Thinking about how Blinky opens with this line, and it has me thinking about how for more than half of Dirty Girl that the lights are purple.

Blinky’s signature colour, which implies he was actually watching Grace’s thoughts during this scene and watching it play out.

Dirty Girl also starts with pink lightly which could mean that Nibbly is the reason for Grace’s sexual hunger/desire for Max during this moment.

One thing some people need to notice it’s that “Dirty girl” is uncomfortable for a reason.

You see, theater in general it’s not supposed to leave you comfortable, theater is the exploration of the mysterious, unusual and uneven. STARKID does that job PERFECTLY.

In a scene of a Christian girl, who hates the idea of “carnal embrace” (I love how she puts it) before marriage, seeing her beliefs being questioned when she fantasies about the jock who called her dirty girl, you’re not supposed to feel super fine, it’s a unusual thing, even a creepy vision.

But the scene was just perfect for that, they make us see how Grace must have felt, they made us understand that her sexual fantasies are:

1 - PRETTY STRANGE BECAUSE OH GOD ONLY HER TO THINK THOSE THINGS

2 - prohibited at a certain point. She feels sinful and dirty, cursing her hands and thoughts after the aftermath.

The script, music and direction made the perfect scene, so we can understand Grace’s character. She is a teen who despises sex, even demonizes it, that’s what starts the beginning of her madness and I LOVE IT

His hair is blonde and soft-looking, resting in a light wave above a face that could rival that of the best Renaissance statues, all angles and cheekbones and sharp jawlines and sloped noses. He’s otherworldly, untouchable, stunning. And he’s also in Alex’s flat, where he definitely shouldn’t be. His body kicks into gear, catching up with his runaway brain. He grabs the nearest blunt object—a candle sitting on his coffee table—and brandishes it like a weapon. Fucking useful it’ll be, if he wants to kill the intruder with a damn Jo Malone candle. But it’s heavy and he can knock out his new friend with the smell of wood sage and sea salt.
