Kneecap (dir. Rich Peppiatt).
[The] controversial West Belfast hip-hop trio, [...] known for rapping republican lyrics in their native Irish language, star in their own titular biographical film about their rise to fame and infamy. Set in 2019, [...] Peppiatt directs the plainly titled Kneecap with an energetic, riotous verve to its provocative, explicitly anti-UK material of rebellion.

RTÉ says Kneecap agreed not to wear pro-Palestine badges on The Late Late, but did anyway
RTÉ HAS RELEASED a statement clarifying that rap trio Kneecap had agreed not to wear pro-Palestine badges during their Late Late Show performance last night through their management, but then proceeded to wear them anyway live on air.
On last night’s Late Late Show, Kneecap performed their new single ‘Better Way to Live’ and then chatted to host Patrick Kielty.
Kneecap’s Mo Chara and Móglaí Bap wore a watermelon badge – it’s become a pro-Palestine accessory because its colours match that of the Palestine flag.
However, during the chat with Kielty, DJ Próvaí removed his jacket to reveal a Palestine sports jersey.
Kneecap’s Móglaí Bap then said, to applause from the audience, that the group wants to “use our platform to highlight the genocide that’s happening in Palestine at the moment”.
He said that over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed “by American weapons” in the conflict so far, the majority of whom are women and children.
He added: “I think we have to use this platform and this opportunity to appeal to Irish people to attend rallies and protests and to support the BDS movement, and to show solidarity with Palestine and hopefully one day Palestine will be free.”

Thanks for the message, Anon. 😃
Yeah… no…
Here are screenshots from your link:
The “picture” screenshot was taken from an IFTA red carpet interview by Eric Roberts and India Sasha, recorded Live on TikTok.
IFTA was interviewing Best Supporting Actor - Drama nominee Emmett J. Scanlan (Kin), as the full image shows.
Brian’s post 21 April 2024
So tell me... why would a Scotsman, who hasn't been in any IFTA-nominated production, and isn't presenting nor receiving an IFTA Award, be standing in the interview area on the IFTA red carpet?
He wouldn’t. (And the actual “Scotsman” in attendance walked behind the interview area, alongside the building, and straight into it, as previously noted here.)
So who might the tall blond man in the blue circle ⬇️ standing behind India be? And what is the wee bit of orange in the orange oval behind Eric?
Could Blue Circle Man be part of Kneecap’s entourage?
It’s more likely he is. Kneecap was at the IFTAs, after all.
And why the balaclava? 😂
Remember… DJ Próvaí’s signature green-orange-white balaclava hangs backstage at Bowery Ballroom. He began wearing the disguise when the band was first taking off, and he was still employed as a teacher. "It didn't stop him from being thrown out of the school," says Móglaí Bap. Adds Mo Chara: "It was the worst-kept secret in Ireland." — Rolling Stone

Saw Kneecap last night with some friends. (Like, the band. That the movie is about.) I'm not one to have photos taken of myself, but I did get a picture of my friends with them (faces obscured for their protection).
Very shortly into the show, they set up a Palestinian flag on their set. DJ Próvaí would later swap out his Irish flag balaclava for a Palestinian one.
They did not hold back to shit all over Israel and its supporters, which was nice.
Oh yeah, they seemed deeply amused by this enormous fucking slice of pizza some kid had. In Mo Chara's words, "Now that's fuckin' America right there."
It was probably the most insane set I've been to. And the smelliest. But fun as hell.

I was watching Kneecap (the movie) and i couldn't help but get distracted by think who knits DJ Próvaí's Irish flag balaclava. And then I was watching an interview and he seems to have a different (thinner but more complicated) one. So is the one in the movie bought online and the other one was made for him?

#thots on northern Irish hip hop group kneecap?
What I've heard of their music is fun and I keep meaning to get into it but as of now I don't rly listen to them. and I wanted to watch the movie but I've not done that either because of my stupid as fuck job. so if the joke about dj próvaí and lana del ray wearing a bag from famed texas supermarket chain HEB on her head last night didn't land it's because I'm a fake fan and a poser btw

Kneecap | intense energy in one-of-a-kind film
A chaotic combination of humour, hip hop, and politics, Kneecap really is one of a kind. Directed by Rich Peppiatt, starring Móglaí Bap, DJ Próvaí, and Mo Chara, this film looks into the crazy lives of these charismatic and unique individuals and their even more unusual story. Kneecap has recently been released in cinemas and I urge anyone and everyone to see it, no matter your usual taste in…

The irish times dropped an article about kneecap and Paul flirting with them as well😂
Even though I don't really get what kneecap are trying to say by it, like the shorts he was wearing etc (what does it matter) ... anybody?
“Paul Mescal was flirting with us in the back of the [cinema] tent,” says DJ Próvaí. He pauses before making a scandalous revelation. “He was wearing Adidas shorts, not GAA shorts. It’s all a farce.”
Yeah, I am not sure why they dropped that in the middle of an interview. Came out of nowhere judging on the way it's editing. I hope the writer brought it up.

Jahrhunderts - oder wie die Band es einfach ausdrückt: “Baby making music, not much else to define here, inspired by 90s garage tunes.”

A night out with Kneecap, Ireland’s political hip-hop rebels
[ad_1] It’s not even 8:30 on a Monday night, and already a good quarter of the roughly 200-person audience crammed within the converted courtyard that is Bardot’s stage for the weekly School Night concert series is bouncing around, drenched with sweat like it’s an all-night warehouse rave. “C.E.A.R.T.A.,” they all scream in unison, spelling out […]A night out with Kneecap, Ireland’s political…

[Album+Video] KNEECAP kündigen Debütalbum "Fine Art" an!
„You walk into a pub at the start, there’s someone offering you a drink, there’s a singsong… really, it’s us taking you by the hand and leading you into our world.”
There were no words for drugs in the Irish language so we had to invent them. We’d recycle old words and apply them to modern things.”
„Towards the end of recording we hit a proper wall and this is the result”, erzählen KNEECAP über den tuckernden Old-School-Hip-Hop-Groove, der auf die erste Singleauskopplung "Better Way To Live" (feat. Grian Chatten) folgt. “Our mental health was being tested and we said f*ck it it we’re doomed to mental torture we want to have some money to get through it. We’ve had enough of it while being broke round Belfast.”
Tracklist "Fine Art": 01. 3CAG (ft. Radie Peat) 02. Fine Art 03. I bhFiacha Linne 04. I’m Flush 05. Better Way To Live (ft. Grian Chatten) 06. Sick In The Head 07. Love Making 08. Drug Dealin Pagans 09. Harrow Road (ft. Jelani Blackman) 10. Parful 11. Rhino Ket 12. Way Too Much
