Here is the beginning of the lake house time loop story that I will never write, in which Henry leaves, and leaves, and leaves, and leaves.

He feels like the ground might crumble beneath him at any moment but Alex will be damned if he makes the same mistake twice.

Yesterday, just after midnight but before they'd gone to bed, Alex had led Henry away from the porch and down to the lake, had swum with him in the darkness, had been only seconds from opening his heart to him–when abruptly, Henry had ducked away under the water and then retreated back up to the house.

In the morning, Henry had been gone, only a few horribly neutral words in his handwriting left behind.

Today, Alex had blinked awake to find it was somehow just after midnight again, June and Nora and Henry and himself all lounging together on the porch once more, surrounded by the slow, lazy flash of fireflies and the familiar sound of crickets.

Henry smiles at him from the porch swing, tilting his head like he's trying to ask a silent question while June and Nora giggle at something on Nora's phone, but Alex isn't going to tell him again; he's got no fucking clue how or why he's getting a second chance at this day, this awful day, but he's not going to waste it, he's going to fix it.

They go to bed sometime after two a.m. and Alex doesn't say a word, does his damndest not to let his feelings show while they're putting on their pyjamas, while he's kissing Henry good night, or while he's curling into the safety of his arms beneath the quilt–

–but when Alex wakes a few hours later, Henry is gone all over again, only a note left behind.

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.

to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:

kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him

This... this is a whole different kind of psychic damage here. When nightmares got Marcille, we get to knew that her's biggest fear is outliving her friends. This isn't even canon probably, but look at this. This isn't a "I don't want my friends to die" kind of dream. This is a "I'm terrified of loosing my daughters, of something killing them, and being incapable of stopping it" kind of dream. It's so simple yet it explains perfectly the whole of chilchucks character. He loves, he cares, deeply. But he, or doesn't acknowledges, or doesn't know what to do with that knowledge.

Besides that. Someone had to wake him up after this. Imagine the devastation in this man after he wakes up. He just saw his three little babys murdered corpses (or maybe he saw them die, wich isn't better). He would possibly not talk about it, and that would worry the hell out of the party, because we'll, they see him all down and only one of them knows what he saw. Imagine being the one to pull him from that nightmare. Seeing this man, usually so composed, fuking staring with tears and terror in his eyes to the composes of what you can only assume are his daughters. It would be heartwrenching.

Launching Spite Club, a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, had taken a lot more time, energy, and paperwork than Alex ever could have imagined when he'd first dreamed up the idea of a fund with an extremely specific purpose: matching Prince Henry's charitable donations dollar-for-dollar, organization-for-organization... and then systematically exceeding them by twenty-five cents (local currency, obviously).

It had been a heavy fucking lift, all around, because for all that Alex had already known HRH Prince Henry was a snob, he had since learned he was also free and easy with his cash–at least when it was being donated to a good cause.

The only silver lining about Alex losing sleep over fundraising 24/7 for the past six months is that it's worked; they've donated a fuckton of money to organizations that would have been just scraping by without it.

After the first few months, Henry had clearly caught on, too, and started surprising Alex at every turn: case in point, two months ago, Henry had sent–and Spite Club had matched, then one-upped–a hefty donation to an LGBTQIA+ youth organization in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Now, somehow, Alex is on a plane over the Atlantic, sitting next to Amy, and trying not to think about what he's going to say when he actually meets Henry face-to-face.

The location I would put her in doesn’t exist in the game yet, but I tried to do a bit of a background.

Personally I would understand if Penelope doesn’t actually show up in Hades 2, there’s so much going on in the game already, buuuut if she was there….

I think there’s a lot of fun metaphor in unraveling the day’s weavings as a form of turning back the clock, hence “Witch of Unwinding”. Penelope isn’t referred to as a witch in any myths that I know of, but for various reasons I think it’s a fun change.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 16

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 93,923

3. What fandoms do you write for? Solely Red, White & Royal Blue at the moment, but my AO3 also has works for The Sandman. I have been thinking Dead Boy Detectives thoughts but I don't feel confident enough in the voices to jump in, so.

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I do! Sometimes it takes me a long time, though. I reply because I post my stories in the hope that someone will enjoy them; getting confirmation of that in comment form is something that I am thankful for and really appreciate about sharing creative endeavors. Also, I just love talking about the story!

5. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of, no.

6. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Nope! Sounds fun, would try.

7. What’s your all-time favourite ship? Nope! No favorites here.

8. What are your writing strengths? Dialogue, I like to think. Banter, but also just conversations, generally speaking. (Pun intended.) Humor. Depicting modernity in a kind of surreal but relatable way?

9. What are your writing weaknesses? Explicit introspection. I do a bit of it, but I tend to try to lead readers in the direction of characters' thoughts through their actions and what they're saying. It probably doesn't always work. Detailed descriptions are also not something that I write much; I'll happily read them, but I don’t often want to write them. Also: making decisions about plot, gross, ugh, not for me.
