of himself. Hyrule’s pantry was stocked with expired soup cans for goddess’s sake. Who knew soup could even expire?
Hyrule was surprised at how much Legend’s appearance is important to him. He’s not as vocal about his narcissism as Wars is, but Legend is pretty meticulous about his hair color, his nail polish, his jewelry…
Who stays up late/drags the other to bed?
Hyrule has a bad habit of staying up late to study, and Legend usually has to drag him to bed.
Who’s messier?
Hyrule is! Legend has a lot of Stuff, but be is organized about it.
Who accidentally spends $300 at Target?
Hyrule really has little to no concept of how much things cost.
Who would want kids first?
Ew, no.
Who gives piggy back rides to the other?
Legend definitely gives piggy-back rides when they have the house to themselves and are feeling silly, or if Hyrule needs cheering up. He can and will carry that boy down the stairs to raid the kitchen for sweets.
Who fell in love first?
Legend fell in love with Hyrule right away. It was hard not to, since Hyrule is such a naturally sweet and giving person, and he was there for Legend during one of the hardest times in his life to provide unconditional support even though they hardly knew one another. Then when Legend realized how bad Hyrule was at taking care of himself — and yet he still wanted to share what little he had with Legend — it was pretty much like “Welp, I guess he is mine now.”

Proliferation
Part 1 and Part 2
The (hopefully) thrilling conclusion to the idea that took almost a year to finish! If this was on AO3 and I could see a date to when it was last edited, I would be ashamed.
An edited version will also be going up on AO3, if you are interested in seeing that. I do not know when it will be coming out, but hopefully before next year. I will be posting a link when it is up if anyone is interested.
TW: suicidal thoughts and trauma are expressed. If you wish to skip, it is from “Because I’m tired, Twilight” to “So how can I help you believe it?”
A week had passed since Wild’s attack, a week of tense silence and many excuses. Wild had woken up the house a few more times since then, but had still refused to elaborate on the reasons why. The only person he accepted to know was Zelda, and she was even tougher to crack.
“I’m really sorry, Mr. Time, but if you want to know, you need to ask Link yourself. It’s not my place to share someone else’s trauma.” Zelda said after Time tried to grill her for information. She slumped down, “I’ve tried my best to get him to open up, but he’s adamant on not doing that.”
Time sighed, “I understand, Princess. Just try your best to help him, okay?” She nodded and proceeded to leave the room, stopping at the entryway to look back at him.
“If you can find any way to help him, please do. And please, call me Zelda.”
Time smiled, “Of course, Zelda.” She smiled back and finally left the room, her short golden hair bouncing with her. He turned toward the other person in the room, the furry gray pelt seeming somehow deflated. Time could see the way Twilight’s eyes took on a more defeated tone than before they spoke to Zelda.
“Why?” Twilight whispered, “Why does he not want us to help him?”
Time closed his eye with a sigh, “I don’t know, cub. Perhaps he’s spoken to Malon about it?”
“But she would’ve told us by now if he did,” Twilight guessed. Time nodded silently, sitting down heavily in a chair. The two mingled in silence, an oppressive feeling in the air. It was broken when Twilight asked,
“How much longer until he breaks, Time?”
Time stared out the window, a helpless feeling he hadn’t felt in a long time creeping into his heart. “I don’t know.”
Their answer came later that night. It was decided that they were going to leave the next morning to meet with Time’s Zelda, and possibly leave Wild’s Zelda there to learn about the history of Hyrule that had been lost to the ages.
The group had decided to head outside after dinner to enjoy the stars. They had set up a campfire and had taken turns sharing stories, regaling the others with quests of honor and mistakes. After Wind had shared about the first time he climbed out of a boat after sailing for a long time, which had led to many laughs, everyone turned to the duo glued together.
“You’ve must have done something dumb at one point, Wild.” Legend goaded the scarred hero, “Come on, tell us!”
Zelda giggled quietly, “I remember at one point, he tried to fly across Hyrule with some minecarts. He got to the Thundra Plateau and was zapped out of the sky!”
Wild smiled faintly, “And I seem to remember the time you thought you picked up a sword and it was really the bones of a dead bokoblin. You screamed so loud you woke up half of the forest.”
“Ugh.” Four wrinkled his nose, “I’m with you there, Princess.”
Zelda shuddered, “Never again. And like I’ve said, please, call me Zelda.”
“It’s kind of confusing to call you that, though, isn’t it? We all have our own Zeldas, so how do we know which one we’re talking about?”
Zelda hummed, “I see your point. A nickname, perhaps? You can give one to every Zelda you end up meeting.”
“That sounds like a good plan. What would you like to be called, Zelda?” Malon said warmly from beside Time.
Zelda thought for a moment, “Scientist, perhaps?”
Warriors shook his head, “Too stiff.”
“How about Bones? From how much you screamed at some?” Legend snickered.
Twilight saw the subtle flinch Wild made at the suggestion. He exchanged a look with Time, the other looking resigned. Zelda took his hand and said softly, “Maybe not that one.”
The naming went on for a few more minutes, the nicknames getting closer and closer but still not perfect. Zelda was clutching Wild’s hand tightly, looking at his blank expression every so often. Finally, they got to the point where everyone was quiet, listening to the crackle of the fire and thinking. It ended when a voice spoke up.
“Flora,” Wild said shortly, “Her name is Flora.” Then he left the group.
Twilight followed.
“Wild.”
“I’m fine, Twilight.”
“Are you sure?” Twilight raised an eyebrow at Wild’s back, “You don’t seem fine to me.”
“I’m fine, Twilight, now will you please leave me alone?”
“No, cub, because you’re very obviously not ‘fine’.”
Wild finally stopped walking to throw his hands up into the air, “Goddesses, Twilight, I’m fine! I just wanted to leave!”
“Yes, you’re fine and you didn’t just leave the group for no reason.” Twilight sighed, “Wild, I know. Whenever you say you’re fine, you’re never fine.”
“Oh? And how are you so sure?”
“Would you like a list?”
Wild breathed in slowly in annoyance. His voice was measured and clipped as he said, “I am okay, Twilight. You can go back to the group now.”
“Uh, no, I’m not.” Twilight crossed his arms as his voice became more serious, “Cub, I’ve seen you this entire week. You’re tense, constantly searching the surroundings for an exit. You’ve had nightmares multiple times this week, and yet, the only person allowed to help you is Flora.” With each word, Twilight saw Wild’s shoulders lower further and further, until he looked like a hedgehog. He continued lowly, “You don’t laugh anymore. You don’t smile. You react to a joke, sure, but it’s never genuine. Once the attention is off of you, you shut down.”
“Th-that’s…”
“I’m not the only one that’s noticed, Wild. Everyone has.” Wild whipped his head up in surprise, “They just know there’s no point in trying.”
Silence. Wild’s hands started to wring together, his head lowered to the ground. Twilight looked at him, his eyes boring into the smaller man’s head.
“When will you tell me what happened, Wild?”
“I can’t,” came a wretched whisper.
“Why?” Twilight’s question was calm.
“Because it’s easier for me to keep my head down and ignore it.”
“Bullshit!” Twilight’s anger was starting to manifest outside of his mind. “You ignore it because it’s easier? When have we ever done that?!”
“Because I’m tired, Twilight!” Wild finally swung his eyes toward Twilight’s, who could see the pain and misery etched into them. “I’m sick and tired of being those deities plaything! For over a hundred years, I have been forced to do what they told me to, and at this point, I don’t care anymore. If this kills me, then so be it. I welcome it, even!”
“Don’t you dare say that!”
“And why can’t I? Because you care about me?” Wild’s voice started to steadily rise. “Do you know what it feels like to have your entire beliefs questioned? To know that because you just weren’t good enough, everything fell apart? I had to retrain myself to be worthy of the Master Sword, Twi, you know this! I was the one responsible for what happened when the Calamity came. I was the reason why it turned out the way it did. I WAS THE REASON WHY THEY’RE DEAD!”
So, Twilight thought, that’s what this is about. He watched numbly as Wild fell to his knees, sobbing uncontrollably. With a faint sigh, he stood and crouched down next to his friend, rubbing his back gently.
“...Do you wanna know why me and Zelda are always so close together?” Wild’s question came out quiet and defeated.
Twilight’s response was just as quiet. “Sure.”
The smaller man took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. “D-down there, there were some monsters that liked to play with our minds. They could manipulate the way we perceived the world, make us see things that weren’t real.” His voice dropped to a whisper, “At one point, I thought Zelda had been killed.”
“And since they can’t replicate the Goddess’s light, you took to being close to one another to make sure it was real,” Twilight guessed with a sinking heart.
Wild nodded his head dumbly, staring at the fire. Twilight sighed again, “It’s okay to ask for help, you know. I’m always here, so is Time. You don’t have to keep it bottled up inside.”
“I don’t want to be a burden.”
“You’re not a burden.”
“There’s a difference between knowing and believing, Twilight!” Wild snapped.
“So how can I help you believe it?” Twilight asked gently, “‘Cause you aren’t, Wild, and you never were. I guarantee you, if I go around to everyone in this group and ask if you are a burden, they would say no. You cook for us, you hunt for us, you make everyone worry whenever you do some death-defying stunt and come out alive at the end!” He shook his head, “Asking for help doesn’t make you a burden, Wild. It means you’re willing to start respecting yourself and allowing yourself to heal.”
Wild sniffed, “You really think so?”
“I know so.” Twilight took a moment to compose himself, “You know my journey. You know what happened during it. You know the trauma and fear it gave me; for years, I carried that around with me, unwilling to bare myself to the world and accept the love and kindness the people around me were desperately trying to give. It took Zelda finally knocking some sense into me to realize that keeping it to myself wasn’t good, it was harmful.”
“Did she really?” Wild turned his big blue eyes toward Twilight for a moment, a sparkle so curious it reminded Twilight of Colin.
He smiled ruefully, “Took a good smack at me.” He wagged a finger at Wild, causing the younger man to giggle, “Never offend a Zelda, they have a mean right hook. You should know that better than anyone.”
Wild nodded, the last of his tears drying up, “I wouldn’t dare.”
“Good, you’re smarter than me. Anyway,” Twilight became serious again, “you can’t keep bottling yourself up, pup. Do you have to share everything that happened right away? No, that would be cruel. But if something is wrong, like what happened last week, then you gotta say something. Even if it’s as simple as ‘I’m feeling sad today, can I have a hug?’ No one will blame you. Got it?”
Wild nodded again, “Got it. Can I have a hug right now?”
Twilight’s face softened, “Of course you can, pup. Come on, bring it in.” He opened his arms wide, giving the younger man a big bear (wolf) hug. Wild relaxed into the hold, breathing in the comforting scent of his pseudo-older brother.
The two broke apart a few moments later, after Wild finally felt better for the first time in months. He took a deep breath, “Can I tell you a bit about what happened down there?”
Twilight very carefully didn’t react, “Whatever you want, Wild. And while we’re on that, mind telling me about the arm?” He gestured towards Wild’s limb, “It’s a bit more… glowy than before.”
Wild laughed lightly, “Sure. It all started when…”

Legendary Cousins
So... I promised @peachy-scars that I would write them this a while back when they posted this, and after consulting y’all (I think it was @attllhak and several anons who helped the most) I finally had enough to just go ham and write this beautiful piece of garbage.
Hope you like it, Peaches!
They had landed in a new Hyrule, and Legend’s instant reaction was to blink and stare about with a conflicted expression on his face while the others had stared in confusion at their surroundings.
“Why’s this look so weird?” Wind demanded eloquently as he pulled himself out from beneath a giggling Hyrule, who always laughed nervously when they landed in a new Hyrule and seemed particularly giddy today.
“Wind, manners.” Time chided softly, pulling himself back up and working with Wild to pull his protégé back up, Twilight looking around dizzily as he leaned on his mentor for balance. “You don’t know whose home this might be.”
“I do.” Legend hissed softly, hooded eyes staring towards a nearby path while a slight smile touched his lips. “New Hero everyone.”
Glances were exchanged before shooting to the vet in confusion. “How...”
“You knew there were more heroes?” Warriors sputtered, staring at the vet in surprise while the hero in question pulled himself to his feet and shook out his limbs, knuckles crackling painfully and making the others wince.
“Time travel mixed with world hopping and the occasional visit to other countries.” Legend answered in a low voice, stretching towards the sky and standing on the tips of his toes (eyes turned away as the vet’s already short tunic rode higher). “I’ve met plenty of other heroes. Five- maybe six? Not sure.” He shrugged, arms falling back to his sides as he moved further into the forest. “Come along, if we want to check up on things we’d best get headed to the castle. Monsters out here are brutal, even if they are bloody crazy.”
Glances were exchanged again, Wind’s wide eyes growing wider as he mouthed the words ‘six other heroes’ to his brothers.
“Who met Legend before all this went down?” The captain hissed, pulling Four up onto his back. “Because it sure as heck wasn’t me.”
No one answered, and they didn’t have much of a chance to as the Vet’s voice broke through the forest, a harsh hiss for them to hurry. “You stay there all day the ‘blins’ll eat you!”
Eight heroes pulled themselves along, following after as Legend trailed silently through the forest.
Each stumble or loud noise earned a glare from the vet, and if it didn’t come from them, it made him freeze, steps stopping immediately as his ears would prick towards the sound. More than once, Twilight or Sky had to muffle a laugh in their respective wraps as the image of a bunny starting to alert entered their minds.
Maybe it’s the laughter. Maybe it’s just their dang Hero of Courage luck, or maybe it’s just because Hylia thinks it funny, but even with all Legend’s glaring and stopping and sneaking, they are attacked just as they reach the edge of the forest.
The monsters are... horrifying. Nothing most of them have ever even seen, and the only thing they can do as they fight is to take the vet’s advice. “Aim for the eyes! And if you can’t reach them, the ankles!” The vet shouts as he kicks into a spin attack. The other heroes follow suit, ripping into the beasts as Wild pulls back from the group, setting off volleys of arrows as best he can do by himself, and successfully blinding a few of the monsters.
They’re thick into the song of battle when an unknown voice rings out. “Good golly! Hang on there, sirs!”
It’s hard to see past the swarms of monsters (seriously, they’ve never been this thick!) but blonde hair and a swinging sword assure them that whomever it is, is likely the hero Legend had told them about. Enemies fall as bombs explode and various weapons pierce through hearts and heads.
Once the dust has cleared, they take careful stock of their injuries and weapons (Wild’s shattered another sword and Four is sighing wearily) before turning their attention to their unexpected help.
Legend and the other hero stand over a dead bokoblin, shaking hands in a friendly manner while the one chatters to the other, the vet smiling thinly but genuinely as he listens.
 “Vet, who’s this?”
“Ah! You have friends!” A bright smile is turned their way as the swordsman releases Legend’s hand. “Greetings! I’m Link.”
“The Hero of Koridai.” Legend adds on, rolling his eyes.
“Aw, come on, Other-Link!” The newcomer grins, jabbing Legend playfully in the side and effectively stealing his breath. “I’m just Link is all.”
“That’s all of their names too.” Legend wheezes, glaring up at the other.
The chain of heroes takes in the newcomer, who, much to the captain’s dismay, seems to share Legend’s opinion of pants, as well as a preference for pegasus boots. Bright brown eyes stare back at them, a dopey grin on the hero’s face, but beneath the welcoming grin there's a glint of something sharp and dangerous that has Warriors shuffling back warily.
“What adventure is this? Finish meeting up with your lovely cousins?”
The vet huffs a breath, clearing his throat as he straightens up again. “Thereabouts, this’ll be adventure seven.”
“Ooh, seven. Ouch.” Bright brown turn towards the vet with a sympathetic wince. “Sorry about that.”
“You had your own quests.” Legend dismisses, as if his words don’t confuse the others. “How’s Zelly by the way? We haven’t heard from her.”
Link, for lack of a better current name, smiles cheerily. “Half a minute yet there.” Turning to the others he offers yet another impossibly wide smile, it’s very nearly uncomfortable to look at, and Legend is the only one who seems unaffected by doing so (he has seen far, far worse from this world). “We should skedaddle over to the castle.” A halting motion is made towards the castle just in front of them as the newest hero laughs nervously. “As long as you’re there, you won’t be attacked.”
And for lack of anything else to do, they agree, following after as Legend and the new Link chat in the front, Legend with an amount of patience that has never in their memory presented itself and the new Link with an almost irritating amount of pep and cheer. “Zelly’s doing great, and we’re hoping to visit all of you soon too! Or, we were, but the monsters started getting real bad an’ Zel figured we’d better stay behind to make sure they didn’t cause too much trouble.”
“How bad?” The vet’s brows quirk with concern and Warriors nearly stumbles at the gentle expression on Legend’s face.
“Just a bit stronger.” The new Link shrugs, but smiles brightly up at Legend. “It’s not as bad as last time though, so don’t worry your pink head about it.”
And Legend... Legend actually laughs, reaching up to tug the cap of the other Link as they cross into the shadow of Hyrule Castle’s walls.
“What the-” Warriors is cut off with a blaring ‘Beep!’ from Wind, who looks up at him cheekily when the captain looks down at him.
 “Censoring.” Wind chirrups.
”Soooo...” Twilight drawls, a smile pulling at his features as he looks between the duo, the heroes all relaxing as they enter the castle gates. “How do you two know each other?”
“We’re cousins!” Link chirrups happily, shooting another smile over his shoulder that’s just a bit too wide and a bit too sharp.”
“Third Cousins or...” Legend waves his hand vaguely. “Somethin’. Their father is my second cousin or some sort of thing, it’s unclear honestly, all we know is that Zelda is my cousin somewhere down the line and with those two dating-” The other Link flushes at the statement, face as dopey as Sky’s gets. “He’s bound to be thrown in there somewhere too.”
“Wait!” Four looks from one of the cousins to the other (there is a bit of resemblance, uncannily enough, even though Link smiles far more than Legend). “Whose time is this?”
The two share a look, nodding firmly before turning to the others and speaking together. “Both.”
“Two heroes? In one time?” Time cocks a brow.
Legend throws his hands up. “You can talk to Hylia about that!”
“Oh!” Link’s grin widens further as he bounces in place. “And how is Aunt Hylia? Golly, I haven’t seen her in ages!”
 “Aunt Hylia...” Sky blinks slowly.
The vet huffs. “Fine. She’s letting Fable back into the fighting ring this weekend, figured since the Master didn’t mess things up that it’d be okay to let Hylians head back out there. Hide the evidence if they send me an invite, yeah?”
“Will do!” Comes the chipper reply, but the other heroes aren’t done.
“Wait, wait, wait, how many heroes are there in this time?” Warriors looks from one to the other with panic building in his gaze.
Link frowns in what seems an over-the-top expression of thought. “Do the colors count?”
 Four chokes.
Legend flushes. “They count.” His voice is strained and nearly wheezing as swirling hazel stares a hole in his head.
“And then there’s the Hytopian wannabe, who might very well actually be one.” Link continues. “And the two of us. Does Great-Grandfather Raven count?”
“Not in this time, he just traveled here briefly when Nayru became corrupted.” Legend drawls with a head tilt, as if talking about meeting your ancestors and de-corrupting a goddess was normal for this world, and with the way Link just nods along, they are all beginning to worry that that is the norm here.
“Right, so five heroes.” Link nods slowly. “And then we have great-gramps Raven, and whoever- wait.” The new Link’s eyes fly wide open as he motions to Time. “Isn’t that Great-Gramps?”
Legend and Time both splutter as the vet hurries to correct the other hero. “No! He’s...” Legend looks from the startled Time to his cousin. “That’s the Hero of Time.” He whispers gravely, and Link’s eyes blow even wider as he looks to Time, who winces. They’ve all heard of what happened to the Hero of Time in this world.
“Oh!” Link breathes, before another smile stretches over his face. “Great-Great-Gramma Lon’s husband!”
Legend just facepalms while Time stands with his mouth flapping and fingers twitching, the old man now trying to calculate exactly how many children are now officially his while Warriors proceeded to have all the color drain out of his face.
“How are there two heroes of Courage here!!!!” The Captain hisses, and Link and Legend both look at each other. “And for the love of Hylia! Stop looking at each other all the time, what, can you read minds?!?!”
And both stare at the captain with the deadest of dead expressions, which actually makes Link all the more unnerving and Legend all the more intimidating. “Yes.”
It takes a while, but once they meet Zelda, she takes the time to explain.
“Our fathers are cousins.” She says, smiling at the heroes as they all sit and have lunch in the courtyard, motioning to Legend as she speaks. The vet is currently pulling his hat back off of his face after having it tugged down in vengeance for earlier. “Once both had married into the royal family, there was contention in the kingdom so Auntie Hylia sent Mapa and Papa out here to take care of this part of the kingdom while she handled things in central Hyrule.
“Most folks call Papa a king because they forget that it’s one country, but what with the high borders and all, it may as well be its own country.” She shrugs as she pops another piece of food in her mouth. “And there aren’t two Courage Wielders, technically. I mean, there are, but Link isn’t one of them.” She smiles in a sly sort of way, too wide, too knowing, too creepy for many of the heroes to be comfortable. “He just happens to care a lot and does what he can.”
“Oh yeah,” Hyrule nods knowingly, chewing slowly on his own meal. “My brother is like that too.”
The others, even Legend and Link, turn to Hyrule in shock. “Your what???”

Note
I just finished reading The Ties that Bind, and I love it! I have a small suggestion, one that you could completely ignore if you would like. Will Fable, Legend’s Zelda, meet Sky? Or Sky and the rest of the chain? I feel like that would be fun. But this is just an idea that I had, I’m not pressuring you do to anything.
I'm sorry it took so long to get to your ask, Anon! I've been thinking about this for a while, and the truth is that, while I would LOVE to have Sky meet all of his daughters at some point, I don't know if it will happen in the main plot of the story itself.
Currently in the story, they are in Legend's Hyrule, so there is a good chance of it happening, I just don't know if it will.
Considering this came along with various fic requests, I did end up writing something where they 'meet' but.. I'm terribly sorry, it's entirely crack, and I took way too many liberties with it.
I hope it will do to hold you over until Fable can make an actual appearance in the story!
“So, we finally get to meet your sister?” Hyrule asked, following as Legend led their group down the halls of Hyrule castle.
“Yes.”
“Yes!” Wind pumped his fists. “The only Zelda we haven’t met! I wonder what she’s like?”
“Kickass.” Legend smirked, stopping before one of the opulent doors and turning to face them. “I’d watch yourselves.”
There were a lot of things the Chain was expecting to see when they walked through the doors, but Warriors wasn’t expecting to see a young woman who looked quite ridiculously like Legend, if not for the haircut, spinning around to see look at them before having a wide smile break over her face.
“Z?”
“Link!” And the princess was running, running forwards with feather soft, tinkling laughter into the arms of...Wild? “Oh, Link! I haven’t seen you in ages! Why, look at you! Growing your hair out I see.” Another giggle drifted into the air as the girl brushed a hand through the Champion’s messy bangs.
Wild flushed slightly, much to the shock of all present, but especially to Legend, who stared between the two with his mouth hanging open.
“Everyone’s missed you so terribly, especially after you disappeared so suddenly! The Master was absolutely furious.” Fable added with a nervous laugh, smacking Wild’s arm lightly. “Thank goodness I can tell him all is well and you didn’t get killed or something, we thought he’d oust Robin for good when we couldn’t find you!”
Wild winced, nodding slightly. “I’m on another quest, but maybe I can send a letter? The mail system is working pretty well, for some reason.”
“Not out of Hyrule unfortunately.” Fable pouted, seemingly taking no interest in noticing the rest of them for the moment, instead continuing to stand in Wild’s personal space, neither having quite let go from their unexpected and rather startling hug. “Without you, the Master has closed all contact with Hyrule; I don’t think he wanted anything else to happen, especially since Mother would have been furious if someone else had gone missing.”
“Wait,” Warriors turned to see Wind staring at the- couple? Duo? “Zelly?”
“Tune!” Fable squeaked, pulling away from Wild and darting over to hug the second smallest hero. “My goodness you’ve grown! Are the two of you on an adventure together then? Wonderful!” Ocean blue eyes trailed up to look at the rest of their gang and Fable brightened even more. “Why, all of you are here!”
“All of us?” He couldn’t keep confusion from his tone as he spoke, quirking a brow.
“Well, nearly all,” Fable frowned, setting Wind down to gently stroke her chin. “And here I hoped to see Young Link again.”
Warriors was going to lose his mind. “Young Link?” His eyes turned to Time, who smiled with a light flush, raising one hand in a nearly shy wave.
“Hey, Zelly.”
The princess gasped, hands flying up to cover her mouth as she stared upwards to meet Time’s gaze. “Young Link? My. Goodness! Look- Oh my! You’re all grown up, aren’t you? I declare, you get even more terrifying than half of the others!”
“Legend,” Sky was grinning as bright and warm as the princess, eyes sparkling in the same manner and erasing any doubt that he was the young woman’s ancestor. “You didn’t tell us your sister was The Princess Zelda!”
Legend stared up at his ancestor in disbelief before shaking off Sky’s hands and throwing up his own. “That’s it,” The vet spun on his heel and turned towards the door. “I’m gonna go bang my head against the wall for an hour, toodles.”
“Well,” Fable turned to Sky with a bright grin. “It is wonderful to see you again, Link. Good heavens, how on earth do all of you handle being ‘Link’, it was bad enough having you all switch out, but now you’re all together at once! How do you handle it?”
“I go by Sky,” The Skyloftian replied with a fond smile. “He’s Wild, Wind, and Time. We use our hero titles.”
“Oh! That is clever! Sheik and I both have different names, so I suppose had it easy, I’m surprised no one thought of that before, what with how you all switched out so often- oh!” And the princess was spinning around to look up at Twi. “We’ve missed you too of course, but I must ask, since you’re all apparently time-traveling or some nonsense, could you give a message to your Zelda for me? I haven’t seen her in ever so long, and I do miss being able to talk over things with her.”
“I’ll pass it along.”
“You too.” She turned to Time, brows furrowing lightly. “Sheif is so terrible about writing to me, and I’ve missed being able to ask for advice with my fighting skills.”
“Understood.” Time grinned, earning a mirror expression from the princess.
How the heck was everyone taking this all in stride? Was Legend’s sister...dating Wild or some shit? How did she know Wind and Time? How did she know Sky? How did she know any of them?
“So,” Twilight cocked a hip and stared down at the princess with a warm smile. “They let you stay around, even after switching out all of us?”
“Yep! I am, apparently, quite the favorite. As is L- I mean Wild.” She sent a warm smile towards said hero, who flushed with pleasure. Ew.
Should’a known it, he's a good kid.”
“He says you mentored him, so I suppose that can be attributed, in part, to you!”
“Aw, thanks, Zelly.”
Warriors would like a drink now please.
“Wait,” Four stared at the princess, eyes slitted and brows furrowed in a way that revealed he was clearly having a headache as well. “You’re- good grief- you know all of us, don’t you?”
Warriors really needs a drink. Seriously? Four too?
“And who are you?” Fable cocked her head.
Four flushed, ducking his head. “Hero of the Four Sword.”
Like a switch had been flipped, recognition sparked in Fable’s gaze. “Oh! That- that makes sense! I had forgotten, I suppose, how you all- well-” She waved her hand vaguely, and while none of the others seemed to understand it (thank Hylia he wasn’t the only one), Four apparently did. “You don’t think it’s weird?”
“Heavens no!” Fable drew back, looking mildly offended. “Link- my Link- or rather, my brother- Good heavens, what on earth do you all call him?”
“Idiot. Pain in the ass. Veteran.” Warriors listed off, making sure his displeasure with being left out of the conversation was made very clear.
“Legend.” Hyrule answered, shooting a glare Warriors’ way.
“Legend, my, that fits,” Fable shook her head with another tinkling laugh. “Does the same thing, albeit in a different manner and without the use of the Four Sword.”
“Heard that!” Legend shouted from just outside the room. “Stop telling them things!”
“Then come in here and make me, you sissy!”
The vet stormed back in, cheeks red and brow looking considerably more bruised than it had been ten minutes previous. “Not a sissy.”
“Yet you only appear on occasion, and never fight?” The princess snarked, hands on her hips.
“Do I look like I have the time to be fighting?” Legend returned, mirroring her pose with enough attitude to match the blue flames of the princess’s gaze.
“Well, if you have time to play dress up-”
“Necessary for a mission, miss ‘I fight duels in my regalia’.”
“I win duels in my regalia, thank you very much.”
“Heck yeah you do.” And was that- pride in the vet’s voice? “You scare the shit out of all of them.”
“I always was the better of the two of us at doing that, you just spend your time talking to cuckos and wearing my clothes.” The princess smirked.
Legend didn’t even have the decency to flush, crossing his arms with a smirk of his own. “You have to admit, I look better in it than you do.”
“Yes.” Fable beamed. “Yes, you do, and I hate it.” Her smile said the opposite but the conversation seemed to be over at that, the princess turning to continue conversing with the other heroes only to spin around again and clap her hands. “Oh! You're off exploring and adventuring, so you drop a message for me! Tell Peach and Daisy that I’m awful sorry I missed tea last time, we’ve been trying for weeks to get around to it, but with L- Wild having disappeared, the Master simply won’t give me the free time and Mother’s been just as strict.”
Legend pouted. “Only if they’re the only ones home, if I have to see that insufferable plumber’s face again I think I might just punch him.”
“Please do.” Fable spat. “He used that stupid hat of his to mind control me and make me kick the crap out of my team.”
“He mind controlled my sister?” Legend hissed.
“Yes, that dumb hat of his is sentient now, and he can force us to do things.”
“I hate that thing.” Wild scowled.
“Same.” Several others echoed.
Sky looked between them all. “Are we talking about Mario? Because if so, Legend, I will totally join you in punching him in the face, that guy is a pain!”
“Oh, him!” Hyrule scowled. “I don’t like him; he grates on my nerves like nobody's business.”
“He’s worse than Tingle.” Wind added, face screwed up in distain.
“Seconded.” Twilight and Time called out together.
“Third, Fourth, Fifth and sixthed.” Four added.
“Just because your name is ‘Four’ doesn’t mean you get four votes.” Warriors groaned, staring at his companions in irritation. “And who the heck are you all talking about? How do all of you know him? Is he immortal?”
“Hylia, I hope not.” Nine voices groaned at once.
“Neighboring kingdom.” Legend replied. “The Mushroom kingdom’s own hero is an idiot plumber by the name of Mario. His twin isn’t bad, but he’s a piece of work. I’ve had to deal with outbreaks of monsters from their kingdom on multiple occasions because he can’t keep them contained. Add in there that their princess is captured every other Tuesday because the guy can’t up and beat her kidnapper for good, and the kingdoms a mess.” Legend paused, frowning. “Wait, I just agreed to go there, didn’t I?”
“Yep.” Fable chirped. “But don’t worry, Bowser is hanging out with his kids this weekend, so he shouldn’t be causing problems while you’re all here.”
Warriors groaned, this time, loud enough that all of them heard him. “Bowser? Are you on a familiar enough standing with some villain that he tells you his weekend plans?”
“Yes.” The twin siblings answered, Fable bright and cherry while Legend deadpanned.
“We even play sports with him on occasion.” Fable added.
“And who,” Warriors tacked on, absolutely done and uncaring for the fact that apparently Legend and Fable played golf or something with their neighboring kingdoms greatest threat. “The heck! Is Mario?”
Nine pairs of eyes stared back at him for a moment, blinking in confusion.
“You know,” Twilight stated slowly. “Has anyone actually ever seen Wars at an event?”
“Come to think of it,” Fable tapped her chin. “You are the only one I’ve never seen before.”
“The only one?” Can Warriors please get a drink?
“I’ve met all of the others, be it in racing, sports, fighting matches, any number of things, but I don’t think I’ve ever even seen you, much less heard of you. Who are you?”
“That,” Legend smirked. “Is the Hero of Warriors. And I don’t know if I should laugh or feel bad that he was never popular enough to get selected for the games.”
“You weren’t either.” Wind hissed.
“Mom said I was on bed rest from being struck by lightning.” Legend waved him off. “I’ve had my time in the Mushroom kingdom, and if they ever do invite me back, I’d burn that Smash invite so fast the Master would think it never arrived.”
That’s it. He’s done. “Legend, I’m stealing your thunder-”
“Please do.”
“I’m going to go bang my head against the wall until the world makes sense again, or until I black out, Bye.” And with that, Warriors left.
(This entire fic was inspired by @tortilla-of-courage, her blog had a stint of asks about the boys knowing each other from Mario Kart and whatnot and it set my brain spinning. I blame her that this was the only thing I could think of when trying to write Sky meeting Fable. Thank's Tortilla!)
