television drastically shortening the amount of episodes for shows really is ruining what would otherwise be Good stories because i feel like most of the complaints this new season of doctor who is receiving are due to things that could've been fixed by articulation and lengthier build-up

THE HUG.#suggesting that physical touch is something they Do now#him admitting he missed her. not a huge deal but meaningful To Me.#the doctor who classic 'im never leaving you!' <- dies 1-3 episodes later. which will never get old#can we return to the hug one more time. insert joke about how i know he takes it from behind. and so on and so forth.#and last but not least the way he looks at her. man. stares off into the distance forever#i always forget about this little moment but it really is such a beautiful one

Diagnosing fictional characters is so so hard like why won't they just sit down in front of me and fill up a questionnaire is that too much to ask
#some diagnoses are easier than others#and i'm talking dsm-5 criteria here#because diagnosing a fictional character with a depressive episode is not easy per se but it's easier than say like bpd#aspd is also easier than bpd because I'm like “well what would an ill-intentioned doctor rule”#bpd actually requires both in depth-access to mental states and to their temporality 8#*as in like I don't just need them to struggle with their emotions on panel once I need to know their general mode of emotional functioning#which is an issue in comic books where there's less access to worded verbalization of mental states#especially when the character you're trying to diagnose is not the MC#and on top of that they switch writers all the time and everyone argues on what is OOC#so you get a character that blatantly has bpd to anyone with eyes to see#but good fucking luck diagnosing him buddy#cptsd is a different issue and that issue is that i'm gonna fight who because why is the icd always so stupidly restrictive#ugh
