There's a big rush for love in the marketplace because somehow our societies have packaged it so attractively and often quite so superficially that it pulls in almost every other Tom, Dick and Harry into this wild and bizarre chase - this insane chase for love. So what am I even proposing here - that people simply abandon their inherent nature to desire a little love from another human soul? No, not at all but the point I'm going to make here is that love has some prerequisites which is a subject not everyone speaks of and quite much ignored. There's a lot of inner work that needs to be get done before you even think of entering into the sphere of another human life. What was supposed to be a happy ride home will eventually turn out to be one disgusting ride to hell. So much pain, so much anguish, so much confusion and misunderstanding - all arising out of the simple reason that you have stepped into the arena of love without any proper preparations. What is there that you have to offer to the other person that will make their lives less miserable and more delightful? How much have you been able to even accept yourself and love your own companionship that you could now gift the same experience to the other? And while the scales have to be balanced, what is there in the other person that makes you think that they'll fit right into yourself - your crevices, your broken parts? There's just so much of recollection to be done thoughtfully, consciously and with total awareness before you step into the idea of loving someone so that you don't end up hurting both, yourself and the other, unknowingly. With all that said about the self preparations and the essential prerequisites of love - I must admit honestly that then there is also this thing about a love that happens like the blink of your eyes, in a single heart beat, your soul singing just at the sound of someone - leaving you a little baffled as to how that soulful penetration even happened. You're touched and you're changed forever!
