Nekomatta Danny. But not just any nekomata Danny. I am saying space cat boy. Twin-tails that seem to flicker into an aurora, into distant galaxies, ghostly flames that could be just that, or could be flickers of distant stars and suns. 

Now, the thing is? Being a ghost, very much illegal in the USA right now, doesn’t matter how many times they throw out the GIW, they can’t exactly take on the entire government any time soon. What isn’t illegal? Being an alien, meta, or any other magical creature. 

So the halfas, yes that (ugh, really Jordan) does include Vlad, all get together to hash out a plan to get out of Amity. And? They like cats, you like cats right? And they have friends- or allies- in the Zone, so maybe they can perhaps get a few… oh? What’s this? A cat-like creature with necromatic powers? Yeah they can- oh. Hm. So that’s replaced their ghost form now. 

That’s fine actually! They’re still ghosts- just erm, no longer human looking. And Vlad can continue to use his human form- yes we need to keep the bracelets on to hide the ears and tails, whatever- to continue running DalvCo. 

It’s not bad, and they’ll admit Vlad has been getting better. Sure there’s still a bunch of blackmail (Jordan, Sam, stop helping him-), but they honestly? Can’t be brought to care. They’re adjusting- grieving in some cases- and focusing on actually finishing everything before the summer ends. 

So it’s probably not a good time for heroes to start investigating Vlad…

LMAO your requests always get me -- out of all the possible milgram prompts I have to say, "soundclous rapper Mikoto" was not on my radar but it was so fun 😂 I hope you enjoy haha!

To say Mikoto was stressed would be an understatement. His interrogation was coming up in a few weeks. He still had no idea what he was doing here in the first place, or what he was supposed to do once in front of the warden. The two prisoners he asked about it had broken into tears and charged at him swinging, respectively. If that was how the little girls reacted, he was confident he’d get nothing short of a punch to the face if he asked any of the stronger adults.

So, trapped between uncertainty and danger, Mikoto did what any normal person would do in his shoes. He blew very loud raspberries, made wailing siren sounds, and sang tongue twisters into the echoing panopticon.

“What the fuck are you doing?” Fuuta banged open the cell door.

“My scales.”

“No shit. Why?”

“I’m warming up.”

“How come?”

“So my voice is ready.”

The look on his face told Mikoto he was still in danger of getting punched. “What. Are. You. Warming. Up. For.”

“Oh! My interrogation is coming up, right? Since we’ll be singing to the warden, I really want to be prepared. I always do these leading up to a performance.”

“No, you idiot, we don’t –”

“A performance~?” Mahiru peered her head into the room. She, too, let herself in. “Are you a singer, Mikoto-kun?”

He lifted his chin. The earlier stress in his chest melted away, now replaced with a wave of pride. “Well actually, yes, I happen to have made a name for myself.”

“Really?” Her squeals of excitement attracted a few onlookers to the cell. (Well, maybe they were still curious from hearing his vocal warmups.) “To think, we have a real singer here with us!”

Haruka’s eyes were wide. “Are y-you like. Um! Are you f-famous? I’m sorry I-I didn’t recognize you...”

Mikoto laughed, waving his hand to dismiss the thought. “No, no, it’s not like that.” He placed the palm on his chest, trying to appear modest. It was about time he got to finally talk about his identity. “Although, I’d like to say I’ve gathered a solid listening audience.”

“Yeah?”

“I mean, I was kind of surprised no one here recognized my voice. But then again, I create for a pretty niche and artistic corner of the art form… I guess you’re all pretty mainstream…”

Fuuta scowled even as the other prisoners gathered around the entryway to hear about their superstar cellmate. “I’ve never once heard of you, and trust me, I’m into some pretty niche circles. I think you’re just fucking with us.”

“Eh? Of course not! Tell you what, I’ll request an ipod this week, and prove it to you. I always go by a stage name, anyway.”

“What is it, then?”

Mikoto’s lips curled into a smile. “My fans call me Yamada Taro.”

“That is the lamest name I have ever –”

“So cool~!”

The panopticon was abuzz with excitement after that. The prisoners double checked, triple checked, and then checked again that Mikoto had actually asked for the device when request day came. As much as they asked him to sing for them, he refused any “spoilers” beforehand. Even after they explained that no singing would be involved at the interrogation, some of the prisoners joined him for random sessions of warmups.

When requests finally arrived, the group huddled around him with anticipation. Es, too, lingered in the corner of the common room, pretending not to be interested. The prisoners leaned over Mikoto’s shoulder, shushing each other as he started looking through it.

“Just search up a song!”

“I’m trying… my stuff isn’t really on the major streaming apps…”

“Oh?” A few faces fell.

“Oi, don’t judge soundcloud! Lot’s of famous rappers get their start there.”

“Excuse me?” Fuuta pinched the bridge of his nose. “This whole week, you didn’t think to mention you’re a fucking soundcloud rapper?”

Mikoto chuckled. “Cool, huh? I thought it’d make a good surprise. I didn’t want you guys fawning over me all week long…”

And, somehow, despite it all, Mikoto still ended up with a punch to the face.

Silly Game Time: Who are the protagonists of two stories you really enjoy? (could be from any media: movies, shows, novels, games, comics, etc.) (yes, OCs count) AND which of them is better with animals?

You know what? I’m feeling particularly dragony today, so I’m going with Lady Trent from A Natural History of Dragons, and Princess Cimorene from the Enchanted Forest Chronicles. And though I love Cimorene a lot, and do think she’d be good with animals, Lady Trent wins, as she is a naturalist and has to actively care for and study the dragons she has, as well as the fact that she loved animals when she was younger too, and with all the time she puts into her work I feel like she would have to be good with animals. It’s shown in the books too that she’s overall pretty good with animals, especially the dragons she studies.

Ok usually I go with the idea of the bishops being birthed by some ethereal force of the universe; they came into existence because the raw power of the world needed a master to yield to when the mortals of this world started to develop sentience

But, lately: I've been thinking about them each being just a normal mortal child that was pushed to the brink by some horrific trauma and that's what earned them their crown. Like Kallamar, for example. His family was set upon my a mystery sickness and, fearing the plague, their village cast them out. Now suffering sudden homelessness, they were ravaged by illness and swiftly died, one by one. Kallamar had been feverishly experimenting with varioid plants and herbs for a cure, and only set upon one when it was too late for everyone but him. After stewing in grief for awhile, he takes the diseased, rotting corpses of his family and throws them into the village well, poisoning the wicked people he viewed as responsible for their deaths

He watches from afar as the plague ravagss the entire village, and refuses to share with them the cure he's found. Tells them this is what they get for being so cruel, and that earns the Crown of Pestilence's respect.

The others go through similar trials: after her family starves and tiny bb Heket is forced to cannibalism to survive, she sets fire to the vast fields that blanket the countryside, burning an entire season's worth of crops and leaving vast swaths of people to starve over winter. Shamura's homeland falls to a warmongering fool, and they vow to put an end to the fighting with nothing but their mind. Studying and researching and honing their thoughts, eventually getting themselves taken in by the Lord himself, a famed lecher. Poisons the wine of him and his comrades, and ends the war without ever taking up a weapon of their own. Narinder's family is executed for heresy, and he does the same to the families of the ones who took his, hanging and beheading them. They come together shortly after, Crowns pushing them to meet and form the pantheon.

Disney would have had a problem with you if you tried to sell Steamboat Willie. Not that you made him swear ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Public Domain is about being able to sell your version of the character, not "do whatever you like with it for free". You could do whatever you like with it on the internet anyway, you will not face consequence. Just as long as you didnt try to make money off of it - no one was going to come after you.

My last post made me want to spin the ballet au to suit the general cast, keeping Es as the protagonist 🩰

I don't have art for this one but I still got a bit carried away with the details LOL This definitely leans more into a sweet fix-it :3

The story would open with Es waking up in the medical room of Milgram Dance Academy, a very small and isolated school. Es is told they suffered a bad head injury during a performance, resulting in amnesia. Their instructor (Jackalope. Make this work however you wish.) tells them not to worry about it, and to focus on their dancing for now. Es feels a pressing responsibility to stay and rehearse, so they agree.

Jackalope tells them they must understudy several roles while recovering, not ready to jump into things right away. They're grateful, since they're struggling with their identity and expression without their memories.

The first student they are directed to is a shy and lanky dancer by the name of Haruka. They study under him as the role of a graceful, melancholic swan. They watch the choreography in general, and it looks nice enough. Es proceeds to spend several rehearsals with him, talking and bonding and learning he has a bit more going on than meets the eye. They try to offer help as he admits to familial issues, self esteem questions, and comments about sibling jealousy. In turn, he teaches Es to mimic some of his powerful emotions. At the end of their time together, they both perform for their class in full costume and staging. Now, Es understands each move with a deeper understanding than their initial look at the steps.

Next, they’re sent to meet the bubbly girl playing Juliet and begin the process anew. This continues to make a total of ten roles. Some of the dancers take the sessions kindly, while others are brash, secretive, or just confusing.

After rehearsing with Kotoko and learning to understand her determination and confidence, Es is sent back to Haruka, who has moved onto a new show and new role. They’re shocked to discover that their words to each dancer – always well-intentioned – had caused some issues backstage. Now, there are rivalries and changes in stage presence. While experiencing stress (that Es has inadvertently caused,) some were distracted in rehearsal and got injured. Es must take on the interpersonal issues as well as the choreography challenges.

I don’t have all the roles down and was trying to stick to well-known shows anyway, but I think I’d want Muu to be the Sugar Plum Fairy, Kazui to be Albrecht from Giselle, and Amane to be Clara. I wanted to keep them traditionally gendered to prove there are plenty of roles for men, but I can’t help but have Odette/Odile thoughts for T1 Mikoto ;-;

Like the other post, I'm equally tempted to have the dancers performing ballet adaptations of the mvs 👀 I want to see. Bee tutu. Doctor coat costume. Marching band tutu. AKAA mismatched look. The backgrounds. The music. The choreo. So many cool possibilities...

As a sweet au, it all ends with everyone better for having met one another. Es is cast in a solo performance, combining everything they've learned both emotionally and technically from the others. They feel satisfied with their sense of identity, and shine onstage ✨️✨️✨️
