Had a butchlander teen au thought where HL comes to billy when he couldnt handle his abusive household and billy would put his own (motorcycle) helmet over HL's face so the latter could cry without fear of billy judging him how his family always did.

I didn't go out for my 21st birthday, not because my mother wasn't begging, but I've never been that person.
To sit at a bar and order a coctail? That's not the daughter my mother raised.
She started drinking when I was 8, mixing vodka with her pills after weight loss surgery, ruining family game nights.
By 10, my siblings and I knew based on the lines in her large tumblr how much ice, vodka, and cranberry juice to mix for her. I was the oldest.
When I was 11 I took a swig from the Smirnoff bottle before I walked to the bus and was initially disgusted how it tasted just like moldy bread. But huh, it made me feel lighter.
By 13, my (second) step-father would encourage my mother to crush as many cans as he could in a night, then expect me to get her to bed when he'd leave her sick in the bathroom.
And at 14 we became the "party house" the "clubhouse" for their gang of biker friends where I'd have to watch all their children, try not to yell at my mother because she lost her shirt and kissed someone else, shove smokers back into the garage when they wandered into the house.
Insomnia stuck me hardest at 15. But the thing about a party house is we had a whole china hutch full of open bottles and a garage fridge of random beers with plenty more on their way next weekend.
By 16, I kept a metal water bottle under my bed topped off with various splashes of alcohol to grimace down before bed and I went to my first rural country-kid party. My mother would ask me to drink with her on the couch.
When I graduated after turning 17, my mother threw me a party. With their friends. At our party house.
No mimosas, jell-o shots, espresso martinis.
It wad a long folding table with red cups and dozens of bottles with fancy labels, jugs of Hawaiian punch, and 2 liter sodas.
The guy I babysat for after school "mixed" my drinks all night. Sprite, orange colored Hawaiian punch, vodka, and fireball.
Just a few years ago, my mom was mixing seltzer and orange liquer to wake up in the mornings and telling me she had quit drinking.
I managed to avoid going out for my 21st birthday because my mom isn't the type of person to go to the bar for a cocktail either.

okay what’s up with the good wife out of all the media you reblog this is the most random one ?
it's not RANDOM omg that is a top three rewatch show to me... I love my silly little lawyers.... perfect mix of fun week to week cases, excellent side characters, interpersonal mess between the main cast, plus all the ways they'd imaginatively tackle Current Events. the good fight had a similar appeal - minus the focus on week to week cases and plus far more explicit politics. didn't always work, but it's one of those shows where I just kind of appreciated how willing they were to take a swing at it and get a bit weird about it. even in the good wife, they had so many Good Bits... the nsa agents who were super invested in the main cast's relationships, the liberal judge with all his Causes, the wife killer, LOUIS CANNING!! obviously, the 'in your opinion' lady, the google guy... also this is from the good fight but the federal investigator lady who always had the birds fly against her office window was a+ plus, it's such a dumb bit but it got me every time as a great appreciator of dumb bits. such a corny pair of shows that are very much like,, About Liberalism and a reckoning with that entire era of american life from an unabashedly liberal perspective, with all the inherent pitfalls and shortcomings of that pov... but does consistently manage to do interesting stuff with that starting point. a lawyer show that's also a bit of an autopsy of a mostly dead vision of america, kinda all you need sometimes
and I love alicia and will, my tragic heterosexuals!! the forbidden love of it all!! I love how cruel and selfish alicia was a lot of the time and how she's mostly in control of that relationship even though will SHOULD be the one in the position of power, how she's constantly using him and then pushing him away while will is so obviously besotted, how she simply keeps finding excuses to stop herself from being happy... does she even love him at all or does she just like him in theory, does she just want to be desired... how they always have 'bad timing' and just cannot figure their shit out... "it's romantic because it didn't happen".... "my plan is I love you" the unapologetic melodrama of it all!! the deleted voice message is?? crazy?? (eli goated character btw, the cheese lobby episode is still one of my favourite episodes of anything ever.) that lift scene is peak romance... when she leaves the firm and he feels so betrayed... his tantrum!! "I took you in when nobody wanted you"!! "you were POISON"!! "you're awful and you don't even know how awful you are"!! he's so pathetic and angry for half a season that he's resorting to just arguing with her in his head!!! always with their failed communications via phone and lift doors and loaded gazes across office spaces and delicate finger touches... the romance of it all, how they really could have worked but it's also so glaringly obvious why they kept falling apart... in the end all these repressed losers create their own misery... elite

Hey just started my thanksgiving break so I have time to make more art, yippee!!
Anyways back on bullshit: what if Zenix and Brian were besties but like also lowkey a little gay in a “Im gonna impress my friend sooo hard” way but every time Zenix attempts to do something cool he just pulls the most. Cringefail shit ever. Garroth is looking away in shame at his loser son. Brian finds it amusing, they become Shadow Knights together. Morality quarrels. I just made this way darker in my head I cannot give this kid a break

From a very early age, Eddie has always had a certain affinity for music. His mother used to joke that while carrying Eddie that her baby boy really got to wiggling when the music was loud enough. But it went far beyond just liking music. He had an ear for it.
His mother Bonnie noticed it first. Being an attentive mother and having supervised custody with his father, she spent the most time with him in his youngest years. So, she’d hum and sing to him every night. She’d play the radio in the kitchen and take his little hands in hers, dancing across the linoleum floor. Or she’d play radio in the car with the windows down so they could feel the breeze.
But when she got sick and died, the music stopped for awhile. His father was far from being fit to parent, but being geographically closer than anyone else in the Munson family, Eddie was shuffled into Eugene’s care. Those days were filled with his father’s various schemes---everything from shoplifting, various con jobs, grand theft auto, burglary. While most dads were teaching their kids to hunt or fish or throw a football, Eugene had Eddie in the front seat, showing him which wires to cut in order to steal a car.  Eugene’s criminal activities eventually landed him in prison, and it was to Eddie’s relief that it happened. His father had a dark temper, the one that had driven his mother away in the first place. He never quite knew what would set his father off some nights. While the bruises and welts gradually faded on his skin, Eddie never forgot that violence, never forgot how much it hurt.
Then his uncle Wayne came into his life---or rather Eddie was plopped down into his. The young boy was relocated to Indiana to live at the tender age of seven, and it was apparent that something had happened during the boy’s short period of time with Eugene. He was quiet, skittish, constantly shrinking in onto himself to take up less space.
Wayne and Eugene had never quite seen eye to eye growing up, and while he had no strong love for his brother, whatever remained turned to pure hatred for the fear he saw in that boy’s eyes. So, Wayne did whatever he could to make Eddie feel more at home at the trailer: new brightly patterned bedsheets, books, little toys and trinkets. But in the end, nothing bonded them more than music.
It happened incidentally one morning as Wayne prepared breakfast. He’d turned the stereo on to listen a Doobie Brothers record and Long Train Runnin’ started to play. It was something so small that changed everything. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw Eddie bobbing a little in his seat, obviously listening. “You like that?” he asked, and for the first time in over month, that kid smiled.
Wayne was the first person who truly indulged the boy’s interest in music. It started with a guitar from the pawn shop, lessons with the school’s elementary music teacher, and snowballed over the years. Once he had a foundation, Eddie could hear a song on the radio and practically play it back. He eventually started to sing. He managed to rope his friends into making a band, teaching them what he knew and learning from them as well. Though the music got louder and more rowdy as the years went on and striped shirts were traded for leather and denim vests, Wayne would always remember that smile from Long Train Runnin’.

Another Rant
I fucking hate it here
18, Filipino, Poor as fuck and isn’t allowed to have fun
That’s what I am, their child. It pains me to admit that I can’t ask to have fun because we don’t have money. They won’t even let me get a job because “that will distract you from your studies.” They don’t trust me with anything other than taking care of the house and them. They want to turn me into just their maid.
Envious, I am extremely envious of my cousins, friends, and other people who are able to enjoy their lives without the need to worry financially. I can’t go out with friends, buy tech accessories and pc parts, or even enjoy my hobbies, why? because I simply can’t afford it.
Maybe I am not depressed, I’m just poor, I don’t need friends to live but we are social animals and we need friends but the problem is that most of my friends are simply able to afford nice things, I don’t have the courage to say to them that they can pay for me whenever we go, I’m not even that nice of a person to hang out with
I have ADHD, I just keep on masking and masking and masking, heck I don’t even know who I am anymore. When I started the decision to do better, I just can’t put up with shitty things anymore, thus leading me to continuosly not exert effort in making friends. There’s simply no incentive for them to be friends with me, because I am just a poor broken man who’s struggling to even collect himself when speaking to many people at once.
My Birthday is in two days and I am currently not physically, emotionally, and mentally okay.
