#Having a great time btw I've just been chased across a near sea of miasma by stal riders and more! 10/10 nearly died in a high speed chase #Made it out relatively unscathed which is truly amazing lmao #Spoilers ahead: I have had the funniest time doing the great plateau quest chain. Once I sucked it up and made nice with the creepy statue.#He's(?) been alright. Fair trader. Good deals. I've mostly been terrorising kohga in between absolutely failing to craft working vehicles X #His new boss fights are so much easier than the first one lol. Less fun I'll admit but the music is groovy. You can probably make a #Machine and try and dog fight him but with few exceptions the turning circles are decrepit so I just stuck to mild dodging and shooting him #And running over to hit him some more. Kinda bland for a boss fight I'll say. Could have done with a lot more pizazz. It's kohga come on.#Anyway I do feel kinda bad because apparently he's been stuck down there for however many months/years and I AM kinda cheating with the arm #After the first fight he fled to the gerudo mine and the steward very nicely showed me how to get there but never underestimate #My procrastination because I'd already found it by just exploring so I just teleported. when i said that mha ripped off naruto (which i said only to piss off mha stans anyway) I didn't mean to sound like i was praising naruto. it was actually more like a sigh of disappointment, a reaction to seeing that all the problems that naruto had as a show transpired trough mha too and i was tired because watching naruto was enough for me but then i realized that my problem actually is that i can no longer stand watching shonen anime and i chose not to tire myself by cringing at the repetitive tropes and cliches anymore

#demon slayer falls under the same category sadly #actually it was more a combination of these 2 that made me realize that i had enough of this genre #me judging other shonen having as reference only naruto #but look! i watched both mha and demon slayer and my personal point was proven that i would get bored by them #(with the exception of some rare moments that were really good in mha but the bad and cringe moments made me forget abt them)#like i remember crying bcs this dude who trained deku died but then i remembered that a few episodes earlier he ''punished''#one of his female students by tying her up a ledge and tickling her with a feather :|#LIKE WHY DID YOU NEED TO PUT THAT IN THE STORY? HORIKOSHI OR WHATEVER THE MANGAKA'S NAME IS #WHY YOU FELT THE NEED TO ADD THAT IN???#and then you tried to make me feel sorry for the guy too?#that was such a jiraya death moment like they were playing it a sad but all i could think abt was ''rip bozo''#not saying that other anime don't have cringe moments. even moments that i had to skip because of how gruesome they were #but they sorta make sense in the big picture of the story? but other characters experience it too not just a category of people? idk #also it's funny how pissed mha stans get for having their show insulted like #when i tell ppl that my fave anime/manga are evangelion; black lagoon #and berserk they look at me like i deserve to be put in an electric chair #like they are right but at the same time i find it funny and i rly don't care #but these guys always go bananas if you insult their fav show as if you broke the geneva convention #i'd say that it's because the majority of the fans are children but i know for a fact that they are not 😭

And I’m probably the only one but I don’t really think the end of Banana Fish is sad lol

I think it’s the happiest it could be.

That’s the happiest someone like Ash could be, there was nothing else for him, he couldn’t possibly go to Japan because all he would do is endanger Eiji. He couldn’t keep living in New York because there was nothing for him there. So in that moment he was the happiest he could possibly be. Eiji loved him and that’s all he needed.

He was happy for the first time without anything bad happening.

And yea he had a moment of illusion when he was running towards he airport because he thought that maybe he could have more. But being stabbed brought him back to reality, that was his reality, that type of thing would always follow him around, and he didn’t want to bring that to Eiji.

He climbed way too high and there he couldn’t really turn back at that point. So he just let go. And he was happy when he did, probably for the first time in his life.

#banana fish #the leopard part is my favorite in the whole story if you can’t tell #I’ve seen people saying he died for eiji #the fuck he did #he didn’t go to Japan for eiji #but he didn’t die for eiji #also not sure if it was entirely a suicide #because he was severely injured and it was the 80s so he didn’t have a fucking cellphone #and yea he could go up to the lady in the library and ask her to call an ambulance #but when did ash ever ask for help lmao #cmon now #he felt like it was inevitable #so he just let go

I do sometimes wonder if people here think that if a billionaire dies their wealth disappears or gets redistributed, or if a ceo dies their company suffers a massive blow. But nothing happens, actually. They die and their will is executed, transferring their billions in assets to their family members. Sometimes the state gets a very small percentage in tax revenue, some of which funds services for regular people. The boards of companies find a new person to be ceo and steer the ship of exploitation. Individual rich people dying has 0 effect on anything. The systems are way bigger than that.
