I think it’s the happiest it could be.

That’s the happiest someone like Ash could be, there was nothing else for him, he couldn’t possibly go to Japan because all he would do is endanger Eiji. He couldn’t keep living in New York because there was nothing for him there. So in that moment he was the happiest he could possibly be. Eiji loved him and that’s all he needed.

He was happy for the first time without anything bad happening.

And yea he had a moment of illusion when he was running towards he airport because he thought that maybe he could have more. But being stabbed brought him back to reality, that was his reality, that type of thing would always follow him around, and he didn’t want to bring that to Eiji.

He climbed way too high and there he couldn’t really turn back at that point. So he just let go. And he was happy when he did, probably for the first time in his life.

I just know you would receive “gifts” from Katsuki all the time. They’d be little things to make your life easier that you didn’t even know you needed.

You like to read at night to unwind, but sometimes it’ll be a really good book so you want to stay up reading it. The thing is you don’t wanna bother Katsuki cuz you know he has a strict bedtime. This means often times you’ll stay a little longer in the living room reading as to not bother him.

One night you’re getting ready for bed when you see a box next to your bed.

“Hey Kat, is this yours?”, you say loud enough for him to hear you in the bathroom.

He peaks his head out the door and says, “No, I ordered it for you.” And then goes back to what he was doing.

You sit on the edge of the bed and open it up. It’s a reading light with a dampener so you can adjust the brightness.

He comes dragging his little slippered feet towards his side of the bed.

“Now you can keep your ass in bed. Tired of waking up and you being asleep on the couch. I’m an old man, I can’t keep carrying you to bed.”

You look at him with a bright smile on your face.

“You know you can just say, you like me being in the bed with you while you’re sleeping. You know, because I’m your big bad protector and I make you feel safe.”

“There is no talking to you sometimes you know that?”

It’s winter time and you always have your gloves on because you HATE your fingers being cold. The only problem is of course you have to remove said gloves to use your phone when you’re out and that SUCKS.

You’re out with him one day and you’ve been texting back and forth with Mina because her and her girlfriend are in an argument and she of course comes to you about it.

You are always there for your friend so you’ve been removing and putting on your gloves over and over again until Katsuki can’t stand it anymore.

You’re outside on a bench waiting for him while he runs into some shop when he comes back out he snatches your phone out of your hand.

“What the hell? I’m usin-“ you start shouting at him.

“ give me those shitty gloves and put these on. I’m sick of watching you struggle.”

When you look down you see a pair of gloves in your favorite color.

“How are these any different from the ones I have now, Mr. Know-it-all”

He smirks at you, “These gloves are thicker than those thin ones you use AND they work on smart phones.. so yea. I do know it all.”

“Oh…. Well thanks I guess” you murmur lowly.

“Now you can talk Racoon eyes through her mental breakdowns without getting frost bite in your fingers.”he says then hands you back your phone. “She deserve better than that idiot anyways. Don’t why she keeps putting up with it.”

Katsuki is leaving for a mission today and you’ve been so gloomy. He gonna be gone at least 3 days, maybe even the whole week.

You’re been wrapped around him like ivy since you woke up this morning.

“Listen woman, I have to go. You do this every time.”he says with his arms wrapped around you waist pulling you even more flush against him.

“You should clone yourself or something. Who am I gonna cuddle with now?? And who is gonna cook for me?? I’ll die of starvation before you get back. Is that what you want. To come home to a dead girlfriend???”

“You are so damn dramatic. Cuddle with the damn plethor of plushies you have in my goddamn bed. And as far as food… you won’t starve. You’ll just eat out everyday and I’ll come back to you complaining you’ve gained weight when you look the exact same.”

“I do not.”, you start to object.

“Yes you do. Which is why I made a few meals and froze them.” He says all smug, cuz he knows that would surprise you.

“You what??” You ask looking up at him with wide eyes.

“There’s a pot pie and dumplings. I even stored a lasagna in there.” Then his phone buzzes letting him know his ride is downstairs.

“Ok I gotta go. I love you.” And he bends down to give you a deep kiss. “Be safe. Call Eiji if you need anything and try not to burn the house down before I get back.”

“I love you too. Come back to me in one piece please.”

He smiles at you, “always”

He kisses you one more time and then heads to the car.

You go directly to the fridge to see the frozen meals he left you. And not only are the packages all neatly but he’s left the heating instructions on top for you.

To say there were tears shed would be an understatement.

Kirishima

Your period decided to pay you a visit yesterday afternoon. It was abrupt but luckily you had been able to sense it before you bled through any clothes. You just patted yourself on the back for catching it before having to do the walk of shame to the washer with one pair of stained jeans.

You knew your second day was going to be a crime scene so you had gone the extra mile with precautions. You made sure to wear an overnight pad along with some thicker underwear that would assure that nothing would ��move around” while you slept. You topped it all off with some warm sweatpants. It was January, you could use the extra warmth anyways.

With all the extra precautions taken, you were sure that you would be just fine. You were too confident…

As the sun shined through the sheer curtains of you and your husbands shared bedroom you groaned as you attempted to turn away from the window. But, something caught your attention just before you could go back to sleep. You felt it, and you knew it was on the back of your sweatpants. No doubt it was on the white sheets you had insisted on getting.

As your eyes widened in horror of what had just happened to you, you slowly turn your head to look at your husband who slept peacefully. In 5 years of dating and 2 years of marriage you had never ever had this happen, at least not while in bed together.

So why now?!

As you pondered what to do, you heard your husband’s soft snoring come to a pause and you whipped your head over to see him opening his eyes while stretching.

“Ah” he relaxed after letting go of his stretch “Good morning beautiful” he sleepily smiled at you and you couldn’t find the words to respond. Your mind was too preoccupied.

“Eiji, I think I should wash the sheets” you shamefully tell him “No need I washed them yesterday” he yawns and sits up

“Yeah but I think I should just wash them again” you tell him “Oh? Why?” He looks confused and you look like you want to die on the spot “Uhm well…” you look away “You see the thing is..” you nervously laugh

Then it clicks for him. “Oh my gosh babe!” He smacks himself on the forehead for not catching on sooner “No! Don’t you worry about that! I’ll go run you a warm shower and I’ve got the sheets!” He frantically runs to the master bathroom to run you a relaxing shower

“Honey it’s okay I can-“ you begin but he cuts you off “Nonsense, you are a woman dealing with something so unfortunate. What kind of a husband would I be if I didn’t make things easier for you?” He questioned picking you up bridal style and carrying you to the bathroom “Eiji!” You exclaimed “don’t touch my butt! You might get blood on your hands” you warn him and he just laughs “Relax, nothing about you is gross, my love” he kisses your forehead before leaving you to have some privacy

Bakugo

You were always on top of tracking your cycle. Which is how you knew that your period wasn’t supposed to be here for another 6 days! Wrong!

You groaned as your fiancés 4:30 alarm awoke you. “Katsuki turn it off” you grumble as you shuffle around in the bed as the annoying sound blared in the once quiet bedroom “Yeah Yeah shitty woman” you could hear the eye roll. “Have a good day I’ll see you later” you sleepily tell him and he makes his way to the other side of the bed where you slept to kiss your forehead

“See you tonight” he quietly tells you as he makes his way to the bathroom that was connected to your shared bedroom.

You hear the shower turn on and you attempt to go back to sleep but the sudden urge to pee washes over you. “For fucks sake” you groan in annoyance. You knew that your wouldn’t be as tired when you returned to bed now.

As you trudged to the bathroom you felt a gush. It was all too familiar and you panicked. Sprinting to the bathroom you flung the door open, interrupting Katsuki’s shower. You could care less, you opened the cabinet under the sink and grabbed whatever you needed before doing your business and going to apply the necessary supplies.

Then you saw it… the crime scene in your pajama shorts.

If it’s this bad in my shorts you ponder to yourself

“Oh fuck” you rush to apply your product and run out of the bathroom, pushing Katsuki out of the way as he attempted to dry off “What the hell?!” He scowled at you as you slam the bathroom door shut “Nothing!” He hears you say from the bedroom

It’s definitely not nothing and he knows that

As you quickly get to the bed you check and much to your dismay, there’s a stain of blood on your side. “Stupid light colored sheets” you grumbled as you quickly get the sheets and bedding into the wash before Katsuki can come out of the bathroom.

As you make your way back to the bedroom you see Katsuki make his way out of the bathroom in nothing but some boxers “Where’s the sheets?” He raises an eyebrow and you freeze

“I just felt like washing them” you lie and he knows it “Mhm well you should’ve thrown those shorts in there” he gruffly responded and you felt a pang of anxiety in your stomach. You had somehow forgot about the stained shorts you were still wearing

“Oh! Uhm-“ you look startled “Come here” he grabs you a pair of his sweatpants and some clean underwear from the closet “let’s go get you in the shower” he intertwines his hand with yours as you both walk to the bathroom

“You should’ve told me” he explains to you “I would’ve taken care of everything”

“I was embarrassed” you shamefully admit and avoid eye contact with the blonde as the situation was awkward enough for you

“Don’t be” he simply states “It’s a natural thing” he says as he puts your towel in the towel warmer and tossing in a steamer into the shower to relax you.

“At least you aren’t pregnant” he laughed and you elbowed him in response while rolling your eyes

Denki

You were just not having a good day. Everything was irritating you and you were having uncomfortable stomach pains. It almost felt like you were coming down with something. But you knew that wasn’t the case since you were fine in all other aspects. So, you just deemed it to be something you ate.

It was a rainy Friday evening and classes were done for the week which relieved you. The hero course was no joke. You were sore and had a massive headache. That’s how you found yourself walking to your boyfriends dorm with a blanket and stuffed animal in hand

You knocked on the door just to make sure you weren’t walking in on anything. But you heard your boyfriends voice on the other side of the door “No! Cover me! Kirishima I’m literally getting targeted!” He yelled and you shook your head as you walked in the dimly lit room. It was dark aside from his TV screen and purple led lights that were lined just below the ceiling

“Kami?” You say as you shut the door behind you and he glances at you before turning his attention back to the tv. He sat in a bean bag on the floor that had a bag of chips and was littered with soda cans and wrappers.

“Yes?” He looks at you “What can I do for my lovely beautiful girlfriend?” The electric blonde gives you a cheeky smile

“Well I-“ you start

“I am not a simp Ser-bro! You talk to Mina like that all the damn time!” He shouts into his mic and you heavily sigh and roll your eyes “Never mind” you scoff and go to lay on his bed

“Hey” he turns around and mutes his mic “What’s wrong honey?” He looks at you, concern lacing his features as you cover yourself up with his blanket and your own “I just need a nap” you say as sleep takes over you

“Rest up” he walks over and kisses your cheek “You deserve it baby” he softly says as he goes back to the game reminding himself to stay moderately calm and quiet so you could relax

About an hour later you were awoken by a loud boom of thunder outside. “Holy shit it’s really coming down out there” Denki says to who you assume was either Kirishima or Sero. It was practically pouring. This was one brutal thunderstorm.

“Denki?” You call out sleepily. “Oh good morning love!” He says not taking his eyes off the tv screen. “I’m gonna go use the bathroom” you grumble as you trudge to the bathroom still half asleep.

As soon as you sit down to do your business you catch a glimpse of it and it wakes you right up. “Oh shit” you hiss as you realize you’ve started your period and it’s all over your gym shorts even on your thighs a little. This was horrible and you weren’t even sure if Denki had any supplies for you

As you frantically check the cabinet under his sink you find your holy grail. A box of pads with a sticky note

Was written and you couldn’t help but smile at how sweet he was. As you cleaned yourself up, you came to a haunting realization. If it was this bad on your shorts… what did his sheets look like?!

You wash your hands and rush out of the bathroom to subtly check the sheets. There was no sense in making a scene if there was nothing there. You held your breath as you checked his sheets and much to your dismay there was noticeable stain on the sheets.

“Uhm Denki, can you mute the mic for a second?” You ask and he happily obliged. “What’s wrong?” He asks you as he turns around “I need to go back to my room to get some new clothes” you grit your teeth in embarrassment “oh okay don’t be long!” He grins as he turns his attention back to his game. He was so oblivious and you were grateful for that at a time like this.

You quickly rush down the hall to get a new pair of shorts and underwear. You go to your bathroom to clean yourself up a bit more and then you quickly make your way back to your boyfriends dorm hoping that he would take your word for it when you said you drooled on his sheets or something when you go to put them in the wash.

“I’m back I-“ you stop dead in your tracks when you see the sheets gone “oh hey honey” he casually says as if nothing has happened. How could he act so chill about that?! You were sure he’d be grossed out!

“Did you take the sheets out?” You swallow thickly with anxiety “Yeah they needed to be cleaned anyways” he shrugged “I hope you don’t mind them not being there if you wanna go lay down” he smiles warmly at you “But I-“ you start to speak in a confused manner

“Oh! I have stuff for you under my sink! And I have some candy in my mini fridge if you’re craving something sweet. Or! You can have some of my chips!” He offers

“Denki I bled on your sheets!” You exclaim “How are you so chill about this?!” You frantically question him. “Oh, I didn’t bring it up because I didn’t want to embarrass you” he looks like a lost puppy, not sure if what he did was the right thing.

“Denki I love you so much” you exclaim as you let your emotions go haywire and pull him into a tight embrace

“I love you too” he laughs and hugs you back, taking a moment away from his game. It doesn’t matter if he gets killed in the game, he would risk that just to be with you.

“I also have ibuprofen and a heating pad under the sink. I don’t know if you need those but Mina says they’re a holy grail!”

banana fish review!

this show is “start here” by caitlyn siehl animated.

(spoilers ahead!)

first things first: the animation was amazing! everyone act surprised! i haven’t been to new york in god knows how long but i think it captured a lot of its charm and not so charming parts well. i thought the pacing was pretty good. definitely got kinda slow at times, but with the heavy content, the tempo helped ease the story. every character was well fleshed out, the plot was complex and entertaining, and deeply thoughtful. (bring back 24 episode seasons!)

now i’m really gonna go on a tangent here: ASH LYNX. what a character. obviously a very tragic end, but one that i think he’s satisfied with. everything about his story is tragic really. he wasn’t made for the world he was forced into. he wasn’t a beast, a leopard, or a peacock— he was a boy who wanted to survive. he was soft and kind and tender, but he needed to prove his value in a dangerous world.

it hurts the most when ash talks about eiji. how he wanted something real, someone who only wanted his company and nothing else. how ash could barely stand who he’d become, but he would do it all for eiji. and while everyone feared him, he found a peer who was innocent and curious and wanted to protect him and not be protected.

it hurts because he’d rather love and die than hate and rule. how at the end of it all, ash would’ve gone with eiji. but instead of fighting again, he went back into the library to finish reading his letter. (because he believed deep down, he didn’t deserve eiji.)

but eiji is so unique. stupidly brave at times, entirely earnest, and tries his very best to understand ash. when ash said he needs him because he has everything he doesn’t… that one hurt. he doesn’t exist for ash’s salvation, but eiji wouldn’t mind it either.

also wanna say how sick and twisted it is they compare ash to a peacock. all feathers, beautiful, but can’t fly well. and what made him so enamored by eiji? he saw him fly.

this show really twists the heart strings! i can see why it has such a loyal fan base. long live yearning and soulmates!!!

so what if the mist is actually… *drum roll* a sort of limbo for the characters

In some of the character stories they go to the most a little bit before they’re hinted to die, like Cora, she was running away from her father after he attacked her. She likely would’ve died had it not been for the mist. But what if she ALREADY DIED? oh and for Amari, the dude was about to die in the plane crash buttt he didn’t because of the mist. This type of situation occurs a few more times with other characters

Eiji and Jun (Got into a car crash. Didn’t die because they were transported)

•Seoung (could’ve died/got possessed in the main timeline because of the ritual. Didn’t because of mist)

•Eman, Aaaqil, Callum, and Yronica (Could’ve gotten killed by principal had it not been for mist)

•mamo (could’ve died from the bus crash. She didn’t but then got transported to mist)

•Dakota (could’ve gotten ran over. Got misted instead)

• Parker and Gavin (almost crashed, didn’t. But got misted)

•Kyle and Serena (not exactly sure about this one but I think they could’ve died to Cole had they not been transported)

•Sarah (drowned, got transported)

•Emil (could’ve died from either getting kidnapped or his wounds. Got misted)

•Lyndon (his story is sort of vague but either two things could’ve happened, he could’ve died from the guys or hopping overboard and drowning)

•Janitor (died from the fall down the stairs)

but as you may notice, most of these aren’t deaths, and some of them are. They are more like near death experiences. So I think that mist isn’t like a normal limbo where people go when they die, but it’s half that. Simply a phenomena that occurs triggered by near death and death experiences from people. So like a pseudo limbo, though I don’t really have an explanation for characters like Taylor who didn’t die or have a near death experience. I might expand on this idea later but it’s an interesting thought. Mist is definitely more than it looks on the outside.

Summary: Bakugou does not appreciate flirting. Bakugou is also not fond of listening to the heartbroken Denki’s nonsense.

Holly shit, you definitely haven’t had enough coffee for this conversation. You are also a foreigner. You have no idea how offended you should be right now.

To be fair, we are talking about Dynamight here. This word sounds like a praise from his filthy mouth.

“So, this is the updated database.” You sigh into the silence and sit down by your laptop. Your place is in the far corner of Bakugou’s office, almost opposite his own fancy-pants desk.

As you concentrate on signing in, you can feel Bakugo’s breath on your neck. Can he not bring his bloody chair over and sit down next to you?!

“While in different circumstances I would be more than happy to have you so close to my face, I find your closeness quite unpleasant and slightly inappropriate right now, boss.”

Well… you shouldn’t have said that.

“What the fuck is your problem?!” Says the now tomato red faced explosive hero, clearly not having as much fun as you are right now. Fuck the coffee, making Bakugou uncomfortable is your new favorite part of your morning routine. “Do you have a crush on me or something?!”

“I mean, you actually look quite handsome when you like, shut up. But as that never happens, the answer is no, I do not have a crush on you, I’m afraid.”

For your surprise, he does not lash out on you. Instead, he rolls his eyes and squats next to you to give you some personal space. What have you done? Is Bakugo broken again? Will he play the fake dead card and hide from his embarrassment as he did the last time? Is this how he copes with things?

Where did you leave your coffee?!

“Yeah, I heard that line before.” He sighs and waits for you to start your demonstration, but fuck that, you are really curious right now.

Is he… self conscious about this? Is Bakugo actually capable of human feelings? Did you just tear open a barely mended wound from the past?

You might be the second biggest asshole after Katsuki, but even you can feel ashamed of your own words sometimes.

“Who… said that to you?”

And now you are stuttering. Great.

“Someone in High School. I haven’t shut up ever since.” Grins the blonde and you can’t help but roll your eyes. He was faking it. Of course he was. You were about to say sorry yet here he is, grinning like a wild animal, all calm and collected, like he wasn’t about to die of embarrassment 30 seconds ago. He won this fight and he got you good.

“You are such a dick.”

“Yep, that’s me. Get used to it.”

Haha. Dynadick.

Jesus, where is your coffee again?

Loud laughter fills the room as Mr. Katsuki rolls on floor, hyperventilating.

The menace might be a pain in the ass, but her red face when she realized she said this out loud was worth waking up for.

“I didn’t mean to say this out loud, goddamit.” The menace squeaks and oh boy, Mr. Katsuki is having the time of his life.

The loud commotion made Kirishima appear in the door as well, and Katsuki can’t get over the pure dread on the Menace’s face so he decides to push it until there’s nothing left but pure mortification.

“She called me Dynadick, Eiji. Dynadick.” Whines the hero on the floor with tears in his eyes. Kirishima is puzzled, he clearly has no idea if he should laugh with his best friend or try his best to save his poor new colleague from her misery; she clearly spoke out loud again, just how she did on her interview.

Is there a way to do both? He kinda wants to laugh.

“I can’t be close to her face because it’s inappropriate but she can call me, her boss, Dynadick. She’s such a hypocrite.”

“IT WAS A FUCKING ACCIDENT, GODDAMMIT!”Stands up the Menace (what was her real name again? Mr. Katsuki has no idea and he definitely does not care enough to ask) and slams her tiny arms on the top of the desk. As the desk slowly shakes and breaks in half, she points at the laptop in the middle of the rumble on the floor. Well, at least the laptop will not need replacing. That can’t be said about the poor table. Rest in peace, brother. What a way to go. “GO AND CHECK THE DATABASE ALONE YOU MISERABLE FUCK, I’M GOING TO A PUB!”

“It’s 7:30, darling. AM.”

Oh, poor Kirishima.

“No shit, Sherlock!” Barks back the Menace and leaves the building, leaving poor Kirishima with a mentally unstable Bakugou who’s still laughing on the floor like a maniac.

“Can you guys at least try to not break something every day? Our budget might be big, but we will eventually run out of money.”

“It was so fucking worth it.” Cries the blonde, with no remorse in his trembling voice.

This will be a long day. Kirishima hopes Y/N will be back by the afternoon so he can make sure she’s fine and not resigning on her second day.

Bakugo has the same hopes, but for different reasons; he’s already plotting his next mischief, and a drunk Menace sounds like the perfect target to get his daily entertainment.

Later that day…

The whole office jumps in unison when the main door slams shut after you. You definitely owe Kirishima an apology and you certainly hope you still have a job and you won’t be asked to leave - you did run away without a warning and you did go to a pub; in broad daylight, in the middle of your shift. On a positive note tho, you already sobered up.

“Y/N! Are you okay? Do you want to talk?”

Of course he is all over you the moment you walk in. Of course HE feels bad while the main culprit is happily sitting in his office, probably drinking YOUR chai tea latte. Nevermind.

“I’m sorry. I’m really really sorry, boss. I just needed a breather. I’m fine. I’m back. I won’t cause any more trouble… well… today.” You blush and look away to the other direction. You might have hundreds of quirks under your sleeve, but somehow, non of them could cure your inability to lie.

Kirishima only snickers on your response and gives you a tiny hug. He’s so precious, goddamit!

“I appreciate your honestly and please, don’t worry about it. It will get easier as the time goes. I’m just happy you are still here and willing to take the responsibility for your actions.” With a tap on your shoulders he lets you make your way to your office.

You can hear chatter coming from the other side of the door. Is someone… crying? Well, it’s definitely not Dynamight as you can hear him grumbling aggressively in the background, clearly not happy about the sudden outburst of this man. Who’s stupid enough to go to Dynamight with his problems? This guy definitely has a death wish or he is an absolute idiot.

As you open the door to take a little look, you see a blondish-yellow haired guy in a leather jacket.

Oh.

He is indeed an absolute idiot, but in a really nice way.

“First of all, I would dump you 100 times too if I would be forced to live with your annoying ass. Second of all, why the fuck do I need to listen to your nonsense? Don’t you have friends?!” Shouts the blonde, making the other blonde cry even more.

“You are my friend…”

Okay, you can’t listen to this shit anymore.

“Well, I’m sorry for eavesdropping on you two, but… Mr. Dynamight, you are an absolute asshole. This man is clearly depressed and heartbroken, can you at least listen to him?! He might be here because he has no one else to go to, did you think about that?! Don’t kick someone who’s already on the floor!” There is an almost silent “oh fuck off” coming Bakugou but you respectfully ignore it and you sit down next to the crying man on the sofa. “My name is Y/N darling, I’m the asshole’s new assistant. Please, don’t listen to him. You are always welcome in this office in the time of need. I can listen to you. What happened?” This is clearly a cry for help, bless his little broken heart. This poor yellow haired man just makes you want to protect him and talk to him about the magical powers of a silver shampoo.

Because this guy needs it.

“Hi, I’m Kaminari Denki.” Sniffles the guy. “I got dumped by my girlfriend Jirou for the twentieth time. I did nothing. Is my existence such a bother to everyone?”

“Yes, it is, now leave.” Comments the asshole of the century, and nope, you can’t do this anymore.

“If you say a single fucking word while I talk to this man, I’ll hang your virgin balls on the nearest lamp post and I’ll blow them up so well, not even the best cleaning brigade in Japan can get rid of them.” You give Bakugou a threatening look and start focusing on the now shaking man on the sofa.

“You are a lovely human being. You might be a bit louder than most, you might annoy some people, but you have all the rights to exist. You just need to find the right people to be with. Also, sometimes people don’t appreciate what they have until they loose it, so what I would do if I were you, I would go home, tell my girl that I’m okay with her decision and I would leave for a few days or weeks to give her some space. Trust me, if she loves you, she will come back to you. If not, there will be someone better who will appreciate you as you are. Don’t underestimate yourself, just because you are different. If Dynamight can exist, so can you.”

Needless to say, you managed to break this man with your words, but that’s fine. Sometimes, you need to completely fall apart to be able to put yourself together in the right way.

As this man you just met smears all his saliva and other disgusting bodily fluids all over your shirt, you sigh into the void. Your life is an absolute joke but if this little conversation did something to help another person, then you don’t mind it that much. At least you made a new friend today, a quite useful one at that. He might come in handy when your phone is out of fuel.

“That last part was unnecessary.” Scoffs your boss, but he can’t deny that even he was a bit moved by your kind words.

“I had to prove my point somehow.” You smile cheekily and stroke Kaminari’s hair to entertain yourself for the time being. “Well, this is definitely enough drama for one day, let’s bury the hatchet for today, Mr. Bakugou. I also told Kirishima I won’t cause any more problems today.”

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, weirdo.” Bakugou rolls his eyes but he indeed stays quiet for the rest of the day.

You might just be a bit sensitive after all this love drama, but you swear you can feel the change in the air around you two.

Will it stay this way? Probably not; but you can’t help but think back on your words from the morning; Bakugou is indeed quite handsome when he shuts the hell up.

So, my little self-ship headcanons with Katsuki <3 thanks @Bakubunny for the idea! (Also for some reason it’s refusing to actually link her page! This is dumb sometimes tumblr is so stupid, will play with it again later 🤦🏻‍♀️)

- K so let me start my saying that in my little pretend world, UA is a college. Here’s my logic. These guys are kids, and honestly I have to remind myself when I’m reading the manga and stuff because they’re going so through so much trauma at such a young age 😭 and if I’m also gonna be going to UA I’d much rather be going after I’m more emotionally developed just sayin’

- So as for me! I started UA because I wanted to be a hero, although not so much because of All Might like so many of the others. I just wanted to help people and find a use for my Quirk.

- Oh, so I manipulate Oxygen! I have a whole little world building in my based on some actually research I did once but the gist in this… take away oxygen, fire and explosions can’t happen… add oxygen, fire and explosions go big boom… got it? Got it…

- So my first little sparring match with Katsuki, he didn’t think anything of me, didn’t even know my name, didn’t even have an annoying nickname for me, that’s how little he paid attention.

- But when he tried to throw an explosion in my face and I snuffed it out before he could say “DIE,” let’s just say I had his attention then.

- By attention I mean he started by hating me almost as much as he hated Deku.

- Until the next time we had to do a training and we were teamed up together. He told me to just shut my trap and let me work, which I’m like naw I ain’t the one.

- So he went to throw a big ole explosion at Kiri, who was already prepared and fully hardening… so I through a bubble of oxygen and make his explosion a possible too big of a bang. (Eiji was fine, I promise, maybe a little time with Recovery Girl).

- So now I had his attention in a good way, even if he didn’t understand that yet.

- Kats is a tsundere, I’m sorry we all know it… so he had very roundabout ways of trying to see me but didn’t wanna just admit it. Honestly I was oblivious to it, I was focused on school and shit.

- Until one day Eijiro started to put two and two together, and made a plan. He set up a study session with Katsuki, then went and invited me, not telling his bro. Eijiro told me to meet him in Bakugo’s room and I said sure.

- I get there and Kats is looking at Eijiro like he’s about to rip his head off. Then Eiji plays dumb and says he’s actually gotta run and dips, leaving us alone. Shit was awkward for a bit cause he wouldn’t just tell me to leave I’m a stubborn bitch, but by the end of the study session I was starting to crush on him hard and he was pretty sure he was gonna… well yeah. 😂

KUROSAWA SAYING WHEN YOU DIDN’T TURN TO ME I WAS SAD AND THAT ONE FUCKIN TEAR THAT FALLS FROM HIS EYES AND THE WAY HE LAUGHS AND APOLOGISES FOR BEING A MESS I NEED A NURSE like i’m gonna. Die i’m two seconds away from throwing up my heart why would he. Why did they film a movie with such intent to tear me to the ground the way he can barely speak and has to try and gather himself multiple times with deep breaths before speaking and ends up crying anyway the way adachi looks on helplessly wondering how to comfort him and let him know how much he loves him the way. The way he tries to bridge the gap between them with understanding through touch one of kurosawa’s main love languages the way kurosawa’s eyes are so glossy and doe like as he waits for adachi’s kiss the way he says his name so softly the way adachi rests his hand on kurosawa’s knee and their hands find each other so slowly…, so softly… so tenderly… the way they can literally speak 636373 words with just their hands alone and do way more for the sake of romance and true deep mutual love than anything the way none of these are in order of how they happen because my brain is seeping out of my ears naina what the actual fuck were they thinking..,, machida keita akaso eiji and kazam hiroki you will receive my medical bills shortly i’m. adachis side was perfectly analyzed in that meta i rbed earlier so i have nothing substantial to add but god for the 58302th time his Growth ..... even in ep 12 he had to get that push from tsuge to go meet w kurosawa but in the movie he could already tell kurosawa was putting up a front (and literally predicted it would happen as soon as he got the transfer offer) and he probs planned on talking abt it when he flied back to tokyo before the incident which is. ... .. and the look of determination on his face the entire time kurosawa finally broke down w no panic no overthinking like "I Am Going To Love And Cherish This Man So Hard" and comforting kurosawa w touch and no longer caring abt the magic that hes become reliant on for kurosawas sake. . Yeah im going to be ill about these two for the rest of my life thank u cm crew god bles <3

Connections to Kristof's Book of Lies #6 (Migi & Dali Observation)

The connection this time is a bit of a stretch in my opinion.

This post contains spoilers from Episode 9 of Migi & Dali.

In this episode, Migi discovers Reiko's plot to kill Hitori after Dali attempted to kill Eiji. He tries to warn Dali, but they both end up being captured by Reiko. Through some talking, Reiko supposedly allows the twins to choose who should die, and with almost no hesitation, Dali volunteers himself, saying that Migi would be able to forget about him and revenge and live on (which in my opinion is absolutely false, though Dali may have believed it).

I bring this up because Reiko attempts to kill Dali via strangulation, and it just so happens that another character actually dies in a very similar way in Kristof's The Proof.

Namely, in The Proof, a teenage Lucas takes in a woman named Yasmine and her crippled baby son, Mathias. Although they lived all together in the same house for several years, they're not quite a family, as Lucas could never love Yasmine. Eventually, Yasmine mysteriously disappears (note: it is implied that Lucas may have murdered her), leaving Mathias without anyone except for Lucas. As a result, Mathias developed abandonment issues, and constantly looked toward Lucas for affection, who he saw as a father.

Likewise, Lucas saw Mathias as a son, but in my opinion, he truly saw him as a replacement for his twin brother Claus since he could not get over their separation. After all, Mathias was a tough boy who was very intelligent for his age, just like Lucas and Claus were when they were young. It’s likely that Mathias noticed this, and he wanted to be accepted by Lucas as himself as he tried staying in school despite being viciously bullied, something the twins did not do in The Notebook.

When Lucas opened a reading room, he paid close attention to a blonde boy who reminded him of his brother. Mathias saw this and was hurt, because no matter how intelligent he was, he could never be blonde and feared that he could never truly be Lucas’ son. His fear only worsened when the boy, along with his older sister, came for breakfast, as Mathias saw the three as a beautiful, blonde family, with his own “ugly and crippled” self out of the picture. Feeling isolated, Mathias unfortunately committed suicide by hanging himself at the age of 7, which breaks Lucas.

In several ways, Dali is like Mathias, as he is very intelligent for his age, tough on the outside, but has a hidden fragility and a severe fear of abandonment and a wanting for love and acceptance. The parallel tragedy of Mathias highlights these traits, as well as Dali’s feelings of alienation and rejection as he likely felt during this scene that Migi no longer loved him and has replaced him with the Sonoyamas and Akiyama (which is why they are mentioned during their fight). Migi’s words about Dali “deciding to die by himself” likely hints at a sense of deep regret that he had hurt Dali so much, just as how Lucas had deeply regretted hurting Mathias.

Thankfully, Dali didn’t die, otherwise I’m sure that Migi’s spirit would have been completely crushed, and the story would have taken a very, very dark turn just like Kristof’s books.

Bonus: Interestingly, Mathias was noted to have curly, dark hair, which kind of sounds like Eiji to me…

Just finished ‘Banana Fish’ for the first time and I am absolutely devasted by the ending. I just need to ramble about it for a bit because I know it will not leave my head until I write it down

Just like, before Eiji gets shot, they both said ‘Sayonara’ to each other before their roles get reversed and Eiji is able to protect Ash. And then, at the hospital, their interaction is just Ash saying goodbye to him again, then Eiji yelling at him to go in order to protect him again - and that was their last actual interaction cause Ash doesn’t go to see him again after that. 

Then, the letter - ‘my soul is always with you’ - right as he dies, while Eiji on the plane is saying that he can say goodbye to America, but that he won’t say goodbye to Ash because he’s going to see him again - but he’s not ever going to be able to

It’s just Ash’s whole life was full of struggle, betrayals, and loneliness. Everyone that he cared about either abandoned him or died - his mother, Griffin, Skip, Shorter, and then he didn’t even get to properly say goodbye to Eiji in person. While he seemed fairly content, he did still die alone. 

Basically, it’s very tragic and I’m just very upset about it - really good show - definitely recommend lol
