He didn’t know exactly why he agreed to go to this garden party. It was one of the few Saturdays he had off and he wanted it to spend with Sarah. She’s been in middle school since the summer and with all the changes that brought they only had little time to hang out in the last few weeks.
So when Sarah brought the invitation for this garden party that the parents of one of her new classmates were throwing, he wanted to decline. But Sarah told him she really wanted to go, and that if he had something else to do that day, he could just drop her off and pick her up after?
But of course Joel Miller went with her.
And it wasn’t that bad. The drinks were cold, the food was good and meeting all the new parents at the beginning of the year was a good thing too. Even if he already had forgotten most of their names. There were a few faces he recognised from Sarah’s elementary school, so he kept talking to them, all while having an eye out on Sarah who was playing soccer with some kids at the other side of the backyard.
„Fancy seeing you here,“ he heard your voice behind him, and his eyes closed before he took a deep breath and turned around, fighting unsuccessfully against the smile that sneaked to his lips as he looked down at you.
„Could say the same,“ he winked and your smile widened.
This party just got interesting.
Tumblr media
You were running late.
The plan was to leave around twenty minutes ago but Charlotte, your daughter, just couldn’t decide on what to wear. She just turned twelve and if this last half year was a preview on how puberty would be with her, than you were in for a wild ride.
Usually you used the weekends to charge your mental batteries by having as little contact to the outside world as possible after working at a bakery and having to be social all week.
But Charlotte had brought the invitation for the garden party a couple weeks ago, begging you to go because Sarah would be there too.
And where Sarah was, her father wasn’t far behind which was why you said yes in the end and spend way too much time on deciding what to wear before you decided on a light summer dress.
It had been a while since you seen him, and you couldn’t even remember the last time the two of you had found the time to have sex.
Because ever since Charlotte and Sarah became best friends some time back in pre school, you and Joel started sleeping together occasionally. The first time happened after a night out at the bar where you ran into him, both of your kids on a sleepover. It had been positively mind-blowing and you were more than eager to agree to keep this going when you both needed a release.
His wife had left him and Sarah before the girl turned one and your husband had used your pregnancy to fuck his secretary because apparently carrying his child made you unattractive to him.
And with both you and Joel being very devoted single parents, both of your love lives was pretty much non existent. You wouldn't say it was frequent now, but every month or two you would find some hours where you’d meet up at either of your houses, not leaving before both of you were more than satisfied.
And you didn’t know if it was the secrecy of the whole thing, but my god the way Joel Miller knew how to play your body to the point of a crying orgasm was addictive.
But now you hadn’t really seen him in almost three months.
With the school change and summer break things were busy not only for you, but for him too. You texted occasionally, trying to figure out a time to meet up, but business was picking up for Miller construction and Joel used the little time he had off to spend with Sarah.
Something you could understand.
So you were excited to see him as you parked your car right behind his on the street after Charlotte finally had chosen a dress to wear. You knew all that time deciding on her outfit would be for nothing once they played soccer, but hey.
Charlotte was off to see Sarah as soon as you stepped into the garden, many people already mingling. The smell of fresh BBQ lingered in the air and before you even had taken two steps inside you already had an iced tea in hand, the host, one of the moms of a new classmate of Charlotte that you had met before, welcoming you.
You were glad that Charlotte and Sarah where in the same class, both of them loving each other like sisters. With Joel working so much you had Sarah over more often lately, seeing Joel only when he picked her up.
She was very well behaved and deep down you got the impression she loved hanging around with just girls for a change. Of course Joel was the best father, but there are some things that teenage girls don’t want to speak to their dads about.
Such as how to use the eyeliner she secretly bought correctly or the awkward question about what to use, pads or tampons or period underwear?
It was nice that she trusted you with questions like that.
You knew from Joel that she had struggled to not have a mom like other kids and he told you it was nice that she now had you to ask all those questions.
Not that you were her mom, or wanted to be.
Well…. Okay maybe sometimes deep into the night when you looked at the empty space in bed next to you, you might imagine how it would be if Joel would be there, every day. How could you not?
He was the hot single dad every mom in class always wanted and you were the one who had him. Occasionally. But still.
You let your eyes gaze through the backyard before you saw the broad shoulders of the man you had hoped would be here.
You could feel the butterflies in your belly as you walked over to him and fuck that smile he gave you when he turned around…
Tumblr media
„Work still keeping you busy?“ You asked a little while later, both of you with a plate of food in front of you, sitting at one of the tables outside.
„Yeah. Can’t remember when I got more than five hours of sleep at night the last time,“ he groaned and you reached one hand over to rest on his knee before you could stop yourself.
„You got to take care of yourself, honey. Let that brother of yours pick up some slack too,“ you winked and he gave you a bashful smile before one of his hands came to rest on top of yours.
„He does. As a matter of fact he’s taking over the next project so I have some more free time to spend with Sarah,“ he said and you hummed.
„And if I’m being completely honest there’s this girl I haven’t spend any time with in the last months and I really really miss her and her little pussy,“ he had leaned in, whispering the last words against your ear and you shivered.
„Just her pussy?“ You mumbled back as you looked up at him and he smirked.
„Nah, she’s the whole fucking deal. Should probably get off my own ass and finally as her out on a date instead of just fucking he brains out whenever she lets me,“ he said and you sucked your bottom lip in as you tried to hide your smile.
You looked away from him for a moment, gathering your thoughts, making up your mind.
You needed him, and you needed him now.
„Think you can show me where the bathroom is? I think I need a little refresh,“ you asked, hoping he would get the hint. And by the shit eating grin that came to his face, he did.
„Of course. Follow me.“
Tumblr media
„This… This is not the bathroom,“ you mumbled against his lips, his body pressing you against the door of what looked like a laundry room.
„Less interruptions here,“ he hummed, hand slipping under your dress, finger hooking into your panties, pulling them down. You smiled, hands in his hair as you helped him get your panties off.
„Been too damn long,“ he ran his hand up your leg, wrapping it behind his back, his other hand on your back puling you closer before he kissed you again, his tongue playing with yours as you reached down, unzipping his pants.
„Missed me so much you gonna fuck me in some people’s laundry room? Want us to get caught?“ You grinned, hand pulling out his cock, surprised to find out he wasn’t wearing any underwear. Wrapping your palm around his cock you loved the deep groan he released against your lips.
„Not gonna get caught if you keep quiet baby,“ he hooked your leg over his arm, hand on the door behind you as he stepped closer, opening you up for him.
„Oh yeah, because I am the one who can’t keep quiet,“ you teased and he huffed a laugh, replacing your hand around his cock with his as he pumped himself and lined himself up.
You wrapped one arm around his shoulders, standing only one one leg, trusting him to keep you there.
Slowly he finally sank into you, his thick cock stretching you perfectly.
„Fuckin’ perfect,“ he grunted, lips pressing against yours in a deep kiss when his cock filled you completely, both of you moaning quietly.
„This ain’t gonna take long, sweetheart. Been to fuckin’ long,“ he grunted and you gasped when he moved, bottoming out completely before thrusting back inside.
„Don’t care, just fuck me,“ you whimpered and he nodded against your lips, fucking up into you, skin slapping against skin every time he filled you.
You sucked your bottom lip in, trying to keep quiet as he hammered into you, his lips now attached to your shoulder as he groaned into your skin.
„Shit,“ he grunted just a couple of thrusts later and you felt him twitch as he came, spilling inside of you. Letting your head fall against the door you gasped for ear, having not cum but fuck it still felt good to just have him inside of you.
You were about to say something when he got on his knees, cock pulling out of you, your leg now hooked over his shoulders as his tongue replaced his cock, Joel moaning as he tasted you.
„Oh fuck,“ you whimpered, hands now in his hair as he looked up at you. He grinned wickedly as he licked into you, licked his cum out of you.
„We taste good together,“ he mumbled against your cunt, and you pulled at his hair with a quiet whine.
„Shhh Baby. Don’t want anyone to hear what a little slut your are for me huh?“ He teased and you pulled his hair harder, making him moan as he continued to lick you.
He sucked on your clit, tongue playing with it all while pushing you closer and closer to the edge.
„Joel,“ you moaned softly, your head falling back against the door as you finally came, gasping for air as your body shook in Joel’s hold. You melted against the door once you rode it out, limbs feeling like jello. He kissed your pussy one last time, before he set your leg down, keeping his arms around you as he got off of his knees. You wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him hard once he stood upright.
„We do taste good together,“ you whispered and he chuckled.
Tumblr media
It was two hours later, nobody at the party had noticed the very explicit things you did in that laundry room, that Joel carried a very tired Charlotte towards your car, Sarah already sleeping in the backseat of his car.
You opened the backseat door of your car for him and he carefully sat Charlotte down, putting the belt on for her.
You were leaning against the back of your car as he closed the door and he walked towards you.
„What are you doing next Friday?“ He asked, fingers tilting your chin up.
„Nothing. Charlotte is with her Dad,“ you said with a small smile.
„And Sarah is at her Grandma’s for a sleepover,“ he hummed with a smirk.
„Wanna go on a date with me?“ He asked and you grinned, getting on your tiptoes to kiss him softly.
„I thought you’d never ask.“

A View From Above (Severus Snape x Reader)
Or, that time you shared New Years Eve with a kindred spirit.
A/N: Happy (belated) holidays! I hope this season treated you well. This is a gentle, fluffy one, a hug in writing form to anyone who may find the holidays to be a struggle. It’s not always an easy time, and I’m thinking of you ❤️
Tumblr media
The cold night air bit at your cheeks as you nestled yourself further into the nook of the Astronomy tower. It may have been cramped, and not to mention near freezing, but it had one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the entire castle.
And not to mention the quiet. This was the only place you were able to clear your head properly.
“You’re not off at the party with the rest of the staff.” The sudden remark nearly made you jump, despite being quietly spoken. You shifted in your little corner, looking up to find Severus standing a few feet away. He wore his trademark stern expression, but for a split second you could’ve sworn he was biting back a smirk.
“I thought you were a student, the way you’re all crammed up in there.” Severus nodded to your little corner, and this time a tiny smile did make it to his face. “I was ready to take points away and send you to detention in the morning.”
You snorted, pushing yourself up out of your corner to properly greet your coworker. While you wouldn’t go so far as to call Severus your friend (he’d have your head if you did, probably), you felt… comfortable around him. It was more than could be said about the other staff.
“Drew the short straw and got put on patrol, I guess?” You asked, stretching your legs a little as you moved to lean against the guardrail of the tower. Severus followed suit as he settled in beside you, scoffing.
“They’ve come to know over the years that I never attend Dumbledore’s bloody holiday parties. Since I don’t go, I get patrol duty. It’s become… an unspoken rule.”
Severus paused, gazing curiously at you.
“Had I known you wouldn’t be attending tonight’s party either,” he continued slowly. “I would’ve volunteered you for patrol tonight.”
“Why?” You retorted with a small laugh. “Missing out on the festivities now, after the fact?”
“No,” Severus drawled. He rolled his eyes at you, but you caught the small huff of a laugh that left him. “It would be nice to celebrate the new year in peace. Alone. Like you’re doing now.”
“Well…” you thought for a moment. “You can stay here with me. I won’t say a word, it’ll be like you’re alone.”
As you looked out at the lake, you caught Severus turn to gaze at you properly out of your peripheral vision. Heat crept up to your cheeks, and you kept your gaze on the water below.
“You went away for the holidays.”
You blinked in surprise, finally turning to meet Severus’s gaze.
“I’m surprised you noticed I was gone.”
He nodded. “But you came back early. classes don’t start for almost another week.”
Despite the constant statements, your co-worker’s dark eyes were filled with questions. You usually appreciated Severus and his matter-of-fact nature, but things were feeling… too close.
“My family.” You sighed, not wanting to go into too much detail. “The holidays are hard. I go visit because I have to, but this year was too much.”
You braced yourself for more questions, but to your surprise Severus simply nodded.
“The holidays are godawful.” He murmured.
“Is that why you never go home for Christmas and New Years?”
Severus pressed his lips together in a thin line. Now he was the one to keep his gaze on the lake below.
“Let’s just say, I’ve burned many bridges over the years.”
You gazed at him, watching the way memories of his past left a murky darkness in his eyes. You shuffled over a bit more, instinctively wanting to provide some sort of comfort, to let him know you understood. To your surprise, Severus didn’t step away.
“Want to know why I come up here?” You asked softly. Severus raised an eyebrow in question.
You beckoned him back over to your little corner a few feet away, and crouched down to the small window.
“Here, squeeze in,” you murmured, tucking your knees in and wrapping your arms around your legs. Severus glared at you skeptically.
“You’re much smaller than I am.”
“Oh, stop it. You’ll fit. Come on. Just tuck your legs in a bit.”
A ragged sigh and an unintelligible grumble later, Severus was crammed into your little spot beside you. You were surprised at how warm he was, despite the cold air that drifted around you.
“See there? Down there, to the right?” You pointed through the window to a far-away cluster of tiny lights. “It’s a village. Right at midnight, they set off the most beautiful fireworks. From here, they’re so small, it’s like watching them from space almost. It’s nice, without all the noise and chaos of actually being there.”
You glanced quickly at the time and smiled. “It’ll be midnight soon. Not much longer now.”
“You can’t- argh, my leg-” Severus cut himself off as he shifted positions, trying to fit beside you comfortably. Your knees knocked together and you tried your best to shuffle in further to give him a bit more space. Your hands brushed together as a result, and you fought to ignore the way your heart jumped.
“You can’t see this from anywhere else more comfortable?” He asked, his voice strained. You couldn’t help but let out a small giggle.
“No. The lookout doesn’t stretch this far. If you’re lucky you’ll maybe catch one or two fireworks if they go astray, but this is the only place where you can see them all.”
A comfortable silence fell between the two of you, save for Severus shifting every now and then to keep his legs from cramping up as he sat beside you.
“Have you ever been kissed on New Year’s?” You murmured softly, resting your hand against your cheek. The look of surprise on Severus’s face mirrored your own feelings as you realize what you just said. You expected Severus to scoff at you in his usual tone, but to his surprise he shook his head.
“No. I suppose going to parties would’ve certainly helped with that, however.”
You held back a laugh, only to let it bubble up as Severus glanced at you with perhaps the only warm smile you’d ever seen him show.
“And you?”
“Yes,” you answered softly. “But it was… odd. It felt forced. We were both drunk.”
“How romantic.” You laughed once more at the sarcasm that was evident in Severus’s reply. “You’re really selling the tradition from how you’ve described it.”
“You’ve really never been kissed at midnight?”
“Was my first answer not clear enough?”
Despite the biting reply, there was laughter in his eyes.
“No, just… I’m surprised, that’s all. It’s something everyone should experience just once.”
“So is getting hungover, but you don’t see me scrambling to experience it ever again. Besides, who are you to talk? You just said your New Year’s kiss was awful.”
“I never said that!” You protested, only to receive another signature glare. “It was just…”
Severus snorted. “Certainly wasn’t good, from the sound of it.”
“Okay fine,” you sighed, running your hands over your face. “It wasn’t good. But it wasn’t awful either.”
“Sure, whatever you say.”
You laughed, elbowing Severus teasingly. To your surprise, he nudged you back gently.
“I’m glad it was you that found me up here.” You murmured, pulling your knees a little closer to your chest. Severus gazed at you, smirking.
“Why? Filius or even Minerva would’ve enjoyed this spot. At least they would’ve fit.”
“Not that.” You rolled your eyes. “It’s just… you’re the only one I feel I can be myself around. Like now. I’d never be able to talk about this kind of thing with anyone else.”
Severus gazed at you silently, his eyebrows knitting into a tiny frown as he processed your words.
“Sorry. That came out of nowhere.”
“Don’t apologize.” He replied softly. He didn’t say anything more, but there was a comforting warmth that filled his eyes. No words were exchanged, but you felt as though you understood.
A tiny spark flashed in the corner of your eye, and you glanced out the window as tiny fireworks bloomed in the distance.
“Oh.” You gasped softly. “We missed the countdown. It’s midnight.”
“Mm. So it is.”
You turned your gaze to Severus, whose gaze was fully absorbed in the fireworks. The conversation from a few minutes earlier ran through your mind, and you leaned forward to press a tiny kiss to Severus‘s cheek. He gazed at you, bewildered.
“Happy New Year.” You managed to squeak out. The shock faded from his eyes, and it was replaced by that familiar warmth as he softened. Severus dipped his head respectfully in acknowledgement.
“Happy New Year.”
The two of you sat together in silence, watching the fireworks. Then, to your surprise, Severus tapped your arm lightly.
“This, us tonight, stays up here?”
To your surprise, it wasn’t a statement. You could see there was a bit of nervousness in his eyes. You nodded.
“Yes. Of course. This is our secret. Why do you ask?”
The air felt heavy for a moment as Severus paused in thought, before closing the already-small distance between the two of you. He pressed his lips softly to yours, caressing your face with both of his hands. In the back of your mind, it hit you that he was gentle and calculated in literally everything he did, not just potions. It made your head spin, and your heart race.
The fireworks were over by the time the two of you pulled away. Severus let his gaze fall away, but you caught his hands in yours before he could pull away completely. You squeezed his hands reassuringly to let him know it was okay, and he returned your action with a kind smile.
“Hopefully that… wasn’t as awful as your last New Year’s kiss?”
You let out a giggle, and felt a rush of pure joy run through you as Severus shared your laughter.
“That was, by far, the best. And hopefully not the last?” You added shyly.
In response, Severus leaned in and kissed you again.

toto wolff
tags: smut/pwp, las vegas, sugar daddy au, sugar daddy!toto, mafia boss!toto, gambling, drinking, ditzy!reader, hotel room sex, daddy kink, dirty talk/degrading language
a/n: didn't write any christmas fics because i'm not the biggest celebrator of christmas, so here, are some fics to enjoy all year round! i am going to devour from wontons and take a nap- happy holidays <3
Tumblr media
"play that card." you pointed to the ten of hearts while you were seated in toto's lap. you were currently at the aria hotel and casino on the las vegas strip, curled into the lap of your alarmingly older lover. the type of age gap to raise an eyebrow at.
you didn't care, you were both adults! plus toto wolff took very, very good care of you. he shifted you in his lap and said, "shh, shh, i don't think that's the best i can play." his tone low, for such a dangerous man, he was quite gentle with you. as gentle as a mafia boss could be.
you nodded and held onto the front of his crisp button up. you pressed your cheek against his shoulder and could almost hear his heartbeat. you asked quietly before toto played, "can we get ice cream after this?"
you know what you were doing was wrong. you shouldn't have gotten involved with a mobster. such a dangerous man. but, how could you not? not when they looked like toto wolff! you had no choice, but to fall head over heels in love with him. tall, handsome, dangerous, the type of man you wanted. and he so happen to want you in return.
you were his slice of heaven on earth, so when he went on a "vacation" to the united stated, he had to bring you. it was only a night in the city before you two traveled towards california. you were close to his side the entire time.
the city of sin, this was where he took you. despite it being an informal vacation, there still was work to do. there was always work to do. when he left you stayed in the hotel and when he returned, he gave you his undivided attention.
"let me get that for you, princess." he often said as he got you what you needed, he guided you from place to place with a hand on your lower back. his kisses were soft and loving. he was a guiding hand, a caring force in your life.
so even when you gazed at the cards he put on the table, you clearly didn't know your way around a card game. but he still kissed you on the face and said, "good try, my love." you made quite the pair, especially when toto teased you by slipping his hand up your short skirt for a moment. his long fingers grazed your panty-clad pussy. his other hand held another round of cards. you squirmed a little in his lap and he held you a little tighter. "no need." he said, "be a good and stay still, my good luck charm." then pressed another kiss onto you warmed skin.
"are you winning, daddy?" you asked softly.
toto kissed you at the top of your head and replied, "no need to worry about that, my prize.' his fingers grazed your clothed sex once more and you felt a shudder run through you. couldn't be too loud at the cards table.
the stallion, the wolf, the feared man of europe. so many names for a man like toto. you kissed his shoulder and shifted in his lap a little as his fingers continued to make home under your skirt. you felt protected, safe in his arms. he was terrifying to most, but to you, he was just toto.
after another round and more chips in the man's possession. he asked you, "why don't we go back to the hotel? i know you wanted ice cream, but i'd rather something much warmer instead. let's collect our winnings, my prize." he said as he kissed your jaw that he held in his hand.
and who were you to deny your lover?
toto kept you close once the chips were cashed out. you both made it back to the hotel room, his larger hands were all over you once you were in the lavish room. he kissed your warmed skin, any inch of bare skin he could get his mouth on. you got out of your heels hastily and he soon looked down at you and rubbed himself through his slacks. he was a man who carried so much power, and you were the won drove his mad. to hold you, to have you, and devour you through sexual endeavor.
you laid naked on the king sized bed in the hotel room. toto found is amazing, an angel in a place like this. he smirked as he said, "you look beautiful, especially with no clothes on. you look like a dream."
he swallowed as he stripped himself free of his clothes. you admired him as article after article of clothes ended up on the floor. you rubbed your thighs together with anticipation. when he got into bed you wrapped his arms around him and pulled him close. your bare breasts against his chest. he held onto you by the middle and smiled at you.
"are you going to be okay, daddy? do you want me on top?" you asked innocently.
toto raised an eyebrow, "what are you implying, my prize?" he pressed further into you and held you a little tired.
you replied, innocent still in your tone, "your knee, daddy. it was bothering you earlier, that's why i was seated on your other leg." and toto took you by the face.
"implying i can't keep up while in a little pain, my darling?" you were playing a dangerous game. you swallowed and shook your head. toto chuckled and kissed your heated cheek, "you look adorable. i know you worry about me, darling."
you soon ended up face down in the covers. toto had shifted your hips up and you moaned a little. you called his name, "daddy." and it was music to toto's ears as he teased your cunt.
he soon sank in, unable to wait much longer, and your noises got louder. he loved the feeling. it was unlike anything he had before. unlike any drug or person he ever had before, you were addictive in your own way. a scary man like him could easily fold because of you. it was sweet, toto knew his greatest weakness would be his forever. he quickened the pace of his hips up against you.
the older man kissed at your shoulders. he knew he could keep up with his prize. in the bedroom, man younger than him needed a little help. he didn't need anything to get him going, definitely no medications. he worked himself against you. your noises fueled his movements. you sounded like heaven with a body of an angel.
"mmm, fuck daddy!" you arched your back with a lustful force. your breathing was heavy as he fucked you with quicker movements. even at his age, he still hadn't slowed down.
"my little treasure. my little slut. most would kill for what you had. but you got it so easily all because you knew the right man to fuck. putting that needy cunt and slutty throat to use." he pressed into you further, "you're a special little thing. spoiled too, but i guess that's my fault." he held onto your hips a little tighter and until your voice got caught in your throat.
toto spoiled you and idolized you like the sun. but he could also be quite aggressive in the bedroom. you could feel him in your stomach, his hard length hit against the right areas. you were how everything. in a world of money, power and violence. you were a sliver of heaven that toto could come home to. not just sex, but when you cooked him dinner and played with his dark hair while on the cough together. being in your space, in your arms, in your heart.
you made his laugh just as much as you arousing him. you were his always his. toto was protective of you, that was why he needed to be as close to you as possible when he could. you arched your back a little and panted against the soft covers. it was probably the most comfortable place he had fucked you. you were certain that you still had imprints in your skin from the leather seats of expensive cars. you preferred a soft bed like where he was fucking you now
"all mine." he said with a bit more tenderness, "every inch is mine. top to bottom." his pace grew hungerier with each just of his hips. he wrapped a strong arm around your middle and bounced you on his cock.
"daddy!"
"you're just my little slut, aren't you? you love all the attention i give you. you leave me hungry for more with each time i have you. i'm obsessed with you, my little angel." and the devil would defile an angel, a wolf to devour a lamb. and toto wolff would fuck you until you were left a shaky, whiny mess. he continued to fuck you, he was rough with his movements and you were left moaning. he moved your body to his liking, which brought pleasure through your body.
his cock was bully inside of you. the head of a dangerous family, the man who knew his way around guns, knives and baseball bats. danger and blood clung to him like a second skin, but yet, he needed you. his angel plucked from heaven.
the woman he carnally desired.
"fuck, my prize. my treasure." he groaned as he listened to your sweet noises. you sugary sweet needy noises only fueled him to fuck you harder. he felt the excitement run through him as he worked your sweet pussy.
"daddy, please. i'm close." you arched your back a little more and your face further buried in the covers. you held onto them as he rocked into you. it was like a symphony of pleasure in your head. you were moved up and down on his cock, he fucked you with a heated purpose and left you gasping below him. it didn't take much longer before he felt you clench around him. your heated body came around him, encouraged by the bullying pace of your lover.
heavy pants and weak grasps of the covers, you came around his hard cock with your back arched and your voice muffled into the covers. the pleasure and lust boiled over and it made your entire body feel amazing. he kissed the back of your neck and you melted a little at his touch. you laid perfectly under him as he worked your spent body.
a few more heavy, heated thrusts and he finished inside of you. he shoved his entire length into you and felt the splash of heat. he groaned through a tense jaw at the feeling. he slowed to a stop and turned your head enough to kiss you on the lips before he pulled out. soon you were laid out on the bed together, toto had his briefs back on and you were wearing the undershirt he wore.
you were curled up at his side, your lover kissed our face. praise was loose on his tongue, you did such a good job for him. you felt like a dream and he loved you. you held onto him, and despite the danger that he could pose. he held you softly, with a total love and conviction he held for you. that he'd always have for you <3

I'll try to be nice and polite about it because I really think you are coming from a good place: but the thing is you are just wrong.
At least based on my perspective as part of the Latam, all the factors you mentioned were struggles for you and others from the US to learn foreing languages happened here. The difference is that the average brazilian with no classes till maybe high school, the idea learning english is hard and boring and no incitive whastover still needs to know english to get okay-ish jobs, to study in certain academic fields, even to just deal with rude turists in some places. English is more and more becaming a skill that is unacessible but we still HAVE to get.
And this is by design. Is a way to keep us in our place, if we don't understand your language the oportunities created by the US egemony are closed to us and that makes less likely for people from Latin America, specially poor and native people, to get even remotedly close to an even playing field.
The problem isn't simply that you guys don't know our languages is that not knowing our languages means nothing. Doors aren't closed to you the same way they are to us. In that way the biggest problem is that we are forced to know yours.
In Brazil in theory we learn english starting at middle school. When I went to school it was starting when we were eleven. If you ever went to an english class in most public schools or even rural private schools you know that's not really how it works. We spend ten years on the "to be" verb. English was the grade people did because it was easy since we didn't actually had to do shit. The very marjority of people I know don't know english and all the ones I know that do did not learn it from school. But all of them feel like they have to.
In a more personal level I love english, I always loved languages and I would have loved to have learned english at school for fun.
But I learned english because my parents begged from relatives and took extra hours at work to give me some classes and the classes didn't even work as much as I noticed how hard it was for them and had to find ways to make it work for me. And my parents did all that because my cousin failed a bunch of job interviews for not knowing english. They did that because according to them "knowing english was becaming less a skill that helped someone in getting a great job and more a skill you needed to have to get most jobs." Neither of my parents speak english. But they did their best so me and my brother could (mostly via making me teach my brother cause they couldn't pay lessons for the both of us).
I had none of that to help me learn spanish nor italian nor any language I would love to learn for fun if I had the time.
I didn't learn english because it was fun. My brother hates languages. He still learned english after painfull horrible lessons that made me give up on my dreams of ever being a teacher.
The problems are way deeper than your shitty educacional system and it angers people like us because we had all the same problems and were forced to learn your language anyway only to see someone go "well we never had the chance" when neither did we. And I understand that not being incentivized to learn sucks, we didn't either, but the problem is way deeper. They don't want us to learn your language. They want us to have to but fail so that can be used as a justification to deny us oportunities. Is why imigrant characthers with broken english are still a joke on your media.
And this is what this post and this conversation is about. Not knowing other languages might be a result of bad education, might even be by design. But not HAVING to DESPITE the lack of everything is a privilege. And this is the point.
I rarely bring this up because it feels like fairly silly and low-stakes compared to all the other effects of american imperialism, but one of the funniest things when Americans deny that living in the imperial core and the center of global cultural hegemony confers them any sort of privilege over people from the imperial periphery is that like. In order for this conversation where you tell me you have no privilege over me to even be able to take place one of us had to learn the other's language, and it wasn't you.
I think the fact that by default the onus of learning the other's language to enable communication is always put on the other side is a pretty significant privilege on the cultural front.

Beyond the Fear~Jude Bellingham
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plot: you and Jude fight because he wants a child but you don't feel ready
wearing: angst, sweet ending
You are in the small park next to the apartment complex where you live, where the afternoon sun filters through the branches of the trees, creating bright spots on the grassy ground. The children run and laugh around you, their energy is contagious. You enjoy spending time with them, organizing little games, telling stories or helping them with their homework. It is a moment of lightness, of pure carefreeness.
Jude, your boyfriend, watches you from a distance. It is not unusual for him to do so. He often leans on the fence of the park or sits on a bench a few meters away. You recognize him immediately.
"You always stay here, huh?" he says one day, leaning in with a smile that tries to hide something deeper.
"I like being with them," you say, pointing to the group of children playing hide and seek. "They're so full of life."
Jude nods slowly, but his gaze doesn't move from you. It's intense, almost piercing. You feel the weight of his eyes on your face, on your hands as they fix a little girl's braid.
"You're incredible with them,"he murmurs at one point. His voice is low, almost a whisper, but loud enough to reach your ear."You know... sometimes I think about what it would be like to have a child of our own."
His statement takes you by surprise. You turn to him, trying to read the enigmatic smile on his face. "A child, huh?" You ask with a light laugh. *"Don't you feel like you're rushing a little?"
*But Jude doesn't laugh. He takes a step closer, letting the silence between you thicken. "I'm not kidding," he says with a sincerity that both makes you uncomfortable and intrigued."Every time I see you with them... I can't get the idea out of my head of what you'd be like as a mother. Perfect, I'd say."
You blush, looking down. "It's a nice thought, but... it's not the right time."
"When will it be, then?" he insists, gently taking your hand. His touch is warm, reassuring, but you sense a sort of hidden urgency.
His fingers trace small circles on your palm, a silent, insistent request for your acquiescence.*
"Jude..." you hesitate, looking up. Your eyes meet his intense look. "We've only been together a few months...it's too early to think about such serious things."
*He nods, but there's a stubborn stubbornness to his expression. "I don't believe in fate, destiny, or crap like that." He says, a little harshly. "But from the moment I saw you, I was sure of one thing: you were made for me."
Your breath catches in your throat at his words. You've heard them before, in small declarations of love and passionate embraces. But this time it's different.
Jude's fingers tighten around yours, almost anxiously. "There's something about you, something that makes me feel..." he struggles to find the words. "I don't just feel attracted to you because you're beautiful, or funny, or intelligent. It's like I've known you all my life. Like in my soul, deeper than I can put into words, I know you're the one."
His grip on your hand becomes almost painful. "I want to share everything with you. I dream of going through life together. Of having adventures, of loving you till we're 80, of having children... I know it sounds silly but... I can't see myself with anyone but you."
You look at him, torn between surprise and affection. He's so vulnerable here, so different from the usual self-assured man you know.
"I... I don't know what to say," you stutter, trying to order your chaotic thoughts. "I love you, too... But what we have now is so good... Why must we rush into things?"
His eyes narrow, as if your answer is not what he expected. He runs a hand over his face, frustrated. "I'm rushing? It's been months, darling. We're not getting any younger. Life is short. I don't want to waste a instant."
Your heart beats faster, not just because of his intense gaze, but also due to his words. His insistence on the concept of time makes you uncomfortable, you feel pushed into a choice.
"I understand that you want these things, believe me. But we're still figuring each other out. We should enjoy this phase of our relationship..." you try to reason, but Jude interrupts you, his voice a little more urgent than before.
"What do you mean 'figure us out'? I feel like I know you better than myself! What more should we know?"
You take a small step back, overwhelmed by his persistence. You'd hoped that this talk would end with a laugh, in a warm hug. Instead, it's becoming an argument, something you didn't expect.
"There are so many things we don't know about each other," you explain, your voice wavering a bit. "We haven't gone on any significant trips, we haven't met our parents, we haven't faced any serious problems... these are all fundamental things, Jude."
A small shadow of annoyance passes over his face, making his features harden.
"What are you implying? That our relationship is not serious because we haven't done all these things? That it's all just an illusion?"
You shake your head, trying to find the right words to express what you feel. "No, no, I'm not saying that at all. I'm just trying to be realistic. We can't make big decisions if we haven't experienced many things together."
"I don't know, I don't know..." you say, frustrated and a little scared.".We both know it's not just about time. It's a feeling, it's an intuition."
Jude makes a small sound, almost like a scoff.
"This isn't about your damn intuition," he says, a hint of anger finally breaking through. "I want a life with you, I want to wake up next to you every morning... Is it so hard to understand?"
You shake your head, feeling tears stinging your eyelids. This conversation is taking a direction you weren't expecting, and it's hurting you.
"Of course, it's not hard to understand. I want those things too, but..."
He suddenly grabs your shoulders, almost shaking you. "But what, huh? What is holding you back from making a commitment?"
"It's not that I don't want to make a commitment," you try to explain, your voice choked with sobs. "I love you, you know that. But committing to a life together...it's a huge deal."
He lets out a breath that sounds like a strangled laugh, and releases your shoulders, taking a step back.
"I see. Commitment must come when you're ready, huh? The right time, the perfect set of circumstances..." he says, his voice full of sarcasm.
His words cut deep. You feel accused but don't understand why.
"Jude, that's not what I'm saying..."
But he silences you, his gaze burning with frustration and disappointment.
"Isn't it?" he asks bitterly. "You want to keep playing this game until everything is perfectly aligned, until it's too late. But life doesn't work like that."
You feel a sense of panic, like things are spiraling out of control.
"Please, stop... This is not how I wanted this conversation to go." You take hold of his forearms, your fingers wrapping around his tense muscles. But he doesn't soften.
"How would you want it to go, then? Would you like me to wait until we're old and gray?" Jude says, his sarcastic tone like a blade in your heart.
you look at him trying to make him see reason "Jude we are only twenty-one years old"
He looks at you with a mix of disbelief and anger.
"Twenty-one is not that young, darling," he retorts through gritted teeth. "Many people have families at our age. Hell, some get married at eighteen !"
You let go of his arms, taking a small step back. Your heart is beating fast in your chest, but you try to keep your voice steady.
"But most people wait. Just because some others go through these steps early doesn't mean we have to do the same."
He lets out an exasperated sigh, running a hand through his hair.
"So what, we'll just wait and wait and wait some more... just because most people do?"
His tone is harsh, like he's expecting a specific answer that you can't give him.
"I... I don't know..." you stutter, overwhelmed by the force of his insistence.
He takes a step forward, closing the small distance between you. "Exactly. You don't know. You have no idea when you'll feel ready, and you have no idea how much time you're asking me to waste."
His words cut deep. They make you feel like a fool, like a coward who's afraid to make decisions. But you try to keep control, even though your vision is starting to blur from the tears you're holding back.
"I'm not asking you to waste anything... I just want..."
He cuts you off with a sharp laugh. "You want... what, exactly? Do you even know what you want?"
The question hangs in the air like a heavy cloud, and you struggle to find an answer. In a way he's right.
"Of course, I...I want a future with you," you start, trying to keep your voice from trembling.
"But I also want to enjoy being young, to do things we can't do once we have responsibilities, bills to pay, maybe a family..."
He looks at you, his gaze intense and critical.
"You think having a family would prevent you from enjoying life? Do you think having responsibilities would make everything impossible?"
There's a hint of hurt behind his anger, as if your words are twisting a knife in an open wound.
You take a deep breath, trying to make him understand what you feel."No, that's not what I'm saying. I know there will be beautiful aspects too, moments that will fill us with joy..."
He shakes his head, dismissing your words.
"But you're afraid. You're scared of the commitment, of the responsibility. Of giving up your freedom."
You shake your head fiercely, feeling like he doesn't understand you at all. The tears are ready to burst, like a dam about to break.
"I'm not scared of commitment. I love you more than anything! It's just... It's a big decision, can't you see? I'm not scared, I just need time."
He scoffs, his eyes narrowing. "Time. Always more time. But what if I don't want to give you time? What if I don't want to spend my youth waiting for you to make up your mind?"
His words sting like a knife, leaving you cold.
"So what, you're just going to give up on us because I want a little more time?" you ask, your voice choked with tears.
He doesn't respond right away, his gaze averted. When he speaks again, his voice is lower, a hint of regret in his tone.
"Is it really just a 'little' more time? Or another year, two years... or maybe five?"
You swallow hard, the reality of his words sinking in. It's true, you can't give him a definitive timeline. The thought of losing him fills you with fear, but the thought of rushing into something you're not ready for is equally scary.
"I don't know..." you whisper, fighting back tears. "I just wish you could understand."
He sighs, and his features soften a bit. "Understand what, darling? That you need to figure stuff out before committing to me? That I have to sit around and wait for you to make a choice? How do you expect me to be okay with that?"
The accusation stings, and your frustration begins to match his.
"I'm not impossible! I just need time."
He scoffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
"How much time? A month? Six months? A year?"
His insistence is exhausting, and you suddenly feel the need to defend yourself.
"Stop pushing me! I can't give you a damn timeline because I don't know how long it will take me to be ready!" you cry out, surprising even yourself with the volume of your voice.
His eyes widen at your outburst, clearly not expecting such a reaction from you. The silence that follows is tense, filled only by the sound of your heavy breathing.
He looks at you for what feels like an eternity, his expression a mixture of frustration and hurt, and then sighs, running a hand over his face.
"You know what? Forget it. We're going around in circles. It's pointless."
A pang of pain stabs your heart at his words. You feel abandoned, like he's giving up on you without even trying to understand.
"So that's it? You'll give up on us just like that?" You ask, your voice cracking with emotion.
His words cut deep, making you feel like a fool, like a child who doesn't know what they want.
"Is it so hard to wait?” You say, your voice trembling with tears.
He looks at you like you've said something stupid, and he snaps.
"Yes, damn it! It's hard! It's harder than anything I've ever done. Spending day after day, not knowing if you'll ever want to build a life with me. Wondering if I'm just wasting my time."
It breaks your heart to hear him express his fears like this, to realize how much this hurts him. You want to reach out to him, to hold him, to tell him it will be okay. But the words choke in your throat.
"I... I don't want to hurt you..." You whisper, your voice trembling with sobs.
He lets out a breath, closing his eyes for a moment. When he opens them again, they're filled with an intensity that makes your heart stutter.
"But you are hurting me. By not knowing what you want, by not giving me some kind of certainty. Do you even see a future with me?"
"sure baby" whispers softly
His expression softens slightly at your words, but his eyes remain searching, as if he's trying to understand more than just your answer.
"You say you see a future with me, but do you really? Are you sure I'm what you want? Because if I'm not, you need to be honest. I'm tired of being in this limbo, of waiting for you to make up your damn mind."
Your heart aches at the pleading in his voice, and you reach out a trembling hand towards him.His closeness, the certainty in his voice, it's so tempting to give in to his reassurance. But doubt still nags at you.
"But what if I can't figure it out?" You whisper, feeling like a failure."What if I'm stuck in this feeling forever?"His closeness, the certainty in his voice, it's so tempting to give in to his reassurance. But doubt still nags at you.
"But what if I can't figure it out?" You whisper, feeling like a failure."What if I'm stuck in this feeling forever?"
"Of course I see a future with you," you whisper, your voice breaking with emotion.'But I just.. I need a little more time to be absolutely sure."
Jude looks at your outstretched hand, his expression still edged with frustration.
"Time. Always more time. But how much is enough? How long until you're 'absolutely sure'?"
He looks at your outstretched hand, his expression still edged with frustration.
"Time. Always more time. But how much is enough? How long until you're 'absolutely sure'?"
You shake your head, feeling frustrated and helpless. It's true, you can't give him a timeline, but you want him to understand.
"I don't know..." you admit, your voice thick with guilt. "I just want to be sure, to be absolutely sure, that we're doing the right thing here. A life together, it's a big deal, it's a huge commitment..."
A hint of disbelief flashes in his eyes.
"You don't think I know that?" He asks, his voice rising slightly. "I know it's a huge commitment. And I'm ready for it, dammit, I've been ready for a while."
His intensity makes you shudder, but you try to steady yourself.
"I know you're ready. And I'm scared, okay? I'm scared that I won't be able to give you what you want, that I won't be enough."
Jude looks at you incredulously, surprised by your confession.
"You think you're not enough? Is that what this is about? You being scared you're not good enough for me?"
You nod, tears welling up in your eyes again. The fear of not being good enough, of not measuring up, has been at the back of your mind for a while now, but you've never voiced it.
He lets out a breath, his expression shifting from incredulous to something softer.
"Goddammit, darling, is that what you think?"
You nod again, unable to speak as the tears start to fall. The weight of your insecurities is suddenly too much to bear
He watches you for a moment, his expression a mixture of surprise and hurt.
"You really think I'd want to spend the rest of my life with someone who's not 'good enough'?"
You look down, unable to meet his gaze. Your insecurities are screaming that he deserves better, that you're not worthy of his love and commitment.
"I don't want to hold you back," you whisper, your voice barely audible."I don't want to be a burden."
He shakes his head, his expression becoming more intense.
"Hold me back? You're not a burden. Goddamnit, you have no idea the way I feel about you, do you?"
His words hit you hard, chipping away at the wall of insecurity you've built around yourself. But doubt still lingers in the back of your mind.
"What if… what if I can't give you what you want?" You ask, your voice trembling.
He takes a step closer, his gaze serious and determined.
"Babe, what I want is you. Just you. I don't care about anything else. And if you're scared you can't give me what you think I need, don't you think that's something we can talk about and figure out together?"
His closeness, the certainty in his voice, it's so tempting to give in to his reassurance. But doubt still nags at you.
"But what if I can't figure it out?" You whisper, feeling like a failure."What if I'm stuck in this feeling forever?"
He tilts your chin up, making you meet his gaze.
"Then we'll figure it out together. I'm not giving up on us, on you. We'll work through it, we'll find a way. I'm in this for the long haul, no matter what."
you smile sweetly and hug him with sweetness. He hugs you back, his arms wrapping tightly around you. His embrace is warm and reassuring, and for a moment, all your fears and doubts are drowned out by his presence.
He buries his face in your hair, his voice a low murmur. "I'm not going anywhere."
hearing his words you hug him tighter "I love you Jude"
He tightens his hold on you, his heart racing at your words. For a moment, he just holds you, basking in the sweetness of your declaration, before pulling back enough to look at you.
"I love you too, darling. More than you could ever know."

noncon/dubcon, kidnapping, possessiveness, stalking, and everything under the sun when involving yandere geto, mentions of blood/murders/body horror and geto being fucking insane
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who seems like the pristine image of a model boyfriend with everyone around you. in public he's showering you with compliments, kisses, gifts, showing you off like he's proud to be yours. and he is! except, no one understands just how much he is willing to do just to keep you.
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who doesn't like when your attention is diverted for even a moment when you're together alone. he may not be upfront about it in that moment, but it shows in other ways--a little snide comment here, an off-hand remark there while you're eating dinner together at some fine-dining restaurant he splurged on to make a point that he's the best you're going to have. you don't know what to make of it, you assume he's just a little off and just a little too into you, so you assure him that there's nothing and no one between the two of you. but you have gotten a little scared of him
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who tracks all of your activity on your phone with his, but you don't know that he knows you've confided in your friends about how much clingier he's been. (clingy? him? he just doesn't want to lose you!) so he pays each friend you have confided him a little visit and a little gift behind. a severed leg there he probably dug up from a graveyard, a dead rat there. they definitely know it's him but they know better than to tell you. he always finds out.
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who takes all of his frustrations out in the bedroom with you but he's somehow so sickeningly sweet about it...murmuring about how you're much better off with him instead of monkeying around with friends who don't care about you like he does, who can't make you feel good like he does and who can't provide for you like he does. between each little heated kiss into your weeping cunt he lists all the ways you're better off with him and no one else.
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who crashes the FUCK out when you finally have enough courage to break up with him after you catch him berating one of your friends who can't hurt a fly, all because he feels like your friend is threatening your relationship.
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who can't let you go and won't let you break up with him. even after you block him he still finds a way to monitor your activity on his phone (and he's gotten his hands on your new number; he has eyes everywhere and you two have mutual friends... he may have hacked into one of their phones!)
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who leaves little gifts at your doorstep, at first they're expensive luxury gifts but when you stop reacting he starts leaving more and more unhinged surprises. one of them is the severed limb of a mutual friend, and you can't say a damn word about it because who is going to believe you? and who CAN help you? in many ways he's above the law.
manipulative dipshit boyfriend!geto who shows up on your doorstep months after the 'breakup,' at your new place, how does he find out where you live? drenched in blood that isn't his, with a nihilistic grin on his face.
"did you really think i'd let you get away with this? nothing and no one is going to stop us from being together. i've made sure of it."

What if Tommy and Eddie discussed the breakup, and it goes from serious to funny?
So Eddie goes to Tommy's house and is like "I'm here to check on you, let's get a beer."
Tommy tries to refuse, but Eddie says, "You broke my best friend's heart, so the least you could do is explain your reasoning to me."
Tommy reluctantly goes. After a few beers, he starts rambling.
"I fucked up, and I don't know how to fix it or even if I should fix it. I was falling in love with him, and it snuck up on me. I didn't expect for it to get more serious," Tommy says. "I thought it was just going to be fun for awhile, and we'd go our separate ways."
"Your second date with him was to his sister's wedding," Eddie points out.
"Oh so sue me! It's not my fault I caved. He gave me these pleading puppy eyes, and I found myself agreeing."
Eddie rolls his eyes. "Well, if you never expected it to get serious and didn't want it to get serious, then why haven't you found your rebound yet? It's been weeks. Even Chimney and Maddie are telling Buck to start dating again."
Tommy groans into his hands and then rubs his temples. "Fucking traitors."
"Well, I know this hot priest-"
"Been there, done that," Tommy says and takes a swig of his beer.
Eddie looks at him with a bewildered look on his face. "What?"
"What?" Tommy responds with a shrug. "I was raised Catholic. Guilt about sexuality is easy to spot, but he made the first move."
"Do I even want to know how?"
"Ever had sex in a confession booth?"
Eddie's eyes are wide and horrified. "Please don't tell me-"
"It was an old booth in storage, but it was still pretty hot. Once I admitted to myself that I was gay, I had a lot of catching up to do."
Then Tommy goes quiet and gets sad again. "I'll never meet another Evan in my life. I think he's ruined me for other men."
"Don't say that. While, I prefer you two together, you can always find someone else."
Tommy snorts in disbelief. "Yeah, not gonna happen. At least when it comes to sex. His adorable face and cheery smile haunt my dreams, and his proficiency with dick makes it impossible for me to get it up even when watching porn."
"Oh no, I need more alcohol for this," Eddie says and orders some shots.
He and Tommy go through a couple of them.
Tommy's tongue gets looser. "His dick is fantastic. Perfect length, thickness, and stamina. I know my body pretty well, and let me tell you, the prostate orgasms from him were out of this world. I barely lasted five minutes before coming just from him fucking me."
Eddie is drunk enough that he's not even fazed.
"Not to mention he has this slight curve that makes him hit the spot every time, and goddamn, I miss that dick and the dork attached to it," Tommy continues. "He made me feel comfortable and safe and cherished. Being around him was effortless, mostly, and I miss him so much."
Tommy starts sniffling, and then tears roll down his cheeks. "Fuck, I don't want to cry."
Eddie puts a comforting hand on Tommy's shoulder. "Call him. He's a mess and miserable without you. He's been baking so much that the entire station's hemoglobin A1C levels are pre-diabetic. We had to force him to focus on savory cooking."
Tommy shakes his head. "He doesn't want to hear from me. I broke his heart. I'm the last person that should be contacting him."
"He does want to hear from you. He's only been baking and cooking so much to stop himself from contacting you because he wants to give you space and respect your boundaries post-breakup."
"What would I even say? That I panicked and ran? I told him he would break my heart if we moved in together. There's no coming back from that."
Eddie sighs and sets his drink down. "Listen, the first time you ended things with Buck, I told him he was an idiot but to call you anyway. Now it's your turn to be the idiot. Go get your man back. Call him. Talk to him. He'd settle for a text. Just do something! You both are suffering without each other. You don't have to move in with him. He just wants you back in his life."
More tears run down Tommy's face and it turns into full sobs. Eddie scoots closer to him and gives him a hug. Tommy clings to him, sobbing even harder.
After drinks, they stop by a taco place and sober up while eating delicious birria tacos. They go back to Tommy's place, and Eddie sleeps on the couch just to make sure Tommy is alright. Before he falls asleep, he texts Buck.
"If Tommy contacts you, go easy on him. He's an idiot too."
When Tommy wakes up the next morning, he nearly stops breathing when he sees that Evan texted him.
"I miss you." was all it said.
Tommy cradles his phone in his hands for several minutes before pressing the call button. He holds his breath until Evan answers.
"I miss you too," Tommy says.

Yeah dude most people are cunts about politics. Either you haven't been at this long or you are being purposely dense.
Most people don't even give you the benefit of treating others in good faith after you give them good faith. Frankly I don't have to treat you in good faith at all. And demanding it, is stretching that benevolence.
I gave the right stats, wrong name. I get my latin mixed up from time to time.
Here's the pdf
Enjoy not reading it in any great detail. Also another fun fact, the divide between women and men is the methods of murder used. Men are messy, women however prefer poison, and violence by proxy.
Interestingly, when a woman uses violence by proxy, we don't consider it statistically because technically she didn't kill her husband.
Then there is the sentencing and conviction gap between men and women as shown in the first statistics.
And then on top of that you have the sheer fact that if a woman wants to leave a man destitute, without home, car, money, children and everything else, all she has to do is divorce him and the courts will do that work for her. In short, right now a woman doesn't have to kill a man to take everything from him. Just marry him. Or just live with him for a certain amount of time.
Furthermore, you'll notice an interesting historical trend. When women were killing their husbands in greater numbers was when they had the least amount of protections from abusers and ability to safely leave. Now the situation is reversed where a man due to the Duluth model of domestic violence, a man is left in the spot where if he is abused he will be arrested. If he defends himself or his children he will be arrested, if he locks himself in a room he will be arrested. If his abuser hurts herself in abusing him, he will be arrested.
Don't like it? Start advocating for equal and fair courts that don't take account of gender or atleast stop advocating for the terrible policies you continue to do so.
So in closing why would you expect any other outcome? This btw is another case of pushing for a policy without concern for its outcomes.
Edit now that I have time to reply to you fully: I think I forgot to write a conclusion again so here it is.
The number of wives vs husbands doesn't actually deal with an issue of "validation of murder" as at no point will I say "murder is good" but that "your data is wrong" or that "pointing to the numbers of those murders don't actually address the point of which murder is validated."
To which I would also point out women have been shown statistically to more likely get away with their murder on a claim of self defense. Considering the conviction rate differences mentioned earlier, whether this claim was truthful or ad hoc after the act, remains a question, but does not change the overall fact that the system is more likely to convict a female murderer over a male one.
So your argument is untruthful, incorrectly applied, and wrong. Either way you look at it this was a bad move.
Also, an argument isn't valid or invalid by whether its made in good faith. What matters in debate is how convincing it is, in philosophy whether its true. Truth matters in our argument. Not whether I treat my opponent with respect he will not return in kind.
Good faith must be earned. Maybe you are a vaush fan, someone who treats everyone in the worst faith possible and then complains that they don't treat him in good faith, a good faith he has never close to earning.
Our system's issue isn't and hasn't been the for profit nature of it, but the government regulations. Because previously to the regulations it ran much more efficiently and effectively. But it was purposely mangled by people who vote like you. Because if you mangle a system to the point it doesn't function, then you can advocate for greater control and regulation. Succeed or fail you get what you want.
No its bait. It had nothing to do with the conversation. You could have picked self defense which has a better basis but you chose this.
Also whether you picked it knowingly you have more to say about feminism than about the healthcare debate. Whats more your arguments on healthcare are begging where as you speak authoritatively about feminism. Its clumsy and very transparent.
But I will play ball because Id rather deal with your strongholds and crush them rather lance some pointless boil.
Why destroy that which you don't hold strongly enough to defend?

Feel free to not read it aswell but frankly see the work it's based on is in the form of kant's critique of pure reason. All post modern philosophy requires the irrational base kant provides for their theories. From modern Christianity, to socialism, to feminism. All of them cite his discrediting of reason in the formation of their philosophy.
Did you not know? Rationality is a tool of male oppression according to feminism.

I would prefer primary citations but Im on mobile and the primary works are harder to find as I dont typically read them.
A discussion about the conflict in our ideas. Should we let our abstractions fight in an attempt to gain supremacy over each other while we are just indifferent observers? The standards of knowing whether you are right or wrong are deeply important. How do you know if you are wrong? I have my standard it's philosophical and its existence exists. Disprove that and everything else follows.
Can data be manipulated?
Also till this exact second I thought I was debating a rather effeminate man. Your race didn't come up in how you write.

And how many children are without a parent because of denied medical care, homelessness, police brutality, etc.
If you're going to use "but they have children", be consistent.

Tumblr media
Lee Jihoon loved one thing about his job—working from home. With enough people in his team to cover tasks both from the office and at home, they're given the option to work either and Jihoon always picks home, time after time.
Until today, when Jihoon had received a message that his Work-From-Office buddy would be taking time off work for the next week because his grandfather fell ill, and he was asked to go back home for the time being.
“Only a week, Jihoon, and I swear you can go back to your PC set and slippers,” Wonwoo had reassured him, but it still wasn’t enough, “I’ll even help you rank up to Ascendant 3.”
So, that was how Jihoon found himself waking up at seven and taking public transportation to the office because his car was at his parent’s, and honestly, he wasn’t close with anyone to the point where he’d ask for a lift.
During the entire trip on his first day back to the office, he cursed the corporate slave routine. To think that before social distancing, that we would wake up at the crack of dawn to beat traffic or the commuter rush, go to a job that we’re not even sure we enjoy (spoiler: we don’t), and then have to go through that same rush and traffic when going home, only to sleep and reset the routine for the next day. As an IT support member, being in the office was the most useless and time-consuming thing. The Wi-Fi at his office is crap, the computers are old and laggy because the company doesn’t want to invest in better quality technology, and the team leaders are always breathing down your neck—but, hey, at least they compensate those that choose to come to the office.
One thing that Jihoon was grateful from the pandemic was the normalization of working from home. Having the option to attend the 10AM meeting, waking up at exactly 9:50 AM—clocking in—then joining the Zoom meeting without having to shower, change out of your pajamas, or even get out of the bed was something that was too good to be true. Alas, it happened, and he had been thriving and taking advantage of his Work From Anywhere policy in his company. Granted, he is only able to continuously work from home as long as there were two team members working from office, and luckily enough, that condition was met for the past six months
“This is new,” Hansol quipped when he spotted Jihoon signing at the entrance of the office. “Ah, Wonwoo is taking time off, right?”
“Yeah,” Jihoon muttered, most of his face hidden under a mask and cap, with his eyes peeking through the lenses of his glasses. “Do you think there’s coffee in the kitchen?”
“Obviously,” Hansol chuckles, finding the question obsurd. Can you blame Jihoon? The ceiling in the entrance of the building is almost falling apart from mold forming because of rain, and their computer to clock in was an old ASUS model from 2014 that can only function on a LAN cable—which is why its only purpose in this marketing agency was for signing in.
Sometimes Jihoon even wonders how the company can last for the past decade with its cheap ways.
He made his way to the second floor where the pantry, and overall kitchen was placed, making himself a cup of coffee before climbing the next step of stairs to the IT room—the main base for programmers and the support team. Another thing he hated about working from the office was the fact that the AC in his office just never seems to function. It’s the middle of summer, the city is going through a massive heatwave, and here, in his company placed in the smack middle of the city, they have a policy to not let the AC go anywhere under 23°C.
At least, when he is in the comforts of his own home, he can have the AC go as low as it can get, all while still in his pajamas, and could even multitask with Valorant opened in another tab.
“Oh, Jihoon, you’re switching with Wonwoo, right?” Jeonghan asked, turning in his chair and pushing his glasses up above his head.
“Yeah, I am, where does he usually sit?” Jeonghan taps the desk on his left, and watched as Jihoon got settled, a glint in his eyes that the younger one spotted. “What?”
“Did Wonwoo tell you anything?”
“Other than keeping my Google chat opened, nothing really,” he responded.
“You’ll be handling his division, too, right?” Jihoon nodded. “The Marketing team.” Rather than a question, Jeonghan confirmed the division, and once again, Jihoon nodded. A crease formed between his eyebrows, unsure of what his senior was referring to, and the latter noticed, chuckling at his puzzled expression. “You’ll see.”
It’s too early to understand what he means. Usually, he’d still be asleep right now if he were at home, especially since there aren’t any meetings he needs to attend today, he could’ve slept until three minutes before he required to clock in. He wasn’t use to having to be on work-mode even with ten minutes before his shift officially starts.
God, I miss working from home.
The first few hours into the shift was tedious. Since the company is a small PR agency, as a member of the in-house IT team, he’s required to wear multiple hats and take on various tasks. Unfortunately, since he is replacing Wonwoo for the time being, he’ll be taking on the task of Website management and ensuring that the Marketing team didn’t have any issues, as well as any technical issues the team might face, which is inevitable as their equipment is, as mentioned, crap quality. Every day Jihoon wonders why he claims to resign from the place but never does.
“Let’s grab lunch across the street,” Jeonghan invited Jihoon once the clock had struck twelve, signaling lunch time for all employees. Jihoon was about to agree and turn his computer to sleep mode when a ding! notified a message had come in. He rose a hand, indicating for his senior to wait a moment as he checked the message. He hadn’t received any complaints during the first half of the day from the team he was in charge of so this was a bit unusually for him.
It was a message from you.
Y/N: Afternoon, Jihoon. This is Y/N, and I’m new from Saerom’s team. Y/N: I was told by Wonwoo that he’s currently on PTA, and to message you instead. I have an issue with my Google Analytics account, I’m currently logged out and usually Wonwoo helps me with that because I haven’t been given my password (it’s been two weeks I’ve started 😅). Y/N: Can you help me with this?
“Who’s that?” Jeonghan ducked down, looking over Jihoon’s shoulder as he read the message, then a chuckle left his lips. “Ah… it’s Y/N, she’s a new, and struggles with a lot of the tech things—you’ll be meeting with her a lot.”
“She’s bad with tech and chose to be a social media specialist?”
“Ironic, huh?” Jeonghan laughs. “But she means well, even though she sucks with tech, she has good ideas and already has a viral TikTok video for one of our clients.”
“And she says she hasn’t been given her passwords? Aren’t we supposed to give it to them when they start?”
“Yeah, but usually they don’t ever log out, only she has that case,” he explains, the corner of his mouth lifting before he pats his junior’s shoulder reassuringly. “Just head on over there and help her, it doesn’t take more than ten minutes.”
Jihoon heaved a sigh, reluctant to help because of how tedious and unnecessary and easily avoidable this problem would’ve been if she’d had her hands on her account passwords.
Jihoon: Lee Saerom’s team? Y/N: Yes Jihoon: Alright, wait a minute Jihoon: On my way
“Are you dining in or taking away?” Jihoon asked Jeonghan, while he wrote down the password for your account on a sticky note.
“Dining in.”
“I’ll meet you there then.” With that, Jihoon tossed his cap off and trudged down to the second floor where Saerom’s team should be located. Since it was lunch time, most of the office space was empty, with only the office boy who was busy sweeping the floors from the aftermath of earlier today. He found the main room for the Marketing team fairly quickly, and didn’t have to look far for you as you were the only one in the room, seated in front of your computer, shoulders stiff and hands placed on your lap as if you were starting your first day.
Immediately upon hearing the creaking of the door, your eyes met above the desks and monitors, and for a brief second, Jihoon paused—almost shell-shocked as to finding someone like you working in a rundown company such as this.
“Y/N?” Jihoon called out, just making sure despite the obvious newbie aura that wafted around you.
“Yes… Are you Jihoon? The one covering for Wonwoo?” He nodded, and you were almost sure he’d say something to follow up to prevent an air of awkward silence from appearing between the two of you. He did not. Instead, he barely uttered anything as he approached your desk. You didn’t hesitate to push away with your chair to let him take the reigns and input your account. How you were able to stay logged out of the account and not have said anything earlier was unbeknown to him. You had been finishing up last week’s reports, but had only moved on to Google Analytics just twenty minutes ago. You’d usually have your account still logged in, always clicking the Remember me, however, to your surprise, you were logged out.
“This is your password.” Jihoon handed you the sticky note. “If you need any more help, you can just message me—Wonwoo is on leave for the next week.”
“A-alright.” Maybe it was the way he carried himself that intimidated you. Or the fact that he never made any attempt at small talk, thus, a tense and awkward air floated in the space between you two. Maybe it was his tone, lacking the usually bounce you’d usually hear from Wonwoo as he explained the mechanics of Hootsuite.
It is definitely his aura, it’s ice cold, you couldn’t help but think and maybe when he wasn’t looking, you’d shiver. “Thank you,” you uttered, and with a stiff smile, he nodded and left the room without anything further, leaving you to finish the last half of your report alone.
If you need any more help, you can just message me.
And that’s how it started, a back and forth of at least twice a day since that first exchange between you and Jihoon. At first, you had to introduce yourself again, despite the fact you were using Google Chats and your name was clearly displayed. After a brief introduction, you explained the problem at hand, then after a minute or two came Jihoon’s go-to reply.
Alright, wait a minute.
On my way.
The first couple of times, you almost thought it was an automated response he had somehow coded every time someone messaged him. Maybe he had set it so that after a couple of messages from the sender, it would trigger the short response from his end, however, you learnt that it was just purely him when your own messages grew shorter and shorter.
So, short to the point that this was your most recent exchange:
Y/N: Jihoon :( Jihoon: On my way
Thus, it became almost a routine for the two of you. Jihoon didn’t have any complaints, despite Jeonghan’s claims that the junior would usually complain from having to go back and forth, ascending and descending the same set of stairs more times than he should be. “Aren’t you tired?” Jeonghan had asked on Thursday after Jihoon had returned from helping you with the extension cord for the presentation you had scheduled the afternoon.
Jihoon merely shrugged. “I barely get to exercise with coming in.” Of course, as Jeonghan has been working with Jihoon since he started, he could tell the guy was bluffing, hiding whatever his true intention was behind his nonchalant facade, but he never said anything. Sooner or later the truth will come to light.
Jeonghan wasn’t the only that could tell that was a different air hanging around the avid-WFH-over-WFO tech employee, and whatever gossip that surrounded him managed to reach the ears of the guy he was covering for as the two got into a game of Valorant Thursday evening. As the two waited for a match to be found, Wonwoo informed him that his grandfather was feeling better and could be released from the hospital by Saturday morning.
“Oh, that’s good to hear, glad he’s doing alright,” Jihoon offered, although a bit half-hearted as he was eating his dinner by his desk at the same time.
“Yeah, and by Monday you can return to your world of working from anywhere,” Wonwoo said, a deep chuckle echoing on his end. “And by anywhere, I mean, literally just your room.”
“Nah, it’s fine, I can come in to the office next week,” Jihoon replied without thinking twice, then realized what he said and added, “you can make sure your granddad’s fine.” He internally sighed, believing he made a good save. However, a dead silence hung in the Discord call, even after the loud ‘Match found’ reverberated, breaking the silence for a second.
“What did you say?”
“What?” Jihoon tried to play dumb, then added, “I’m playing Gekko,” to change the subject.
“Did you just say you’re willing to leave the comforts of your own home to work from office?” Wonwoo asked again, clearly twisting Jihoon’s words causing him to roll his eyes. His colleague then added, in a faux tone of panic, “The end of the world is nearing, isn’t it?”
“Shut up and pick your damn agent.”
“Are you even Jihoon right now?”
Jihoon defended himself, “I can want to work from office from time-to-time, you know?” Wonwoo was exaggerating, wanting to work from office is tiring, but nothing is more boring than working alone with only a dumb FPS game there to entertain you every time you’re free. Admittedly, he found working while being surrounded with other people was enjoyable—he wasn’t a social butterfly, didn’t make an effort to start a conversation by the coffee machine either, but it was… nice being around others every now and then. Humans are meant to be social creatures, after all.
“You have been working from home ever since probation had ended, which was literally two years ago, Jihoon,” Wonwoo reiterated, “you have been working from home since.”
“That’s not true.” He frowned, the comment caught him off guard and he almost started the round with buying any abilities. “I worked three days last October.”
“Which was, what? Nine month ago?” He couldn’t rebuttal that. It’s common knowledge among his peers that he despises working from office—Jihoon knows that, too. It’s just that this week has changed his mind. People can change their mind. “I have to bribe you with Valorant just so you come to company dinners, and now you want to willingly cover me for another week? For free?”
An irritated groan shook his chest as his character died on screen. “Damn it—” He pushed to talk, “90 on Reyna.” He fell back into his chair with a sigh, annoyed that Wonwoo was ruining his focus on the game—it was supposed to be his rank up to Ascendant 3. “Okay, and what’s your point?”
Jihoon swears he could hear the guy smirk. “I know.”
“You’re being annoying, you’re distracting me.”
Wonwoo paid no mind to his complaints, hitting clean headshots on the enemy but the spike detonated causing them to lose the round. Despite that, Wonwoo kept his cool as he continued to taunt his colleague. “Vernon told me about your round trips to and from the Marketing team.” He was definitely grinning now. "The problem is, I know Saerom’s team don’t usually need any help from IT support—at least, not to the point to where you need to go there twice a day.”
Jihoon cursed under his breath as he, once again, misses his utility and gets killed barely ten seconds into the round. This time he doesn’t even bother to communicate with his team, in fear of his voice shaking in anticipation of Wonwoo’s suspicions. “Except for one person,” his peer begins, letting the silence drag between the two as he focused on the game, getting three kills in a row, winning the round for them. Then Wonwoo asks, Jihoon picturing a shit-eating grin on his damned face. “Y/N’s cute, isn’t she?”
“I’m forfeiting.” Jihoon presses slash then F, to which it was denied, their teammates sending in question marks in response. Wonwoo’s burst out laughing at Jihoon’s ‘missclicked sorry’ reply. “Focus on the game—if I derank, it’s on you.”
Wonwoo’s laughter only grew louder, letting himself have the last word. “Jihoon enjoying working from office wasn’t on my 2024 bingo.”
Tumblr media
Neither was it on Jihoon’s because he never enjoys working from office. Whatever friendly and social air that was present the previous week wasn’t present now as he finds himself at the wrath of the Operation’s team manager.
“I was on a call with Miyoung and she told me she couldn’t access their website, Jihoon,” Eunkwang scolded, his greying brows forming deep crevices disguised as wrinkles between his eyebrows and across the length of his forehead. “You’re supposed to be on top of this—she couldn’t access it the whole weekend, Jihoon, what happened? We’ve never faced this problem before.” Yes they have, Jihoon recalled, it happens when you run an agency that barely gathers clients and doesn’t really care enough to provide quality platform options, either, but of course Eunkwang says the same argument. Talk about selective amnesia.
“I don’t care how long it takes for you to fix it—” Might take half an hour, could’ve dealt with it within the time you’re yelling at me but I’ll shut up, Jihoon bitterly thought but kept his lips pressed in a tight line. “I want it done until Miyoung calls to confirm.”
Once he was sure the old man was done projecting his anger, Jihoon bowed his head, uttering, “Understood.” He turned his body to climb up the stairs to the third floor, grumbling to himself how this wouldn’t have happened if he worked at home because he wouldn’t be tired from commuting and socializing during the weekends and could monitor the websites every now and then. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case because he was tired, and he is still tired, he hates working in the office, he doesn’t even know why he agree to go for another week, he could’ve been at home and in a Valorant Swiftplay by now—
“Jihoon?” He turned to find you, standing by the door of your team’s room, a timid look on your face. Something had happened, he could see it written all over your soft features as you eyed him wordlessly. Without saying anything, he followed you towards your desk, where you idly by your computer with pursed lips and furrowed brows.
The dreaded blue screen. It had only reached 15% and didn’t seem to budge even after three minutes of watching it.
“For God’s sake,” Jihoon cursed under his breath, however, it was loud enough for you to hear it and the unusual sharpness in his tone caused you to jump slightly, your heart beginning to race in your chest as his face contorted into frustration. “How did you manage to get stuck like this?”
“I-I don’t know.” God, you hated it when you started stuttering. It always made you look stupid and helpless. You inhaled a quick breath, hoping it would help calm the nerves that seemed to climb the more you avoided his intense gaze. “I was coming back from my break and turned it on, and it did this… I didn’t do anything, I swear…” If your lack of technological capabilities looked pitiful to Jihoon, your inability of forming a coherent and sensible answer was the cherry on top. “I’m really sorry.”
Upon seeing her stricken face, Jihoon inhaled a deep breath, letting his tensed shoulders fall. “No, Y/N, I should be sorry. I’m taking my anger out on you, you just needed help.” He glances back at your monitor, heaving another sigh. “Just leave it, it should be able to restart on its own, but if it doesn’t, just tell me.”
“Alright…” Would it be even more pathetic to say you were fighting away tears? You had to turn your head a bit, angling away from Jihoon so your hair fell to cover your face enough for him to not notice your obvious internal battle with letting your emotions take over. “I’m really sorry I keep bothering you with not being tech-savvy.”
An ache thumped in his chest hearing your apology, sounding defeated. “It’s fine, Y/N,” he tried to reassure you, but he knew damn well the damaged was done and whatever unspoken agreement to two of you had, had gone. Jihoon knew he was terrible with people, but he really messed up with ruining it with you—the one person that made coming into work, commuting back and forth, and facing nagging higher-ups, the least bit bearable.
It didn’t seem to register in him how bad the damage was until he got through the day without any messages from you. Even Jeonghan was surprised as the day was coming to a close. “Y/N didn’t come in?”
“She did,” Jihoon mumbled.
“And she didn’t need any help?” He only shrugged, trying to hide his own bewilderment. Did his words strike you that much? He decided to message you, just in case you were reluctant to ask him for help.
Jihoon: Y/N Jihoon: Everything alright?
He waited on the edge of his seat, his heart skipping a beat when you began typing back.
Y/N: Yes, everything’s fine ^__^
Everything was, in fact, not fine.
Not only did your computer take almost an hour to restart after the dreaded blue screen, whatever the computer had gone through during said hour had your accounts logged out, and you, being clumsy, misplaced the sticky note that Jihoon gave you, forcing you to borrow someone else’s computer to pull up the Instagram analytics. Fortunately, most of your inputted data was still available from before your break, it was still a hassle to transfer the data from your colleague’s computer to your own, and because, once again, you are tech-savvy, you didn’t know any shortcut. You had to turn to Google, open up YouTube tutorials on Excel shortcuts, consuming almost an hour of your day trying to learn everything from scratch.
But you promised yourself you wouldn’t bother him with any measly problems if Google already had a solution.
Even it meant running into the risk of never seeing him again.
Tumblr media
Two days had passed. It was Wednesday and Jihoon was ready to pack up and head back to his old life of working from the comforts of his bedroom. Two days without his favourite snacks. Two days without his functioning PC that he paid hundreds, probably thousands of dollars to build. Two days without his fast Wi-Fi that was optimal for a quick ranked game.
And two days without the usual ping of his Google Chat, the room with you now collecting dust as the last message exchanged was his check-in on Monday.
Now Wednesday’s work day comes to an end without your plea for technological aid. You’re genuinely the only thing in this bleak, rundown, cheap company that makes the work worthwhile, Jihoon couldn’t help but think to himself on the train back home.
Was it pathetic of him to think of you as a reason to wake up in the morning, fight the morning rush and sit through eight hours of blank staring at a computer screen if it means he can get a glimpse of you every now and then when he goes down to get another fix of shitty coffee? The two of you only officially met last week after all, and yet, he has grown drawn to you, attached even, finding the brief sight of you as you sat by your desk, an ever-so-present clueless look to your face as you try to remember how to VLOOKUP the third time. He finds endearing, so endearing that his heart aches and his days grow grey when he hasn’t seen you yet.
Has he always been one to fall so quick for someone?
Would it be even more pathetic for him to fear that feeling? Mind you, he has never left the house unless bribed to, social interactions were scarce aside from the call outs to teammates in his ranked games, and even then, he never bothered to make small talk with the people he’d temporarily need to rank up. Was he a bit too deprived of social interactions that meeting you overwhelmed him to the point of creating a false sense of falling in l—
“Wonwoo, when are you coming back?” This time the two weren’t in a game of Valorant. Thank God, Wonwoo had thought when Jihoon asked to get on a Discord call. The latter had dinner prepared and was watching Big Bang Theory while on the call, but his head wasn’t focused on neither the ramen nor the TV show. “Can we switch back soon?”
“What happened to your willingness to go to the office?” Again, that damned smirk was noticeable in the way he spoke, but Jihoon needed to keep his cool.
“Changed my mind.”
“How come?”
“Sick and tired of being in the direct line of shot for Eunkwang’s spit when he yells at me,” he half-lied. He had to wash his face after that meeting, to the point he used the strawberry-scented hand soap to make sure he couldn’t feel the droplets on his skin.
“Oh yeah, Jeonghan told me.” A pause. “Sorry that happened to you, but it’s just Eunkwang, his ammunition is making you work overtime every now and then.”
“I just don’t want to deal with him every now and then, much rather read him yell in the group chats than in real life.”
There was a longer pause now, Jihoon’s eyes glanced at his second monitor just to make sure his friend didn’t disconnect. Then, Wonwoo spoke up, tone matter-of-factly and the shit-eating grin heard clearly. “Vernon tells me you haven’t been to the Marketing room in a bit.”
“Vernon you piece of shit snitch,” Jihoon cursed under his breath, but obviously his microphone caught it, Wonwoo throwing his head back in laughter.
“I’m guessing the Tech-Illiterate hasn’t been asking for your help?”
“Y/N,” Jihoon corrected, not liking the term used—even if it did fit you.
“Hey, there are a lot of tech-illiterate people in our company,” Wonwoo pointed out, then added, “so I guess you admit it then, you’re thinking of her.”
His eyes roll far back, he gets a mild ache in his temples. “Fine yeah,” he admits with a defeated sigh, “she doesn’t need any more help from me so why should I even bother to go to the office?”
“For work, Jihoon,” he says casually. “I mean, you get compensation to come to work. Extra money.”
“I’m already rich enough,” he responds, clearly dodging.
“Then why work?”
“I’m bored.”
“You piss me off.” Wonwoo’s comment successfully makes Jihoon chuckle. “I hope Y/N becomes so tech-savvy that she doesn’t need your help anymore, and you will never see her again.”
“Asshole,” he hisses and disconnects from the call immediately, Wonwoo’s words pushed to the back of his head as he finished his ramen and closed the TV show, opening Valorant for a quick game to relieve the stress built up for the day.
Unfortunately, once he laid on his bed, eyes stuck on the ceiling, his peers’ words returned tenfold, echoing a sickening mantra in his head. What if you do end up learning how to do your job with little to no help, technology-wise? It’s hard for the guy to admit (and a tad bit dramatic), but he truly did feel like his entire being has lighten since meeting you.
Maybe he is deprived of social interaction, and you were the fix he needed, but didn’t want it to be temporary. He wanted to know everything about you, the reason why you struggle with technology and remembering passwords and working different Google suites. He wanted to know why you chose this line of work, why this shitty company, and why hadn’t he met you before.
He wanted to know more about you, and he doesn’t want to ruin the chances of being able to do so.
Although it might be pathetic of him to feel so strongly over someone he only met the previous week, he knew this would be a missed opportunity to not get to know you better, that it would become his biggest regret and he didn’t want his leaving the comforts of his WFA routine be for nothing.
So, he had a plan. A bit of a cheesy, cliché of a plan, but a plan and he lost sleep wondering if it’ll work or not.
As he entered the office, his mind kept replaying what he needed to do. It was simple, he just needed to wait for you to reach out to him, ask for help with an issue and it should be smooth-sailing from there, all depends on your answer, of course, but that was something he could worry about later.
Phase one starts with you and your uncooperative computer.
Jihoon waited, eyes glancing between tabs where his Google Chat was opened, looking at the bottom right corner of his computer at the time, watching the time tick by and still no ping from you. But that was okay, it was only two hours into this gloomy Thursday, there was still a whole seven hours before he could truly panic.
So he waited more.
And more.
And more.
He waited until he couldn’t wait, and time was running out. Eyes shifted towards the clock: 16.39.
Less than thirty minutes until the work day, and tomorrow is Friday, and he needed to get this done today because if he didn’t then, it’ll mess up his plan for tomorrow (which depends on your answer, too, if you say ‘yes’ then there’s another plan for that, but if you say ‘no’ then Wonwoo was already back in the city so he could cover for Jihoon while the latter wallows).
“Fuck it,” Jihoon mutters as he pushes himself up out of his chair, causing everyone else in the room jumps and turns to his desk, only to see him already out the door and rushing down the stairs.
“Go get her, man,” Jeonghan utters, loud enough for everyone to chime along with him.
With long strides and quick steps down to your floor, everyone Jihoon seemed to past knew he was a man on a mission—a man on a mission for you. He tries to ignore the mild chills that rose up his spine at that thought. He might be pathetic sometimes, but he likes to believe he can be quite the cheesy romantic, despite what his friends might say.
As expected, since it had been a slow day, a lot of staff had clocked out early, their jobs for the day done and all ready to end the work week. However, you were still by your desk, focused on the task at hand, only two of your coworkers in the room with you, but even they were mindlessly playing with their Excel sheets, waiting for the clock to strike five.
When he stood close enough to you, he saw that you weren’t focused on a task, instead on a game of Minesweepers. He watched you win a game, pursing his lips and nodding, visibly impressed. Sensing a present, you turned around and jumped slightly. “Jihoon… Hi.”
“Hey, Y/N,” he greets back with a stiff smile. “Is everything alright?”
A brief look of confusion passed your face, glancing between him and your computer, before nodding, “Yeah, everything’s fine.” And it was. You got through your day just fine, nothing needed to be troubleshooted, or restarted. You didn’t panic, other than when you forget to send a file to Saerom, but everything—technology-wise—was fine.
“Really? I got a notification on my computer that there was something wrong with yours,” Jihoon lied through his teeth. He didn’t, but he needed you away from your computer so he has ample time to put his plan in motion. His statement caused your brows to furrow together, genuinely confused because you didn’t receive any notification from your own computer, shouldn’t that be the case? Unless you did, and you didn’t noticed because you were too focused on your Minesweeper game.
“Oh…”
“Yeah…” Jihoon rubbed a nonexistent itch at the back of his neck. “Are you done with your work? It might take a bit for me to check it.”
“Oh yeah, I’m done for the day,” you said, then to the clock above the door. “I didn’t realize it was almost five.”
If you could hear anything right now, it would be the pounding beat of his heart against his chest as he tries to formulate an excuse to get you off the computer. “It won’t take more than ten minutes, though, Y/N.”
“Alright, I’m just going to fill my water bottle and clean up while you deal with it.” With a stern nod, Jihoon watched as you stood and walked out the room. Once outside, he took his spot and started his plan.
Recalling the steps he saw on Google, opening Notepad as he pulled out the sticky note where he wrote the code beforehand, typing it in and inserting the necessary message. Once he had saved it, he tested it once, and almost yelled out in triumph when it worked, displaying a fake error message.
“What’s the problem, Jihoon?” You approached him, bottle filled to the top with water. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, you just…” He stood from his chair, gesturing for you to sit. He leaned down, keeping one hand on the back of your chair as the other guided you. “You just need to click that, it’s to install a… an update… Yeah, an update.”
“This one? The ‘Critical Inquiry’ one?” Jihoon hummed in response and watched with sweaty hands and a racing heart as you clicked it, an error message popping up on your screen.
Tumblr media
Is this how IT guys flirt? The blood in your face travelled the distance to your cheeks, a bright pink beneath the glow of your skin as you tried suppressing your smile, Jihoon’s way of asking you out so unconventional, so out of the blue, so unique, that you couldn’t help but mentally applaud him, this was a new way you’d been asked out.
“What’s your option?” Jihoon asked, his voice so clearly on edge as he anticipated your answer, for a second even worried you’d decline then he’d be forced to return to his hermit habits and hide his embarrassment.
All that tension, no matter how hard he tried to hide it behind a nonchalant façade, was visible to you and gosh, he is so cute.
You sent him a smile, turning back to your computer wordlessly, letting your choice speak. Your cursor hovered towards the options, for a second too long it hovered over ‘No’, Jihoon’s breath hitching in his throat before his heart skipped a beat as the cursor moved and you clicked your mouse right on ‘Yes’.
The two of you stared at each other, a warmth in your eyes, and brightness in his, sharing a knowing smile before he uttered with the confidence he mustered between the panic.
“I’ll pick up at eight then, Y/N.”

Here's a few dreams & daydreams people have shared with me, I didn't want to publish them at first because, often, I get things in my inbox that seem more like fun thoughts folks wanna tell me about and not necessarily share, but at this point It has amounted to a collection that deserves an exhibit of its own, I think LOL
(RIP to the one I remember getting where anon was stuck in a car with DU drow in the driver seat. I Can't find that one for the life of me. Though I guess that one belongs in a straight up night-terror compilation instead of this one)
Tumblr media
Can I just say, for all of his flaws, DU drow would be so good at being the friend who waits in the doctor's office while you get your tunnels checked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the best part about this one (besides the obvious) Is that at first, I assumed the Greenwood quote was itself a fabrication of your dream. Like, that the whole full face covering and detailed erogenous zones were a part of what made the dream so strange, and not just straight up canonical information... WELL, now I know better!
Anyways, hang on, I gotta doodle something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one is so cool and so perfectly in-character for all involved, honestly. I love how despite the potentially-near-death scenario they both just start ragging on each other as soon as things clear, with Astarion going into whinge-mode and DU drow literally doing the "sniff my finger routine" 😩 It's very like them, to want to distract each other from a frightening scenario instead of letting it sit. This one is probably just something that happened at some point.
Thank you all for sharing! I'll be doing a proper ask compilation later today, I apologize that those have been scant. Between all my drawing ideas and everyone's messages I tend to get overwhelmed quickly, but as always I want to make it clear how much I appreciate all of the interest and support in my art and characters!
And feel free to send in more like these as well! I might end up making "fun scenarios that people send me about the boys" its own tag or something.

How do you think monsters would react to seeing a tall human?
Like I’m a 6ft woman and I get a lot of comments about my height (I know it’s all very clique but I would like to feel small once in a while) and I’m quite strong so maybe like? What would they do? Would they be like ‘cool story bro you’re little’ or be a bit like ‘you’re large for your species this intrigues me,’
I think about this a lot and I would like to know someone else’s like opinions on it.
And here’s just some answers to some commonly asked questions about my height that might make you giggle a little xx
Yes my family is tall
No I do not play basketball, netball or volleyball - I like to crochet.
Yes the weather is worse up here because I’m being used as an umbrella with my shorter friend’s.
Yes I have been asked to be climbed like a tree, no it doesn’t work as a pick up line. Leave me alone small man. You are unworthy due to the fact you have referred to me as a plant not a person.
I just wanted to first point out that when I write size differences, it's always independent of your appearance. The "small human" is really just a comparison to whatever unholy creature stands next to you.
A good question would be: has the monster ever seen other humans? Or are you their very first encounter? Additionally, how grand is the difference in size? If we're looking at a cosmic eldritch beast, I don't think they'd even notice you're somehow "taller" than the rest of the comically tiny beings.
So, yeah, it would definitely vary between "oh wow, this human stands out from the rest of her peers", and having to kneel all the way down to listen to your story of being taller than average. Uh oh. Cute.
Allow me to offer you a different scenario as well: a small, miniature monster, significantly shorter than you. Maybe a kobold. Boy, does he worship the ground you walk on. What elegance, what stride. He's never seen a woman your size. Whether you date him or not is up to you, but you'll absolutely have a small lizard scurrying behind with utmost admiration. Don't underestimate him, though! He can easily lift you up like you're made of feathers.

unfortunately, it's hard to interpret this as a good faith argument against veganism itself, because there are several statements made here that do not reflect an accurate understanding of what veganism entails - because veganism is not strictly a diet, nor would the vegan movement ever expect a woman to choose between 'her life' or a chicken's.
"Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."
if, for some health related reason, a woman absolutely had to consume an animal product, such as chicken meat, in order to survive, very few vegan people would take issue with that. because veganism is about reducing animal suffering as much as is possible for each individual. generally speaking, we have much lower expectations for 'perfect veganism' from people with limiting circumstances, specific dietary needs or fragile healths. on the whole, we would still consider that hypothetical woman 'vegan' so long as she avoided animal products at every other opportunity available to her, such as: not purchasing fur, wool, silk or leather clothing, not purchasing dairy milk or eggs, not attending zoos or animal sports shows... etc.
as a person living a vegan lifestyle, I wholeheartedly welcome criticisms of the movement that overlap with diet culture: it's very uncomfortable seeing veganism presented as a 'health' movement, and indeed, it can be 'marketed' by certain people/companies as such, a problem that especially effects women due to diet marketing. but that's really not at all what veganism as a political movement is concerned with, and I would argue the majority of animal liberationist vegan people passionately reject diet culture in all its forms. many vegan people also actively try to combat this image by promoting vegan 'junk food', which there is quite a large market for!
the question of veganism and health is not one that can be simply answered by calling it "limiting", "self-destructing" or "malnourishing", because this is a perspective that is quite frankly inaccurate and founded upon misconceptions. I have never once felt 'limited' by my vegan diet - except for when it has not been properly accommodated externally (such as supermarkets unnecessarily putting milk powder in everything, relatives being unsupportive or ill-supplied, or restaurants not thinking they even need to provide a vegan option for some reason). when it comes to my daily meals, in 8 years living a vegan lifestyle, I have never once struggled to secure a filling and nutritious vegan dish for myself to eat.
the truth is, it is completely possible to eat an enormous variety of food on a vegan diet, including fruits, vegetables, pulses and grains - and it is also completely possible to derive all the nutrients a human being needs to be healthy from this diet, provided you do a little research into the nutritional values of certain foods and make sure you're getting all your necessities. I shouldn't have to point out that there are many incredibly strong and healthy vegan athletes, including women, who have large amounts of body strength and muscle mass, perfectly equal to that of any other athlete or bodybuilder. a quick google search will show you many examples.
finally, veganism isn't a movement that is built upon "feeling bad for the animals". it is not simply attempting to answer the question of whether or not it is 'ethical' to consume animal meat for sustenance. the vegan lifestyle is, ultimately, a political boycott rooted in an animal liberationist stance: the idea that no living being should be treated as "property". the legal and cultural definition of animals as such has lead to incomprehensible amounts of animal abuse and suffering, such as: - complete limitation of freedom; imprisonment from birth - endless forced impregnations and sexual violation - a plethora of health complications and extremely low life expectancy - physical abuse and torture from farm and slaughterhouse workers - psychological distress, trauma and insanity - insufficiently humane slaughter methods that do not provide a quick or painless death
the fact of the matter is, the animal agriculture industry is just that - an industry. it is not concerned with feeding the population, it is concerned with turning a profit - and the way they do this is by enslaving animals, imprisoning them for their entire lives, and then brutally killing them and turning their body parts into products for consumers. this is not something to "feel bad" about - this is something to be horrified by, and furious about. veganism channels those feelings into action: everything from protests, targeted political activism, legal pursuits, industrial investigation and exposés, hunt sabotage, and even direct animal freedom action, such as that performed by the Animal Liberation Front. the vegan diet and lifestyle are just specific aspect of animal liberationist political action that an individual can perform.
many people naturally have very strong empathetic reactions when shown farm and slaughterhouse footage, which can clash very painfully with a lifetime of eating meat and defending those actions through cognitive dissonance and cultural conditioning's placating reassurance. however, I don't believe 'having empathy (or at the very least, compassion) for other living beings' is a particularly huge ask - anything else risks manifesting as blatant human entitlement and speciesism, which is already part of the mental plague that is contributing to our alienation from and destruction of the natural world.
you have already admitted feeling this compassion to some degree, which is further evidence of how natural and engrained it is in humans to care about other living beings. it is only our society in which animal agriculture & slavery has been normalized, industrialized and politically protected that keeps us from connecting with these feelings.
I would argue that 'women being raised to be overly empathetic' is an area of feminist thought that applies primarily to critcizing the expectation for women to have empathy towards men in any of the many relationships that can manifest between them (especially seeing as men are conditioned to have critically low levels of empathy in return), though there may be other and more complex areas where this issue can apply, which are certainly worthwhile discussions. in any case, there are even plenty of vegan people who talk about having low empathy levels, and even those who don't particularly care much for animals at all. even so, their ethical values as animal liberationists are what motivate them to take a stance and live a vegan lifestyle.
Why is it a controversial take to say women shouldn't prioritise a chicken's life over their own? Veganism is not feminist, full stop. I get it, I feel bad for the animals too, but the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, and as omnivores humans need animal products to be strong and not malnourished. Women are raised to be overly empathetic to anything other than themselves. You can't buy into this self-destruction, be on an EXTREMELY restrictive diet, and call yourself a radical feminist. I thought we were fighting diet culture here.
I will go to the gym and eat a steak for every woman that diets herself into being tiny and weak and skinny, don't @ me. A female human being is not a fucking squirrel. Be in a misogynistic cult if you want to, but don't shame other women for not joining it.

Think about if talia decided since Bruce adopted children they were her children now too. Ra loans everytime he has to update the family registry from Bruce's side.
So talia and dick hate each other. But when dick was in school and got sick, Bruce couldn't come, and alfred couldn't come at this point. talia was pregnant, like 6 months in ans in America, for some random craving. Dick had them call her. He wasn't sure the number he had for her was still working but it was.
Nurses:good after noon is this Richard Grayson Wayne's mother
Talia: ...yes...
Nurse: he is sick,we are asking you to pick him up since there are no other person available.
Talia: okay...
Talia shows up in her car and shocks Dick with her very pregnant belly and the two go to the hospital and them back to the manor were she took care of him until alfred came. Who convinced her to stay, until Bruce came and found out she was pregnant and tried to hide it from him. Before they started yelling at each other. Talia heard a cry and ran up to thr boys room and Dick looked he'd in the eyes and started sobbing. Bruce followed and the two cared for dick for a week.
.
With Barbara, talia used to spar alot, so when she lost her ability to use her legs talia, almost killed joker. She would have too but decided against it upon the girls wishes.
It was hard at first with she not wanting to do anything for days or not eating or sleeping. Burce didn't know what to do, the commissioner was in the same ball part. All they could do was support her and try to get her to do basic things. Even when she screamed at them for her having to use a wheel chair.
Talia came and sat down with her in a room and nobody knows what happened. They just know Barbara was crying in her arms when they went back in clinging to her clothes. Sometimes talia would walk with her and they didn't stop sparing no. After Barbara discovered she liked computers, they had spars by hacking each other nobody was going to give in even now thier are codes and viruses they are trying to de code every time they do they put a mark on a score board. Rules are
1. Not alowed to ask for outside help.
2. You must do the work with your own hands
3. Talk when it's too hard
4. Think about what would joker not do.
5.have fun.
.
Jason had always known he had Bruce and a mother he also knows his elder brother hates thier mother, loves her aswell but hates her. He knows he has another sibling because he's seen the baby that gets dropped off with gifts.
One day when alone at home with the baby, talia comes buy and sees him in the kitchen trying to make something to eat and fail.
Talia teaches him how to cook something simple and now the make meals together when ever she visits. Making dick come by more. One day he asked her
J:mom.
T:yes
J:dad and dick are fighting and I think it's because of me
T: ....why would you think that
J: I think it's because I'm robin
T:no dear, your dad is just bad at talking to people and your brother got it from him, he just hides it by being happy most of the time. When I first met him he was an angry boy and he still is.
Talia made and stayed for dinner forcing much to Alfred's joy Bruce and Dick to talk or so help her she would have them sleep in the dog house. While Bruce tried to argue she can't do that in his house. Dick knew better than to fight her because well she wad his mother. Talia slept in Bruce's room and he slept in a guest room and in the morning he got burnt food dick and Jason and alfred found this to be peak entertainment and if baby dami laughed nobody was upset this continues for 2 months then Bruce apologised. Bruce learned his wife could be more stubborn than him.
.
Cas shows up one day? Yea but talia immediately noticed when she walked in that there was a girl in the house. She went into the kitchen and looked at the ceiling.
T:girl get down and greet your little brother then call down the rest of who is here
Cass is shocked and did as told the boys rushed down the stairs when talia makes a mark on the black board to day she un did 4 viruses. Dick picked up baby damian and cas just watched like a cat how the daughter of ra blended so well within the world of the Wayne's. But didn't even try to go into the bat
When she and cass really bonded was when she had a nightmare, of her dad. She loves her dad. She understood why he did what he did but he also hurt her by doing it. She understood he loves her but it hurt so much in the end. She found herself sitting beside talia as she fed Damain.
T: I understand
C:[you wrong] she was still learning to sign
T:I do , my father isn't just like yours but they are similar.
C: [how?]
T:he does things that hurt me and damian I leave when it hurts my baby. He knows I leave because it will hurt my baby. I understand why he feels like he needs to do this, for the most part but it still hurts me. But it's hard to hate him when I love him too.
C:[...]
In the end Cassandra cried in talias side and talia ran her hand through her hair. Now w
Cassandra has a baba[Bruce] , a daddy, and a mama.
.
Tim was a surprise... talia had taken Damain into hiding in the aftermath of jasons death.not being able to let her son go she takes his body with an angry split with Bruce. It takes a few years until she came back there was a spoiler and a Robin.
Tim was injured at titans tower by Jason when talia showed up with a spoon in her hand and smcked the taller boy in the back of his head before scolding him in Arab for hurting his little brother.
She turned to Tim and sighed. "I'll see you at dinner. You will be at dinner."
She left no room for argument and Jason was pouting. Dick ws in the plane because she picked him up to watch his tolder brother while she wrongled her zombie son from hurting her Sleep deprived son.
T:"y-"
Talia :"I'm not asking I'm telling get your stuff and get in the plan before I hit you next"
Tim had never moved faster. He went into the plane and saw a baby in dicks lap and he looked at Tim and laughed
D:dami that's your older brother Tim say hi tim
Dami: hi Tim.
D:*squeals*
Tim flabbergasted sits down, Jason gets red in by his hair and the plan takes off. To Gotham.
D:"mom~¡!~¡! JASON HIT TIM AGAIN"
J:" you rat! Mom he's lying!!!!!!@!"
Tim:*confused boy blinking* "he...hit me"
J:"they are!!! Lying"
Talia:"If I hear anyone hitting anyone so help me god I'll turn this whole plane around!"
J:leans over to time with a glare and whispers "snitches get stitches"
Tim: I understand it now. "MAMA!"
Jason is yelled at for thr rest of the ride much to Tim's pleasure he grinned. Dick looked proud.
.
Her bonding with steph happened naturally, it didn't have an event it kinda just happened. They liked to watch t.v together and talia likes waffles surprising and steph didn't mind sharing.but now they have waffle day when ever talia gets to visit. (I'm lazy I've been wring this for 2 days I think I relapsing on bad eating habits)
.
Duke just needed a mom when he needed a mom. Someone to cry and talk to someone to hug him and tell him he's enough after all these years talia got pretty good at it too.

That's my Girl
Tumblr media
Jay Halstead x Reader
You've been with Jay since your daughter was a baby and he loves her like she was his own. When your ex winds up back in Chicago and comes looking to play dad Jay isn't backing down.
“Daddy” you heard Vivian giggle as Jay scooped her up, tickling under her arms. “How was your day, baby girl?” She went into telling him about preschool, stumbling over a few words here and there but he listened like it was the most important thing in the world.
Times like this you swore you fell in love with Jay all over again. You weren't sure how he'd handle the fact of you being a single mom the day he asked you out, especially considering at that time she'd barely hit seven months.
He handled it in stride, making some dates to include her and paying your sister to babysit (even though she'd do it for free) so some dates would be just the two of you.
Tumblr media
It took you months to trust him enough to open your heart, your ex Paul Victors cheated on you midway through your pregnancy. You had actually come in from the gender scan to find him in bed with another woman, the bed you'd bought.
Everyone at med was there for you, supporting you and keeping him from coming anywhere around you. When Paul had come in one day after you'd come back from maternity leave and wouldn't leave that was how you met Jay, Will called him.
_________________
Jay was everything your Paul wasn't. He was the type of man that could make you feel like everything was going to work out by giving you one of those smiles you adored. He always tried to show kindness where he could, to protect those who needed it. When his anger did flare it up it was never without reason and never pointed at you.
He was patient in the fact that you'd been hurt and that Vivian came first in your life. The first time you slept with him you were fairly certain he'd been more nervous than you.
The way he touched you, kissed you, whispered how beautiful you were…you knew then it wouldn't be long before Jay would own your heart completely.
_________________
The day Jay proposed to you he'd also made a promise to always be there for Vivian. Your wedding was in a few months and Jay was in the process of officially adopting her. Your stomach was in knots over the fact that you had to legally send a notice to Paul's last known address because he had signed the birth certificate.
Jay turned to look at you with a smile, Vivian dangling from his neck “What ya say mommy? Can we get pizza?” You nodded “Of course. If that's what little miss wants” he grinned and turned to sit her on her feet “Ok sweetheart. Go get your jacket” she grinned up at him “Ok daddy” and ran towards her room.
You watched her go then felt him pull you into his arms “You're overthinking Mrs Halstead” you cut your eyes up at him, his blue eyes holding you in place “I just don't want him messing up my life again. I'm happy” a smile slipped onto his face “You're engaged to a detective baby. You have all of the twenty first backing you. He won't come near you or her. The adoption will go through and you both will be Halsteads by the end of the year”
You shook your head “I love you Jay” he pulled you into a kiss, speaking against your lips “I love you too”
Tumblr media
You were walking out to your car, talking to Will. He was planning to come over for him and Jay to watch the game that weekend and was asking what food he could bring “Not for you and Jay, for my niece”
You laughed lightly “She has Jay's appetite” both of his eyebrows shot up “God help us” you were almost to your car but stopped in your tracks when you spotted the orange carnation on the windshield.
Will didn't notice the flower but knew something was wrong. “Hey, what is it?” He followed your line of sight and saw the flower “Who's that from?” He asked and you barely got out “Paul”
_____________
When Jay rolled up Hailey barely got the car to a stop before he was out. “Did he come near you? I sent Kev and Kim to pick her up. I'll fucking kill him”
He pulled you into his arms after visibly checking you for injuries. “I'm ok Jay just a little freaked out” he nodded “It's ok. I'll take care of it. I'll get Voight to put a patrol on her school, we'll alert hospital security and we'll keep an eye out for him”
“He's not gonna get near her or you” Hailey assured you with a smile. You nodded, laying your head over on Jay's chest.
Tumblr media
You were young when you got pregnant with Vivian and had done a lot of stupid shit. You'd been honest with Jay, of course but what if it was brought up in court?
What if your daughter's life was ruined because of decisions you'd made?
_______________
A few days later you got a call from Jay to meet him and Vivian's school. The patrol car had to stop Paul from entering. He'd ran before Jay got there however.
You stood in the middle of the floor intelligence used at the twenty first precinct holding Vivian in your arms. You knew you were safe here, she was safe but the thought of him trying to take her still had you shaken.
Voight walked up behind you and gently touched your back “Sweetheart, why don't you and her take my office?” You cut your eyes at Jay who nodded so you smiled “Thank you” and walked towards the office, closing the door behind yourself to sit on the leather couch.
____________
“We're finding this asshole right?” Adam asked as soon as the office door was closed and Jay nodded “Oh yeah but whoever finds him first doesn't lay a finger on him. You don't scare my fiance and threaten to take my daughter”
Voight nodded “Kim, stay here with her and Vivian. I've got to talk to a few people. If I'm needed to clean anything up, call me Halstead”
________________
“Paul Victors..drunk and disorderly…resisting arrest..minor possession charges…big jump to attempted kidnapping” Adam spoke as he walked up behind him in the bar they'd tracked him to.
“That's my daughter” he argued and Kevin's hand came to rest of his neck “Let's walk outside my man”
The two of them walked him out between them. Jay and Hailey stood against the wall. The moment he saw Jay he tried to run but Kevin pushed him towards Jay who grabbed him by the collar and slammed him back against the wall.
“You scared the woman I love, you threatened my daughter” Hailey kept an eye on the people around to ensure no one was paying too much attention while Kevin and Adam kept an eye on the bar.
“She's my dau..” Paul didn't get anything else out before Jay's fist hit his stomach “MY daughter” Paul coughed hard “You son of a bitch”
“Did you spit on my partner?” Hailey asked and Jay nodded, wiping his face like Paul had “He did”
Adam tsk tsked “That's assault Paul” and grabbed his cuffs.
Tumblr media
Paul was taken to holding while the unit came back up to find you, Kim and Vivian playing a game in Voight's office.
“Hey baby” Jay greeted, pressing a kiss to your lips then kissed Vivian's forehead “Hey baby girl”
You raised an eyebrow at him and he winked at you “C'mon. We gotta meet Voight” “What about her?” You asked, looking at Vivian.
“We got her” Kim assured you so you let Jay pull you to your feet. “Where are we going?” You asked him on the stairs. He whispered “Voight pulled a Voight baby. That's all you need to know”
Tumblr media
Voight called in a few favors he was owed. You and Jay ended up meeting with a judge in his chambers. “Jay if you sign here Vivian will officially be your daughter”
You felt his left hand slip around your waist as his right picked up the pen “I love you” he kissed the top of your head then leaned down and signed the paper.
Voight stood to the side, watching. “Congrats Jay” Jay smiled “Thanks Hank”
Hank looked at you “Now you just gotta get the Halstead last name” “What about Paul?” You asked and Jay shrugged “Platt took care of that. He's leaving Chicago. Only way to not face charges”
“I'm free?” You asked and Jay pulled you into his arms “We're free. Let's go get our daughter”

This is true - you forgot to mention the recruitment of SS veterans through Operation Bloodstone and famously the NATO/CIA joint support of neo-Nazi terrorism in Europe through Operation GLADIO/the stay-behind networks, which are known through parliamentary investigation in Italy and in Belgium and are suspected in many other places. Additionally, there is the support through the State Department, not just the CIA, of Nazi collaborationists in exile as anti-communist forces, whether the Banderite (as in, literally led by Bandera) Anti-Bolshevik Block of Nations or the gangs of Nazis in the World Anti-Communist League, and on and on. US, espescially through the security state, connections to nazis are manifold, and there is plenty of material here. But what's important is that that isn't Nazis being in the driver's seat of US policy, that is SOME nazis (not all - some collaborated with the USSR for various reasons, like the Socialist Reichs Party and their supporters discussed in the LA times article Brett linked above, or the circles around Yockey, or the satanists in the National Reneissance Party, and a few even aligned themselves with Mao's China, like the italian terorrist network Armato Nuclei Revolutionari, though idk if they had any actual links with the CCP. More aligned (ha!) with the nonaligned movement - the National Front here in the UK was very enthusiastic about Khaddafi's Libya to pick just one example. And so on, and so on, and so on. There are also examples of intelligence-aligned left wing groups - the British and Irish Communist Organisation is my favourite UK example, that then became Spiked! after the Cold War was over and MI6 funding dried up and through them they made up the circle that basically staffed Boris Johnson's administration, though my understanding is that they are much fewer (might just be because I have spent a lot more time learning about Nazi weirdoes though). All of this is true and known. However, the reason I made the post and what we seem to agree on, is that the US state - which is not Nazi despite being willing to use nazis to certain purposes, as we have both agreed - is by and large in the driver's seat (although the Nazis probably believe themselves to be manipulating parts of the state against its will/to their benefit, and mostly probably do think that they are authentic revolutionaries), the Nazis are not, though they do act against the interests of their bosses sometimes and d othings they don't want. A disucssion of these known facts, and the relationship of the current ruling classes with Fascists, is not made easier by someone walking in claiming that America is Nazi, when it clearly and obviously is not, even given all the above. Segments of the American state being willing to use Nazis in certain circumstances is not the same as the american state being controlled by those Nazis, which is the point of my original post. The reson I call it anti-semitic is because it pretends that it is possible to be Nazi without being anti-semitic, ergo that anti-semitism was not a driving factor of Nazism, which is such a deep misunderstanding of Nazism that it opens up the door for soft denial and therefore does the work for anti-semites. I will leave a note here saying that this is off top of my head, so some details may be wrong, but you should get the general picture. I added it to really emphasise how much I am aware of all of those links, and how much I still stand by the original statement.
I really hate the idea that the US represents a continuation of Nazi Germany that seems to have gotten some caché on sections of the Left (primarily admittedly the really idiotic ones). It is utterly ignorant of the structure of Nazi Germany, the relationship between capital and Fascism, colonialism and Fascism, and the role that Nazis played in the Cold War order (on both sides of the conflict, though more prominent on the Western side, at least in the form of Nazi collaborationists who then jumped on to the other anti-communist force after the Nazi train had gone and decided to become some kind of liberal democrats). It also profoundly misunderstands what Nazism is - if the country with the most Jews in the world is somehow Nazi and has been for 80 years, then I guess the fucking Nazis have stopped caring about the Jewish Question suddenly. It is edgy bullshit to make American teenagers feel better about a worldview that completely centres America, and it's fairly directly anti-semitic. Stupid as all hell.

How do you think one should go when trying to "fix" the narrative or make it less angstier? Because when it comes to season 1, I feel like it's easier, but when it comes to season 2, you sorta have the impression that you HAVE to let all the events play up as they are even if you want to make Jayce and Viktor reconcile earlier. For example, Jayce could have tried to show Viktor the truth as early as episode 6, but he doesn't and instead blasts him. Same with episode 8. And it makes me wonder just what exactly Mage Viktor told him. Like did he tell him to let things go exactly like that or did Jayce just assume they should. And this is mainly a peev of mine, but to be honest, when I saw Puppet Viktor on episode 8, I genuinely assumed Singed had already healed Viktor and got baffled to see he only did after Jayce rejected him. So, how do you think things would've gone if Jayce had accepted Viktor? Albeit in a "Only if you listen to what I say and think REAAAALLLY hard if that's what you still want". The most I can think of the top of ky head is Ambessa being down an army and Singed being disappointed in Viktor once again not following his example. What do you think?
I'm going to assume this is for fanfic AU purposes because I'm not super interested in litigating how S2 "should" have gone.
As for why did Jayce not try to reason with Viktor in 2.06, I think we have to infer that it wouldn't have worked.
The theory I go with is that the Hexcore was still controlling Viktor too completely at that point. Jayce could have talked until he was blue in the face or he could have used touch to show Viktor directly what the future would hold, it wouldn't matter.
I suspect that Jayce knew that even if he had gotten through to Viktor, Viktor wouldn't have had the power to throw off the Hexcore's influence either (we're going pure Watsonian here, Doylist the explanation is: we wouldn't have a story).
So at that point, Jayce doesn't tell the future through touch or words to Viktor because he needs Viktor but more important the Hexcore to be ignorant of the events that will be needed to truly destroy it for good.
My guess is that the sequence of events had to go like this:
Even if Viktor could be convinced at the commune, it wouldn't matter because the Hexcore was more powerful than him.
Viktor would need an alternate source of power in order to cast aside the Hexcore's influence.
The only sequence of events that get Viktor to a point where he wants to and can separate himself from the Hexcore and then destroy it are what we see in canon.
It requires 1) Viktor and the Hexcore to gain the power of the Anomaly that resides at the base of the Hexgate tower. Jayce's attempts to remove the cores and talk to him were only stalling actions for the critical moments needed to buy time for Ekko to wake up because
2) Ekko needs to throw a bomb at Viktor's head made from an Anomaly from an alternate universe that Viktor has no awareness about, so it truly surprises him AND the Hexcore.
The Anomaly cracks the outer shell around Viktor, the Machine Herald, which is actually a manifestation of the Hexcore's influence over Viktor.
Then Jayce's pleas and the information about the future can get through to Viktor, through the crack in the Hexcore's influence.
Then, with the power of the Anomaly and the rune in Jayce's wrist (which is in turn powered up by Wizard Viktor), Viktor and Jayce together can withdraw the Hexcore's influence from all the people who have been assimilated (thus rendering the puppets immediately inert), withdraw the tendrils of influence from the people who have been captured, and use the power of the Anomaly to erase the Hexcore from existence. Without that exact sequence of events, they wouldn't have the power to do so.
Had Jayce tried to warn Viktor in 2.06, the Hexcore would have realized the Anomaly has the power to destroy it. So Jayce couldn't tell him about the Anomaly then or the Hexcore would have avoided going there. The Anomaly gave power to Viktor as well as the Hexcore.
That said, it's still a very narrow path to victory, which is one reason I think Jayce still tried to tell Viktor not to go to the Hexgates, perhaps knowing it would only goad Viktor to go there sooner, as was required by the plan, OR perhaps he truly hoped against hope that he could talk Viktor out of this inevitable sequence, like when he tried to reason with him at the base of the tower, only to be shown over and over that Wizard Viktor is right, there is no way to get through to him before Ekko's bomb goes off and separates Viktor's consciousness from the Hexcore's goals even by a fraction.
Also remember, Jayce's promise to Viktor, the one he references in his speech, was that he would destroy the Hexcore. All of this, from the beginning, has been about destroying the Hexcore.
Viktor once free of the Hexcore's influence thanks to the bomb and the realization brought on by Jayce's plea, tries to destroy and withdraw its influence alone. Then Jayce steps in, and they destroy the Hexcore and withdraw its influence together.
I think a lot of people lost track of the fact that the Hexcore is embedded in Viktor's chest and still active throughout S2. One reason Viktor warned that it had to be destroyed is that he knew it had taken over his mind enough and was physically controlled him enough already, just from the transformation of his leg, that he knew he couldn't do it himself, the Hexcore would stop him.
This also explains why Viktor isn't trying to destroy the Hexcore anymore in S2 and why he suddenly believes in Glorious Evolution. He knew before it took him over that he wouldn't have the strength to fight it. His look of disappointment at Jayce in 2.02 is, I'd argue, the last flicker of his awareness that he's doomed to carry out its will, now that Jayce has made it a part of him. He has been taken over by it through Jayce's attempt to save his life.
Anyway, I hope this answers your question!
